Block order by instance locking of trackable items

We have a TSO setup in 11.5.9 and we have implemented with custom code the following check:
If a user tries to add a new order that references an installed item (in install base) that already has an open order it displays an error message and forbids the action.
I have been told that in 11.5.10 this check has been provided as standard functionality of the eBS. Does anyone know where can I find information about this check? (how it is implemented, etc.)
Thanks in advance

Rosarios said to use
<block_name.item_name>
This works ok assuming that the table name is the same as the block name
and the item name is the same as the column name
If this is not the case, you should use
<table.column>
or just <column>
If your block is based on a query (rather than a table) use the table alias
TABLE_ALIAS.COLUMN

  • CM25 and blocked order

    hello,
All the orders modified by the transaction CM25 remain blocked.
When we save the modifications we go out of the transaction CM25.
How to save regularly the orders modified without going out of the transaction?

There are a few things that you can try.  The first is to set the configuration to not lock the orders, or only lock them when changed.  This will decrease the impact of saving infrequently but it still throws you out of CM25 after save commits.  The other option is to set the configuration item that allows restricted planning but saving without leaving the transaction.  Both are specified in the control profile (OPDE).

  • Credit block orders transfer of requirements to SNP

    Hi Gurus,
I work on the Demand Planning stream, but i would like to know if APO SNP Heuristic would behave the same as R/3 regarding Credit Blocked orders.
in R/3 due to Requirement 101 in OVB8, the credit blocked sales orders do not get confirmed, yet they still send the requirements to MRP MD04.
what is the logic in SNP or PPDS for this, does a special requirement type gets generated in SNP, even though the Sales Order is not confirmed and not showing in APO DP?
    feedback appreciated
    regards

    Jeevi,
I will never recommend what Siva has mentioned. What it means is that
    1. The "Item" - Component will no longer be copied when a Production/Process/Planned order is created.
    2. System does not create any reservation for that material.
    3. If you need to Issue that material to an order, it will be "unplanned" Issue.
Hope you understood the problems associated with this.....I would suggest to go with Planning strategy "11". If it is external Procurement look at different MRP type.
Reward your points is these were helpful to you,

  • Sales Order creation/ change date for the items

I have a unique scenario and i need to get a Report for this
A sales order is created for 4 line items.
Out of these , for 2 line items a delivery is created. I need the sales order creation date and time  for these 2 items in a custom report
Now the other 2 items go in to some kind of block- Now these are released by going in the sales order VA02 and after releasing the delivery is created. Again for these two items , i need the sales order change date as after a user goes and changes the sales order to remove the block only then delivery is created for these two items
Also another scenario is the 2 line items go for back order and when we get stock  at tht time system confirms the stock and then the delivery is created for these. So also for this when this change occured i need to get the date for these 2 line items
Can any one please suggest how to get this data  from the scenarios?
I dont want to get the date when the delivery is created as i can get tht from the LIKP table. I need the sales order create and change dates for these.

You may be aware, any changes to a document will be recorded in CDHDR (for header changes) and CDPOS (for item changes).  You can explore these two tables.

  • Credit management not updated for the first credit blocked order only

    Hi experts,
    Pls help to solve. Thx.
Case: The first sales order is created against credit block because the credit limit is exceeded. In FD33, no credit data related to the first order indicates, i.e. credit limit used shows zero as well as sales value, credit exposure. In VKM1, the blocked order can be captured.
As long as the second order is created, the credit management can be updated. But, it still does not capture the data from the first order.
The sales orders I test have the same delivery date.
    Questions:
    1. Is the standard behavior for the dynamic credit check?
    2. If not, how to make credit management consider the first order data?
PS. In OVA8, update 000012 is applied while horizon is 4 months.

    Hello Jonathan,
After testing, I found credit management can consider the first order data if using 000018 only. Why 000012 cannot consider it?
I have checked the explanation for those two update groups by F4. I feel obscure about the explanation of sales order between them (see below).
    000012:
    Sales order
Increases open order value from delivery-relevant schedule lines
    000018:
    Sales order
    Increases open delivery value
By the  way, my testing data as below:
    1. were the two sales orders of the same document type? Answer: yes. Same document type, same customer, same delivery date, etc.
    2. were the item categories the same? if not, was one not relevant for credit check? Answer: Yes, the same.
    3. did the documents have the same value? if the second order had a lower value and was not blocked for credit, the exposure will be updated. Answer: yes, credit management can consider the second order data ONLY. It seems the first order have not been created if checking credit management.

  • Report generation for Delivery Blocked Orders

    Hi All,
I am trying to pull up a report which should contain only orders with the Delivery Block.
Through VL06O i can get the orders which need to PGIed, which are open, which are stuck in workflow and which have got delivery block.
So is it possible to separate the delivery blocked orders (from an end user point of view) from the other orders. I tried to have a look at the filters which i could put on the VL06O-> Outbound Deliv. for PGI, but couldn't find it.
can any one help in thi regard.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
Try report V.02 - Incomplete Orders

  • Export Control: list of blocked orders is incomplete (ENGK, RVEXAU03)

    Hi community,
I have a strange behaviour on the system.
We have activated the credit control some months ago. When there are some orders blocked by credit control, a collegue opens transaction ENGK and runs the report of blocked sales order (report RVEXAU03).
In normal case there isn't problem by doing this, but from time to time it happens, that a blocked order is not shown, although there hasn't been found a control license by the order.
I suppose that this behaviour depends on the date when the orders have been created or there are already created following documents (deliveries).
    Anyone any ideas?
    Christian

    dear friend,
you would check out those orders using t-code VKM1
regarding RVEXAU03 please make sure the select-option parameters are correct (especially Blocking reason checkboxes)
    good luck!

