Blank file when exporting

I'm using the latest Flash Profesional CC.
I've finished making a lyric video and I now want to upload it to youtube but need to export the video first.
However upon exporting its just a blank video thats 30KB - Note when I click debug/test the full video plays fine.
As a side note when using the Adobe encoder it's displayed as a blank 5 second video.
Any help appreciated.

Muse follows its own structure and keeps HTML, CSS and JS code in separate files as and when possible. If you want all that code to be merged into the HTML file itself, then there is no option to force Muse to do that. You can however, add your own CSS code into the HTML page by adding the CSS using either the Insert HTML option or using the HTML for <head> option in Page Properties > Metadata.

I have 2 pages in all in a .PSE file.
When I try to export it as .PDF, the quality is very poor. I cannot change it to a better quality.
Please advise how I can export the file so that i can have better quality.

Yup, a logo as bitmap takes up more space than the same as a vector -- unless the vector image is bitmap heavy (think Drop Shadow, Outline Glow; these are actually bitmap effects).

Missing Source files when exporting to Soundtrack and LiveType

An extremely frustrating "glitch" has occurred. When exporting to LiveType or Soundtrack, I receive and error message telling me that one or more of my source files are missing. I had been editing with these files in FCP 5 for the past few days with no problems. Initially I had no problem exporting to LiveType. Yet, today when I exported to Soundtrack Pro and subsequently LiveType, my source files just disappear. I have found some references to this issue in the discussions, but found no solution. If someone has found a solution since the last posting, please inform of it.

Export the clip using current settings.
Then open that in LT, and work with it independently.
Then export is and import it into FCP and use it to replace the original clip in the sequence.

Why Adobe media Encoder makes 3 files when export in MPEG2 ?

I try to compress a sequence using File-Export-Adobe Media Encoder -MPEG2-DVD. I want to reduce the size of my sequence (normaly exported as .AVI file) When done, I have 3 files: 1) .m2v 2) .Wav 3) .mcses
What are theses files ? Should I use something else to reduce the size of my files to fit on a 4.7G DVD...?

The .m2v file contains the MPEG-2 video.
The .wav file contains the PCM (uncompressed) audio.
The .mcses file contains information about chapter markers.
Encore will use the MPEG-2 file "as is" and by default compress the PCM audio to Dolby Digital (AC3).
There are basically two options to make your project fit on a DVD:
Export a DV AVI file from Premiere and let Encore decide on the best compression settings "on automatic".
Do a bit budget calculation and use the bit rate numbers found in Premiere's Media Encoder.

Illustrator and InDesign creating unknown files when exporting and saving. MAC CS5

I assist a small business with IT and recently (a month or so) strange files have begun appearing in two different circumstances. As a little bit of background, our usual designer recently went on holiday to Japan so we had a temp working with us, it is possible she as fiddled with some settings.
1. When Exporting to PDF using InDesign, a folder is created named $esnp that contains a collection of files roughly 8mb in size.
*.pdf$P1O0 - 4kb
*.pdf$T - 20kb
*.pdf$W214 - 317kb
*.pdf$V429 - 1,270kb
*.pdf$W429 - 1,270kb
*.pdf$W858 - 5,083kb
2. When Saving as EPS from Illustrator, a folder is created named $esnp collection roughly 8mb
*.eps$P1O0 - 6kb
*.epsf$T - 20kb
*.eps$W214 - 317kb
*.eps$V429 - 1,268kb
*.eps$W429 - 1,268kb
*.eps$W858 - 5,078kb

Creating Cinema Tools Program File when Exporting Film Lists

When Exporting a Cinema Tools Film List,
if the "Save a Cinema Tools Program File" option is checked, I get an error message saying:
"An error occurred in getting the parameters for the cut list."
It works fine if the option is unchecked, however, I need to create the Program File in order to generate a Change List later. Does anyone have a solution?

Blank Slides when Exporting

I'm not sure if this is a Captivate or Flash question, but I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I have a couple of videos created in Captivate 5 that I would like to share with my team. These consist of video capture done by Captivate and I have also added slides with introductory information and concluding information. When I export these as a swf file, the added slides show up blank. Once it plays past these, the recorded content shows up fine.
I viewed a tutorial on lynda.com about exporting to Flash, but it goes as far as saying you may need to make adjustments to the action script in Flash, but doesn't go on to tell you how to do it.
Right now, my work-around is to save as a pdf. However, I would like to embed these videos online and the pdf files are not conducive to that environment. Can anyone tell me which piece or actions I'm missing to get the additional slides to show up in video?

I do not understand well: where did you add the additional slides, in Captivate itself or in another application? This is a work flow I'm using all the time, so do not get your issue, must have missed something. And how did you get a pdf, which work flow? I do not see why you should export to Flash, or did you create the additional slides in Flash (seems crazy to me)?

Blank images when exporting to PDF

I am trying to export a 20+ page spread indesign file to PDF. When doing so, some of the images are showing blank once it has been exported. What is happening?

