BI Pattern Wizard Question? BI 7.0

Hi, When creating a new Web Template in WAD I am invoking the BI Wizard. I select the "Small Web Template w/Analysis Item and 1DP", but only 2 steps are shown.
1. Web Template Properties and Data Provider Settings
2. Analysis Item (Confusing at best)
I was expecting to have to select and configure quite a bit more like filter area, drop downs, etc. Any ideas why only 2 steps are showing up?

BI Pattern Wizard Role Missing in 2004s!

Hi, In the Front-end design guidlines document for 2004s the BI Pattern Wizard Section mentions that the reuseable Web Items are available in role SAP_BW_PATTERN_OBJECTS. I can't find this role in the system and it doesn't show up in Business Content as available either. Googling shows that the Role is only mentioned in only one place and that's the document I'm referring to.
1. Is anyone using BI Patterns successfully in 2004s?
2. Anyone know how to access Role SAP_BW_PATTERN_OBJECTS?

Can anyone from SAP confirm this Role?

Forgot to mention I am already on SP10 and have the wizard working fine. Just that when I go to specify a reuseable web item I do not see any of the standard items from SAP. According to the paper I need that Role!
How can I fix this so that I can see them?

Dear All,
I tried playing around with the Pattern Wizard in WAD on 2004s.
The problem there is, I can not see the reusable web items and the ICP template is not being displayed properly.
I tried searching for the sap_bw_pattern_objects role and was not able to find it.
Any inputs?

Please try to open any Reusable Web Item (RWI) in WAD directly (in the Reusable Web Item pane). Do you see any there?
Have you activated all RWIs that are delivered by SAP in your backend?

EBS upgrade from 11i to R12 using Maintenance Wizard question

I have installed Maintenance Wizard in development envrionment. I picked module to upgrade 11i to R12. When I am defining the node it not only picked up 11i nodes but required me to configure R12 nodes. So Do I have to to create upgrade file system(for R12) and then configured R12 nodes in Define nodes? My configuration is in In configuration at this time as I did not configured R12 nodes.
Please help me resolve this issue.

My question is which database oracle_home we have to consider to upgrade R12? and What about another one oracle_home?
When you run Rapid Install, provide the details of the already upgraded/installed 11.2.0.3 ORACLE_HOME.
For 11gR1 ORACLE_HOME which is installed by Rapid Install, please see (How to upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite from 11i to 12.1.1 and keep the existing 10g Database? (Doc ID 1345020.1)).

BI Pattern Wizard not working

Hi, when I try to create a template in WAD using the ICP Pattern I get errors in the template.
RSWADMDERR1 169 Item not recognized; check spelling or metadata in system
RSWADMDERR1 064 Parameter not recognized; Check your metadata.
These errors are presented in a dialog box. Selecting OK brings me to the detail error messages which shows:
E001    Parameter of Object data_provider:QUERY_VIEW_DATA_PROVIDER:DP_1 unknown to system
E165    Itemtype of Object item::DATA_DISPLAY not known
E110    Parameter INITIAL_STATE of Object data_provider:QUERY_VIEW_DATA_PROVIDER:DP_1 cannot be parent of
E115    Item item::DATA_DISPLAY of type cannot be parent of VISIBILITY
E115    Item item::DATA_DISPLAY of type cannot be parent of DATA_PROVIDER_REF
E180    Illegal Parameter value of Paramter INITIAL_STATE of Object data_provider:QUERY_VIEW_DATA_PROVIDER:DP_1
The funny thing is that the wizard didn't even ask for a data provider. has anyone got experience with this wizard in BI 7.0 that might be able to help?

Just had to input an infoprovider in the appropriate place in the wizard. It's not intuitive. The place to input an infoprovider looks like part of the accompanying graphic.

Pattern fill question

Hi i'm a student and learning how to work with with photoshop, indesign and illustrator. I've only been practesing for a month and a half now but we al had to start somewhere
Now my question is: i've been trying to get a pattern fill in illustrator with simple circle shapes. This, i can do. But then i want to put the pattern in an object without it cutting the edge of the object so i don't get any circles cut in half.
So that is looks like the shape is made from these tiny shapes.

The example is probably not a pattern fill. Notice how the circles align with the border of the shapes. This would not be possible using a pattern fill. It MAY be possible using the "Symbol Sprayer" tool or "Scatter Brush". You might want to study these features.

