BI content for Support Desk (Solman)

Hi all,
     What are the standard infoprovides (Cube and ODS) available for Support desk (solman). Where can i find the BI content for reports, cube for support desk alone.

You can goto Business Content InfoProviders by InfoAreas  rtside Customer Relationship ManagementCRM Analytics--Service Analyses.
In the same way you can select for other objects also..ie Query,infoobjects,Infosources...
Mostly these were the ICUBE and ODS used,

    We have designed workflow for triggering mails based on status changes, in solution manager support desk so our requirement is to have BSP link with the mail contents so that support team members by clicking that link in email it should take him to the particular ticket and he will change the status to inprocess, so can u guide me how to do this or provide me the BSP application and link format with guid or object id.

  • Time updation for Support desk message and business calender working hours

    Hi Experts,
    I would like to know how to set the time updation of Support desk message in CRM_DNO_MONITOR. After i receive a new message in it, I can see the from timing and to timing (even after changing the status of message) as 00:00:00. Is there any standard job to automatically update the timing of message?
    Also i would like to know, how to set the working hours for various days. Lets say i want to set my business hours for Monday from 10am to 6pm and for Tuesday as 9am to 5pm.
    Suitable points will be rewarded.

    Hi,
    The reason is "created by me" selects the role "Creator" of a message/notification.
    There are three roles "Creator", "Contact" or "Reporter" and "Responsible" or "Processor".
    The creator is identified by his user name and the others by their BP-ID.
    Therefore using the report "created by me" does not work if your users are defined for BPgen only.
    That it works you have additionally to define in BP the role "BUP003 - Employee".
    You find in the transaction BP for "BUP003 - Employee" in the tab "identfication" a field "User Name".
    If you enter the User-ID the user  has in the Solution Manager then it works.

  • Customize screen for Support Desk Message

    Hi all,
    I want to customize the screen layout of a Support Desk Message.
    In the standard Screen Profile of a Support Desk Message you can select a subject. When selecting a subject, you are selecting a Code. I want to add an extra selection field above the Subject field. For example "Main Subject". And the Main Subject should display the Code Group. When people select the Main Subject first (Code Group), than only subjects (codes) are visible which belongs to that Main Subject. Could somebody help me out here.

    Looking for your post and your requirement, you can't do this screen layout modification. It required use a ABAP techiniqué like a SCREEN EXIT or modify a standard screen.
    Using a standards customizing, you can put a specific subscreen (a screen into a specific tab) or disable a screen. For all this cases you need tell how you access the message (for TA. CRM_DNO_MONITOR or TA. RNOTIFWL) because there are two diferents paths to configure in the IMG.

  • Use of two different Transcations for Support Desk Message

    Hi All,
    I am using Service Desk Support Message Transaction SLFN
    Now to do some customizing i have copied SLFN to ZLFN and made some changes to Status and Date Profile.
    I have added this transaction ZLFN into the PROCESS_TYPE  field value in the Transaction code: DNO_CUST04
    Query:
    Is there a way to use both the transaction type SLFN and ZLFN, as SLFN is being used for another project in the same system.
    Please suggest.

    Hi Pradeep L,
    Before support package 18 of the SAP Solution manager, the service desk does not support multiple transaction type. So when you create a notification, you can not select transaction type. That means you can not use two transaction type in one service desk.
    But in Support package 18 and later version, the service desk will support multiple transaction type.
    Support package 18 will be released to customer soon. Most probabily , the end of this month.

  • Error while creating change request via solman support desk message

    I have configured CHARM and my change req. is working for urgent correction, I have tested the entire workflow.
    however when i try to create a new change req. via support desk message --> create a change request open
    I get following error
    An action was terminated due to an exceptional situation.
    Message no. SOCM_ACTION_LOG 090
    Diagnosis
    An exception has been triggered in PPF action processing.
    System Response
    Action processing has been terminated. The status of the transaction is still incorrect.
    Procedure
    You cannot execute the action until the cause of the error has been removed.
    The error messages will be kept until the transaction is next checked for subsequent analysis.
    Procedure for System Administration
    If necessary, analyze other messages in the application log for the incorrect transaction. To analyze the termination, you can activate the breakpoints in the checkpoint group socm_exception.
    Additional Information:
    Exception CX_SOCM_PRECONDITION_VIOLATED occurred (program:
    CL_HF_HELPER==================CP, include:
    CL_HF_HELPER==================CM00A, line: 29).

