  • Im looking for a stylus for Ipad Mini with a screen protector

Im a parent and looking for a (CHEAP) stylus that will work without some problems.
P.S - That this Ipad Mini has a case with a screen protector built-in.

Then you should have the information you need. There is not way to answer your question whether it will work on some unnamed case with a screen protector. Your best bet is to go to Walmart, Office Depot, etc., buy the cheapest stylus you can find, try it and return it if it does not work.

  • Best fine tip writing stylus for iPad Air?

I have some apps on my new iPad Air where I can use a stylus to jot notes, etc.  However, all I have is the fat round rubber-type stylus.  One is from Bamboo, the others were gifts.  They are awkward to use for notes, to do lists, etc.  Is there a fine tip stylus that can be used that will not harm my iPad screen?  Any recommendations/suggestions are most appreciated.

Hey! I have been writing (a lot) on my ipad for quite a while now ( a year) so i believe i can give u some tips about styli.
I have checked out all kinds of styli. The worst styli you can find out there are the rubber end ones. Even if they have a fine point they're still incapable. When ur screen or the rubber point is going to be slightly humid then its rubbish. U will need something more solid.
I have bought both Adonit Pro and Adonit Script t different times and tried them out.
I had first started using Adonit Pro. Its incredible really. The only con about it is that if ure not careful with it u can lose the disc, and also u must replace the disc every 3 months or so, depending on the rate ur using it.
I use it every single day and a lot. I do not write on paper, just on my ipad. I study medicine so u could understand i write a lot. It also has a magnet inside, which lets it attach on your ipad smartcase. It really comes in handy trust me.
Then the Script was produced and many styli users went a bit mad about if it was worth it or not etc. I liked the fact that it had no disc. BUT at the end of the day i was dissapointed. I gave it a one month chance. Many cons and few pros.
    Cons:
BATTERY required therefore heavier and u need to buy a battery average every month (not that of a big deal though)
CLICKING NOISE. if ur in a coffee shop or something like that its perfectly fine. But if ure in the library then its a pain in the *** believe me. Everyones going to be ****** at u
IPAD ORIENTATION ISSUES. If ure writing on a vertically orientated ipad then the styli works great. If its horizontally then the stylus tends to write about 1-2mm inferiorly to your tip. I tried to get used it but just couldnt. After going back to my Adonit Pro i realised i was suffocating with the Adonit Script.
    TOO EXPENSIVE.
Conclusion: I vehemently reccomend Adonit Pro.
ps1. i have nothing to do with Adonit. Just trying to help!
ps2. ill send u some pictures of my work so u get the idea of how writing with the Adonit Pro is. My writing is exactly the same when i write on paper

  • Stylus hard to use with screen protector on iPad mini

I have put a screen protector on my iPad mini and now I have to press the stylus really hard.

I use a US$4.00 stylus on my screen protected iPad with no problem.
I think the tip of your stylus is too soft.
    Try tapping instead of pressing.

  • Which Stylus for iPad Air 2

So I purchased (under the impression given by a Best Buy rep that it was fully compatible) a Wacom Intuos Stylus for my iPad Air 2... They are not compatible and I've been fighting with it for 2 days longer than the allowable refund period.
I need something capable of producing art quality drawings/graphics as well as taking notes in an note taking app...  Any thoughts, ideas, etc... would be helpful.  Thanks!

    Hello E2daG
If bluetooth isn't a big deal for you (because there is no capacitive/bluetooth/electronic stylus compatible with the iPad Air 2 yet) Please save yourself the trouble and go get an Adonit Jot Pro.  I tested every available thing today that I could get my hands on and finally decided to get one of those.
This is my first iPad (I have the Air 2) so you can imagine my surprise at trying to get a stylus and seeing so many issues. Come to find out it's because Apple modified their touchscreen capabilities and it causes screen edge issues and wobbling.
So, I went from buying the Wacom Creative Stylus 2 which I would have loved if it would have worked, to the Adonit Jot Pro from Target for 30 bucks. I saved myself about 55 bucks after taxes and I'm a happy camper!  You don't get pressure sensitivity, but you're looking for good drawing and note taking anyway.
    I hope this helps!