Reports 9i and Graphics Wizard questions - Upgrade from 6i

I am trying to convert my 6i reports to 9i and I have a lot of questions. First, it is my understanding that if we want the reports in the 9i format I will have to recreate all of my graphs. Is this right? Second, when I run the graphics wizard with a report that has multiple queries, it is not retreiving from the query selected in the wizard. Also, with the new graphics wizard can you reuse graphs? I currently have 5 reports that point to the same 2 ogd files. Will I now have to go in and build the same graph 6 times? Finally, if you could point me to some good documentation, I would appreciate it. I have around 30 reports with graphs on them, so if anyone has any suggestions that will make this easier, please let me know.

First, You can run the 6i reports with OGD in reports 9i, provided you have your Oracle 6i home is in system path
and the regsitry variable ORACLE_GRAPHICS6I_HOME is set to pint your 6i oracle home
Now, if you wan to open these 6i report with OGD and modify the report in 9i builder, then the OGDs are loast when saving this reports from 9i
buikder, so you would need to recreate the graphs using the graph wizard

Dunning wizard question

Client is running SAP B1 2007 PL 41.
Step 3/6 in Dunning Wizard: Business Partners - Selection Criteria
Issue - no business partners are able to be added to table that displays BP Code and BP Name. Using the standard 30/60/90 dunning terms and customers should be showing up in this table judging by the customer receivables aging report where there are many customer entries in the 31-60; 61-90; 91-120 categories.
When trying to add customers to this table in the dunning wizard, I simply click the 'Add' button and then 'OK' in order to potentially select all the customers - but none show up.
Anyone have any ideas? Each customer does have a unique credit limit...

Is this client recently upgrade to PL41?
If it works before upgrade, you have to check all their setting to ensure if the dunning terms are still working.

Route Pattern Add Question

CUCM 9.1.2
I am trying to get a better understanding of what happens when you add a Route Pattern. When you click save a warning pops up saying
"Any update to this Route Pattern automatically resets the associated gateway or route list."
This pattern is tied to a route list which is then tied to the gateway. What exactly is reset? Will this effect any current calls? How long does this reset take?

If your route patterns point to route list nothing will be affected, if you point your RP directly to GW or trunk, depending on what is connected to the GW (trunk type) calls may be interrupted. Since you should never point RPs to trunk/GW directly, this is atypically not an issue.

Import Wizard Question

Hi
We are planing to migrate from R1 to R2 and plan to use the Import Wizard for the migration.
I notice that a new ID number is assigned to the imported objects in R2. We have some custom processes in place that key off of the R1 ID and would like to keep the R1 ID within R2 if possible.
When I say "ID number" I'm referring to the number in bold (2055).

Is it possible to import the object and retain the R1 ID number?

Also to note when you migrate via import wizard your si_id will always change as you stated whether migrating versions or from different environments. If you have objects that are referencing the si_id you should change that to the cuid. For instance if you plan to set up multiple environments and migrate data with the import wizard from DEV to Prod, this will always change the si_id. Therefore if you change these types of reports to key off the cuid then this will not be an issue. I'd need to know more specifics of how you are referencing the si_id to explain in more detail.

Pattern Display Question

I'm guessing this has to do with how it is displayed under the patterns. I'm looking for a way when the user enters for example $5,000,000.00 it displays the shorthand version of $5M instead. Is this possible?? Any help on this is much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think that there is an automatic/easy way to do this. You probably could do it using script in the exit event. It would have to examine the value, convert it to a string and for each group of three "0", assign a letter.
EG if it finds three zeros, strip them out of the string and add a "K". If there are six zeros, strip them out and add an M.
The trouble is you are taking a Number (which you can do further calculations with) and making it a String (which you can't really work with afterwards).
Also I think that the script will be a bit cumbersome, in dealing with all of the possible inputs. For example, $5,125,030.15.

and I want to scan this file with these patterns:
file.txt

$ini$u$ (ivisi*&
$axi$u$ %ubstracti*&
correcting this files. Additionaly I want to "remember" which sign was corrected (for example in here we have "$ = M"). I'll need this to
swap all signs in whole file. If I'll discover that $ i a M sign then I would like to change all $ to M. This should help me to encode this file.
Any ideas?

Any ideas?I think you need to clarify the rules a bit more:
1. Is this file made up of blank-delimited words?
2. Are you only ever going to be matching words, or do you need to match any string in the file?
3. Are the words in your 'arr' array guaranteed to be unambiguous, or could you match more than one of them in the file?
4. If the answer to 3 is 'no' (ie, words could be ambiguous) is the totality of 'arr' guaranteed to be unambiguous (ie, is there only one solution that will satisfy all the words)?

Pattern Brush Question

Hello Illustrators.
Ive made an ancient alike pattern. and Im trying to achieve it going around in an elipse
but its leaving gaps in between the pattern. even if you notice in the brush pallete it make 2 duplicates of the pattern.
how can I achieve the patterns in general to be contigious without having gaps?
