Block Activity types in Activity Scheduling Calendar

Hi,
We have a requirement in which only some of the Activity types needs to be synchronized to MSA calendar. I've maintained the customizations in CRM side (Trxn:SPRO) and now the activities are being blocked on Activity-->Calendar. But now the issue is that the blocked Activity types when created from Activity Scheduling is appearing over in the Activity Scheduling calendar. I've an analysis like if we can make the reference of the Calendar in Activity Scheduling to the same reference as that of the Activity calendar. Any pointers on this would be helpful

Dear Sujeet,
1.Work center and routing are also the master datas for PP Module.
2.Work center is the place at which the individual operations are carried out and its created using CR01.
3.Each work center will be linked to a cost center in the costing tab.
4.Before making this assignment, for a combination of cost center and activity type the activity per hour
rate will be maintained in KP26 for the periods.
5.If for the same activity type different rates are to be maintained means,then it can assigned to a
different cost center only.
6.One work center can be linked only to one cost center.
7.one cost centers can be linked to several work centers.
8.Cost centers will be created using KS01 and activity types using KL01.
9.While creating routing using CA01,for each operation a work center must be assigned.It means that
particular operation will be done in the mentioned work center.
10.Control key can be assigned either directly in the work center or else in the routing manually it can
be added or changed.
11.A control key tells the whether an operation is relevant to scheduling,costing,capacity
requirements,qualtity insepction characteristics.
12.Control key configuration can be made in OP67.
13.OP5A is for configuring the routing.
14.OPFA is for configuring the work center fields.

SAP Error Msg No. KP236, Cost Ctr 112233, act type AABB: Activity Schd. Act

Hi Experts,
When I do KSPI - Plan price calculation. I am getting the error message no KP236. Cost center 112233, activity type AAABBB: Activity<scheduled Activity. When I go to KP27 and see the detials for the cost center and for the activity type, I can see that there is some value present in the column Act. Scheduled which is greater than planned activity. How to make this Act. Sched column to Zero. I tried transaction KPSI, but this only copies the values from Act. Sched to planned activity. But I want to make the Activity Scheduled column to be Zero. Can anyone give me some pointers as in where to look to solve the issue?

Please read note 597159, specially point 7
"Planned activity < scheduled activity:
The calculation occurs with the scheduled activity instead of the planned activity or capacity. In the list of results, the
system issues error message KP236. The results are not updated, unless the "still post" indicator is set in the
settings for the price determination. See the long text of message KP 236 for further information (the same applies for
capacity instead of scheduled activity)."

How to add new row in KL02 trx - Activity type control data

Hi guys.
I am not a FI-CO consultant, but I want to add a row since KL02 transaction within a cost center, with a new fiscal year. When you access KL02 (change activity type), you set the activity type, then press Master Data and the basic screen appears. If you press the Display planning control button, you will see the "Display Activity Type Control Data" List. I wanna add a row for a specific cost center here, because the cost center I refer has not 2011 as fiscal year. I tried to use, since basic screen of KL02, use the Change planning control button, but when I set my cost center and 2011 as fiscal year, the Save button is inactive. Furthermore, I tried to press the Period screen and a message appeared "No data has been entered yet". So I dont know how to add one row for a cost center in the Planning control (Activity type control data) list of the KL02 transaction, specifically for an activity type. Do you know? Hi,
The list of cost centers in which the activity type is planned is given in KL02 under planning data. In order to add a new cost center to this, you need to enter the activity type in transaction KP26 for a particular year.
Goto transaction KP26
Give version - 0
from period 1 to 12
year - 2011
cost center - mention the cost center
Activity type - mention activity type
goto overview screen F5 and add the plan price for the activity in the cost center. This step will automatically add new row in the activity type control data.

How to delete a activity type from KP26 which has executed KSS2 and KSII?