You cannot use SMS with any iPad.
The iPad is not a telephone.
You can use iMessage to communicate to other Apple devices.  iMessage is not SMS, and works best over WiFi.

  • Need a camera connection for iPad Air with iOS 8.1

help!  I'm leaving for Prague next week and I desperately need a camera connection kit for my Sony camera to my iPad Air!  I have one that I used on my old iPad, but obviously it doesn't work on the iPad Air!  All/any help will be much appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

Go to the Apple store and buy the camera connection kit. It provides a USB female connection, you supply the cable from the USB to your camera. Or order the kit from the Apple online store.

  • IPad comes with Screen Protector?

    hi,
i have been using an iPad2 for a couple of months now.
when I unboxed it, i removed the rubber cover which came with it. now I can see something else. Check this photo
it seems there is another protector over the screen. Can anyone tell me what it actually is and the use of it?
i've noticed that sometimes the screen is kinda sticky or not that smooth and my fingers don't slide over it smoothly. also, i have got a scratch on my ipad. can removing it solve the issue?

yup. iPad2 is my first ever Apple product even though now I own a Macbook Pro.
my brother also uses an iPad and he haven't taken that off. Same with my dad's iPhone.
are you sure that has to be removed? Isn't it there as a protector?
sorry for saying this but it costs something like $750 and i dont want to ddamage it so soon.

  • First time I planned to buy a ipad Air. After seeing ipad Air having screen problems, dropped my plan. Planning to go for samsung Note 10.1 2014 edition.

First time in my life, I planned to buy a ipad Air. After seeing ipad Air having screen problems in the community, dropped my plan. Shall I go for for samsung Note 10.1 2014 edition otherwise wait for ipad Air 2.

For every iPad Air with screen problems there's a million that work fine.. If you buy at the Apple Store take a good long look and hand it back if it's not right.

Use iTunes to do a reset to factory default condition. Always be sure to do your backups before fiddling with your iPad. You might do both the iCloud and the iTunes backup, just to be sure!

Re: IPAD2 very slow after IOS 8 upgradein response to pacoKAS
SOLVED:  IOS 8 Issues on iPad 2:
I just returned home from a visit to the Genius Bar. Like you and many others, when I upgraded my iPad 2 to IOS 8, it became practically unusable. It was VERY slow, lagged whenever trying to to do anything. Lots of screen freezes and apps spontaneously crashing. I was convinced that the processor on the iPad 2 just couldn't handle the new IOS and I went in to see about restoring to IOS 7.
Thankfully, I was hooked up with a very sharp guy at the bar. The problem is not with the OS, it is with it being an *upgraded* OS. He used the analogy of when you had an older Windows computer and how over time (and over upgrades), they just tended to get slower and slower because of all of the garbage that was carried forward in the upgrades. At those times (and if you've ever had a Windows computer, you get this), the only thing that would speed it up would be to wipe the machine and do a fresh install of the current OS and then reload your apps, and the viola, everything would be fast again. Well, it turns out that IOS can suffer the same problems.
THE FIX:  FIRST, be sure you have a current iCloud backup of your device.  Connect your iPad to a computer that has a clean fresh copy of IOS 8 on iTunes (this is best done with a computer other than the one that you sync your device to because you DO NOT want to restore it from a back up just yet). Ideally, if you do this at an Apple store you'll be assured of the right version there and someone to answer any questions you might have along the way. You then hold the power and home button down to hard-reset the device and continue to hold them down until it reboots into recovery mode. You then follow the instructions on the computer to reinstall the OS on the device (which wipes everything from it and then reinstalls a clean copy of it). Once this is done (which only takes about 15 minutes), your device will reboot and ask you to set it up. Answer the questions about language, location, etc. and continue until it asks you to log into your iTunes account. Once you do that, it will ask if you want to either 1) Set it up as a new device, 2) Restore from iCloud, or 3) Restore from iTunes. Choose (2), restore from iCloud. This will ensure that it brings down "clean" copies of all of your apps and preferences rather than the potentially corrupted ones that might reside in your iTunes backup. That's it! It will take a few hours depending on how much data and apps you have, but I am happy to report that my iPad 2 is now running IOS 8 and it's running as fast as it ever did when it was brand new!
To sum it up, this process 1) Wipes your device and the garbage causing your problems, 2) Loads a clean and bug-free version of IOS 8 to your device, and 3) restores your apps and data so that it looks just like it did before the wipe, with the exception that it works now!  :-)
Note also that by following this process you don't have to go through the painful and laborious process of reloading all of your apps, data and/or settings. iCloud takes care of all of that for you.

