BIWS with Breaks and Sub-Total

Hi All,
Created a simple report with Breaks and sub-total and then i exported that report block as BIWS. When I test it in the BIWS Manager, I can able to see the break data with sub-totals. But when i try to connect the same BIWS with Dashboard, am getting only the detail rows and am not getting the sub-total rows.
Please suggest how to go over this issue. Thanks for your time and support.

You have any idea now  ‘nbLines’ works? If its returning total row count, then i think we can try some options with it. Basically am trying to get data like below to apply combo box selectors on Year and Country.
Year

  • Hi! Everyone, I have some problems with JOIN and Sub-query; Could you help me, Please?

    Dear Sir/Madam
I'm a student who is interested in Oracle Database and
I have some problems with JOIN and Sub-query.
I hope so many of you could help me.
if i use JOIN without sub-query, may it be faster or not?
SELECT field1, field2 FROM tableA INNER JOIN tableB
if i use JOIN with sub-query, may it be faster or not?
SELECT field1,field2,field3 FROM tableA INNER JOIN (SELECT field1,field2 FROM tableB)
    Thanks in advance!

As the others have said, the execution plan will give you a better idea about which is faster.
If you're trying to see how using (or not using) a sub-query affects performance, make the rest of the queries as similar as possible.  For example, include field3 in both queries, or ignore field3 in both queries.
In this particular case, I guess the optimizer would do the same thing either way, but that's just a guess.  I can't see your execution plans.
In general, simpler code is faster, and better in other ways, too.  In this case
    tableB
    is simpler than
    (SELECT field1, field2  FROM tableB)
Why do you want a sub-query in this example?

  • This is regarding totals and sub totals in sap-scripts

    Hi to all...............
1...How to print totals and subtotals in sap-scripts? where we have to code the logic.what sort of logic is needed to print the same?
    regards,
    swaminath.

    Hi
    HI,
To calculate totals and sub totals in sap scripts you have to use subroutines.
Say if you have to add the unit price (KOMVD-KBERT) then in the main window whereever tat value is picked write this routine
    /: DEFINE &TOT_PRICE&
    /: PERFORM F_GET_PRICE IN PROGRAM <subroutine prog name> /:USING &KOMVD-KBERT& /:CHANGING &TOT_PRICE& /:ENDPERFORM
Then write the variable where ever you want it to be printed (mostly it will be in footer window)
Then create subroutine pool program and you have to write the code.
FORM F_GET_PRICE tables int_cond structure itcsy
outt_cond structure itcsy. data : value type kbert.
    statics value1 type kbert.
    Read int_cond table index 1.
    value = int_cond-value.
    value1 = value1 + value.
    Read outt_cond table index 1.
    outt_cond-value = value1.
    Modify outt_cond index 1.
    ENDFORM.

  • Problem with printing the sub totals

    Hi,
I am having a problem with smart forms in printing the line items of invoice.
I need to print the sub total of each page and need to display the sub total in the footer, with the caption 'Balance C f/w'. It works fine in some cases.
In some cases, the sub total is getting printed wrongly, because its adding the amount of the next page's first line item also. I checked the form page by printing SFSY-PAGE along with the line item's text. It's observed that, the vlaue of SFSY-PAGE for the first line item's  displayed in the second page is '1'. Due to this, the amount for this line item also is getting calculated with the sub total of the previous page.
Could you please suggest a solution for this problem?
    Thanks & Regards,
    John

    Hi,
In smartforms, in the general attributes of the FIRST page the Mode for the page counter should be 'Initialize counter' and for the NEXT page it should be 'Increase counter'.
Please check this in your smartform.
    Regards,
    Ram

  • Calculate totals and sub totals

    hi everybody
can u plz suggest me how to write code for getting sub totals and totals
    regards
    hridhaya

