  • Report in CSV format

    In an Apex report SQL query, i had written a statement for the column as
    '<div style="width: 260px;">'|| PARTY_NAME || '</div>' as PARTY_NAME to avoid wrapping of the column text.
    Now, when i download the report in csv format, i get the output in PARTY_NAME column as follows:
    <div style="width: 260px;">SELF</div> instead if SELFPlease suggest the solution.

  • Exporting Cystal Reports into CSV format

    Hi,
    I wanted to export some reports in CSV format with following options checked in Crystal 2008:
    These options are given under separated Values exports options:
    1. Mode = Standard Mode
    2. Isolate Report/Page sections and Isolate Group Scctions check boxes checked
    I could not find properties in CR object to set as per above requirement in VB6 code.
    I am searching these properties in  ReportObj.ExportOptions
    Can anyone please advise in this regard.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards-
    Bhoopendra

    Hi Bhoopendra,
    The Report Designer Component (RDC) COM component has been retired with the release of CR2008. Using CR2008 in VB6 is not supported, and it's not expected to work.
    The recommended upgrade path is to migrate to the Crystal Reports .NET SDK. You can find getting started information in the [.NET Development - Crystal Reports|SAP Crystal Reports, version for Visual Studio; forum.

  • How to generate reports in CSV format using content tracker

    Hi all,
    I have installed Content Tracker and Content Tracker Reports components.
    Using Content Tracker Reports I can able to view the Reports and there is also

    The requirement is to download reports in CSV format.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Can you please help me with the following based on your feedback.
    1) I had created a dashboard page that has multiple analysis in it. The output of the dashboard page has to be generated in pdf format and for multiple Relationship Manager.
    2) I can add the above dashboard page to the agent to schedule for execution and send email for one specific relationship manager. But the issue I am facing is I need to do the same all of the 100s of relationship manager i.e. one agent for each RM. The solution I am looking for is to schedule the dashboard page to be executed using one agent and by passing RM codes one by one and sending the output file through email to the respecitive RM.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Problem in exporting report in CSV format

    Hi All,
    I am using Crystal Reports. Following are details about it:
    CR Developer
    Product 8.5.0.217
    *_Problem that I am facing:__*_
    I can create report in .rpt format, it is working fine here. But while trying to export this report in CSV format, it gives report that doesn't contain any information.
    Is it because I am missing something or it is a known issue?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Anand

    Hi,
    I too am facing the same problem.
    The report was made in 8.5. I have exported the report & opened it in Crystal report 12.
    I can export to PDF, RTF, DOC & Tab separated Test.
    However when I export this report in .csv (legacy mode) I just get the header & when I export it in .csv (Standard) I get a blanck .csv file.
    I have  checked 'Isolate Report/Page sections' and 'Isolate Group sections'. Still no data in the report.
    refreshed it too.
    I contains sub reports, but not in the page header & footer (I think) & it does not seem to have cross tabs & OLAP grids.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • How to export report IN CSV format through JAVA.

    how to export report in csv format.when try to export in csv format.its exporting into csv but report not containing column heading , report heading and it showing all the data in a single line.we have integrated the reports with java.

    Use a Java API which can create PDF files based on some collection of plain vanilla Java objects (List, String, Number, etc).
    Google can find them all. Just feed it with something like "Java PDF API" or so. A commonly used one is iText.
    That said, when talking about this in JSP context, ensure that you do NOT write raw Java code in JSP files using scriptlets. Raw Java code belongs in Java classes. In such case you need a Servlet. In JSP just use taglibs and EL to interact with backend Java code and data. Scriptlets are discouraged since over a decade.

  • How to schedule a webi report in csv format without header?

    I have a requirement to create scheduled csv reports without table headers? I am unable to do this from CMC. It gives the column headers by default in the exported csv file. However, in the webI rich client, I have an option to save the document as "CSV-Archive" which allows me to omit the column header.
    How are these two options different and is there a way to get the "CSV-Archive" option from CMS?
    Looking for your valuable suggestions.
    Thanks
    Sukanto

    Is there a way to get the "CSV-Archive" option from CMS?
    Customization of existing options or features in CMC is not available, it will become an enhancement request, you have to place this request in SAP Idea place.
    WebIntelligence Rich client is a desktop tool, auto schedule of reports as .csv is not possible, save as CSV and save as to "CSV Archive" from Rich Client is a manual job.
    BI launch pad, CMC are BOE Server components have the ability to auto schedule as .csv, as a default behavior column headers will be exported to CSV along with report data.
    As a workaround, have a copy of original wibi reports in your webi reports you have to hide table headers and schedule them to save as .csv
    To hide table headers:
    Edit the report -> Select table block properties -> Chose 'Format Table' -> Under 'General' properties 'Display' options un-check "Show table headers"

  • Creating a report in CSV format

    Hi experts,
    Can you please tell me how can i make a report in a csv format.

    You may run Report Builder to generate Delimited by run -> File -> Generate to File -> Delimited.
    Or use After Report Trigger to directly write to a file. Search this Forum for detail!