  • Protective Screen/Microfiber cloths for iPad Air 2?...

So what cloth is best to use on my nekkid iPad Air 2?
This is iPad related... I am not super fond of the Zagg type microfiber cloths to clean my new iPad so I went to Office Depot to buy some more soft ones with thicker fibers and when I went home to rinse them with soap and water and found they leaked a bunch of Red dye. Do all microfiber cloths like this blead dye? http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/328506/Ativa-Microfiber-Cleaning-Cloths-Re d-Pack/
Or are there some white ones or something that would be better?
And if i put a small amount of water on the cloth will it dye my iPad's white bezel or screen? What is the best cloth to use for iPad Air 2?
Side Note: I chose not to get a protective glass or plastic cover as it hinders the screen and I have dealt with too many issues installing them in the past and having "professionals" intall them did not help. Several Apple store employees even recommended against them. And they were cool about how they told me they werent necessarry unless i'm a person always travelling or using my iPad roughly. It was 2 different dudes that suggested it too.
sorry this is a random and odd post with different questions,
    But main questions are:,
1: Protive screen:..... Do I NEED one if I don't take my iPad anywhere but my room?
2: Screen Cloth:..... What kind of or where can I get a good thick microfiber cleaning cloth that won't bleed and will not scratch my iPad Air? (like will a White one work?)
Thanks so so much for any help.
    K.

Microfiber cloths will vary widely depending on where you get them & the brand. I haven't really come across any color bleeding issues with the cloths I've used when they've been washed as they have all been light in color (3M white, 3M blue, various other brands green/yellow/orange).
One thing that is a big concern to me personally is the shedding of the microfiber fibers and/or dust from the cloth itself. One test I now use is to hold the cloth and hit the iPad/iDevice screen with a loose , heavy section of it repeatedly about 10 times (kind of like beating the dust out of a regular dust cloth against a hard surface). Some cloths will shed ALOT of fibres onto the screen and can be see after only one or two hits. These are the cloths I avoid since simply wiping the screen with it leaves tons of fibers & dust behind. And they will also tend to exhibit that same behavior even after being washed multiple times.
The best ones I've found are those made by 3M and some that are sold in AutoZone (yes, AutoZone).

  • Anyone else having issues with iPad Air touch screen x y  positioning inaccuracy?

I have a 128GB WiFi Cellular iPad Air with IOS 7.0.3 installed. I have noticed, especially with the Photos app, that where you touch on the screen isnt exactly what is returned by the iPad. For example, if I want to view a photo in a display of a series of thumbnails I have to actually touch the photo to the left of the one I want to view. If I touch the one I want to view, the one to the right expands to full screen. I am hoping this is just a software issue. If not, then this one is going to be returned while I still have time in the initial 30 day window.

Well, I think I figured out the problem. I had a pdf file somehow loaded into the camera roll. All images before the pdf were opening appropriately, but the ones ater that file were always shifted to the right. I deleted the pdf file and now they all open correctly.

  • Asked for iPad Air 2 box says iPad Air no 2  64GB with wi fi cellular. is this correct?

asked for iPad Air 2 box says iPad Air no "2"  64GB with wifi cellular. Is this correct?

My iPad Air 2 WiFi 64 GB box does not say "iPad Air 2", only "iPad Air", even on the back where it lists the product. It is confusing (why Apple decided to mess with us, I don't know). And, since mine will be a Christmas gift that was shipped to me, with little time to exchange it before the holiday, a little unsettling to say the least.
Here is what an Air 2 box should look like...
