Billing of pre-selected orders in a specific sequence

Hi,
  my customer uses manual data entry of sales orders with data he gets from a bunch of papers thus generating a lot of sales orders each day. When the time comes to bill these orders - one bill per order - of different content (customers, billing dates etc.), he selects them using a client specific report - depending on application oriented criteria - and wants them afterwards be billed in a background job / without any further user interaction in the sequence of the order numbers.
The reason for it is, that he has to check the printed bills with the bunch of paper he used for data entry of the sales orders and he has to add some of these papers to the bills to be sent out via mail afterwards.
So the sequence of both has to be the same for obvious reasons. The sequence of the bunch of papers is reflected in the sales order numbers, the sequence of the bills in the bill numbers. Bill numbers are generated internally thus depending on the sequence in which the sales orders were billed.
I tried VF06 giving it sales order numbers to be billed in the proper sequence. But it seems that VF06 sorts these orders first by bill date and/or customers thus destroying the order of sales orders.
Additionally I tried a couple of VF06 runs, one per sales order. But these runs are computed in parallel thus again destroying my preselected sequence. If I could change the job attributes of such a sequence ob VF06 jobs - one depending on the finishing of the prevoius one, this would solve the problem. But unfortunately the jobs are already "planned" so that I can't add a dependency between them after creation via VF06.
Does anyone has a good idea? Additions to my suggestions above? Or fresh and new ideas?
Thank you very much in advance.
GeraldS

Hello Gerald,
sounds like a quite curios process.
The standard transactions (VF04/VF06) are more or less written to deal with mass processing, so i don't think you could influence them the way you need.
If you need the invoices in the order of the ordernumbers, the only way is to book them one by one using VF01.
You could use a background job if you write a little own program performing these steps:
- selecting order-Number to be billed,
- sorting them
- calling vf01 for each order via call transaction
  ( with Update option 'S') .
Make sure that this program can only run  once in the system ( using an lock object).
As a small solution that could work.
A bigger (and better) solution would be scanning this 'bunch of paper', connecting the documents to the orders inside SAP.

  • Del related and order related billing on the same order - timing problem

    Hi,
    In our repair process we need to bill out the loaner part (we put the money on the loaner line that gets shipped and create a delivery related billing document)  as well as repaired material when that comes in, goes through the repair and gets shipped back to the customer. In billing the repair itself the money goes onto a special order related line (repQuo  check box on the main repair line in the sales order entry).
    The problem is that the billing due list shows the order related line due for billing after it is created. We are not supposed to bill the line until the repair is completed. The invoice actually never gets created, the log is output with the error stating that it cannot invoice before the repair is completed, but it still shows in VF04. If I put the order on bill block and filter out blocked orders in VF04, then I can't bill the delivery related loaner parts.
    Any suggestions how to make VF04 not show the order related line until the repair is completed?
    Thank you,
    Sergiy

    Check Billing Relevance of your I Cats(VOV7) and maintain them as per your requirement.
    As that indicates what the basis for billing should be.
    A: Delivery-related billing document - Billing is based on the outbound delivery. Billing status is only updated in the outbound delivery.
    B: Relevant for order-related billing - status according to order quantity - Billing is based on the sales document. The requested delivery quantity determines the billing status.
    C: Relevant for order-related billing - status according to target quantity - Billing is based on the sales document. The target quantity determines the billing status.
    F: Order-related billing doc - status according to invoice quantity - Relevant for order-related billing documents based on the invoice receipt quantity (third-party business transaction). The system transfers the order into the billing due list only after the vendor invoice has been received and processed in the purchasing department. After the receipt of each invoice, a  customer invoice is created for the quantity that appears on the vendor invoice. The order has status "Billed" until the next vendor invoice is received. Item category TAS (Third party item) is set up with billing relevance "F" in the standard system. This process can also be related to the quantity of goods receipt. You can make the control setting as to whether the invoice receipt quantity or the goods receipt quantity should be relevant for billing in the copy control for billing on the item level in the billing quantity field. (In Customizing, choose Sales and Distribution -> Billing -> Billing documents -> Maintain Copying Control for Billing Documents -> Copying Control: Delivery to Billing Document -> Item, then select an item category.)
    G: Order-related billing of the delivery quantity  - The order is relevant for billing. More specifically, the cumulative delivery quantity that was already delivered is relevant for billing. You can use this category to bill for multiple partial deliveries at once.
    H: Delivery-related billing - no zero quantities - You can use this category to avoid items with a value of zero being included in the billing document.
    K: Delivery-related invoices for partial quantity - You can use this indicator if you want to select both items and partial quantities for billing.
    Hope this can assist you in understanding.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Create Return Order copy from Billing created from DBM Order Processing

    Hi SAP Gurus
    I have scenario where the user requested to create return order based on Billing created from DBM Order Processing.
    I know that, we can create return order from DBM. but the function copy based on order. the user is requested to do return
    by billing document ( function as SD )
    is this requirement can be done in SD VA01 where the user can copy the billing created from DBM and create return order using SD function

    Hi,
    in DBM you regulary have mulitiple invoices per order (due to split).
    You either can cancel an certain invoice and adapt the order or create a returns order based on an given order where you can select certain (e.g. invoiced) items.

