Block Customer Invoice in case EXCEED CREDIT LIMIT

Dear All,
Currently the system will prompt an WARNING message during FB70 if the customer have exceed the credit limit.  May I ask how to set it to ERROR message instead of WARNING message.

thats T-Code OVA8 (view for maintenance of automatic credit control).
For each combination of credit control area / risk. category / document credit group you can set the system behavior as A = warning message, B = error message,...

    Be careful when you are using credit reference customer as system will take the overall overdue items (both the customer and reference customer) into account during credit processing. If it is a functional requirement then only you should suggest this.

  • Customer Has Exceeded Credit Limit Question

    Hi
    At the moment when we raise an order for a customer with a credit limit it appears a warning message saying that the customer has exceeded his credit limit.
    This information is a bit misleading if the customer has yes exceeded his limit but only because the outstanding invoices are not due yet ie the Due Date may be 31st May 2010.
    Is there a way to combine the two information and inform the SAP user when the payments terms for invoices have been exceeded, not just the credit limit?

    Both the thing are different :
    1. Credit Limit is only for the Alert or you can block the further transaction .
    2. Next you are talking about the Aging report for the outstanding payments .
    So both having different aspects , you can not directly combine the both. But if you want then you can use some reporting tools .

  • Cst sales - blocking amount for c form in credit limit

    We are from India. When we sell goods for a customer in another state  we give the customer Central Sales Tax invoice which is 2% of the basic value. The customer has to give the company 'C' forms, which will be given with in 3 months after invoice. If he does not give, the company will be loss by 3% of the basic value. So my company wants us to block the 3% of the basic value in credit limit (in cumulative basis till the customer gives C form). Once we receive the 'c' form the blocked amount will be released.
    Kindly suggest us a solution.

    I hope you know how credit management works. As per standard credit management How can we block some percentage of invoice? I don't think so this is a good idea.
    You are saying that company would lose 3% if customer doesn't return C form. How would company lose 3%?
    Why don't you charge this 3% to customer and on return of C form you give credit note to customer. If he returns he'll be getting 3% off and if he doesn't return then company will lose 3% which it already had charged to customer. So company won't be losing anything.
    I dont know about legal or operational possibility of this in India. This is just an idea.

  • Credit management - one customer for two company, different credit limit

    hi,
    customer A in company 1000 and 2000. for example the total credit limit is $10000 for these two companies, customer A with individual limit 6000 in company 1000 and 4000 in company 2000. If i create sales order 1 with value is $7000, then message will  be displayed. however if i create sales order 2 with value $35000 , no message is dispalyed. Is it possible to display message is the total credit limit is over but not individual limit?
    And if i create a new customer , and create a sales order with over credit limit and the message is displayed when I save the sales order, but the value is not upated in credit master before i release Sales order. it only happen for the first time i create customer. pls advice

    Hello Jo Jo,
    it is not possible to check the sales order created in one company against the total
    credit limit for the customer . The system checks (in standard) always against the
    credit limit maintained for assigned company. The only one way could be to develop your own credit check (OVA8 - userexit 1, 2 or 3).
    The part with the credit blocked sales order is correct: if the sales order is credit blocked, it does not update the open credit values, as the credit value will be calculated according the confirmed quantities and the confirmed quantities will be removed in the sales order (in standard) due the credit block. When you release the order in VKM1 or VKM3, the ATP runs and creates the confirmed quantities - as the result the order updates the credit values in FD32.

    I am trying one approval for the Business partners for credit limit exceed.I have tried through standard Approval process by using the terms deviation from credit value as described but what should be done if  i need to set it for particular business partners.
    Also, in this standard query which i have tried i have defined the terms as :-
    Deviation from credit limit greater than or equal to 50,000 . I have set this terms for A/R Invoice. Now when i have made the invoice for rs.5000 then also it is asking for Approval.Since the Value is defined so system should not ask for approval.

