BIP Scheduler Configutartion

Hi all,
When i check scheduler configuration in BIP i am getting an error like could not establish connection .
In scheduler diagnostics status Database Connection failed: weblogic.jdbc.extensions.PoolDisabledSQLException: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceDisabledException: Pool bip_datasource is Suspended, cannot allocate resources to applications..
Help me .
Thanks in Advance.

Hi,
Can you check the status of bip_datasource? if it is in suspended status stop it then start. Once it is in running status then you check scheduler diagnostics. To check status of BIP data source please see below.

If this helps please mark.

  • Integrating BiP scheduler using PL/SQL

Excuse me, I am relatively new to this, but I have a requirement to integrate BiP scheduler with a batch job scheduler running on Windows that uses the corporate calendar. The batch job scheduler can call pl/sql , Java, JS , VB.. code , but I am more interested in the pl/sql option.
Could you please confirm that it is possible to call the BiP scheduler Webservices using pl/sql code ? are there any issues or porblems doing that ? I am familiar with PL/SQL web services but not sure about the BiP interface and how easy it is to integrate to it using web services.
    Thanks.

Yes, I did that kind of integration but not with BIP, so I got the background to call web services from PL/SQL but not sure about the BIP API and parameters, this is why I asked if somebody already did something close to this it will help to understand the BIP webservices API . I would really appreciate if you can show some sample code, does not need to be complete.
And Vetsrini , did you have the same requirement? ( to run or schedule BIP reports using pl/sql code )

  • BIP scheduled job stoped work

BIP with OBIEE 10.3.4 on Orace database. Both OBI and database are on Redhat Linux. We have a few scheduled report to be sent to a printer. It wors fine for many months. But two days ago they stopped work. There is not error messges in BIP Schedules page. In the Schedules>Schedules page, all scheduled job are still there within the data range that scheduled to run daily. In the Schedules>Hiistory page, reports are seen up to 2 days ago. There are no yesterday and today's records.
Where to find useful info to debug this? Any tips to fix it?
    Thanks.

The reports haven't been scheduled last two days. In case the schedule is still there, there might be something wrong with actually loading them in the scheduler.
You could restart the scheduler service, and/or the complete BI server.
Have you tried manually scheduling a report, to run immediately? What happens?

  • BIP scheduling issue

    Hi experts,
BIP(11.1.1.5) reports fetches data when manually run. But when scheduled through BIP Scheduler, they send out blank reports. We are very sure that this is not a data load issue because by the time these scheduled jobs run, data would have got loaded into the tables.
What could possiblly be the reason for this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    I't's solved. Thanks

  • Regarding BIP Scheduler

    Hi all,
For scheduling the BIP reports, apart from configuring the scheduler in BIP, do we need to make the Oracle BI Scheduler service up and running?

I just deleted all the tables starting with 'QRTZ_%' AND 'XMLP%' AND reinstalled the scheduler schema.

  • Unable to get job status via BIP web service

    Hi,
I'm scheduling a report job using the method scheduleReport of the ScheduleService web service. The method returns the jobId correctly, then I check the job status using getScheduledReportStatus.
Every time the method returns jobstatus = "Scheduled", but the report is finished. I noticed that BIP schedule a child job with different jobId (why?) and If I use it, the getScheduledReportStatus return a null status.
Using the method getScheduledJobInfo I have all the information, but how can I get the child jodId ?
    Best regards,
    Alessio

    Hi Alessio
I know this was a long time ago but i was just taking a chance:
Quick question: did you get this to work? I can schedule a report using the ScheduleReport sevice, but when i query the status using getScheduledReportStatus, the status remains 'Scheduled', even after the job has run. The job also does not appear in the Job History of the report. The report is set to burst, which it does correctly.
    Do you have any ideas?
    Thanks very much.

  • Urgent Help Needed in scheduling reports from BI Publisher

    Hi,
I have configure the scheduler service on my windows server. Now i am trying to schedule a report from BI pubisher. But it is not working. When i click submit button, It is not doing anything. It seems it adds entry in the job schedule table. Even when i click schedules link, it shows just show progress status on explorer status bar but nothing happens.
Any help would be on this would be highly appretiated.
    Thanks,
    Prasad

Have you actually checked the scheduler tab to see what the report did? BI Publisher will not just tell you if a job fails unless you have your email server configured then you tell it to email you if the job fails. Also, be patient because it can take up to 5 or 10 minutes for a report to completely run for a 40000 row dataset. If you check the scheduler tab and the job failed, check your RTF Template. I have discovered through trial and error that BIP is picky about how you do your tags, especially loop tags. These would allow you to view the report online but cause BIP scheduled reports to fail on the report. Other than that, have you installed the scheduler database and tied it in? BIP has its own database schema you have to install somewhere on an database server that it stores scheduling information in.
    I hope this helps.

  • BI Publisher Scheduling Problem

    Hi Experts,
Our BI Publisher is currently integrated with siebel, whenever i tried generating 35k records bip report via manual generation in siebel, it completed successfully, however when i tried generating it via bip scheduling it fails. Do you have any idea why this is happening? note that if i generate less number of records bip scheduler successfully generated the report. Hope you could help me on this.