  • How can I control the Product Category in the Pre-select screen

    Dear ,my expert :
       I  work in ROS scenario . In my case ,the supplier can select Product Category A, Product Category B,and Product Category C when they  filled the data in the  registration scren . And the purchaser A just is responsibility for the Product Category A ,and the purchaser B ,C are the same situation .
      So ,my question is :
       1,How can I control the Product Category in the Pre-select screen? I mean that the Purchaser A can just select the   Product Category A in the Pre-select screen .
       2,You know the supplier select two category  is one BP in the system ,So if the purchaser A accepe the supplier ,the purchaser B will find the status is "accepted ",So the purchaser B will be confused about it .
       SO ,in my case ,any one has the suggestions ,any link welcome .
       Bestregards
      alex

    Hi Alex,
    As per standard SRM solution, this is not supported. Purchasers who accept new suppliers, accept them on the whole and not for any specific product category. There is no such thing as Purchaser being responsible for specific prod category in ROS.
    What you could do however is to build a custom workflow to achieve it. You could have category approvers after the purchaser has accepted the supplier. Based on the category provided by the supplier in the reg form, you could route these suppliers to appropriate category approvers.

  • Archiving purchase orders of a specific order-type

    hello,
    does anyone have a simple-doc or plan for archiving purchase orders. archiving for dummy's as I have never done this?
    points to be taken into consideration:
    - order of a specific type (ZRL0)
    - order must be older then 10 days
    thanks,

    Hi,
    In order to archive PO's , there are a number of considerations that must be taken into account.
    The archiving program SARA -> MM_EKKO , Write , does a large number of checks before archiving can be done.
    The first step is to go to SARA -> MM_EKKO , customizing. In here , you can specifiy what kind of documents you want to archive and specify the retention period (document life) for each type of document.
    For example :
    Go to C MM-PUR : Reorganization PO
    You will find several type of PO Doc types
    DB     Dummy purchase order           Standard
    NB     Standard PO           Standard
    NB     Standard PO     K     Consignment
    NB     Standard PO     L     Subcontracting
    NB     Standard PO     S     Third-party
    NB     Standard PO     D     Service
    UB     Stock transport ord.     U     Stock transfer
    Suppose you want to archive Standard PO's  , go into the customizing option and then set the residence time 1 and residence time 2.
    Res time 1 is the number of days which must elapse after which a deletion indicator can be set for the document. The elapsed days are calculated from the last change date of the document record in EKKO table.
    Res time 2 is the number of days which must elapse after which a document with a deletion indicator can be actually deleted out of the EKKO table.
    Once the customizing is finished , then you should run the SARA Preprocessing job (which sets the deletion indicators for the selected set of documents) , then the write job (which will write the DLT status documents to an archive file) and then the delete step (which will remove documents from the EKKO and other related Purchasing tables. TO get a trailer of what gets archived and deleted , run the archive write job in "Test" Mode , rather than "Production" mode.
    Hope this helps.

  • Get Billing Status of Sales Order

    Is there any FM that will return the Billing status for a Sales Order directly without having to go through the Delivery or document flow? I just want to know if the sales order has been completely invoiced.
    VBUK has the Billing status info only for the Delivery.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi Pallavi,
    You can select from database view WB2_V_VBRK_VBRP2 (join on VBRK and VBRP), and mention the selection criteria as: sales order number equals AUBEL_I and sales order items equal AUPOS_I, FKSTO equals space (this indicates the billling document hasn't been cancelled) and SFAKN equals space (this indicates the billing document is not a cancellation of another invoice).
    If in the result of above select query has billing doc items corresponding to every sales order item, this means every sales order item has been billed, hence the sales order has been billed completely.

  • Pre-selection of rows in 'MULTISELECT'  tableView / DefaultTableViewModel

    Hi all,
    Wondering if anyone has done this before and can help me.
    I have a tableView using the 'MULTISELECT' selectionMode which neatly renders checkboxes against each row allowing them to be selected and deselected; which is fine.
    I need to pre-select some rows before the JSP is rendered. Is there anything I can do in the model that will influence the required rows as being selected ?
    Cheers
    Phil

    Thanks for replying. Yes your right this would select specific rows of a tableView; but only once the tableView has been rendered.
    I need to have some rows checked before the JSP is rendered, so the first thing the user sees when the iView loads is a table with a couple of rows already selected.
    Can't believe this is so hard. Was hoping for a 'column.setRowSelected' method or something I could call while created the model.
    Now looking down the TableViewCellRenderer avenue. So forget the MULTISELECT on the tableview, and hopefully just create a column of checkboxes which I have control over.

