Blank pages at end of document won't go away

I have a couple of blank pages appended to the end of my document that I can not get rid of. Any section i drag to the end of the document is automatically appended to that section. This is really strange.
When I View Invisibles I find nothing on the pages that would cause them to be there; no page or section breaks, no hidden content, nothing.
Sometimes I see this kind of behavior after a table, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Any section I drag to the bottom gets appended. Here I have dragged the single page 2 section to the bottom. Same results.

What about what is on the previous page, do you have objects with auto wrap on that could be pushing something over to a new page?
e.g. There could be a last paragraph return or page break on the previous page that causes a blank page after.
Clicking on the last page and hitting delete usually clears those. You have to think in formatting terms, that is how Pages is managing the pages.

Blank pages in generated Word document

I am using RoboHelp and I have created a document similar to
others that I have created. I generate printed documentation to
Microsoft Word, and it seems to have extra blank pages scattered
throughout the document. When I edit it with Word, I see these
Section Breaks that are in there. I have to delete those and then
re-format my page breaks to get it to work right. This is a real
pain to do especially if I have to make updates to the document
(which I know I will have to do). Any ideas as to why this is
happening all of a sudden? There is really nothing unusual about
this document but perhaps I am missing an option or something is
extra that shouldn't be there.

Inserting blank pages into an existing document

I'm new to Pages. I'm creating my first document, which involves text and photos. It's presently a 5 page document. I'd like to insert two new blank pages right after existing page 3 (for items that I don't have yet but will in the next day or so), but I can't figure out how to do that without messing up what I've done. "Insert page break" isn't showing up as an option when I put the cursor at the end of page 3 (which is on a photograph, immediately following a caption that's typed on the photograph). Also, I don't have any section breaks in the document.
Any ideas? It seems like this should be something straightforward. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks.

Click on View > Show Invisibles. You should see a paragraph marker at the end of page 3. Put your cursor right before that, then you should be able to click on Insert > Page Break. Do it twice and you should have two blank pages.

Can't get rid of blank page at end of Word doc.

I have looked all over the web but suggestions that have helped others with this problem will not work for me! I have a 2-page document with columns, and then a 3rd blank page that I don't want. I am displaying non-printing characters and can see an extra para (page break?) starting on the blank page, but it won't delete. I have tried forward delete and highlighting it but it just pops back again. Infuriating!
Another strange thing that might be to do with it, is that an empty header and footer show on the blank page, and say 'Header-Section4-' even though the previous is section 2 and there are only 3 pages.
Any help massively appreciated!

Blank page at end of report

Hi,
I'm getting a blank page at the end of a report.
The problem is something like this.
I have 2 queries,main query Q1 and child query Q2. Q1 returns the dept information and Q2 the employees of that department.
I do not want to display the dept info if there are no employees in that dept.
I have created a format trigger for the main repeating frame to take care of this.
But the problem now is I'm getting a blank page at the end of the report.
Any help appreciated.

* In previewer , the parameter blankpages=NO has no effect , because this parameter is mainly intended as a paper saving mechanism . This is the expected behaviour .
( I assume you are using 9i here )
* For pdf output blankpages=NO should suppress blankpages , but this is bug 2613988 for 9i . This bug has been fixed and you can expect the fix in the next patch set . If you cannot wait till then , please get in touch with Oracle Support and request for a one-off .
* If you are using 6i , this bug has been fixed and applying latest patch set should solve the issue .

How to avoid a blank page at end of the page?

Hi Experts,
I have created a smartform where i need to display the line items based on the customer data.
I have created a command at the end of the loop. For every new customer it has to go to new page. After the completion of the report i'm getting a blank page at the end.
If i take a single customer or multiple customer, I'm getting a blank page at the end. I need to avoid this.
Please let me know the procedure to avoid it.

Try this logic
In the "Initialization" tab of global definitions
DESCRIBE TABLE IT_TAB LINES W_COUNT.
Here IT_TAB contains all the customers
While looping IT_TAB count the records into W_COUNT_CURRENT " Current record count
In the COMMAND give the condition
W_COUNT_CURRENT <> W_COUNT (Go to new page as long as current customer is not the last customer)
For the last customer both variable will be equal and there will not be a new page.
Note that the COMMAND must be at the end of the LOOP for this logic to work

SharePoint 2010 FAST search pagination giving blank page in end

Hi All - I have few best bets defined for few keywords. When i search for that keyword with best bet. and then if filter for some result type with 19 result items. It start showing 21 as soon as clicked on it, as there are two best bets.
but when i click on third page then i get blank page. Is I am the only one to face this issue or You can also see it in your OOB Search site?

I tested the same scenario per your post in my environment and I got the same results as you got.
The UI uses that number (RelevantResults.TotalResults + BestBets. TotalResults + HighConfResults. TotalResults) to drive the paging control, so if the total results in search core results web part is just equal to the limit set on the results per
page in Search Core results web part, then there will be an additional page which is empty when doing search.
It is by design that the Search Paging web part treats the number (RelevantResults.TotalResults + BestBets. TotalResults + HighConfResults. TotalResults) as the relevant results, so the search pagination shows a blank page in the end.

Insert blank page 2 for all documents in PDF. Multiple document PDF.

I have a form that prints on to many invoices. The first page contains a tear off stub, so i need to skip the second page for each invoice in a multiple invoice PDF. Assuming this must be done with script as I can skip the page two of entire document but not individual invoices.