Well, miraculously it started working, but in case it happens again.. here is more information. I am using CS5. I have made a portfolio of my design work and only some of the files are blank. I used PDF interactive. Some of the images in my portfolio are line drawings and others are charcoal drawings. Only Some of the line drawings are the ones that are just blank when I export it.

Lost my Edge Reflow file when exporting for code editor

Hello,
I just finished my project and exported the code. The code look nice, but I wanted to change something back in the Edge Reflow file and when I opened the file all I could see was a blank screen, no pages, no information, no nothing. The only thing I saw was that on the Asset Library all of the pictures I used were there, and an error on the 'talk to the team' button: Failed to load URL file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Adobe/Adobe%20Edge%20Reflow%20CC%20Preview/www/reflow/ src/modules/extensionbar/view/templates/olark.html with error (-3)
Could somebody tell me what to do at this point?

I managed to figure this out through laborious guess and check. Just thought I would share the bug in case anyone else ever runs into it.
A third party library I was using wrote try catch statements wrong:

No idea why the original author did it like this, probably meant to write "error:*" and didn't release shift fast enough after the "(" but as you might suspect "Error" is a reserved object name to cannot be declared as a paramenter variable
when replaced with:
try{
catch(error:Error){
the memory access bug went away. What is strange is that the incorrect try/catch statement works just fine when published to swf, air, or android and is only an issue with the iOS converter, and obviously produces a very cryptic error.
I was using CS5.5 so maybe this has been fixed (if not I would suggest making this a compile time error) but just thought I would post my findings.

I scoured Google, these forums, and Crystal support but haven't found a solution to my issue.
I have a Crystal report (version XIR2) served from an Enterprise server. I also have a ASP.NET C# application that calls and runs this report in a DHTML CrystalReportViewer. The actual report runs just fine.
Clicking the print button in the report viewer's top toolbar causes the viewer to attempt to export the report to a .pdf, from where you can actually print it. This is where my problem lies! When Adobe Reader opens and attempts to open the temporary .pdf file generated from the viewer, I get the message "Adobe Reader could not open 'filename.tmp' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)." This also happens when trying to export the report directly into PDF format. Everyone who would run this report, including me, is using Adobe Reader 8.1.
Exporting to other file formats seems to work just fine. Excel and Word have no problems.
Also, interestingly enough, exporting to PDF and trying to print in Internet Explorer 7 works just fine! These problems seem to only occur in IE6. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to use IE7 yet, so we are stuck with IE6. Additionally, we are stuck using the DHTML viewer, so other viewers, like the ActiveX or Java viewers, are not options for me.
I had found some articles in Business Object support saying this problem was related to WebSphere, and there were various solutions I found related to that. However, WebSphere isn't used anywhere in our organization, so this problem must be stemming from elsewhere.

I think your pdf file is probably damaged. There is a tool called Advanced PDF Repair. I have used it to repair many corrupt PDF files successfully. Its homepage is http://www.datanumen.com/apdfr/ Maybe you can have a try.

"Ghost files" when exporting to CD for PC or DVD player

I'm exporting my photos from iPhoto and then burn them to a CD (for friends that are using PC or want to watch them on their DVD player) ghost files appears like duplicates. So if I burn 100 images it will be 200 when opening on a PC or on a DVD player.
I tried it on my Xbox360 and the same thing appears.
Is there some way to get around this?

The "extra" file is probably an icon (resource fork file).
These resource files are only used by the Mac OS and can be removed from the image file prior to burning the PC CD.

How do i keep my RAW files from turing to jpeg files when exporting them to My Passport?

I am an amature photographer and take all my pitures in RAW form (highest quality and more editing capability). I was given a My Passport for Mac external harddrive to transfer all my files to to open more space on my mac book. When importing my RAW files to the Passport they automatically turn to JPEG files. I just re-imported a few files from the Passport back into Aperature and they are still JPEG files Is there something i need to do to keep my RAW files RAW? If not with the Passport, is there another external that would be of better use to me?

When you drag and drop the from Aperture you export the JPEG Preview.
Use the command "File > Export" in Aperture to export the original files.
You can also open an Aperture library in Photos - this will create a Photos library.

Bad files when exporting reports to PDF with CR4E

Hello,Have any of you successfully used CR4E to create a report and report viewer that produces a valid PDF export? I attempted this and the report looks fine, but when I export it to a PDF and attempt to open it, I get an Adobe Reader error message stating "There was an error opening this document. Keynote creates separate audio and image file when exporting to quicktime, how can you create one unique file?

I have a Kenote 09 presentation with a presentation soundtrack, when I export it to Quicktime two files are created one with audio and one with video.
¿Is there a way to have this be just one file or to combine this files to have one video+audio file?
I was able to put them together with iMovie, but the image looses quality.

I tried fixed timing but I needed different timing for each slide. But I did manage to resolve using the following.
Since the audio was just music I first set both Input and Output sound setting in preferences to use Soundflower instead of internal mic and speaker, then played the presentation while recording audio so that the music would be recorded. And finally exported using Recorded Timing. This way the output was one unique file!
