Billing experts: Combining order related and deliv. related

Hello Billing experts,
I am just wondering if it is possible at all to combine order related and delivery related to ONE billing document (one DMR and one delivery note with the same payer).
Or do we have to use Invoice List? I can't make it work.
Same payer, same Payment Terms and different pricing procedures(with RL00). What other fields that must have identical values, so the billing documents will be grouped in the invoice list?
Thanks alot in advance!
Best Regards,
Tuan Vo

Hi Tuan Vo
Since there are many other criteria, its not a viable Solution to combine, order related and delivery related to one billing document even though its possible in SAP.
The following prerequisites must be met for a Single Invoice from Delivers and/or orders:
1) the header data appearing in the billing document must agree
2) the split conditions specified do not apply
As you see, the Delivery related Invoice has always a pre-checking with the Goods Issue status where as Order related doesn't have to.
Hence Invoice lists is the option given by SAP.
However, with an intelligent Copy Control routines between the documents should do the trick.
The system combines documents with the same customer number, proposal billing type and sales organization, and attempts to include them all in the same billing document. If the preconditions are met, then a single invoice is created for the deliveries and/or orders.
Note that When creating several billing documents, user exits can be used to reset the header data, so that more can be combined than in the billing due list and later combine to single document.
There are other fields like Material Group, Billing Dates, Billing Document Type, Item categories which can force for an Invoice split.
Please let me know if it helps.

  • Combined order based and delivery based billing

    Hey Gurus,
    We are using ZTAN items and ZTAD items on the sales orders.  We are trying to figure out how to combine these two together to create one invoice.  Can you guys help us with what the configuration should be in order do this?  I woudl like to knwo what settings I need to make in item category and also what settings need to be changed in the copy controls?  Do I need to change them for F2 and other settings in VTFA?
    Please let us know.
    Sincerely,
    Nina

    Hi,
    Delete the Assignment number and Reference number in the copy control at the header level details in VTFA.
    For this message and try it .
    We are using order based billing for the ZTAD items right now and using delivery based billing for the ZTAN items. So, to answer your question, we do want to combine these two together.
    I have tried setting the VTFA copy control settings to 001, and I still can't seem to get the two line items to combine.
    Note, I only created a new copy control for the ZTAD items.
    I looked to see if the header data was different and this was the log that was outputted but I can't seem to figure out what this means:
    Fld Name $000000001 $000000002
    Combination criteria in the bi 0013030 00330308000000064
    Assignment number $
    I am not sure how to analyze this. If you have any suggestions, I would be really appreciative. Thanks for all of your help Shivaji.

  • Correctly combining an absolute and a relative URL

    Hello everyone!
    I've been messing around with combining absolute and relative URLS in java and have found the task to be a little more confusing than I originally thought. For example:
    /wallpapers/17i/Lotus_Exige_Mk_II,_2004.jpg
    http://wallpapers.diq.ru/ru/17__Peugeot_Moonster_Concept%2C_2001.html
    Firefox and other browsers see this as: http://wallpapers.diq.ru/wallpapers/17i/Lotus_Exige_Mk_II,_2004.jpg
    I don't understand why the /ru/ is taken out; and was wondering if there was already a class written in Java that combined urls, or if someone could explain to me why the end result is not http://wallpapers.diq.ru/ru/wallpapers/17i/Lotus_Exige_Mk_II,_2004.jpg
    Thanks

    The web page could have a <head> section that contains a [<base>|http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_base.asp].
    This specifies the base that will be used when resolving urls. It may not be the url of the page itself. For instance it could be that the "ru" bit collects together all the Russian langauge pages parallel to a "en" duplicate that has the same pages in English. Clearly both sets would want to access the same image resources so they have a <base> setting that points one level higher up.
    If this is the case and you want to get the url for the images you will have to parse the <head> of the web page and figure out what the <base>is.

  • Availibilty check during sales order creation and its relation to PP

    Hi all,
    A critical scenario I am stuck in. My client has 3 plants viz. 1000, 1100, 1200. Plant 1000 gets sales orders from different customers and production happens on plants 1100 and 1200 through special procurement key. Customer A and customer B are very important for plant 1000. For customer A client allocates 25 tonnes per week and for customer B, 15tonnes/ week. The amount agreed can be changed at any time with the customer.  The purpose of this allocation is to reserve capacity for these customers in order to provide short lead time.
    Capacity of plant 1100 is 200 tonnes per week( I am not sure where to define). If for last 3 weeks, capacity booked in plant 1100 is 190 tonnes including 15 tonnes of Customer A and 15 tonnes of Customer B , then plant 1100 can take orders for 10 tonnes more.When a person creates a sales order in plant 1000, it should show that plant 1100 has capacity available only for customer A and for other customers it should show later date for delivery.client wants to set a forecast demand of 25 tons/week for customer A and 15 tons/week for Customer B. As client receive specific orders from customer A or B, this should reduce the forecast tonnage accordingly.
    How to map this?? kindly guide.
    Regards.