  • How to raise customer invoice in case of third party sale from PS

    Dear All,
               In case of third party sale from project systems module, PR is raised which is further converted to PO and once the material reaches at client place GRN is done.Based upon the GRN the actual cost is booked to the project.How should I raise the customer invoice against the materials received by the customer?
    I went through the Forum and based upon the threads there, I came to know that one option is to  create sales order for the same items and do order based billings.But for this I have to enter the same materials items again in the Sales order which is nothing but duplicacy of data.
    Is there any alternative to this? Or some other way by which the PO line items be copied to sales order so that I can save time while creating sales order.

                       Business scenario is like this.
    I have created project and activities.Have assigned materials as 3rd party sale in NWA. I have released the project.PR are getting followed by PO.On doing the GR the actual costs are getting booked on NWA.
    My concern is how to bill the Items(the same material components) which are assigned to activity.
    As per your input I need to do Resource Related billing.Thanks for the input.It is no longer required to assign materials in DIP to Carry out RRB. 
    To carry out RRB do I need to create Sales Order first ? If  No then how to do RRB? If Yes  I need to create a Sales Order with all the material components which I have assigned at activity level. So I was looking for some alternative so that SO creation becomes less tedious.

  • Sales Order and Invoice qtty both consuming credit limit

    We are facing a problem where the credit limit is getting consumed by both the sales order as well as the subsequent invoice, thereby creating a double impact of one transaction. I ideally what should happen is that after invoicing the "Sales Value" field should get reduced and the "credit exposure" should get increased. However, in our system this is not happening. The net impact is explained by this example:
    Sales Order Value : 20000
    Invoicing: 0
    Credit Exposure 20000
    Sales Order Value 20000
    Invoicing : 20000
    Credit Exposire : 40000 - This is wrong. This sohuld be 20000

       What do u mean by invoicing value? Are you talking about 'Recievables'?
    In FD 32 credit exposure is the total of Recievables + Special liab + Sales value.
    1)After the creating the sale order the value 20000 will be updated under sales value. (Table S066)
    2)After creating delivery document the same 20000 will remains there only under sales value. (But internally table will be changed. This 20000 will get reduced from the table S066 and will update in S067 under 'open delivery' field)
    3) After creating invoice also the 20000 will remain there only under sales value. (But internally this 20000 will get reduced from 'open delivery field' and will update under 'open billing doc.' in same table S067)
    The above invoice value will remain there only until it is released to accounts. After releasing it to accounts the value 20000 will get reduced from 'sales value' and will update in 'recievables' in FD32.
    Total value in recievables is the value of the FI accounting documents for which payment is to be recieved. After recieving the payment this will be cleared off.
    Now tell me what are you comparing with? sales value and recievables or anything other?

    I want to block billing (A/R Invoice) of particular customer whose credit Limit exceed from the defined.
    I have discussed it with Partner he has done some settings but users are still generating the invoice for those particular customers.

    System has Standard Functionality to Block Invoice for Customers if Credit Limit has Exceeded.
    You need to Activate this Functionality from General Settings.from BP Tab and check Respective Document You want to Block.

    The credit limit for a customer is fixed at certain amount.Also credit period is fixed at a certain no of days say 30 days.Both these conditions are cumulative. Whichever happens earlier further sales to that particular customer should be blocked.How to set up this?I would like to know what changes should be made in business partner master data  or in any other window.Is it available insapB1 8.8 by default .Can this be done in sap B18.8 without coding ?

    Customer Activity Restrictions You can restrict the creation of sales documents for customers and prompt a warning message according to the following parameters:
    Credit Limit u2013 Checks whether adding the sales document for the customer causes deviation from the credit limit defined for the customer (Payment Terms tab in the Business Partner Master Data window).
    A warning message appears if <the customer's account balance> + <the amount of the current document> exceeds the customer's credit line.
    Commitment Limit u2013 Checks whether adding the sales document for the customer causes deviation from the commitment limit defined for the customer (Payment Terms tab in the Business Partner Master Data window).
    A warning message appears if <the customer's account balance>+ <the total amount in undeposited checks> + <the amount of the current document> exceeds the customer's commitment limit.
    Once you select the required option(s) described above, select the type of documents to which the restrictions apply and for which a warning message is launched:
    - A/R Invoice
    - Delivery
    - Sales Order
    These setting are updated immediately per company, for all users.

