Billing Statements with Crystal

We have several amortization schedules in excel. Is it possible to use crystal reports to automate reports based on a payment due each month stored in excel. Every payment is different. Sales support say if programmed correctly, it can be automated each month without having to create a new report each time for a new payment. Any guidance on how this might be accomplished as I don't see how in the demo.
The goal is to create a billing statement each month with minimizing the time to create it.

Vish, if you have CRXI, look at the samples, some of these are pretty good. You could set up the report, and have a parameter, the parameter, could prompt for the Excel (date) and run the report based on that. Without a little more detail, I can not provide much of a solution.

Crystal Reports - Customer Statements with Ageing
Hi,
I have created a custom accounts receivable statement in Crystal reports 2011.
However, I am currently facing some challenges:
1. How can I put a specific date so that the statement will show data upto that date e.g. today is 22/05/2014, but I want to run a statement as 30/04/2014 - how do i achieve this?
2. How can I insert formulas into crystal report that will allow me to calculate the ageing on the above as at date?

"Table Not Found" Error is coming.Later I Found that In stored procedure for certain conditions only this error comes.But I cant resolve it.

I click on a link to download last months billing statement for say my phone provider. A new web page opens that is blank. The pdf file that is supposed to download and open up in Adobe or other PDF reader does not show up or open up.

Problems deploying VS 2005 Web Site with Crystal Reports
If it's not one assembly reported missing, it's another. Runs fine on my local machine, but can't deploy to a test environment on my company's server. How can I force crystal to install everything on the server that is needed so that my clients (end users) can run this report?
We are not running Crystal RAS.
When I set up my msi, I made sure to set it to take assemblies from my local machine. Yet, my local machine does not seem to contain all of the assemblies that it needs. They're not showing up in the bin anyway.
I am using non-embedded report files (as you can see from my code below) so that I can change reports on the fly, if necessary without recompiling the entire app.
I am using the ReportDocument object.

BobOkay. So I installed the correct MSMs, opened the deployment document that came with it entitled, "Crystal Reports for .net Framework 2.0 - Deployment using Merge Modules" and got to page 4. At the bottom of page 4. It had me create a new Web Setup Project. The MSMs are included in the project, as they should be.
On page 4, #7, it says "Build the project."
#8 says Run your development setup.
There are 3 panes on my VS interface (4 including the Solution Explorer). To me, they look like they need the information regarding what Web Site this is to deploy.
I don't see any instructions on how to do this. I just blew away my old MSIs that I created because the previous document said not to use them.
So, how do I add my Web Site to these panes?

I am trying to prepare a simple marketing document, such as a sales order, with Crystal Reports Basic 2008.

Being able to choose the document number of a particular sales order when I open Crystal Reports from SBO.

You can execute procedure in query manager but you have to enter parameter manually..

SAP 8.8 - statement in crystal report

We have imported layout and reports available in SAP 8.8 Information Center, however, Customer statement (in Crystal version) does not seem to be part of it.

I am aware that the Crystal report layout available for download. Unfortunately Customer statement is not one of them.
Yes, it is good that Crystal report is provided as a report writing tools. However, we need to look beyond that.
Customer Statement is expected as standard report in all accounting packages and is a document that needs to be sent to third party, ie the customers.
Therefore, the presentatipon of it is important and also the information required is often more than what the existing one has.
The problem is, the data on the existing customer statement are populated by the program and what we can see is just field type "text".
The following screnarios are not taken care of.
Example:
1. It is normal that there are part payment invoice.
The normal request is showing original invoices amount, applied details (ie the receipts/credit notes applied against it) and also the outstanding balance.
2. Posting Date and Document Date are not the same.
SAP B1 allows posting date and document date to be different, but the Document Date fields is not avaialble in PLD.
3. No transactions available for the period.
Customer has no transaction in 1 March 2009 - 30 Apr 2009, however, there are opening balance prior to March 2009.
It is normal expectation that when you run the customer statement for 1 March 2009 to 30 March 2009, it will still produce a statement, with the prior balance row populated.
However, it just does not print the statement at all.
So, Customer has not choice but to keep posting date from blank.
These are just some of the problems.
I would hope SAP could look into this standard report, to add to the list, Stock Aging and Bank Reconciliation report should also be looked into.

Problem with Crystal report viewer
I am using Crystal viewer 2008 with Crystal report 2008.
I am using a static parameter. When running with viewer I can not clik on modify to change the parameter because the modify button is grey.
Help ty.
Also where can I read limit of using Crystal Viewer ?
And how much to get something better ?You can update the parameters using Crystal Viewer 2008. I had the same problem with the "CHANGE" button being grayed out.
Go to your Report -> Select Expert -> and now you have three choices: Record, Group, Saved Data. Put your select statement using your parameters in the Saved Data only (remove it from Record if already there).
It works awesome and even works on dynamic parameters! -

Customer Statement with opening and closing balances
Dear Forum,
The users want to generate the Customer Statement with opening and closing balances like the traditional one. The statement now generated gives the list of all open items as on date, but the users want the statement with opening balances as on the date of the begining of the range specified and the closing balance at the end of the period for which the statement is generated. Is there a way to generate the same from the system.

You can use the program RFKORD10 with correspondance type SAP06 for your company code
This program prints account statements and open items lists for customers and vendors in letter form. For account statements, all postings between two key dates, as well as the opening and closing balance, are listed.

Error while replacing IF statements with DECODE function in procedure

I have created a procedure which has nested IF statements. Now I want to replace the IF statements with DECODE functions to improve performance.
Procedure:

Can someone help me in converting the IF to DECODE in the above case. Also how can we use a select statement inside decode.instead of trying to rewrite all your code and hoping that the performance will be better, it's a better option to investigate and find out which part of your application is slow