    ME,
    The question is a bit vague, so I will give a correspondingly vague answer.
    First, let me say that there is no ATP in ERP that directly confirms sales orders based on capacity availability.  However, you may not need this.
    production happens on plants 1100 and 1200 through special procurement key
    SPK only points to one plant.  So, for a given material or a given BOM, the source is one plant.  MRP will always plan for one source, regardless of preexisting capacity consumption.
    The purpose of this allocation is to reserve capacity for these customers in order to provide short lead time.
    You have left off the more important concept:  What happens to the remaining capacity?  This is what you need to limit.
    So, lets look at the parts where the SPK points to 1100 as a source.  You need to ensure that A gets 25 MAX, B gets 15 MAX, and 'everyone else' gets 160 MAX (200 - 25 - 15).  This can be achieved using product allocation.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/93/744d05546011d1a7020000e829fd11/frameset.htm
    In the case where 'Everyone else' gets an unfavorable lead time (or an unconfirmable order) you can manually shift the production for those orders to plant 1200, provided capacity is available.
    client wants to set a forecast demand of 25 tons/week for customer A and 15 tons/week for Customer B. As client receive specific orders from customer A or B, this should reduce the forecast tonnage accordingly.
    Forecasting is OK, but a separate topic.  He can forecast and build any way he wants, and the forecast will be consumed according to whatever strategy he has selected.  However, it won't be relevant to ATP.  The only ATPs that use forecasting are against Planned independent requirements, which are not customer specific.

  • A few problems both programming related and IDE related

    Hi, Folks
    I don't post often but I've got some things going on that I've spent more time trying to figure out and straighten out than it would have taken me to write a desktop app.
    My first issues are with VWD 2013 Express. It's constantly throwing exceptions, crashing and losing my images. The only constant is that when firing it up I get an exception(or two) complaining about CSSStyles, etc. According to the logs, nothing untoward
    has happened. The logs report success on everything. In addition, it will throw exceptions with me simply sitting there and not attempting any operations. On top of that, I can be looking at the source code for my Master Page and switch to Design View and
    it's lost all the images. Closing out and restarting restores them but it's only a matter of time before it happens again. I've tried repair on it as well as uninstalling and reinstalling it to no avail. If I revert to 2012 none of this happens - at least
    that I've seen so far.
    In addition, there is something very off the wall happening. I have a side menu and a bottom menu controlled by separate XML files. The code follows:
    The XML sitemap files look like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    <siteMap xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/AspNet/SiteMap-File-1.0" >
        <siteMapNode url="" title=""  description="">
            <siteMapNode url="~/About.aspx" title="About"  description=""/>
            <siteMapNode url="~/Contact.aspx" title="Contact"  description=""/>
        </siteMapNode>
    </siteMap>
    That one is for my bottom menu.
    The side menu site map file looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    <siteMap xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/AspNet/SiteMap-File-1.0" >
        <siteMapNode url="" title=""  description="">

            <siteMapNode url="~/FOREX/Demo Apps/ForexDemoApps.aspx" title="Demo Apps" description=""/>
          </siteMapNode>
          </siteMapNode>
    </siteMap>
    On an active page the menus behave and look as they should. The relevant section of the Web.config file looks like this
     <siteMap defaultProvider="SideMenuSiteMapProvider">
          <providers>
            <add name="SideMenuSiteMapProvider"  type="System.Web.XmlSiteMapProvider" siteMapFile="~/web.sitemap" />

          </providers>
        </siteMap>
    and the Master Page aspx code looks like this:
    <div id="NavColumn">
                    <div class="Liner">
                        <div class="ItemCenter">

