Block some A/P documents

Hello my friends,
Since Business One HR module isn't very strong, we've thought of a different solution for paying our employees.
We have a Business Partner called Paycheck. Every month we create and A/P Invoice for this BP, with the total of the paychecks.
Then, we do the down payments one by one, for every employee, like a regular outgoing payment.
The problem is we have user A doing this paycheck payments, but we have user B doing regular payments. And user B shouldn't be able to see the paychecks.
I've tried creating document series, but what happens is User B can't create any outgoing payments in the paychek series, but he can see the ones created by user A. I've talked to SAP Support and this a standard feature, so it's not a bug.
I'm not sure if I made myself very clear, but I really need this. Does any one have another idea?
Thanks!!

Vikas,
The problem is not the paycheck invoices, the problem is the down payment. The user shouldn't see down payments made by other user.

    Some files in "DOCUMENTS" icon in dock won't open. Get msg saying "You need a newer version of Pages to open this document." Already have Pages 4.1 installed.  Same files will open ok from Finder/Pages App./selected file. Prob not noted until recently after sync'd with ipad2 (Pages) when I installed iOS5. Anyone-- please?!

    You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
    Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
    Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
    You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
    Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
    Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
    Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
    Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
    Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
    All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
    Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
    Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

  • I have an issue with some PDF documents   some MS Office documents, notably MS Word when received in eMail as attachments not displaying on iPhones, iPad 2s

    Hi,
    I have an issue with some PDF documents & some MS Office documents, notably MS Word when received in eMail as attachments not displaying properly on iPhones, iPad 2s & new iPads?
    PDF docs - areas of the doc only show as grey splotches regardles of viewer
    MS Word Docs -
    inserted graphics don't display at all,
    tables & lists especially with borders are broken &
    tables & lists missing the borders &
    tables & lists missing the 1st 1-2 lines of the lists/tables.
    This is replicated on iPhone 4s, iPhone 4Ss, iPad 2s, iPad new (x2)
    It certainly happens in iOS 5.1.1 & iOS 5.1
    We believe it all worked aok in iOS 5.0.1(?) & prior
    There is no problems reading/seeing these PDF & Word docs on anything other than iDevices.
    This is rather critical for us & if not quickly fixed/rectified will prevent us from further purchases of these devices
    Rolling back to iOS 5.0.1 or prior I believe isn't possible because of the BaseBand update(?) & isn't much of an option because of the quite noticeable Battery/Charging/WiFi improvements in 5.1 & 5.1.1

    Hi,
    I logged a call with AppleCare & have since had explained why this occurs (some time ago)
    I'll try to explain what was indicated to me.
    iOS has a limited Font Set & this affects what PDFs can display. You need to use iOS supported fonts in your PDFs to see/read them properly
    These supported fonts are indicated here => http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4980
    Regards MS office docs, iOS doesn't have much of an API to work with MS Office documents at all so is stuck with 3rd Party Apps to try to do it.
    Unfortunately Mail in/on iOS uses the API to attempt to open/use MS Office attachments unless you tell it to use an App to open the attachment.
    I have had success opening & reading MS office docs now with CloudOn, but find it slow & very awkward to use.
    Not too sure if this helps others, but at least it explains why this is occurring

    So I've been trying to open some Microsoft Word Documents and it says it can't be opened because PowerPC applications are no longer supported. What do I do about this?

    Workarounds:
    1.  Restore the OS X that you formerly used to run Word 2004;
    2.  Partition your hard drive or attach an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard (and Rosetta) so that you can "dual-boot" into Microsoft Word 2004;
    3.  Upgrade to Word 2011 or use an alternative program; or
    4.  The solution I use: Install Snow Leopard (and Rosetta) into Parallels 7 or 8:

  • The appearence of tables in some Word 2010 documents changes after KB2880529

    I wanted to alert you that, since our company has applied
    KB2880529, some users are reporting Word 2010 documents (docx) having their appearence changed.
    More precisely, the issue concern the table inserted in the Word document : They are all messed up. For exemple, the begining of the table can look ok, then a few lines of the table are
    badly miss aligned (like moved 2 cm to the right), then you've got a few normal lines, then again several bads, and so on.
    Also, some of the cells, that were in the last column of the table, may appear half outside of the table.
    And the worse part is that, even if you take some time to manualy fix the table, when you save the document and re-open it, everything is bad again, and exactly as it was before... so basicaly
    the save doesn't work for the tables (it work if you change some text in the table, but not for the table itself (size of the columns, location of the columns, so on)).
    I can't profite any file because they are of a very sensitive nature and can't leave our company, even if I remove most of the content, our IT security doesn't allow it.
    Anyway :
    - we are absolutly sure it's
    KB2880529 that does that because when we uninstall the KB, and re-open the document, it look normal again.
    - it seems to concern only documents that were created using some old Word 2003 templates some time ago, and then opened in Word 2010. As far as I know it doesn't happens on 100% Word 2010
    documents.
    So, we are currently doing a package installed by SCCM 2012 in order to uninstall it on all the PC which received it a few days ago.
    Let's hope you'll correct that issue... and if possible that, in a near futur, you'll had a feature in SCCM 2012 to allow us to unintall KBs, like it was possible with WSUS.

