Blackberry Messenger Problem

Hello...I have a friend who I have added to my contacts and when we try to massage...i can receive his massages but when i send him one he doesnt get it or doesnt see it...What should I do to fix it?

There is a difference if your friend does not see it or does not receive it.
Tell him that he should check the Messages-Application and if there are PIN-Messages from you. The BlackBerry Messenger is the application that handles the incoming/outgoing PINs.
Maybe he has blocked incoming PINs. Here is where he/you can check it:
Options -> Security Options -> Firewall
There you can then block:
#SMS
#MMS
#PIN
#BlackBerry Internet Service

    I have un-installed the application and re-installed it with no help and performed about 10 hand held wipes.

    Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion.
    1. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
    2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • Blackberry Messenger Problems

    My boyfriend and I have recently started having issues with BBM. We'd only had our phones a little while before it started, six months, him a little longer. It started on December 31, and since then we've been having problems such as our messages not sending, our messages sending but not saying they've been delivered or read, or conversations not opening completely. I was just wondering if anyone else is having this problem, or if it's just our phones. I've asked around and nobody else has had this problem. We take care of our phones, and everything works properly except for bbm.  If anyone else has had this problem and possibly has a solution, let me know please! It would be greatly appreciated. It's annoying having to constantly battery pull our phones! Thanks so much.

    What version of BBMessenger are you both using?

  • Problem receiving messages with Blackberry messenger

    I recently purchased the Blackberry 8130 Pearl.  While using the blackberry messenger I have an intermitant problem where I do not receive messages.  I have to remove the battery and restart the phone to receive the message.  Can anyone shed some light on this?

    im having problems with my blackberry messenger. Certain contacts on my bbm couldnt send messages to me it just came up as a red cross, so i deleted them and tried adding them again and now it just keeps saying pending. I cant add them and they cant add me. I wiped my phone and i had an email account set up on it so i could restore my contact list but now im having problems with that too.

    That post is a tad bit confusing, especially lacking adequate punctuation to understand where your sentence breaks are. But, if I am interpreting it correctly, then your carrier already has escalated your case up to BlackBerry and you are waiting to hear back for status. Is that correct? If so, then until you hear back, you should have no expectation of functionality anyway. I suggest you either continue to wait or ring them back up and ask for status.

    I'm having issues with a user who seems to take credit for my photo and set it as his contact photo. He refuses to remove it after my asking and I am reporting it as potential identity theft. His Pin is 282F88A2. Thank you and hope to hear from someone who can help.

    BlackBerry Messenger does not require a user name or password.  Are you referring to your Windows Live email account password or the BlackBerry Internet Service login?

  • Blackberry messenger 5.0.0.33 - options to send pics or file or voice note is not available

    I updated the blackberry messenger from the pre-loaded version 4.7.1 to the latest version of 5.0.0.33.  I was able to send pictures, voice note, and file during a chat session by clicking the trackball to bring up the menu and click "send voice note" or "send picture".  This option is no longer there in the 5.0.0.33 even though the user manual indicate this function is there.
    Anyone has the same problem?  Where can I download the previous version (4.7.1 for tour) and how to re-install the previous version of the blackberry messenger?

    You have not updated to the current BBM version...you are on an old version. The current version is 5.0.0.57...

  • BlackBerry Messenger version 7.0.1.23 Fault

    I have a BlackBerry 9360 (3G, Wi-Fi), 7.1 bundle 1717 (v7.1.0.569, Platform 9.6.0.86), BlackBerry Messenger version 7.0.1.23
    The team originally had the version of BlackBerry OS 6 operating system, for months to upgrade to the latest available for the team that is the Blackberry OS 7.1.
    Apparently the problem started when upgrading BlackBerry Messenger to the latest version (7.0.1.23), I installed it through the BlackBerry App World for my team.
    The team has about 6 months of use working perfectly, until recently that within BlackBerry Messenger application does not update the profile picture. I tried everything to fix it, between this I:
    1. Off and removed the battery long enough, the problem is solved partly because after the smart phone turns on the changing profile picture (but only sometimes), and when it does, it only once since before a second consecutive update the problem recurs, have to repeat the procedure.
    2. I deleted and reinstalled the application without any success.
    3. Reset the entire smart phone and reinstalled all applications again, without success.
    4. I've used all sorts of different connections (including 3G, 2G, Wifi) and in all alike the same problem.
    5. registered the BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network, and also sent the service books through the application of e-mail settings on your smartphone. (Without success)
    I would like to help me find a solution without resorting to absurd solutions like:
    1. delete all contacts and add them one by one again, since I have 300 contacts! and that's not humanly possible, also a risk that after adding back the problem recurring.
    2. get the battery every time you want to change my profile picture, (I do not buy a phone to get the battery every time you change a simple photo)
    3. nor reset the phone, update or delete the application because as I said I already did and did not solve the problem.
    otherwise I can not back up my contacts and I have the latest version of MSN BB and this does not bring this option, since all contact data is automatically saved in the cloud of my ID.
    *** At first I thought it was just a glitch in the profile picture, but then I realized that after pulling off the battery did not keep him to publishing the names of my contacts, and the contacts reappeared I had removed, ie there is a problem with the transmission of data from my device to my cloud data of my ID, ie these are not synchronized properly and changes made by me (as the profile picture and editing contacts) not saved, strangely I have no problem with sending messages from my contacts in BlackBerry Messenger, I can normally chat with them, nor do I have a problem with any other application or with the transmission and receipt of data from the device. ***

