On the keyboard, at the bottom on  the left beside the spacebar, there is a button that look like a globe, tap on it and from there you can change the language for the password.
I hope this help

  • Blackberry ID Password reset email doesn't contain a link to reset password!

I'm having the same issue that this guy had in this forum (which doesn't seem to have a solution?): http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-PlayBook/Blackberry-ID-Password-Reset/m-p/1745415#...
Basically, I'm trying to reset my Blackberry password for my Blackberry Curve. I get a password reset email when i request it, but the email does not contain a link to reset my password. The ENTIRETY of the email is as follows:
"This email has been automatically generated. Please do not reply to this email.
If you have not previously indicated that you wish to receive emails from Research In Motion Limited and/or its affiliated companies regarding exclusive offers and updates about BlackBerry products and services and you would like to do so, please click here.

Does anyone know what the problem is? It's not my web browser distorting the email -- i've tried retrieving the email from Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

That is very strange indeed...with only 2 possible causes I can think of.
    1) Your email app (on your PC) is blocking the link that is included in the email...many email apps will do this and sometimes you must override them. If you have an alternate interface to use (e.g., GMail webmail interface versus Outlook), then try the other and see if that helps. Depending on the email environment (e.g., private corporate email system), it is also possible that some gateway along the path is stripping out the necessary link(s) as a security measure.
    2) The reset email facility is actually broken, and the email does not contain what it is supposed to. If that is the case, then it requires formal attention from RIM. The only way to achieve that is for you to contact VZW and have them escalate your case into RIM.
    Good luck!

  • Blackberry protect password reset

I have a problem I forgort my password and the answer to the security question,I actually don't remember, and I want to retrieve my contacts and calender events, how do I reset my password?

    Hey mmelieman,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
If you forgot the answer to your security question then the BlackBerry® ID password can not be reset.  You can create a new BlackBerry® ID by going to www.blackberry.com/blackberryid
Let me know if you have any more questions. Cheers.

  • BlackBerry ID - Password Reset Issue

Hi I'm having problems changing my BB ID password, it keeps saying the" value you have entered is invalid". I keep trying it and the same thing keeps coming up all the time. Please can you help me

Are you entering letters and numbers only? Special characters are not permitted (I don't think so, anyway).
    I hope I've been helpful.

  • Can no longer login to Blackberry App World or get a password reset, please help!

I cannot login to My Blackberry App World on https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/bbid/login/
I have entered my email and password but it is rejected.
When I ask for a password reset I am prompted to answer a security question. The security question I am given is one I have never set, so I do not know what the answer is meant to be!
Consequently I cannot get a password reset so am unable to access My Blackberry App World, either on my phone or on a pc.
What has happened to my account and why can I no longer log in..?

Apparently, there was something corrupt in my Profile. I backed up my default profile, created a new one and copied over the critical folders and files - the addons; backedup bookmarks, places.sqlite; password info in key3.db and signons.sqlite.
    Issue resolved.

  • My Playbook is stuck on the Blackberry Playbook Start up Page! And won't reset!

    Hi All,
i need help for my playbook.
At first my battery wasn't holding any charge , i had lost the charger that came with it. Someone told me to buy the
    rapid charger which i did.
I tried all the reset tricks Vol- Vol+ and Power for 15seconds - 20 seconds everything that you may read on the net.
I plugged it on the Rapid Charger and now all it showing is the Blackberry Playbook sign on the screen. If i remove it it just shuts down. When i plug it back in it restarts and shows the the battery icon with the connection and then starts and stalls at that same Blackberry Playbook sign.
PLEASE HELP ME AND MY 4 YEAR OLD SON PLS.
    Thanks a bunch

Have you connected your playbook to a desktop computer?
My understanding is if you have a computer with Blackberry Desktop installed, You can connect the Playbook and reload the OS

    Hello
For security reason, RIM deliver a confirmation email which accessible from our computer, not to our handheld device. If you still own that BlackBerry ID associated email address , you  can find it in your laptop. But if you're no longer have access to that email, you are stuck and need to create a new BBID.

