BHOLD Modelgenerator / Modelloader: missing application name in permission in the Role definition of the exportflie.

I have 2 applications (SAP-T and SAP-R) stored in BHOLD Core with same permission: Administrator.
I have 2 roles (Koos Test1 and Koos Test2) stored in BHOLD Core. "Koos Test1" role has been connected to
permission Administrator belonging to application SAP-R and the "Koos Test2" role has been connected to permission Administrator belonging to application SAP-T.
When I make an export with BHOLD Model Generator, these permissions have correctly been stored:
  <application name="SAP-T" module="" parameter="0" protocol="DCOM">
    <Permission name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
  </application>   <application name="SAP-R" module="" parameter="0" protocol="DCOM">
    <Permission name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
  </application>
But the 2 roles are not correctly been stored in the export file:
  <role name="Koos Test1">
    <task name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
  </role>   <role name="Koos Test2">
    <task name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
  </role>
The missing link is the definition of the application to which the permission belongs.
This means that the role model is not correct when I import this generated export file into another BHOLD environment
with Modelloader.

Koos,
I just went through this and I definitely see unexpected behavior but not quite like yours........When I do this, the roles are added fine and the applications are added fine. However, it only makes one 'Administrator' permission to me and links it to both
roles. Not sure if this is related to using same name for permissions with different apps or what. My version of BHOLD I am testing this with is 5.0.2724.......this is the pertinent contents of my export file:
 <!-- START OF Create applications and permissions -->
  <application name="SAP-T" module="" parameter="SAP-T" protocol="DCOM">
    <Permission name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
  </application>
  <application name="SAP-R" module="" parameter="SAP-R" protocol="DCOM">
    <Permission name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
  </application>
  <!-- END OF   Create applications and permissions -->
 <role name="Koos Test 1">
    <task name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
  </role>
  <role name="Koos Test 2">
    <task name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
  </role>
  <!-- END OF   Roles definitions -->
One thing..........I used 'Administrator' as both permission name and description. Perhaps if the descriptions are different but the names are the same, it would show the expected results.......I will have to test this later......

  • "You can't open the application [application name] because it may be damaged or incomplete"

    I just wiped a Macbook Pro and freshly installed OS 10.6.3.(since ran updates to 10.6.8) I installed Adobe CS4 and when you try to open InDesign, bridge or Illustrator you get the error message:
    "You can't open the application [application name] because it may be damaged or incomplete" The Icon to each of these three also have crossed out symbol over them.
    I have done this whole process twice, the 2nd time I used a different Adobe Install CD and a different license, same result.
    Photoshop and Acrobat work fine. What happened to these three?

    I am having a simular problem with cs5.5 Dreamweaver.

  • Using Application Name twice while registering a Concurrent Program

    Hi,
    When we create a Concurrent PRogram,
    1) We first create an executable. In the executable screen, we give the name of the Application like Receivables, Payables etc.
    2) Next we Define the Concurrent program and attach the executable. Here also we give the Application Name like Receivables, Payables etc.
    Question is, when the executable already has information about the Application Name, then why do we have to give it again in the Concurrent Program Define Screen.
    Looking for a prompt response.
    Thanks
    Saurabh

    Hello Helios,
    I dont have any problem in creating a concurrent program or executable.
    I am just trying to understand the concept that why do we need to give the Application Name twice, one while Creating the Executable and one while define the Concurrent Program.
    Because if you look at the executable, we already have give the Application Name and then we attach this Execiutable to the Concurrent PRogram Defintiiion, then why again we give the Application name in the Concurrent PRogram Def Screen.
    Thanks

    Taken at face value, you're having trouble with a Windows operating system file there.
    Perhaps try an sfc /scannow. For instructions, see the following Microsoft document:

  • TNS-01151: Missing listener name - APPS_VIS

    Hi,
    We completed the installation of E-BIZ Database and Application onto separate VMs via Oracle's eDelivery templates. Both new VMs are up and running per the OVM Manager.
    However, we are not able to connect to the eBusiness Application. Per the e-Business Suite Rapid Install guide, we should be able to verify installation by accessing:
    http://<host name>.<domain name>:<HTTP port>/OA_HTML/AppsLogin
    We receive a HTTP Internal Error when trying to access this.
    Numerous verification steps have been performed including:
    - Testing network connectivity (ping) between APP VM and DB VM using the hostname
    - Checking that the tnslsnr on DB VM is listening on port 1521, which is what was also configured for APP VM
    - Checking that the httpd on APP VM is listening on port 8000
    I am unable to run lsnrctl to check the status - how should my profile be set to be able to run this as I receive: lsnrctl: error while loading shared libraries: libclntsh.so.10.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
    I have also included adalnctl.txt log from the E-BIZ Application Server. I'm not sure whether the LISTENER.ORA on the APP or DB server should be updated. And if so what should it be updated with?