  • CO-PA, is credit management suppose to block orders from posting to CO-PA?

We are currently using CO-PA to track the $ amount of sales orders that were booked for a particular date range, and it will show the sales order created or changed and the $ amount that was added or taken away from the bookings for that day.  This report is to show management how much sales has been recorded for the day, but not necessarily shipped out yet.
What we are currently facing is problems with credit management blocking the order from posting into the CO-PA tables.  When the order is created and the order desk hits save it first goes through credit management, and if it is put onto the blocked order lists to be released it does not post the value that was created for that day into CO-PA.  Also when we run our rescheduling report for orders that have already been created the order can again go back and forth on and off credit hold, and each time it posts an entry into CO-PA.
I was wondering if anyone has been requested to have a report written to record bookings of sales for a particular day, and have you run into the issue of the credit management posting over and over onto the report and how do you get around this.
We just want to see if any new orders have been created for that day, if current orders have been added on to or taken off from, and have a report to show the order #, dollar value and quantities.
    Thank you,
    Karen Kim

    Dear Karen,
You cannot see blocked SD documents for credit check in CO-PA. Values are transfered to CO-PA after the sales order is processed or after the billing document is posted.  So if the sales order is not
processed because it is blocked for credit check, naturally it will not be transfered to COPA. The logic to exempt orders on credit hold was implemented in release 40A.
To overcome your problem you may implement the modification described in the note 214059. Please be aware that this is a modification note. Please implement in a development environment first and retest.
    regards

I'm getting the same problem. What happens on my server is that sometimes when a thread tries to print a stack trace, it gets stuck at "FileOutputStream.writeBytes". All other threads will then stop at "printStackTrace" when they try to synchronize on the System.err, like yours. I have no idea why this is happening. However, I don't use weblogic or ejb, so it seems to be a more basic issue. As a workaround, I'm considering to set a custom System.err that writes all its output to a queue which then in turn gets written to the real System.err by a separate thread. That way, the worst that can happen is that that separate thread gets stuck.
This is quite annoying but I'm not sure if we have enough information yet to file a bug. I can't reproduce it yet. My server sometimes runs for weeks without this problem happening...
If anyone has updates on this, that would be much appreciated.
    My system:
Java: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.6.0_02-b05, mixed mode)
    OS: Debian 4.0

  • Sales order delete and rejecting the line items

    Hi,
1 )What is the difference between deleting a sales order and rejecting all the line items of a sales order.
    2) Are there any pre-conditions for deleting a sales order.
    3) why there is a need to reject line items of a sales order
    regards

What is the difference between deleting a sales order and rejecting
If you delete a sale order, you cannot retrieve it or view it.  On the other hand, if you reject any sale order, at any point of time, you can retrieve that sale order and analyse as to why it has been rejected.
Are there any pre-conditions for deleting a sales order.
Certainly not.  Its all depends on the discretion of the user.  Of course, you cannot delete a sale order if any subsequent document exists.
why there is a need to reject line items of a sales order
Customer has placed an order and at a later date, due to some reason, they have asked the client not to proceed with production against that sale order.  Now if the Management decides to track such of those sale orders, you can assign reason for rejection and have it in system for record purpose.
    thanks

  • FSCM and blocked orders

    HI,
Can any one tell me how to process blocked orders when FSCM is implemented? Here is some background about this.
      1) One functional consultant told me that when FSCM is
activated VKM1 can no longer be used to process/release
          blocked orders.
      2) You need to use business package for credit manager to
          process these business packages.
I am a portal person and I was asked to implement this business package on portal. It is hard to believe that for one process we need to use a business package.
To sum up my question, can VKM1 or any other transaction be used to prorcess blocked orders when FSCM is implemented? Do you need portal to do this?
I am not really sure if this is the right forum. Please point me to right forum if this is not.
    Regards
    Pallayya

If you are using SD (sales and distribution) module, you can still continue to use VKM1. It will not be deactivated.
But in the case, where your company does not have SD, then your portal will come in handy for this screen.

  • Release blocked orders using sap mail

    Hi Gurus,
How can I configure SAP that will forward all blocked orders (due to credit management) to sap mail without using workflow functionality?  At the same time, the approver can release the block in sap mail.
    Thanks,
    Paul

    Hi john paul
Assign KRML output type and maintain conditon record VV11 and use Internal mail (if internal mail is used) or External mail(If it is external mail is used) But the system will ask for personnel number while creating conditon record. If you have integrated with HR module then you tell them to create a personnel in your company code and while maintaining condition record VV11 assign that Personnel number (Internal or external mail), So once the sales order exceeds credit limit and gets blocked a mail will go to the Personnel number you assigned in the KRML condition record. The Personnel number you assigned in the KRML condition record  will reply back and then you can release the order and do delivery and billing

  • Blocked Order and Credit Exposure

    Hi,
Does the blocked order form a part of Credit Exposure?
Is there some config in which you can define this...
    Thanks

    hello, friend.
yes and no.  it depends on the update group you choose when you do credit management settings in OVA8.
i tried using update 000012.  when order is blocked and saved, exposure is not increased;  exposure is increased only when you release the blocked order.  when i tried 000018, blocked orders saved do update credit exposure.
however, please do test in your system as well.
    regards.