    Hello hridhayanjili
SAP provides us with the ABAP statement <b>COLLECT</b> to summarize totals.
I will give you an example from which you should be able to develop you own solution.
Let's assume we have an itab containing materials. The itab has the following line structure: MANDT, MATNR, QUANTITY. To calculate subtotals we require a second itab that is identical to the first one.
    Now here is the coding:
    data:
gt_itab          TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF <structure>,
gt_itab_collect  TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF <structure>,
gt_itab_total    TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF <structure>.
      gs_entry         TYPE <structure>.
    * NOTE: <structure> stands for a named DDIC structure or
    * a type definition, not a field symbol.
    * gt_itab contains our materials
      LOOP AT gt_itab INTO gs_entry.
        COLLECT gs_entry INTO gt_itab_collect.
      ENDLOOP.
    * NOTE: Assuming we had 10 entries in gt_itab of
    * 3 different materials we end up with 3 entries in
    * gt_itab_collect that contain the quantities summarized.
    * To calculate the total one could LOOP over
    * gt_itab_collect and summarize the values. Another way
    * is shown here:
      CLEAR: gs_entry-matnr.
      MODIFY gt_itab FROM gs_entry
        TRANSPORTING matnr
WHERE ( matnr IS NOT INITIAL ).
    * We clear the material no.
      LOOP AT gt_itab INTO gs_entry.
        COLLECT gs_entry INTO gt_itab_total.
      ENDLOOP.
    * NOTE: because we have the same value for CLIENT and
    * MATNR in every line we will end up with a single line
    * in gt_itab_total.
Please read the documentation of the COLLECT statement carefully because the structure of your itab (i.e. the order of the fields, especially those that will be summarized) is important.
    Regards
       Uwe

  • Replication with Domain and Sub domain in Active directory sites and services

I seen many AD enviroments and know that when you have mutiple DCs you use Active Directory Sites and services to replicate using the NTDS Settings. If you have a Domain and sub domain do you need to do this as well or does it sync up automatically because
it's a sub domain? A see a couple of domains where the NTDS settings isn't being used to snyc with the child domain. Just wondering if that is normal or will it cause authentication errors?

Two way transitive trusts are configured automatically when you create a child domain or tree root domain. You don't have to worry about site/subnet or replication part at least from trust perspective. But make sure site's names are unique in each domain.

  • Working with Folders and Sub-Folders

I'm updating this big site, and its pages are organized into
folders. I've only ever organized my images and .pdf files with
folders not my html files but all my prior sites have never had so
many files as this one. It’s starting to drive me crazy
though because pages in folders aren't connecting to scripts in the
scripts folder, menus aren't working right because of it and I'm
not sure what I can do to fix it.
My question is if images are showing up in these sub-pages,
the linked css is being applied in these sub-pages why are the
scripts not working in the sub-pages? For example, all the top
level pages easily connect to the rotating JavaScript banner, but
as soon as you go into a sub-folder page the banner disappears. All
these files are being updated via templates so any changes I'm
doing is affecting all the pages the same. That’s why
it’s confusing me why an image would connect the same but a
script wouldn't. Don't they search for their links root down or
does it search the folder its in down? How can you get templates to
work under such conditions where files are both in the root and in
    folders and sub-folders?
    Site reference is:
    http://golfforkids.net/focus/index.html
Please note that this is a temporary domain for testing. The
top menu will pop up a window saying that it needs to be
registered. They are, just not to that domain and I don't have
access to the native domain. Sorry for the inconvenience!
    Thank you for any clarification!!!

''"Are you subscribed to those subfolders?
    File (Alt-F) - Subscribe"''
Please see #2 in original post:
''"2) Trying to Subscribe to folders only shows Inbox, not sub-folders for Inbox."''
Attached is an image illustrating this (this screenshot was taken after forcing Thunderbird to show Inbox folders as described in #3 of OP)
    {In OP I was unable to attach images}

  • Drill Totals and Sub Totals

    Hi
I have a webi report of the following structure.
Fleet Center- Section on this column Information
Driver Name- Break on this column
    No of Hours spent-measure
I have subtotal by driver name------- then by fleet -
and then grand total of all the fleet centers
The webi report also have a drop down ( drill enanbled) feature on Fleet center and Driver Name
When a user selects a particular driver name (e.g Mark Edwards) ...
the report shows driver total, fleet total and grand total.....
The probelm is for a single driver I want to represent same information at fleet level and grand total level.....but on my report it shows total for all the drivers on that fleet......and grand total of all fleet.....even though in the drop down I have one driver selected.
Is this requirement  a possibility..?....or is there a way to hide section total and grand total when I select only a particular driver ... as showing the subtotals by fleet and grand total for just one driver does not make sense.
    Thank you,
    boe user