    Symptoms
Siebel BI Publisher Scheduled Report jobs that use large data set (mostly over 10000 rows) fail with XDO error on the BI Publisher Server:

Caused by: oracle.apps.xdo.servlet.data.DataException: Requested data type does
not match with existing data type
    Cause
The issue occurs when a Siebel BIP Report based on an Integration Component that has more than 20 Integration Component Fields and processing over 20000-30000 records is run as a Scheduled Job on the BI Publisher server. This behavior can be reproduced with out-of-box reports also, provided the Integration Component has more than 20 fields.
A Product Bug:13398030 has been logged to request a fix in the future release of Siebel CRM.
    Solution
    Workaround
The report can be run in interactive/ real-time mode rather than running as a scheduled job.
NOTE: Please implement the solution as documented in the Document 1064043.1 to be able to run large data volume reports.
For document 1064043.1 this is the link https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/ui/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?_afrLoop=560666563922074&id=1064043.1&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=j5m2csomr_120
    Permanent Solution
The fix for this issue will be released in the Siebel CRM 8.1.1.9 Fix Pack.

  • Deliver Answer reports using OBIPublisher scheduler VS using OBIEE Delivers

    Hi Gurus,
I am working on a POC where I need to give a comparative study between delivery mechanism of OBIEE delivers and OBI Publisher Scheduler for sending across Answers/dashboard reports built in OBIEE.
Business & IT wants to use OBI Publisher scheduler to deliver reports to end users .I have extensively worked on OBI Delivers for delivery of alerts and configuring of IBOTS for various different tasks.
If somebody can tell me the pros and cons of using one or the other tool then it would be of great help.
Scenario:- we have some Cash Advance reports in OBIEE Answers/Dashboard from Oracle Applications(OTM) which are built using OBIEE and the reports needs to be delivered using OBI Publisher scheduler. Can I do this and if I can what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing it in OBI Publisher. And is it a good idea to use OBI Publisher scheduler because I belive to use the Publisher's scheduler I have to put the Answers reports in OBI Publisher and use Publisher's scheduler for delivery. Please let me know if my understanding is correct.
This is something for which I need to have a solution very soon.please help.
Thanks a lot in advance for all the help.
    Regards,
    Sankar

I think Delivers it's probably a better solution than the BIP Scheduler since it's better integrated to OBIEE. I don't think you can schedule a Dashboard in BIP Scheduler, as far as I know BIP takes Answer queries only. Besides a BIP report requires some setup before you can schedule it unlike Answers and Dashboards which can be scheduled directly in Delivers.
I guess it comes down to an architecture decision. If I were you I would try to use Delivers only. If you think Delivers is missing any BIP Scheduler functionality I would post another thread in the forum as they might another way to do it in Delivers which you don't know.

  • BI Publisher Bursting sending Email even after I delete schedule job

I am facing some weird issue in BI Publisher. We have a BI Publisher report and we are using Bursting query to burst the report to destination Email. It works fine when i run manually. It also worked fine when i schedule it first time for particular time. few days ago client wanted to change the scheduling time. Since there is no way to modify the scheduling time, i deleted the old schedule jobs from BI Publisher as well as i truncated the following tables from DB where it stores scheduling job information.
    XMLP_SCHED_JOB
    XMLP_SCHED_OUTPUT
    XMLP_SCHED_SUBSCRIPTION
I also created the new scheduling job based on new time. The issue is Clients are getting the emails in old time as well as new scheduling timel. I can see the new scheduling information in following table so no information of old scheduling time. How BI Publisher is still running the report on old time. I research a lot but still i am not able to find the place from where it is still sending the old emails. Can anyone please have any idea to resolve this?

Did you delete the job schedule using the GUI first? Otherwise by manually deleting the records from XMLP_ tables
may somehow have corrupted the scehduling option.
There are other components for the scheduler which are not only saved in XMLP_ tables and these
    are the QUARTZ tables.
As of release 11g there is not mechanism to manage BIP scheduler tables.
    regards
    Jorge

  • How to print a report on crystal report server using webservice call

    Hi,

  • BI Publisher "Report Job" not showing job continously searching

    Hi Experts,
I'm facing problem while schedule job in Oracle BI Publisher, I successfully schedule job (for bursting) and its running 3 or 4 days continuously, as a result got the report by email but after that I don't get any email, even no error message by email as well. when I go to "Report Job" it showing no data and continuously searching, showing "Fetching Jobs Data....." right top of the page
    Administration>Scheduler Configuration
    Scheduler = Quartz
    Administration>Scheduler Diagnostics
    Result = Passed
    Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.6.0

Ok, you cannot see report scheduler information, report history if scheduler is down or hung.
    1. How many reports are simultaneously scheduled to run?
    2. How do you rate the size of the scheduled reports? Based on number of rows it generates - Small? Medium? or Large?
Looks like BI Publisher is not able to push jobs into the scheduler queue.
Please check BIP scheduler database table "QRTZ_FIRED_TRIGGERS" to see any running or pending jobs.
You will come to the root cause of the issue by setting the BIP log level to trace:32
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28280_01/bi.1111/e22255/diagnostics.htm#BIPAD343
    or configure xdodebug
    https://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/entry/get_logging
Take next action steps based on the error/warning that will be captured in the log files during the time of scheduling
You can also consider the following but I would prefer to check the log files first
Please try this at your BIP server side
    1. Increase Java Heapsize if it is less
    2. Increase BIP Scheduler Database size
    3. Clear server cache and scheduler database transaction logs

  • Distribute Reports to Blob Column

Is it possible to distribute BI Publisher reports to a blob column? I would like this feature for my scheduled reports.
    Regards,
    Todd

    Thanks for the replies,
I'm not familiar with these solutions, so I will need to research...
I would like to have my application users submit BIP reports to the BIP scheduler. Then once the BIP reports are distributed to a blob column (in a table I define). The application users could then retrieve their reports from the blob column...
I like the idea of having the report in a blob column as it simplifies my application security. I can control my application security through the database. Having the report stored in the database along with security logic also enables my application to show the user only the reports they've run...
    Thanks,
    Todd