  • #ERROR message in report for date format conversion

    Dear Collegues,
    Why is it that I get #ERROR message (instead of date value) in my report when I use the formula
    =ToDate(UserResponse("Enter End Date:");"dd.MM.yyyy")   ??
    When I only write UserResponse("Enter End Date:") I get the appropriate date, f.ex 5/12/2009. This is american standard for 5th of may, I need to see it like 12/05/2009.
    If I try to just enter the date object behind the prompt ([Settlement Date]) i get message #MULTIVALUE even though I have promptet for 1 special date...
    Is there another formula I can use to get the right format? I can't adjust the format using properties, it doesn't make any difference, the settings I put in there.
    Regards Silje

    Thank you for the very quick answer! Using FormatDate() I get an error message while validating the formula:
    The expression or sub-expression at position 12 in the FormatDate function uses an invalid data type. (WIS 10037)
    I tried making a variable inside BO called [End Date] = userResponse("Enter End Date:") but I get the same error message then. Creating a variable you can only choose between Dimension, Measure and Detail, not Date. Is that some of the reason?
    Finally I tried FormatDate([Settlement Date]; "dd.MM.yyyy"). Validating the formula I get the message that the formula is correct, but in the report the field containes message #MULTIVALUE...

  • Saving a report with two  query providers into .csv format

    Hi,
    I have developed a webi report which has two query providers. I have linked the objects from these two queries at the report level using merged dimensions. the report is running fine. When I save it in EXCEL or PDF it saves the same report, but when I try to save the report in .CSV format, the output of the second query provided is getting appened at the bottom of the report.
    Has anyone encountered similar problem is so whats the solution for it.
    For me business wants the report to be saved as .csv only as it acts as a source file to other application.

    Hi
    please take a look at the explanation area in the following note
    https://css.wdf.sap.corp/sap/support/notes/1417382
    When saving Web Intelligence document as Excel format, the result is saved based on the report design.
    When saving Web Intelligence document as CSV format, all data in the Data Provider are saved.
    I believe that the behaviour you described is by design so there is not much to do about it. You can open a case by SAP support though asking if this changed in a later service pack (actual service pack version for XI R2 is SP 6).

  • Blank report export to CSV fails

    Using the latest version of Crystal Reports runtime for Java, I'm trying to export a blank report to character-separated values (CSV).  The export fails when I try to call PrintOutputController.export().  Specifically, code execution appears to halt after calling export(), i.e., the call appears to do nothing but hang indefinitely, without returning anything.
    Is this a bug?  Since exporting a blank report to CSV would produce a zero-length text file, could it be that the SDK is waiting for some buffer to be populated, but it never is?

    i just tried this in 12.2.212.x and it creates a blank csv file. How do you have ur blank blank report? A report without datasource, fields parameters or really anything or a report which gets 0 records back from DB?
    Thanks

  • Download Reports in CSV or pdf format

    Hi to all,
    i'm trying to download a report in CSV format that implicate the list of more than 400.000 users and their resource assigned.
    As i know, Sun IDM before generating this file is going to execute a task that return the list of this 400.000 users, and only after
    that IDM ask me with a window alert if i want to only to "View" or if i want to "Save" the CSV file.
    I noticed that in the moment that IDM is asking me if i want to save and where to save, i wasn't logged in IDM, so
    i'm able to see only the task that is executed with success and the list of users in the task but any CSV or request to save CSV file.
    Do you think that i need an open IDM session with the same IDM user that i execute the report in the moment to save the CSV?
    And what about the task that was already executed: how can i download the CSV without executing another time the task?
    Thanks in advance
    Best Regards

    I noticed that in the moment that IDM is asking me if i want to save
    and where to save, i wasn't logged in IDM, so i'm able to see only the
    task that is executed with success and the list of users in the task
    but any CSV or request to save CSV file.The following method converts a finished report to a string in CSV format:
      public static String printReportsAsCSV(String taskName, String sep, Locale locale)
        throws WavesetException {
        TaskManager tm = Server.getServer().getTaskManager();
        RepositoryResult er = tm.getExtendedResult(taskName, null);
        if(er != null && er.hasNext()) {
          ReportRenderer rend = new ReportRenderer(locale);
          StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer();
          while(er.hasNext()) {
            TaskResult tr = (TaskResult)er.next().getObject();
            WavesetResult res = tr.getResult();
            if(res != null && res.getResults() != null && res.getResults().size() > 0) {
              Report report = (Report)res.getResult("report");
              rend.renderToSeparatedText(report, sb, sep);
              return sb.toString();
        return null;
      }Usage example:
    System.out.println(printReportsAsCSV("All Admin Roles", ",", Locale.getDefault()));The report is stored in the repository as a TaskResult object, so you
    can also export it in XML form and process with XSL or something.

  • Proxy error when downloading report (IR) in csv format

    I'm getting the error below when downloading IR report in csv format. I'm getting that whenever the records is more than 108,000. Is there a limit in records to download? Is there a resolution.
    I am using apex 4.1, EXCEL 2010.
    Thanks,
    Pinky

    Since it is a text file it should have no limits within reason..
    See if you can recreate issue on Oracle's hosted site..
    Simple test, build a standard report on a table that has 101,000 rows and try downloading and then build a IR report on same table..

  • Error in exporting from Interactive Report to PDF format

    Hello,
    i am using APEX and from an Interactive Report i am trying to export using Download | PDF format. The table and corresponding report has only text fields. Database character set is UTF-8. Up to now i haven't been able to get a PDF file that can be open from Adobe Acrobat Reader. Every file fails opening with message like "Adobe Reader could not open filename.pdf, because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). This happens for every report i have tried up to now. If i export report in CSV format all are ok.
    Is there a known bug with PDF download of APEX?
    TIA

    See this link: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/html/configure_printing.html
    FOP & Cocoon are free (just need to install the software and configure) Bi Publisher I believe works only for Standard Reports and no Interactive reports at this time.. If you have the $$ BI Publisher is worth the investment!!
    Also, it is rumored that APEX 4.0 will have the PDF generation built in as apposed to the current model where you need to bolt something on..