    Dear Venkata Chalapathi,
    Following is the logic for your requirement.
    If the check is on the basis of payment terms of pending billing documents alone, then
    check DYNAMIC with Reaction C/D and Status 'checked'
    Then maintain the same settings against OLDEST OPEN ITEM with Days oldestItem = 0
    Now, make a sales order and system will trigger the credit check message (assuming there are uncleared documents )
    Ask your abaper to find an Exit/Enhancement in this message spot and you can write a logic to check the
    billing documents in BSEG by fetching the document types with 'RV' (assuming we are considering only the billing documents)
    and in the VBRK get the billing date and we can get the payment term in vbrk-zterm and its corresponding date in T052-ZTAG1
    If the billing date + T052-ZTAG1 value is greater than SYSTEM date , then you have to trigger the credit check message in the sales order. Else allow the sales order.
    Check and revert back if there is any doubt/additional requirements.

    In my production server as well as quality server sales order is blocked for dynamic credit check.But the fact is that the credit limit is not exceeded.only 18% of the credit limit is used by the cutomer.The same problem is there in quality server also.

    Check whether the customer code has exceeded credit limit in any other credit control area.
    Run the following programs.
    RVKRED77 , RVKRED88 , F.28
    After credit re-organisation, please check again and revert back.
    Also would like to ask you whether you have made any recent changes in the credit master data [FD32].

  • Sales Order released even though Credit limit exceeded VKM1

    Hi,
    I have got a scenario where a Sales order has been released(Delivery,Invoicing has taken place) even though the credit limit of the Customer has exceeded.
    Steps:
    The user check the order from VKM1 (push button check and save), but he didn´t release it, then checking the order changes we found that it was released by his user number.
    The order at the begining was blocked but after running just the check it was released automaticly.
    Checking from OVAK the document type has Automatic credit control.
    On OVA8 the static check is activaded and also the open orders and open deliveries
    What could be the reasons as to release of Sales order even after exceeding Credit limit????

    Hi Randall,
    From your description it is clear that the sales order was released by the user unknowingly, so when ever you release sales order all the sudsequent documents (deliveries&billing) would be relesased. There is no fault with the process, the user would be hidding some facts, so there is no way out. If you want to block the order again, you make some changes at the delivery level or sale order level and save it, the sale order will be blocked again. Next time see that the release strategy should be restricted for the limited users only. This can be done by BASIS consultant.

  • Customer and customer group with different credit limit.

    we have customers belonging to a group. Every single Customer of the group must have its own credit limit and the group must have another credit limit too. Example.
    Customer 1: Limit u20AC 100.000
    Customer 2: Limit u20AC 350.000
    Customer 3: Limit u20AC 400.000
    Group 1: Limit u20AC 700.000
    I used the customer hierarchy and now each customer have the high-level customer "10000":
    Group 1 = Customer "10000" (Account Group 0012)
    so Customer 1 + customer 2 + customer 3  limit can not exceed limit group 1 (u20AC 700.000)
    How can fix ?

    in my system, each customer is paying, but the group 1 no. The credit limit is not shared but different. If CLI1 exceeds its limit, I lock the sales orders, but if an individual does not exceed the limit I have to check the sum of CLI1 CLI2 CLI3 exceeds the limit of u20AC 700,000.
    example:
    CLI1: Limit u20AC 100,000
    CLI1: credit exposure u20AC 55,000
    Group 1: Limit u20AC 700,000
    CLI1 CLI2 CLI3: credit exposure u20AC 670,000
    New Customer Order CLI1: value u20AC 35,000
    The sales order is blocked because it does not exceed the limit CLI1 (100,000 u20AC) but exceeds the limit of a Group (700,000 u20AC)
