BEx - empty value(#) in navigation Block (filter)

Hello experts,
i have navigation attribute in navigation block (query). It means that data in filter are read directly from master.
This nav. attribute has 2 compounded IOs.
i can see value in filter as below.
#/#/001
#/#/002
#/#/003
1/2/004
2/3/005
The values #/#/001, #/#/002, ... are stored in master data table. I would like to see only rows where fields are filled (1/2/004, 2/3/005, ...).
Do you have any idea ?
Maybe it's possible to supress these values in Info Object - folder "Master Data" - "Master Data Access" - "Own Implementation" - class

In query designer, select your IO and navigate its properties. You will see it.

Input variable takes value from current filter setting in navigation block

Hi
Is there is a way in SAP, maybe with customer exit, to fill a input variable for 0CALMONTH (which in the end will get a value like "06.2005") with the current value from the selected month in the filter settings of the time characteristic 0CALMONTH in the navigation block of a query?
I guess the filter values are transferred back to the OLAP engine so the server knows the filter values of course and theoretically might be able to fill a variable with it...?

Thanks for your suggestion Vikram. But if i change in the Info-object leve, i hope it will be reflected in all the Queries that are using this info-object. I want it for a particular query alone.
Also, in the Info-object level, for the option 'Query execution Filter value' the value is given as 'Value in Master Data Table' only. Still, it is User specific.

How to set the default value filters for navigational block in WAD.

Hi Experts.
as per the customer requirement . they have bex report we need to convert in to web. but in the bex for one field they using default filters but am not aware in the WEB reports.
Please anyone suggest me how to give the default filter values in the navigation block in WAD.

Hi,
In the Properties of the Navigation Block pane. Goto WebItem-- Goto List of Characteristics, in that click list it will pop up new window, there enter the required objects wants to be in the default filter area.

Could any one explains what is the difference between a filter and Generic navitgation block & a filter and Hierarchy filters.
How the filters in web reports differs the filters in queries.

Filters:
In your Web application, you can select filter values for characteristics and structures. The Web application is then filtered according to these selected values.
Generic Navigation Block:
The Web item Generic Navigation Block displays the navigational state of a query view in the Web application in the form of a table. All characteristics and structures in the query view are listed in the table and their filter values are displayed. You can change the navigational status of the query view. You can transfer characteristics and structures to an axis (rows or columns) or from an axis. You can filter according to single values and remove the filter again.
Hierarchy Filter:
You can search through leaves and nodes in the hierarchies of your Web application.

Passing variable values to the navigation block

Hi WAD Experts,
I have a requirement regarding passing variable values to the navigation block. User requirement is first give the selections on the selection screen and then after executign output should display in browser. In the output page we have a navigation block. So when user gives selections those selections should also populate in the navigation block. Your help will be appreciated.

Hi,
if your variable is 'Changeable at Query Navigation' the chosen values will appear in the Navigationblock.
Variables which are 'Not Changeable at Query Navigation'
will not appear.
You can set this Property when you create a Variable.

Filter Values for character in Filter not to display in WAD 3.5

Dear SDN's,
We built a query in BI 7.0.In the query we taken one character Material in Default Values and make Default values M1,M2,M3.
In default values we restricted Material with M1,M2,M3.
We created WAD for this query in WAD 3.5 version.And in the navigation block we taken this character under list of characters,and we have filter also for this WAD.
When we executed this WAD through browser,under Material filter it showing filter values as M1,M2,M3.
i.e Material drill down and values M1,M2,M3.
and below it showing the report correctly.
We doesnt want to display the values M1,M2,M3 next to material filter.It should be shown balnk.
I checked the properties of WAD,Filter,Navigation but not found.

How can I pass empty value in URL Parameter

I am passing different URL parameters to one page, to filter
the recordset on that page. How can I pass an empty value in the
URL parameter so that the recordset in unfiltered?
The URL parameter is based on one field of the database:
ContentType. So, the link would be to
default.asp?ContentType=Event
and then all records that have the ContentType field in the
DB as Event are displayed. Is it possible to use this system to
pass an empty parameter so that all records are displayed?