    It all looks like it should be good to go, yeah? Wrong. In the IDE the side menu looks right but the bottom menu displays the side menu items. This happens in both 2012 and 2013. If I run the site, everything shows up where it should and works as it should
    - with one very major problem. I have a Contact Us page that accepts a user's info and sends an email to my site email. If the send succeeds, I throw up an alert from the server side informing the user that the email has been successfully sent. The problem
    is that it seems to start a postback - which I can't see why throwing the alert up would trigger - and appears to get "stuck" halfway through and completely screws up the display. The side menu has slide out menus that are rendering laid over top
    of one another and the "main" menu - which absolutely looks like crap - it's displaying all of them at once, which makes no sense. If I hit OK on the alert it appears to finish the "postback" and things are displayed the way they should
    be.
    If you would like to see what I'm talking about as far as the site behavior goes, check out http://www.whitewolfcustomsoftware.com, navigate to the Contact Us page and send an email message and you will see the behavior I'm talking about. I've been fighting
    with this for a week and a half and finally decided it was time to run for some help. If anyone has any insights or suggestions I would be most appreciative. If you visit my site, you'll see that this is a serious business site. I have to get this figured
    out and working correctly.
    I will be most appreciative if anyone can steer me in the right direction. If I can't get this straightened out I'm going to make myself look like a fool by advertising myself as a custom developer.

    How is this related to Application Insights (AI)?
    I didn't know exactly where to put this. None of the categorical choices seemed to fit. I expected that if this is wrong place for this someone would suggest the proper category - not get smart with me. As developers we should be here helping each other.
    I've reposted this elsewhere . I would have simply moved it but I don't see a way to do that nor to simply delete the thread.
    Sergei, you'll have to admit that the categorizations and sub-categorizations are a bit convoluted and don't always seem to reflect the spirit of the post you're attempting to make. Let's not get into a battle with each other here. I see no point to it.

  • Mismatching between Order quantity and Delivered quantity

    Dear All,
    SO is created with quantity 20, in MMBE stock is enough (22) but while doing delivery only 12 quntity is being confirmed. Cant able to delivered 20 quantity against this material, plant n sloc. I've checked in MD04 against the SO, it is fine with my order Q (20).  In schedule line, order Q is 20 but confirm Q is 12 shown.
    Please do let me know what is the issue of this mismatching.
    Thanks,
    Swapnil

    Hi Swapneal,
    If stock is enough in MMBE then also check, the stock is in unrestricted stock or not?
    If it is ok then go to order VA02 --> Double click at your item --> Go to schedule lines tab page --> click at Edit (Menu) --> Click at "Item availabilty"
    See the system is not confirm full quantity or not?
    If not then put your order in V_RA and see the status.
    Hope it helps,

  • Mismatch between ordered item and delivered item

    Hi,
    I am here as i got horrible experience with HP.
    I orderd a desktop march 20th which was delivered may 6th.... far beyond the announced 14days.
    When i received the box, i was not allowed to open the box to check the items. Once delivery team gone, i open the box, switched on the desktop and it was fine until i realized that 2 video ports were missing, including the VGA. Only the HDMI was present.
    Fortunately i got a pdf print of the specifications, but the support despite of pictures and the pdf denies that two video ports were supposed to be delivered. It is implied i am lying to HP as the CURRENT description of the desktop mentions only one video port. who to believe? obviously not the customer.

  • Difference between delivery related and order related billing

    Hello Friends,
    Kindly explain the difference between delivery related and order related billing with an example. Thanks

    The billing relevance is controlled by item category of material, which u have assigned to sales document type.
    For example
    1.item category –TAN
    Billing relevance is –A- Standard-Delivery-related billing document
    So in standard order of material which has to get delivered, we will bill it on its delivery. So billing relevance is delivery related billing.
    2.BVN
    In cash sales item category is BVN whose billing relevance is Relevant for order-related billing - status acc.to order qty.
    So here we will bill the customer from sales order only, no need to go to delivery.
    DON’T FORGT TO REWARD POINTS IF THIS ANSWER SATISFIES YOU.

  • Order related item and delivery related item in one billing document

    Hi Experts,
    how can we include order related item and delivery related item in one billing document .
    Please give me the configuration logic .