A couple of options come to mind. DrillFilters function could be used on the Driver Name object. If its non-blank then a driver has been selected in which case you would use a formula to not show the total that you dont want visible
something like this for section total cell (not real code, just an pseudo code):
IF DrillFilters([Driver Name]) = "" THEN [section total measure]
(we rely on the implied ELSE to return NULL)
    same for Grand Total
another variation is to use DrillFilters and optional hiding of cells or blocks. The latter is something that as of R3 webi it doesnt have as standard but you can fake it.
Try my first suggestion first and if you dont like the result we can talk about optionally hiding the section and grand totals when a value is selected

  • Problem with subtotal, and the total icon is not displayed at the toolbar

    Hi all,
I'm currentlyhaving difficulties working with the subtotal and the grandtotal. I have the code in the right place like the sort table
      CLEAR k_sort.
      ADD 1 TO k_sort-spos.
      k_sort-fieldname = pv_fieldname.
      k_sort-up        = c_x.
      k_sort-subtot    = pv_subtot.
      APPEND k_sort TO i_sort.
    and the fieldcatalog
      CLEAR k_fieldcat.
      add 1 to k_fieldcat-col_pos.
      k_fieldcat-fieldname  = pv_fieldname.
      k_fieldcat-tabname    = c_tabname.
      k_fieldcat-seltext_l  = pv_seltext.
      k_fieldcat-outputlen  = pv_outputlen.
      k_fieldcat-datatype   = pv_datatype.
      k_fieldcat-do_sum     = pv_dosum.
      APPEND k_fieldcat TO i_fieldcat.
but it didn't seems to show both the total and subtotal. Even the icon is not displayed at the ALV toolbar. The field which I need the total is a currency field. I even try other fields (interger fields) but with no luck. I'm using REUSE_ALV. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    hi,
In field catalog for the particular column which you want to sum make that as 'X'.
    say
    WHEN'MATNR'.
    it_fcat-do_sum = 'X'.
    CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
           EXPORTING
                i_callback_program     = report_id
                i_grid_title           = ws_title

  • Report with Title and sub-title

I am looking for a way to create a report with a title and a sub-title inside the same border.
I need a title in the title bar then some text under the title bar that describes the report and then the column headings followed by the data. So far the only way I can come close is to use two regions. The only problem with this approach is that there is not a border around the whole thing.
The basic look is the same as the Substring report in the Edit Page Template page of App Express.

Have you tried using the Region Header text for the report/form region?

  • Budget check for PM orders with main and sub-projects

    Hello
We have a scenario wherein we have created a main project and a sub-project. We have linked the sub-project to main project. We have also assigned budget to the main project. We have created a PM order wherein we are trying to enter the costs by entering the hours of work. We have configured the budget profile and set the tolerance limites and assigned to main project. The requirement here is we need to have have costs check againt the budget that been available in the main project. But the system is checking the budget of the sub-project. Please share if any specific setting is required to check the budget of main project instea sub-project.

I also double checked, you are right there is no forum for PM, I dont think I could suggest much since there isnt a dedicated forum, but you can try posting this query in the ABAP forum probably some abap'r who has worked with PM module should have a look. Also if possible try to connect with one of the moderators out here and ask for assistance in starting something for PM

  • Trouble with Menu and sub menu widget

I am a newbie, hence my current question.  I have developed a site for the company that I work for, the basic navigation menu widget has been added, however, the owner wanted a sub-menu for only one of the categories/menu tab, but I am having trouble getting/adding a drop down for one of the menus, it is doing an all or nothing when I try to add the submenu, regardless of only editing the one.  What am I missing?

Thanks, that is exactly what I was missing.  And that did the trick.  I know it was probably a dumb question, but I'm still learning my way around the Muse.