    If you're having problem with recent update , you can try reinstalling it again cleanly , but first  On your Homescreen Go to Options > Device Application Management > Locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from there.
    KB10040  :  How to view or remove installed application on a blackberry smartphone
    After deleting perform a battery pull restart by removing the Battery while is device is POWERED ON , wait a min. then re-insert it back . let your device takes a long reboot , finally from your BlackBerry Browser browse to  www.blackberry.com/bbm and download  the most recent version available for your device .After reinstalling see if that helps 
    Please Note : 
    If you're having BBM7 then your BBM Contacts are integrated with your BlackBerry ID , after installing when you login with your BlackBerry ID your Contacts will be restored back , but if you're having any previous persion then first do a local backup , you can backup in your Media card, refer to this KB for further  help:

    Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.
    If Problem Resolves mark the post(s) as " Solution ", so that other can make use of it.

  • Blackberry messenger app wont open

    Well a couple of days ago, my blackberry froze so i decided to pull the battery out for a couple of seconds and put it back in again to resolve this. However, when i tried opening up the blackberry messenger app, it wouldn't open. The bbm app icon is still there, but it just doesn't let me open the app. Yes, i've rebooted it like a million times and yet i'm still having the same problem. I only paid £5 and activated my bbm last week, so i'm pretty sure it hasn't run out yet. Bbm has been working fine until now, and my phone is working fine too, but i have no idea how to get the app to work. 

    Please confirm that your  phone is powered ON when you remove your battery; it won't work if your phone is OFF.
    If that's not the case, reloading the OS to the phone using BlackBerry Desktop Software might do the trick.  For most apps, I would  suggest deleting the reinstalling the app itself but with BBM being a core app, you might not be able to do that so proceed with an OS reload.
    Keep us posted on your progress.

    need help re installing blackberry messenger. i have spoken to my network provider and they could not help and therefore refer me to you.

    Okay, so, fast forward from July to now -
    - I've visited my closest Apple store's genius bar twice now. (Over an hour and a half away.)
    - My computer spent at least 8 hours behind their closed doors in the workshop
    - Several complete erases of the harddrive have taken place
    - Most of the Apple geniuses I dealt with were nice and very knowledgeable, but they were and still aren't 100% sure exactly what is wrong with my computer.
    The good news is:
    - They were able to at least get it running again, with a clean install from their servers of OS X Lion 10.7.5
    - They believe that my problems stem from either 1 of 2 things:
            - Faulty Hard Drive (even though it is brand new)
             - The wrong build of software being installed.
    Now, while the wrong build does seem like it could be the problem, it doesn't make sense in the aspect that all of the initial problems began when the first hard drive failed. The same problems continued when I changed out the failed hard drive with the brand spanking new one, and only slightly improved when I was able to successfully install the OS that came with the original disks for my computer. I'm not convinced this thing is back to normal, but hopefully I can make it last through getting a shiny new retina Macbook Pro in the coming future.     I recieved an e-mail (to both of my e-mail addresses) from Blackberry last night, this is what it read:

Please ensure that your BlackBerry is turned on to complete the registration. This email will be automatically processed by BlackBerry Messenger. Please do not delete this email until registration occurs.
    If this email is in your Junk mail folder, mark it as "Not Junk". On your BlackBerry Messenger profile screen, click the email address you are trying to register and use the menu key to send the registration again."
    How do I do this?  **I did not recieve these message on my blackberry....but in my hotmail inbox and school inbox**

    Dear Madam / Sirs,
    I would like to seek assistance in resolving an issue with my BLACKBERRY TORCH 9810 I installed the new version of BLACKBERRY MESSENGER on my phone and it does not work on WIFI ONLY MODE.
    For example I traveled to Mexico and Panama and was on a WIFI ZONE with open access and tried to use my BLACKBERRY MESSENGER and it did not work...I tried to deleting the application and installing a previous version but was not possible. The same issue occurs on a different BLACKBERRY phone that it was working perfectly...but after updating to the new version of BLACKBERRY MESSENGER it did not work.
    Please help me resolve this issue.

  • Why can't I open my BlackBerry Messenger?

    I'm having this problem with my BlackBerry. I don't know why I can't open my BlackBerry Messenger. I've tried to plugged out the battery and put it back in but still, I can't open my BlackBerry Messenger. So I did it repeatedly but I can't still open my BlackBerry Messenger. I read all about it on the internet and all they suggested is to back-up the BlackBerry Messenger contacts and upgrade the BlackBerry Messenger. I'd like to do that but how can I back-up my BlackBerry Messenger contacts when I can't even open my BlackBerry Messenger? So I tried downloading the BlackBerry Desktop Software. I connect my phone to it and I clicked on "Back up now". And now it's saved in my documents. But my question is, now that (I think) I've backed up all of my data, can I delete my BlackBerry Messenger and install/upgrade it and still have all my contacts? PLEASE REPLY ASAP.

If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support...only they can look at their network to determine why it's not properly communicating with your device.