    Hello,
    1)Reference Document Number VBRK-XBLNR.
    In transaction VTFA and VTFL at header level setup the field 'Reference number' so that it is the same (example 'E')
    2) Payment Reference VBRK-KIDNO
    It should be a consequence of the split, and not a cause. So you can ignore it
    3) Billing date for billing index VBRK-FKDAT
    In sales order and delivery you should set the same billing date. Alternatively, the the first screen of VF01 please set a Defailt billing date
    4) Customer purchase order number VBRK-BSTNK_VF
    It is necessary that sales order to be billed and sales order referenced to delivery to be billed have the same purchase order number. There is not other way.
    5) Assignment number VBRK-ZUONR
    In transaction VTFA and VTFL at header level setup the field 'Assignment number' so that it is the same (example 'E')
    6) Translation Date
    Same solution of point 3.
    Best regards,
    Ivano.

  • Third party process:Billing relevance 'B' order related and 122

    I am facing the following problem: in Order related Billing according to order qty, the sales order bills what has been received on the third party PO in MM.
    The following situation occurs: When I order 100, receive 100 and Bill 100: The sales order is fully billed. When I later return a quantity to the vendor in MM with a 122 referring to the PO, the sales order remains fully billed. There is no way I can find out which Sales order needs to be take action on (credit). Can someone help me finding out how I can select these sales orers after a 122?

    Ok, no problem.
    At the client we have a very specific flow where receipts on a third party PO need to be billed daily when they happen and every receipt (better: any goods movement) needs a seperate billing document.
    This is not covered in SAP standard. I wrote a program (functional) how SAP should find the billing relevant movements:
    1) Go to the billing due list daily at 0:00
    2) Check all related third party PO's and the movements
    3) Check the sales flow of the relevant SO. Check which material doc has been billed (via reference field in the billing doc)
    4) For all items not yet billed call function module GN_INVOICE_CREATE. (bill in case of 101 and 123 and credit in case of 102 and 122)
    This works all fine until I found above issue: Fully billed items are removed from the billing due list even if there is a 122 or 102 afterwards on the PO. So I redesigned the program.
    1) at 0:00 Select all movements on the system date for the specific flow (PO type and plant) via Material documet header and segment.
    2) Via the account assignment in the material doc you have the Sales order. Then the same applies:
    3) Check the sales flow of the relevant SO. Check which material doc has been billed (via reference field in the billing doc)
    4) For all items not yet billed call function module GN_INVOICE_CREATE. (bill in case of 101 and 123 and credit in case of 102 and 122)
    Here I am not using the due list and it solved my problem.

  • Order-related billing and Dlv-related Billing in single Invoice

    Say in a single order or order type say OR there can be two materials with different item categories say TAN and ZTAN.
    TAN with billing relevance as A( delivery related billing) and ZTAN with billing relevance as B (order related billing )
    If that happens the billing will be split
    In VOV8 we mention for OR the order related billing as F1 and delivery related billing as F2 in the billing tab
    Now in billing TAN will pick F2 as it is delivery related billing
    and
    ZTAN will pick F1 as it is order related billing.
    Now my question:
    In VOV8, i maintained OR order type for Order-realted Billing as F2 and Delivery-related Billing as F2 as well.
    Then will there still be an billing split ?   There will be two F2 invoices TAN will pick one F2 invoice and ZTAN will pick another F2 invoice...?
    And i want to know whether this an right way of doing things??   IF not, what is the right way of doing things?
    Thank you very much.

    Hello,
    Yes that is the right way.
    You can create Single Invoice for Order Related Items & Delivery Related Items.
    E.g. You are Selling Air Conditioner & also installing the same at Customer Location. Now you will Invoice the Customer for Air Conditioner & Installation in the same Billing Correct? Now Air Conditioner is Delivery Related Billing & Installation is Order Related Billing.
    It is in such scenario Order Releted & Delivery Related Items can be Invoiced in same Billing Document.
    While create Invoice enter the Delivery Number & the Sales Order Number, select both the LIne Items & Execute... You will see the system will pick items from both Order & Delivery.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • Whast is order related billing and delivery related billing?

    Explain about order related billing and delivery related billing
    thanks

    hi,
    just to add,
    In Customizing for the item category at VOV7, you can determine the basis for billing using the indicator <b>Billing relevance</b>.
    This allows you to carry out the following controls:
    A: Relevant for delivery-related billing documents
    Outbound delivery is the basis for billing. The billing document status is only updated in the outbound delivery.
    B: Relevant for order-related billing documents
    The sales document is the basis for billing. The billing status is defined by the required quantity.
    In the standard system the item categories REN (returns) and BVN (cash sales) are set up in this way.
    So depending upon the billing documents configured to the sales document for order and delivery related billing, would be triggered based on the item category setting for billing relevance.
    Pl reward if it helps.
    Thanks