  • Transaction to maintina Billing Plan for Sales order item

    Hi All,
    Is there any transaction other than VA01/VA02 to maintian Billing plan for Sales order item.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rajanidhi Rajasekeran.

    It is possible to maintain Billing Plan in Sales Document Type (VOV8), as well as Item Category level (VOV7). As you want it at Item level, maintain the same in Item Category Configuration at Item level & it will by default be captured in Sales Order at Item level.
    Step 1: Sales Document Type
    IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales > Sales Documents >
    Sales Document Header:
    1. Sales Document Type:The sales document types represent the different business transactions, such as Inquiry, Quotation, Sales Order, etc. To create new sales order type, always copy as with reference to similar sales order. If possible use standard sales order.
    2. Define Number Ranges For Sales Documents: Maintain number range with discussion with core team.
    3. Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types:
    A. Combine sales organizations / Combine distribution channels / Combine divisions: Ensure to maintain these, else Sales Order creation will give error.
    B. Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas: Assign only required Sales Order Types to required Sales Area. This will minimize selection of Sales Order Type as per sales area.
    Sales Document Item:
    1. Define Item Categories: If possible use Standard Item Category. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Item Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving item category: Sales Document Type + Item Category Group + Usage + Higher Level Item Category = Item Category

  • How to pre-select in netui:select

    I am new to workshop. I need to use netui:select for a list box with multiple selection. I want to pre-select the listbox with several entries. I am wondering how to do this?

    Cindy,
    You can set multiple default values on a select tag by binding the
    defaultValue attribute to a String[] or anything else (collection, etc)
    that can be turned into an Iterator.
    For example, here is how I modified Workshop's Sample Application
    (specifically the "select multiple" example)
    <netui:form action="submit">
    <netui:select multiple="true" dataSource="{actionForm.selections}"
    size="5" defaultValue="{pageInput.defaultValues}">
    <netui:selectOption value="red" />
    <netui:selectOption value="blue" />
    <netui:selectOption value="green" />
    <netui:selectOption value="yellow" />
    <netui:selectOption value="orange" />
    </netui:select>
    <netui:button type="submit" value="Submit"/>
    </netui:form>
    here is the code from the controller showing the page flow variable
    defaultValues being passed to the page as a page input in fhe Forward
    contstructor.
    private String[] defaultValues = {"green", "yellow"};
    * @jpf:action
    * @jpf:forward name="success" path="index.jsp"
    protected Forward begin()
    return new Forward("success", "defaultValues", defaultValues);

  • How to set a default pre-select for radio buttons?

    Hi
    I have some text form fields that I've set up to display some paired variables stored in a .txt file.  When the swf loads, the form fields are populated with the text.
    I've also set it up so that if you change the text and hit a submit button, the .txt file gets updated.
    I'm now tryng to set it up so that I can store radio button selections in the .txt file too.
    I've started doing it a certain way, but am wondering if there is a more straightforward way of doing ?
    Here's what I've done...
    I've set up the butttons to spit out "on" or "off" depending on the selection, and apply that to the variable that gets stored.
    Now, in the same way I loaded the variables into the text form fields when the swf is refreshed, I want to load the on/off variable, and then somehow apply it to the radio buttons so that one of them is pre-selected.
    So my questions are a) how do I take that loaded variable, and use an if statement to make it pre-select the button, and b) is there a simpler way to pre-select a button based on an external variable?
    Thanks
    Shaun

    Nevermind guys - I did it using the 'rb_on.selected' command on the "on" radio button if the .txt file variable was "on", else the "off" radio button is selected.
    Thanks for taking a look though!

  • How to Pre-Select a View for ALV dashboard at runtime

    Hello Experts,
    The requirement is to pre-select 1 view initially (out of several configured) for 'All' users and disable the 'View-selection' dropdown function in a standard ALV dashboard. So whenever the dashboard loads, a particular view has to be set automatically for all users.
    I need your help for the first part, which is to always pre-set a 'View' in a standard dashboard.
    I tried to implement the suggestion provided in the following thread:
    How to apply ALV view at runtime
    However I couldn't make this work in my case. I created a Post-Exit of a method in Comp Ctlr of dashboard (Initialize method) - where I receive the refrence 'IWCI_SALV_WD_TABLE'. Then calling the method 'GET_CONFIG_DATA' with action 'if_salv_wd_table=>set', I try to set the view, but it has no effect.

  • Billing date in sales order should not be modifiable to backwards dates

    hi gurus
    I have a requirement where in few users while creating a sales order , they should not be able to modify the billing dates to previous dates . So that particular field shd not be modifiable . Could use some help here .
    Regards
    JNM

    Dear JaganNM,
    While creating the billing document in VF01 the billing date will be changed manually by the user.
    This change will not applicable in sales order.
    Once you save the billing document you can't change the billing date in sales order ,it will be graded out.
    Before saving the billing document only the date can be changed in sales order.
    Let me know if you have any further clarifications.