    Just a follow-up to this thread. We have now been able to start and successfully login to the e-Business Suite.
    The source of the problem was in the installation of the e-Business Suite (via template) - it previously never completed successfully due to:
    1) DNS - No DNS has been setup with the new virtual hosts as this is simply a prototyping activity. We found that it initiates connection with DB host during installation and will not complete successfully if one is not found. Furthermore, the /etc/hosts file is wiped of existing entries and replaced just with the host of the e-Business application server everytime ebiz_1211_reconfig.sh is run. Workaround is to login to the host during the reconfiguration and update the /etc/hosts file just after it instantiates the static IP address
    2) Apps Password - The application could not startup as it was connecting to the database with a locked out user account. It uses the 'app' user to login to the DB - hence the apps password set during the e-Business application installation must correlate with the app user on the database - in this instance we kept it as apps/apps
    After resolving the above issues we are able to connect through the web URL to e-Business Suite.
    My next question is, assuming our database instance is called 'VIS', why is adalnctl trying to look for APPS_VIS in the listener.ora? I read
    Thanks.

  • Applications not working, permission errors.

    Hi,
    I have read various threads on here which are asking similar things but I cant seem so find a solution. So heres my situation:
    I went travelling last year. I have an Imac and before I went I backed it up and transferred the itunes library over to a new Macbook Pro. I then set up the Imac at my brothers house with a separate user account for him. He hardly used the computer while I was away. I got the Imac back from him yesterday. I deleted his user account, installed various software updates that came up and everything seemed fine. Whilst away id added new music to the Macbook Pro so yesterday I tried to transfer the newer itunes library on to my Imac. It didn't seem to work so I had to individually add the music back into itunes. It all seemed fine. Then today randomly whilst using Itunes the wheel of death appeared so I force quit. Then after that I can't open Itunes I just get this message : The Itunes Library file is locked, on a locked disc, or you do not have write permission for this file'
    Then I noticed that I can't open Chrome or Skype either. Some things like Photoshop, Skype, Dropbox, Textedit open but then can't be properly used. Dropbox says a message about permissions. I went in to Disc Utility and verified the permissions then repaired permission. It said the disc was fine. Nothing changed. I followed some advice on a forum which said to Get Info on Macintosh HD, click the cog and select 'Apply to enclosed items'. The problems still havent gone away. I also followed another forum with advice from Linc Davies. I tried logging in as a guest and then I could open itunes and things. I logged in in Safe mode and the problems were back again. I typed in to Terminal 5 steps of script that Linc Davies had posted, the results are here:

    I am currently backing up using time machine to an external hard drive. Thinking I might erase the disc and re install from the back up that I did before I went travelling. But really Im not sure what Im doing or if this is the best course of action. Can anybody help with all this? I would much appreciate any help or advice any one can give before I bite the bullet and ring apple. Thanks!

    First, repair the permissions of the startup volume in Disk Utility. That will undo some of the damage. Then see below.
    Back up all data before proceeding.
    This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
    Step 1
    If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
    Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
    Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
    You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
    The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
    Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
    Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
    from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
    res
    Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
    Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
    Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
    Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
    Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
               ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

    Hi Isaac Goldfarb,
    Based on BurrWalnut and Andre.Ziegler’s suggestion, please try to run SFC scan to solve this issue:
    System File Checker (SFC) scan can troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on your computer.
    Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, type
    cmd in the Start, right-click Command Prompt, and then click
    Run as administrator in the bpottom. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Yes.
    At the command prompt, type the command sfc /scannow and then press
    ENTER.
    The
    sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.
    For more information, please review this article Sfc to get more help:

    If you go to Options>Applications or Options>Device>Application Management, do you see any indication of App World being present in the list?
    If so, delete them and reboot once more.
    Once done, go to the website and try to reinstall. Let me know if you get the error message again.

  • Missing application software

    hi, my photobooth software is gone. i still have the photobooth photos but the application itself is now missing. i tried using the applications cd that came with the computer to reinstall it, but it didn't work. i had upgraded to snow leopard (& i think photobooth is included in that) when it came out but that was a download...does anyone know how to get my photobooth back without having to pay for the download again?