Hi experts,
I maintain three activity type to one cost center by KP26
cost center 1:
   activity type 1
   activity type 2
   activity type 3
last month I run KSS2 to split the price and also run KSII, so these three activity already have actual cost.
This month I find activity type 3 should not be assigned to cost center 1, so I want to delete it from KP26 , but the system didn't let me to delete it , how to resolve this problem??
error message:
Costs already posted under cost element 6100016. No deletion possible   Message no. K8098
Under cost element 6100016 there is a splitting record. No deletion p          Message no. K8082
Plan values exist in other periods. No deletion possible.                                  Message no. K8085
Actual price for P111CN33/PMT001 already entered; Deletion not possib    Message no. K8184

Hi,
Please check the long text of these messages, it explains clearly. There are plan/actual dependent data existing for related cost elements, before deleting the records for cost center/activity type, all the dependent data must be deleted first.
1. Run RKACSHOW to check on those entries!! Please first ensure   COKA entries deleted. You may delete the COKA entries by
   executing the program RKPLNC18.
2. Subsequently, CSSL entries for cost centre and activity type,   use RKPLNC29 and then the actual CSSL entries with RKPLNC13.
3. You may use RKPLNC39 to delete a COKP records once the   no corresponding COKA exists.
4. COSS, COKS, COKP and COKL records could be deleted via KP06.
Please notice, that even if you reverse all postings for the relevant object, the records in the CO tables still exist even
if the balance value is 0.
These records prevent the deletion.

Activity Type at cost center

Hi All,
Is Activity types are used only at production cost centers or u can use for any material use in general, i mean, Say i ahve 2 machinerys, i spend bearings and oil for repairs, i called this activity as antifriction. i issue bearings and oil towards this activty to machinery cost center. now i want a report like how much cost i spend on antifriction activity for machine 1 & 2. How should i map my cost ceners to get this report. Can any body tell me what exactly activty types used for?

Activity types classify the activities produced in the cost centers within a controlling area. To plan and allocate the activities, the system records quantities that are measured in activity units. Activity quantities are valuated using a price (allocation price).
In Overhead Cost Controlling, costs based on the activity type are posted separately in fixed and variable portions. When you divide the activities of a cost center into activity types, you should consider whether the costs can be allocated effectively to the activity types.
You can plan, allocate, and control costs either at the activity type level of a cost center, or at the cost center level.
You can also assign the activity type of a cost center directly example: deprecitation postings.
You can assign one activity type, multiple activity types, or no activity types to a cost center.

There is plan in labour wise
because one labour is taking some amount
other labour is taking another amount like

You plan activity-dependent primary costs as follows on a cost center(s)/cost center group:
By cost element(s)/cost element group
Based on the activity type(s)/activity type group
This means that you can plan a fixed amount and a variable amount for your primary costs. Variable costs are the costs incurred in producing a given activity, proportional to the quantity of activity produced. You can calculate target costs based on the costs split and the operating rate (actual activity quantity related to the plan activity quantity). Target costs for costs planned by value are comprised of:
Plan fixed costs
Plan variable costs adapted to the actual operating level (= target costs of the actual operating level)
Example:
To produce 1000 hours of activity type FST, costs of $400,000 are required. This amount represents the variable costs. The portion of fixed costs, $200,000, is incurred irrespective of the activity quantity.
For activity-dependent costs, which are planned based on quantity, the following formulas apply:
Variable target quantity = Variable plan quantity X Operating rate
Fixed target costs = Fixed target quantity X Fixed price
+ Variable target quantity X Fixed price
+ Fixed target quantity X Variable price
Variable target costs = Variable target quantity X Variable price

I have confirmed activity via bapi BAPI_NETWORK_CONF_ADD, and it is picking activity type from activity. but i wants from HR mini master. In BAPI i am passing Personal no.

Activity Type and Cost Element Assignment wrong

The cost element appearing in Transaction code KP26
( Activity type planning), should come through the master data of the activity type.
What I am observing in my system, that for the combination of the Cost center and Actvity type , in KP26 the same cost element is not appearing as per the master data of Activity type. And also the cost element filed is gray. It is happening for 2008 financial year only.
How to correct this problem?
Is there ant note to be applied.?

This is normally a result of changing the CE while the Activity Type was active and in use (planned against and/or activity confirmed for some production orders).
One solution is to curtail the activity to the end of the period you are in and create a new one from the following period. Just beware that you may need to change the routings, splitting rules, etc. as well.