I do not follow. Can you explain this further?

MS Word Document won't go away

I'm using a mid-2012 11"MBA running OSX 10.8.2 and I've been having trouble with MS Word '11. It's always been a bit crash-prone, but sometimes if I'm working on a document full screen it will lock up and then cover up the main desktop instead of its own and hide everything, including the dock. Mission control, expose, and show desktop all don't work, only launchpad, but it goes right back to the document blocking everything. Quitting word will usually fix it, but it's super annoying. Anyone got a clue?

Text flow to additional pages at end of document, how to set up in InDesign CS5

I've added additional pages to a document in InDesign CS5 -- but how do I set up my document so when text is supposed to get pushed to the additional pages the text flows from page to page on these extra added pages? Right now I've added additional pages to the end of my document and when the text from the original document gets pushed past the end it disappears and not continued on the additional pages.

Here's where some folks may be surprised when they find that sometimes a print or export dialog box, either retains or forgets the settings used for the previous run; the result may be printing multiple copies instead of one, printing to a different printer than expected, or exporting a PDF that's not suitable for the desired printer.
The short story is that while book processing lists that are separate from the component files offer flexibility and reusability, but they also require that the user pays attention.
Did I commingle Autoflow and Smart Text Reflow in some way? I didn't think so.
Not at all. I'm just extra-sensitive to my own experiences with not having taking pains to keep clear on the differences between these similar-sounding terms.
My point was that HOW your text was put into the file to begin with, coupled with how your settings for STR are configured, is going to control whether subsequent editing triggers reflow. It's possible to have STR enabled and not have it work because you've limited it to master text frames and you haven't actually used any. An understanding of how autoflow works when placing text is important to being able to troubleshoot why STR is not behaving as expected (not to mention why text frames may not be adjusting if you edit the master page).
One reason for the confusions that come from working with Smart Text Reflow is that there's no indication in the UI, that STR is enabled, and when it's enabled, there's no indication in the UI of which STR settings are in effect, except by seeing the behavior. Are pages added at the end or story, section, or document? You may see them added in the Pages panel, if it's open, on screen, and if the appropriate portion of the document is in view; you may see them added on screen if the appropriate portion of the document is on screen - the end of story, section, or document.
In InDesign's Help, Smart Text Reflow is covered in only a few paragraphs. As you noted, there's much more to it.

New laserjet pro cp1525 ejecting extra, blank, page at end of print request. how do you stop?

Just installed a new Laserjet Pro CP 1525nw. It wants to expel a blank sheet after every print request. How do I stop it from ejecting the blank sheety at the end of the print request.

Is this only on a certain app? What about printing a windows test page or even from notepad? If these are ok then this would suggest its the page setups in the program you ate using rather than driver / printer.
If its all apps try the reports from the printer direct, if this is ok then it's probably drivers. Remove from safe mode and download updated.

Pages/Numbers 4.3 documents won't show Quick Look in Finder anymore?

After being dissatisfied with the features and presentation of Pages and Numbers 5.0, I removed both apps from my Mac Mini—running Mavericks—and went back to using Pages/Numbers 4.3. However, I noticed that Finder no longer provided a Quick Look of either type of document (it just shows the generic Pages/Numbers 4.3 icon instead of content), even though they will open without a problem in the 4.3 apps. A few days later, I decided to downgrade to Mountain Lion—due to Mavericks performance issues—figuring it would fix the Quick Look issue, but it still persists. All other documents—images, video, PDFS, etc. Quick Look just fine.
Any suggestions on how to get back Quick Look for my Pages/Numbers documents?

It sounds like they are not Pages '09 files, they are files you have saved in Pages 5.2.
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed 110 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

After installing update for Pages 5.0.1 documents won't open

Hi,
Was running Pages 4.3 on Maverrick 10.9.1
I got a notification that an update was available. I clicked to update the application. Pages 5.0.1 was installed. It launches. It seems I can create new documents as well.
However, I’m unable to open my previous documents. Moreover, I can’t seem to open them with the old Pages version (4.3) either. When I right-click the icon in the dock, the old documents that were open when the update occurs are listed. But I can’t get them on screen.
Is there a cache to clear? Shall I restart? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

The last page of every pdf document won't print.

If I ask to print just one page - nothing. If I ask for two pages, I get the first page. Help. Using Mac OSX 10.9.5 and Adobe 11.0.09
I tried printing using an older version of Adobe, had the 'won't print last page problem' so I upgraded to the latest version. Still the same exact problem. Does anyone have suggestions?

I have the same problem, but not just in Acrobat. Indesign also. So... I can't print a single page. Have to print two, and toss the one I don't want. Seems to be a problem with Adobe print interface. I can sometimes "trick" it by going to system print dialog box and back out again.

My Pages 5.5.2 document won't open in Pages 5.5.2

So I'm writing an essay and have been writing the essay on the same computer with the same pages from the start till now. Yesterday I tried to open my document to edit it, and it says "______.pages" can't be opened. Because of this, I decided to retype it by looking off of the old copy. Today when I tried to edit what I wrote it said the same thing as before. I looked up everything and could not find out the problem. Please help.

Thanks for that, will keep in mind for the future. Fortunately with my current files I was able to open them on my Macbook Pro so then exported them as a Pages 09 file and then they now open fine on my iMac. It only appears to be recently saved files that I am having problems with, files saved in older versions seem to open up fine. Does make you think twice before upgrading!!! Thanks for your help!