    You can restore PhotoBooth from your Snow Leopard installer DVD. Then run the 10.6.2 Combo Updater which will in turn upgrade the version installed from the DVD.
    How to Use Pacifist to Replace Deleted or Missing OS X Components
    Insert the OS X Installer DVD into the optical drive. Use a simple utility like TinkerTool to toggle invisibility so you can see invisible items. Alternatively, open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder and at the prompt enter the following:
    defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles Yes
    Press RETURN.
    To turn off the display of invisible files repeat the above command substituting No for Yes.
    The install packages are located in the /System/Installation/ folder on the DVD.
    Download the shareware utility Pacifist from VersionTracker or MacUpdate. Use it to extract a fresh copy of the missing item(s) from the file archives on your OS X installation DVD. The file archives are in the /System/Installations/ folder (use Go to Folder option in the Go menu of the Finder.)
    Here are Four Basic ways to use Pacifist (courtesy of George Orville.)
    A. Drag a .pkg icon onto the Pacifist window .....proceed to step 7.
    B. Click on “Open Package ....” and navigate to package desired and click “Open” in the open/save window.....proceed to step 7.
    C. Insert Mac OS X installer CD and when it mounts, navigate to .... Menu->Go->Go to Folder.
    In the path field enter or paste ....
    /Volumes/disc name/System/Installation/Packages (where disc name is the name of the CD/DVD that you inserted.
    • Click on the "Go" button .....
    • Drag a .pkg to Pacifist..... proceed to step 7.
    The package you'll need will have to be discovered by trial and error, but for most applications you should start with the Essentials.pkg and/or Additional Essentials.pkg.
    D. Insert your Mac OS X install disk 1 .... and open Pacifist.
    1. In Pacifist, select "Open Mac OS X Install Packages" ... dialog may appear asking for disk 2, then disk 3 and finally disk 1 again.... {if DVD is not used)...If “Stop Loading” is selected...the procedure will stop!!!
    2a. When loading is complete, a new window appears, click the triangle to display contents of each package...Select item and proceed to step 7.
    2b. or click the “Find” icon in the Pacifist window and type the name of the software you need.
    3. In the list that comes back, click the top most entry for the item that you want. ..... that is the one for the English language.
    4. On the top of the Pacifist window, click “verify” .... you will probably be prompted for your password.
    5. Enter checks for.... “verify permissions” and “verify file contents.” and click “verify” ....enter password when prompted.... you will get back output which may look like this:
    20 files were scanned.
    20 of 20 files were present on the hard disk.
    0 of 20 files had file permissions that did not match those specified in the package.
    0 of 20 files had checksums that did not match those specified in the package.
    6. Click “close”. Go to step 7.
    Extract or Install........
    7. In the Toolbar (upper left), you now have the option to extract or install. Click a file in the lower list and those two icons will be enabled.
    8. If “Extract to...” is selected.... navigate to the location where the file will be placed, select “choose”, select “extract” in new dialog that appears,authenicate , if prompted, click “OK”.
    9. In the next dialog, click “Extract”.
    10. If “Install” is selected... dialog will appear with the location/path of the installed software. Click “Install”
    11. Type in your password, click “OK”
    • Pacifist will begin to extract files.
    12. In steps 8/10ß.... you also have the choice to “cancel”
    Notes.....
    • Pacifist may find that a file it is installing already exists on the hard disk. Pacifist will present you with an alert panel....
    Stop
    Leave original alone
    Update ..... Default selection
    Replace .... Replace option should only be used on full install packages

  • Deploytool:  Missing JNDI Names tab

    I'm attempting the ConverterApp example in the J2EE 1.3 tutorial. In the section titled 'Specifying the JNDI Names' are the following instructions;
    To map the enterprise bean references in the clients to the JNDI name of the bean, follow these steps.
    1. In the tree, select ConverterApp.
    2. Select the JNDI Names tab.
    3. To specify a JNDI name for the bean, in the Application table locate the ConverterEJB component and enter MyConverter in the JNDI Name column.
    4. To map the references, in the References table enter MyConverter in the JNDI Name for each row.
    My problem is that deploytool doesn't display a tab labeled 'JNDI Names'. I see only tabs labeled 'General', 'Roles', and 'Web Context', whereas figure 2-1 in the example shows a deploytool screen that displays tabs labeled 'General', 'JNDI Names', 'Web Context', and 'Security'.
    I've tried the deployment steps twice, so I don't think I've missed a step. What can be wrong? I,m running Application Development Tool Version 1.4. Is this the wrong version for this tutorial?

    Are you sure that you have selected the application and not he jar from the tree. I'm not sure which one it is, but you should play with that, the gui is a little tricky and depending on whether you have selected the jar or the ejb itself, different menu options will be available.
    Sorry I couldn't be more help, but that gui has given me grief in the past so I thought I'd throw it out there.

    I reloaded iTunes 10 (64 bit) successfully, but the problem remains the same.
    Any suggestions?

    I looked in the folder from which I want to synch photos, but there is no such thing as an "ipod photo cache" in that folder, or sub-folders, as suggested in the link which you were nice enough to provide.
    I have also tried removing photos from my iPad2 Photos App, and "iTunes has stopped working" shows up  again as soon as I click on the "Synch photos from" button.