There are two ways .
If you wish to use the cost center number for any other cost center , then you need to delete the cost center by KS04 & you need to mention the future period for which the same should deleted, normally, starting would be 1st day of next year to 31.12.9999
Keep in mind, cost center can only be deleted , if no data (Actual/Plan/reversal) is posted in it. You may do it , before starting next year's budget processing.
If you wish to just block the same , lock Actual primary/Secondary & Plan primary/Secondary in the control tab.

Multi Resource Scheduling MRS - How to exclude certain Maint Activity Types

is there a way to exclude orders that have a specific maintenance activity type. We have standing work orders that in reality we should not have appear on the planning board. Well, we really shouldn't have any standing orders but we do.
Has anyone had this issue and been able to solve it. thanks, Linda

While a lot of MRS configuration includes maintenance activity type as a way to refine the circumstances in which something occurs (e.g., stretched assignments), that is not the case for defining which demands will be brought into MRS. However, while not positive, I believe "BAdI: Integration of Maintenance/Service Order with MRS (ERP)" can be used for this purpose.

"Activity type 420 1002 2393074 in the fiscal year 2010 not valid" PM03

We have an issue with the PM03 for the year 2010. "When the scheduler tries to schedule the pm..He gets an error "Activity type 420 1002 2393074 in the fiscal year 2010 not valid" The planner will close the work order then re-open it. The error will go away, but when the work order is scheduled there is 0 hours scheduled.. This will be a big issue if there are not any hours assigned to work orders.

Please maintain the prices for the activity type, Cost center combination for the fiscal year 2010 using transaction KP26. The log generally disappears after you save and leave the transaction. You will see the log again only when you reschedule the order and are in the same transaction.
Also check whether "scheduling" has been activated for the PM03 control key for scheduling to be taken into consideration for the operation.You can view the same by using the drop down for the control key on the transaction.

Thanks for your reply. In case of the formulas which we use in work centre. The values for calculating the formulas in case of Capacity and scheduling will they come from Operations assigned to the workcentre timings. In case of costing will they come from the activity type specified for them?

I have creat activity type & assign this activity type to work center in "ActTypeProc." IN KP26 , i maintain activity price & all other things but when i maintain this activity type & work center in WBS for respective internal activity system not shown me plan cost as well as when i confirm the activity system not shown me actual cost also. Pl gave some input on this

Hi nivruti,
check ur work center whether u have put formula sap008 in other formula in capacity tab page. in schedulling tab page formula sap004 . check whether in costing tab page ur entries are correct regarding activity type and cost center.
In activity type put * in cctr catagory , activity type catagory 1, give secondary cost element (this can b a reason of ur problem) in allocation cost element.
Apart from this also check costing variant whether actual and planned has been maintained properly or not.

KP26 activity type / price planning

After giving cost center , activity type , fiscal year and period ,
1) How system automatically proposes plan activity , capacity , Priced fixed etc values ? From where it gets data ?
2)How values entered in plan activity , capacity , fixed price , variable price , price unit , plan price indicator etc affect /calculate activity cost ?
I know SAP help is available , If some one can explain with examples it would be great help .
Let us say I have work center WKCN and I have maintained capacity , scheduling and costing tab . I have maintained plan activity as 102 , capacity as 108 , price fixed as 80 , price unit as 00001 ....Please explain how the next chain of events happen .

In KP26, activity pricing will done for the combination of labor cost center & activity type assigned in work center. Here activity price will be maintained on hour basis or day basis.
In task list or order, work hours will be given for the internal activity. Here for the internal operations, work center & activity type will be defined.
If work hours is 15 hrs & fixed price is 80 INR (as per your example), the total activity cost will be 1200 INR for order (15 x 80).
Price Unit
The price unit is 10 for activity type "Drilling" with unit "Hours".
The price applies to 10 hours of drilling.
The price unit is 1 for activity type "Drilling" with unit "Hours".
The price applies to 1 hours of drilling.
Plan Price Indicator
001:
The price of the activity type is determined automatically based on the planned activity and the planned costs required for this plan activity quantity.
002:
The variable portion of the price is calculated based on the plan activity quantity. To determine the fixed portion, the system uses the capacity and not the plan activity quantity.