Insert 600 variable values in pop up filter of a web query

Hello all,
in order to analyze some Material movements I have to insert 600 material numbers in the selction of a query. In Bex Analyzer I can copy and paste the variable in the variable pop up screen.
But when I execute the query in web the filter pop up screen is different to the sap gui pop up screen from Bex Analyzer.
How can I insert 600 variable values in the variable filter screen when I execute a query in web?
The BW release is 3.5 Any ideas would be great.

Hi 
I don't think that option is possible in Web Reporting. However you may include different ranges of material numbers at the same time for ths purpose. 
Something is better than nothing

Hi WAD Experts,
I'm trying to pass variable values to the navigation block. I have already set my variable as ''Changeable at Query Navigation' but it's not working. The chosen values not appear.
Any ideas? I'm on a Bw 3.5 version.

Hi ste,
I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve.
The navigation block will display the characteristics and key figure structure from your query / view.
Why are you trying to pass the variable values to it? Are you trying to display what the user has selected to run their report? If so - just used the Text Elements web item and display the values there.

Navigation block in WAD gives an error

Hi experts,
i added a u201Enavigation block u201E into an existing web template.
If I run Template with u201Cexecute in Browser u201C button in WAD. Everything is ok. I see the navigation block and I can work with it .
But if I run the template on company portal and filter an infoobject in navigation block, I get this error message.
"Field symbol is not yet assigned" / GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED.
The current ABAP program "CL_UC_MD_CHAR=================CP" had to be
terminated because it has come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Do you have any idea, should I change some settings ?

How can i change the iview ?
Is it also related which role the web templete is assigned ?
How can i find out which role ?

XML Form - Empty value for param servername

As per my knowledge this can be done.

Just call the Bapi/Data service which is giving the searched values after the filter button event is triggered.And mentioned that Bapi/data service in the dynamic property of the Drop down list.Do not forget to assign that link with the value selceted before the filter button is clicked.

you have to perform the same action but while reseting just send a blank or null value for search to Bapi/data service. Then do the same mentioned above.Since there will be no input for the search bapi/data service so no values will be populated in drop down.

Navigation Block and RRI

Hello everybody,
I use the RRI to jump from one report Q1 to another report Q2. Both report are using the same webtemplate W1
(the report is send as parameter to W1.)
Both reports have the same structure and they are build one the same InfoProvider.
I have a navigation block which is the same in both. (contains exactly the same objects)
Let's say I open Q1, I do some navigation, I remove a column from drilldown, restrict to a value, I drilldown another object into rows.. After that I jump to Q2 via Go To.
What I want is that through this jump also the navigation block to be transferred. I mean the drilldown, the removed column to be not shown as in previous report..
Is there any solution at this (keep "settings" from Navigation after jump), or any alternative will be useful.

let's put the same problem for
Q1 in W1
Q2 in W2
in structure, W1 and W2 are identicaly.
jump from Q1(W1) to Q2(W2) and transmit the navigation block.. how?
p.s. also answers like: this is not posible will be helpful. I have to know if it is posible and if yes..how?

Navigation block shows text and key

Hello everybody!
Happy new year for all.
I have a problem with the web navigation block. I have setup that only the text is shown. If I use the attribute in the report or in the navigation block I see the text only (that is what I need). Now I will choose some attributes and I click in the navigation block on the attribute. A new window opens and in this window I see the text and the key but I don't need the key in the popup I only need the text. Any solutions?
Example (cars):
Ford               A
Opel               B
VW                C
Honda            D

that is my problem. I have an hierarchy added to the attribute.
BEx Query -> Attribute -> View as = Text -> Hierarchy has no view as settings.
Any other ideas.

Navigational Block - Key Figure Order

I have a structure that appears within the navigational block. To meet the needs of the user we created a key figure for Shipments, etc for each month. When the user click on the filter to pick what they want, the month of Feb displays at the end of the list. Also the query displays the results with the month of February at the end. Is there something in web template or query to sort the keys figures properly? Thanks, Steve

I guess this is why I am confused. All the months/key figures are correctly ordered in the query. It is a time the query is executed and the user goes into the structure through the navigation block that the order is incorrect. I also thought the order in the query should dictate the order the user sees and the query display.

System.Exception: null or empty values

Have designed a 4 part form Using DW MX, ASP.NET C# and MySQL
and currently getting the below error when moving from one page to
the next.
The web.config file is on the server, there are no null or
empty values, and the key tags match.
I am new to applicaiton development in DW and am now stuck -