    Your probably have changed the transaction type SLFN to a the customer namespace Z or Y. If this is the case you MUST also "Define Mapping Rules for Copy Control".
    Goto SPRO -> SAP Solution Manager -> Scenario-Specific Settings -> Change Management -> Change Request Management -> Extended Configuration -> Change Transaction -> Change Transaction Types -> Copy Control for Change Request Management ->  Define Mapping Rules for Copy Control.
    Once at this point in the IMG make a copy of SLFN -> ZLFN. This will resolve your problem.

    Hello!
    I would like to set up the business partners for Service Desk in SAP Solution Manager.
    If I choose the solution and execute "Edit --> Create Business partner" for the SAP R/3 4.7 then I get the warning “no users are shown under the system”.
    For the SAP SRM 5.0 I get only one user (SOLMAN<SID><CLNT>), meanwhile I set the data selection to blank.
    I also copied the user account of  SOLMAN<SID><CLNT> to the user test with no success.
    I have assigned the Object S_RFC_ and S_USER_GRP.
    The users have also the profile SAP_ALL.
    How can this problem be solved?

    I have assigned the role "SAP_SM_S_USER_GRP" to the user with RFC_READ connection, refreshed the last alert in DSWP and tha is.

    Answering your question!
    Ans. 1. Either user should have SAP_ALL + S_RFC.. it is very important to have S_RFC object. SAP excluded S_RFC from SAP_ALL for the security reason.
    or , any user should have authority to create and delete users + S_RFC, S_RFCACL & S_T-CODE.. I just did my setup, so I remember after searching for long long....
    Ans. 2. you need the following RFC's for sattelite system;
    >>> SM_<SID>CLNT(CLIENT#)_READ
    >>> SM_<SID>CLNT(CLIENT#)_TRUSTED
    >>> SM_<SID>CLNT(CLIENT#)_TMW
    you should see them in solman sm59.... make sure you use proper user with proper OBJECT. other wise, u'll see bunch of dumps every hour.. Let me know if you need any other help!!

  • Authorisation for creator to confirm his messages in support desk

    Hi Friends,
    I have configured support desk functionality where user creates a support message.This message is handled by 1st level support team.If  1st level  is not able to resolve it is sent to 2nd level.
    Also support message can be created by 1st level and 2nd level support team also.
    My requirement is user should confirm his messages only and it should not be done by others.similarly messages created by 1st level support team should be confirmed only by them  so as 2nd level should
    confirm their own messages.
    Is there any way to control these through authorisation.

    Let me simulate the whole process for you.
    lets assume you have transaction type say T.
    1) Go to spro and find the text determination proc asssigned to T.
    path: SAP solution manager-> scenario specific settings-> Service desk-> general
    settings-> Define Transaction types. Here you find the Text determination Proc assigned to transaction type.
    2) Now navigate to the Text determination proc that you found above following:
    path: SAP solution manager-> scenario specific settings-> Service desk-> Text Determination proc-> Define TEXT types Or Text Ids.

How to map the complex type. i got only one option "Supporting Content" and beside it Supporting content Key and XPath values. wht values do i need to give there.

    If I got it right, content key and xpath are required only for Supporting Content (e.g. if you have an image of an invoice, a supporting content can be a purchase order document associated with the invoice).

    The only way this could be achieved is through the use of BADI....You need to find a BADI which triggers on sucessfull save of a business partner....
    Within this BADI, you need to do a lot of coding which woould in turn create support desk message for you.....and this requires a lot of CRM technical know-how..

    is it possible to integrate the SolMan's Support Desk into the Netweaver Portal?
    If yes, how ? I'd like to integrate the surface and in this way I would need some comments on how to integrate available iviews and how to configure the SSO. I don't want to use the SAP GUI elements. Is there a way to solve it?