  • Blackberry Playbook Wont show OS 2.0 Update

    Hey you all,
I'm new on the this forum.
Srry for the lack of english its not my native language.
Currently  I got my new Blackberry Playbook, os version 1.0.5.2342.
When I want to update to os 2.0 it just isn't showing it.
That is if I go to the Gear like icon in the top right of the playbook --> software update --> and than Check for Updates.
Its says: You currently have the latest sofware installed.
What could be the problem for this?
I've tryed to reseting the playbook to its original factory settings, but this just deleted all my apps and only shows Browser and Setup.
I also live in Holland but that shouldnt matter or should it?
    Hope someone can help.
    Greeting,
    Oliver

    Try this
    1. Open PB Desktop Manager
    2. Connect PB to PC
    3. Once connection is established go to "Help" should show no updates
    4.  Hard restart PB pressing power button and select "restart"
    5. Once restart has begun Desktop Manager will display a popup window "option to Update" select update
    6. This will take a long time approximate 15-20 minutes while the Original OS is downloading from RIM server
    7. Follow on screen instruction at end
The original factory install will have been restored (all images, videos original games etc) . You need to re-initialize the PB from the start, just as if you just got it home from your store purchase.

  • Password RESET for accessing BB email setup

Hi there, I have lost a password for accessing setting up email , I need to reset it please what happened I have found this opt on BB email setup to connect to a PC to setup email rather than a handset, I said OK, I set up a user word and password, now I forgot the password, which means I can't enter setup for my email on the handset I need urgent help please Warmly, Michael PS my email: <removed>
MOD EDIT: Removed personal information to comply with Community Guidelines and Terms and Conditions of Use.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I cannot tell for sure from your description which of these applies to you...
If this is your independent BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) credentials, then you simply need to ring up your mobile service provider as they manage your BIS account for you.
But, if your provider has merged (as they all are doing) your BIS credentials into your BlackBerry ID account, then your challenge is greater. Start first with these please:
KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password using the password recovery question
    KB24157 BlackBerry ID lockout behavior
KB32111 "The link is no longer valid." is encountered when attempting to reset a BlackBerry ID password
KB26361 How to change or reset the BlackBerry ID password
KB28111 Unable to reset BlackBerry ID password when using a BlackBerry hosted email address
KB28232 BlackBerry ID reset email is not being delivered to the associated mailbox
If you have forgotten your BB ID credentials AND have non-BB access (e.g., Outlook, webmail, etc.) to the email account that is currently configured to your BB ID account, then those instructions should allow you to recover access to your BB ID account, even without the password or recovery question (please read them all carefully to find the section that applies to you).
As a last automated resort, and only if you have the original email you received when you originally created your BBID (it cannot be regenerated), then it should contain a link to actually now destroy your BBID. Then, you create a new BBID, but using the exact same credentials (username, email address), and it is supposed to relink all of your prior BBWorld records (purchases, downloads) and allow you to continue on.
However, if you do not have access to that email account, or if you never properly validated your BBID account, then your challenge is much greater, and you have a choice to make depending on your circumstances:
If you have no AppWorld records, BBM Contacts, etc. that you require to retain (e.g., purchase records for apps), then simply abandon the BB ID and create a new one. To do so, however, does require a device WIPE:
KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or BlackBerry smartphone
But, if you do have AppWorld records, BBM Contacts, etc. that you must keep, then you require human intervention. To receive that, you must ring up your mobile service provider and convince them to escalate your case up to BlackBerry. Further, you must convince BlackBerry to provide you with a solution -- which likely will either be resetting your current BB ID so that you can again access it or having you create a new BBID and they will manually move your purchase records over. Note that I have no idea if they will be willing to do this, but there is no other way that I know of to retain your prior AppWorld purchase records.
    Good luck!

    Hi,

If it opens random apps without you touching the screen at all, even after doing a 3 button reset, try a security wipe.

I was wondering if anyone can see anything wrong with this code, as it does not seem to be working.
Once the email is entered, a password should be generated, and should be sent to the users email address (if it exists in the database). Or return an error message if there is no record.
