BI Publisher Scheduling Problem

Hi Experts,
Our BI Publisher is currently integrated with siebel, whenever i tried generating 35k records bip report via manual generation in siebel, it completed successfully, however when i tried generating it via bip scheduling it fails. Do you have any idea why this is happening? note that if i generate less number of records bip scheduler successfully generated the report. Hope you could help me on this.
Thanks in Advance!

hope this helps
if u have meta link u can check this document (ID 1359304.1) regarding this error
and now recent is a bug .[ID 1430802.1] so it is a bug u were hitting
Symptoms
Siebel BI Publisher Scheduled Report jobs that use large data set (mostly over 10000 rows) fail with XDO error on the BI Publisher Server:

Caused by: oracle.apps.xdo.servlet.data.DataException: Requested data type does
not match with existing data type
Cause
The issue occurs when a Siebel BIP Report based on an Integration Component that has more than 20 Integration Component Fields and processing over 20000-30000 records is run as a Scheduled Job on the BI Publisher server. This behavior can be reproduced with out-of-box reports also, provided the Integration Component has more than 20 fields.
A Product Bug:13398030 has been logged to request a fix in the future release of Siebel CRM.
Solution
Workaround
The report can be run in interactive/ real-time mode rather than running as a scheduled job.
NOTE: Please implement the solution as documented in the Document 1064043.1 to be able to run large data volume reports.
For document 1064043.1 this is the link https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/ui/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?_afrLoop=560666563922074&id=1064043.1&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=j5m2csomr_120
Permanent Solution
The fix for this issue will be released in the Siebel CRM 8.1.1.9 Fix Pack.

Take a look at this thread if you haven't already: Re: Schedule problems
Based on the error message, it appears to be an issue with privileges. Make sure the user specified in the error message has the privilege to access the report.
Also I believe usernames are case sensitive, so check that out as well..

  • Production Orders: Scheduling Problem

    Hello
I have a scheduling problem.  I want the system to calculate the production order dates.
    I have maintained the following
    1.      Work Center:  A formula to calculate the duration.  I have marked the u201Crelevant to finite indicatoru201D in the Capacity Header Tab.  I have also maintained the available capacity as 24 Hrs.
    2.     Routing:  I have maintained the values for the standard value keys
    3.     SPRO:  In scheduling parameters for the order type, I have marked u201CGenerate cap requirementsu201D and u201CSchedulingu201D;  In the production scheduling profile, I have marked u201CSchedule orderu201D (on release) & u201CFinite Schedulingu201D (Availability check).
But the production order is not getting scheduled & the start & end times are the same.  I get the error u201CNo req/capacity exists or not relevant for finite schedulingu201D.
Can anyone guide me as to what I am missing?
    Best regards
    Tom

    Dear Tom,
    Please check following;
    1. Your operation contol key; whether it allows scheduling.
    2. scheduling parameters for production order on OPU3: Please select proper combination of plant and order type and tick scheduling and generate capacity requts indicators in detailed scheduling tab.
Please revert back if problem persist.

  • BI Scheduler doesn't stop Publisher scheduled jobs

    Hi guys!
We are facing the issue that we want to stop all Publisher scheduled jobs, so we went to "report job history" and marked all jobs as "cancelled". That jobs gets the status of "cancelling" but never stops. Any idea? We had restarted coreaplication server but it does not help.
Any workaround to "delete" that jobs?
Thanks for your time! Any help will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Ariel

I am also facing same issue with BI Publisher Scheduler but showing below mentioned error while creating new job.
    Error
"Job submission failed : Error occurred while scheduling the job. org.quartz.ObjectAlreadyExistsException: Unable to store Job with name: '-1' and group: 'weblogic', because one already exists with this identification."

I am doing LSMW for Sales Order using the BAPI method.
I am able to upload the item details along with their quantities also but the problem that I am now facing is the scheduling problem.I am unable to schedule the item quantities, only the last quantity passed is taken as the final quantity and the consolidated quantity is also getting ignored.
    I am using E1BPSCHDL structure, in this structure I am mapping Itm_number , req_date and req_qty(scheduled qty).....
in the structure E1BPSCHDLX, the same fields are mapped as 'X'.
in the structure E1BPSDITM, I am mapping the item info along with the consolidated qty(TARGET_QTY), but this is getting ignored and the last scheduled qty is taken as the final consolidated qty and the rest scheduled qty data is getting rejected.
Please do help... I dont know why this problem is coming... tried n number of alternatives but of no hope... do try to help me
    with regards,

Check the format of your date and check the format expected.

  • Desktop Publisher Scheduled Report Limits

    Post Author: bicknell
    CA Forum: crystalreports.com
Using the crystalreports.com desktop publisher, a customer scheduled the upload of 80+ reports to crystalreports.com on a dailybasis.  Some of the jobs were failing and others seemed like they were being run continuously.    There are two significant points to know about the desktop publisher:When the desktop publisher uploads a file to crystalreports.com, the program needs to logon to crystalreports.com using your crystalreports.com user account.  The site only allows 10 concurrent logons for the same account at any one time.  This effectively limits you to scheduling 10 documents at any one time.If you are refreshing these reports before they are uploaded, the number of concurrent refreshes will be limited by the resources of your computer.  It is a fairly expensive process in terms of memory and CPU time, especially if you have a large number of records in each report.  We've had another customer report that they could only actually refresh about 10 reports at a time before they started getting failures. This could be a combination of report size/complexity and the processing power of your computer. Note: The ODC and SFDC connector are designed to handle much bigger tasks than the desktop publisher. The desktop publisher is designed for lightweight loads not exceeding 10 connections.

    CA Forum: crystalreports.com
    Hi JD,
I'm not sure about the "unable to connect to the file" error you are seeing.  Can you post the exact wording of the error and where you are seeing it?  If you can post a screen shot of the error, that would be great.  If you change the file name of the rpt on your hard drive, the task won't be able to find it the next time it runs.  Could that be the problem?
You should be able to create a task in the desktop publisher, point it to a report and schedule it - at that time, it will prompt you for the db logon and parameter values.  Once you have supplied that info, the task will run according to whatever recurrence pattern you have set - daily, weekly, whatever.  Each time the task runs, it will try to refresh the rpt file with the db logon and parameter values you specified and upload the rpt file to crystalreports.com.
You should always be able to open the rpt file in Crystal Reports, however I have seen a problem where the rpt file gets corrupted if you run out of disk space when the report is being saved after the refresh.  The error we got from this though was that the rpt file had been corrupted.  I don't think it complained about not being an rpt file.
Yes, you should be able to use a salesforce.com db connection and you should be able to configure the desktop publisher task to run every 30 minutes.
Yes, if you do edit the rpt file  you should see the changes the next time the task runs.  We have found problems where you will get an error on uploading to cr.com using the overwrite option if the rpt file has been changed "too much".  Most often this only applies to the db connection changing too much.  If you are just editing the report layout, that should be fine.

  • BI Publisher - Scheduler Tab Disabled

    Hi all --
I am trying to schedule a report in BI publisher to see how it works. I have done the scheduler configuration using Oracle 10g's test schema "SH". When I click on the Test Connection option I get the message "Connection Established Successfully". Then I click on the Install Schema.
I have also added XMLP_SCHEDULER Role under Administrator.
I have re-started the BI Server and BI Publisher. But still the Schedule Tab is not showing up.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Kingsly

I have solved the Problem. I had to re-start the application server. However, I do have couple of other issues.
First, I do not the see the "Notification" heading where I can enter an email address.
Second, under the "Delivery" heading, I have a message No Server Available for Delivery"
    Thanks

  • Published GIF Problems!  Please help

I've created a flash animation and published it as a GIF
animation that continuously loops. After previewing my GIF there
are black blocks wherever there is TEXT. Anyone know how to fix
this? I've never encountered this problem before so I have no idea
    how to fix it...

OK I found a way around this problem... I delete all the text
that I had created within Flash and recreated it in Photoshop. I
rasterized the type in Photoshop the I saved the files as PSD. I
then went in to Flash and imported them to the library. I place the
images of the text where they had originally been in my Flash file.
When I published it as an animated GIF the file was perfect... No
    Black or White blocks...
SO you might try that... I'm not sure what Flash changed, but
I used to create text for animiated gif before without any
    problems...

  • Error message when publishing and problems opening output file

I have 5 projects linked together. When I publish one, I get a message that the files listed below are linked to the open project, and one or more of these projects may require exporting. I have tried to open these files and choose File | Export | Project to | but the options in the list (Flash 8 and Flash CS3) are both grayed out--on every one of these files. I'm publishing to Flash 9.
I didn't think much about this message until a few reviewers said they can't open the project, or when they do, they don't see my playbar on the skin.
One more thing--when an IT person was trying to help one reviewer open the output file, the IT person said "Oh, there's a problem with the code in line 25." I guess that's the html code? I'm not a programmer, but I can look at html code. What should I be seeing there in line 25?
Is their problem opening the output file(s) related to my message about possibly needing to export files? Why might they be having problems getting the output file to open?
Thanks for any insights you can provide!
    SAM

    Hi Sam
It depends on a number of things. Are you certain you uploaded all the files involved? If not, there will be problems.
The message about the linked files is quite simply advising you that you have links from that particular movie that will expect to find the files being linked to.
If a person isn't seeing playback controls and you have included them, it's likely you haven't provided the correct link for them to open and play the file. Typically you provide a link to the HTML page Captivate creates. As long as all the output files are in the same place on the server, you should be good to go.

  • XML Publisher Table problem

    Hi,
I have been trying to build a table in a BI Report that does the following my attempts so far have not work. What I would like to happen is to have a table that has 15 rows displayed even if there are not 15 line items and in the event of more than 15 line items I would then like the extra lines to rollover to the next page displaying 15 rows in the table even if the remainder of line items is not 15. The report generates output for multiple customers. Please could someone advise how I could do this?
    Thank you,

  • XML Publisher Template Problem

    Hi
This is very basic question as I am new to XML/BI Publisher
I am using templates in iRecruitment for Offers. I am facing problems when I am formatting numbers and uploading the templates.
Problem is when I see the offer letter from Application, it generates pdf with following format
120u000n00 whereas number should be 120,000.00
My number format is as follows
    $#,##0.00;
I am using Word 2007 and saving the file as rtf document. Uploading the document to R12.0.4

    What is your locale?
    <?show-page-total:TotalFieldName;'Oracle-number-format'?>
"BI Publisher supports two methods for specifying the number format:
    • Microsoft Word's Native number format mask
    • Oracle's format-number function
Note: You can also use the native XSL format-number function to
format numbers. See: Native XSL Number Formatting, page 5-126."
"To use the Oracle format mask or the Microsoft format mask, the numbers in your data source must be in a raw format, with no formatting applied (for example: 1000.00). If the number has been formatted for European countries (for example: 1.000,00) the format will not work."
Is more than one format model being applied? That will cause problems too.