    I'm sure there are some ways to fix the files one by one. Indeed, our tests indicate that it's possible, for exemple, to open them in "LibreOffice 4.2" (a fork of OpenOffice), which displays them correctly, and then save the file in .doc and then use
    Office 2010 to open this .doc and save it in .docx.
    But what I've forget to indicate is that the issue touch probably thousands of documents that have been placed in a "document management application" (I'm not sure how to correctly translate) over the years, documents that may be hundreds of users need to
    look at, for reference, from time to time... but basicaly the documents are "frozen" / archived, they must not be edited by anybody.
    I very much doubt you can expect MS to not apply updates, including via the next Service Pack, just because some tables in some of your documents are corrupt. Besides which, the same problem will quite likely resurface when you next upgrade to a newer version
    of Office. Ultimately, someone is going to have to check out all the documents with tables and verify their content. The scope of that project might be narrowed down after you've checked a few documents and found some common features between those with the
    corrupt tables. It's easy enough to write a macro to test the files to see which ones have tables. That can serve as the first step in narrowing the scope of the project. It's also possible have the macro that repairs the files restore their
    original time/date stamps if that's important.
    An entirely different approach would be to temporarily uninstall the update on one PC. Then use that PC to convert all the documents to PDF. Then use the PDFs in the "document management application". Since the documents "must not be edited by anybody" the
    PDF format is inherently more secure in that regard and can have security attributes set to prevent printing and/or content copying. The PDF format is also impervious to Word's tendency to change document layouts whenever you do little things like updating
    printers or changing between doc & docx formats.

  • Some Adobe PDF documents don't print from Adobe Reader; with other software it works correctly

    Dear community,
    I'm facing the problem that some Adobe PDF documents with lots of colors and lines (size less than 3 MB) don't print on our printers from Adobe Reader XI.
    The same files when opened with PDF XChange or PDF Architect are printed out without problems.
    How can I provide an Adobe Reader that is able to do so? Any recommendations about solving the issue are very appreciated.
    Best regards

  • SA 520 blocking some URLs and IM

    I have an SA520 that is configured with 3 NAT rules in firewall. These rules allow a local server to be exposed for 3 specific services. Everything else is disabled. There is no content filtering for example.
    The problem: None of our users are able to use Windows Live Messenger or access certain sites such as www.hotmail.com.
    I suspect the device is blocking URLs that redirect. I see that hotmail.com is redirected to a mail.live.com.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks very much.

    I think you are trying to expose some services in the LAN to the outside world
    If that is the case, instead of creating FW rules from "
    /* Style Definitions */
    table.MsoNormalTable
    {mso-style-name:"Table Normal";
    mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0;
    mso-tstyle-colband-size:0;

    mso-style-priority:99;
    mso-style-qformat:yes;
    mso-style-parent:"";

    mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri;
    mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin;
    mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri;
    mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;
    mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman";
    mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;}
    INSECURE WAN -> SECURE LAN"
    you should create FW rules from "
    /* Style Definitions */
    table.MsoNormalTable
    {mso-style-name:"Table Normal";
    mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0;
    mso-tstyle-colband-size:0;
    mso-style-noshow:yes;
    mso-style-priority:99;
    mso-style-qformat:yes;
    mso-style-parent:"";
    mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt;
    mso-para-margin:0in;
    mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt;
    mso-pagination:widow-orphan;
    font-size:11.0pt;
    font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";
    mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri;
    mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin;
    mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri;
    mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;
    mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman";
    mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;}
    SECURE LAN ->INSECURE WAN"
    Otherwise, you will block some traffic from the outside world to the LAN

    I cannot block some advertisements in the journal De Telegraaf, in The Netherlands. When I move the mouse to blokkeren (Dutch) this blokkeren disappers. How to solve it? edit

    You cannot boot an iBook from an external USB drive--only a firewire drive. Actually, the drive is just a drive--it is the enclosure that determines USB vs. FireWire. If you could find an appropriate firewire enclosure, you could remove the drive from the USB enclosure and place it in a firewire enclosure and then be able to boot from that. Or you could just purchase an external firewire drive if those are available where you are.
    FireWire external drives are quite useful. One option would be to mount the external drive on the good iBook, format it properly for OS X with Disk Utility, and then use a program like Super Duper to make an exact clone of your internal hard drive. This is a popular way of backing up your stuff. You can boot from either the internal or the external. This means that if your internal hard drive were to die, you would have all your stuff on the external, and could run off of that. Since you are already using the USB for backup, it would probably be best to acquire a new firewire drive for troubleshooting and testing if you decide to go this route, since you really don't want to lose your existing backup.
    If you did have a bootable clone, you could see if the sick iBook would boot from it or not. However, it may be more productive to pursue your other thread about the boot problem. I see that Richard has joined the thread as I had hoped he would. He actually works on iBooks and is very knowledgeable.
    Also, if you do get the second ibook working and want to install OS9, you might want to post a question in the "Mac OS X v 10.3 Panther and earlier" forum. I'm not up on this myself, but I believe there is something about installing OS 9 drivers while formating or something like that. I believe the smart guys on that forum could give you some guidance so that you can avoid the problems you encountered earlier.
    Good luck!

  • Process blocked sales and distribution documents from the SAPoffice inbox

    Hi,
    I know VKM1/VKM3 can be used to release order.
    And SAP help shows we can process blocked sales and distribution documents from the SAPoffice inbox. Could anyone tell me how?
    I can use output type KRML to send a mail to SAPoffice inbox, but don't know how to release blocked sales orders in the SAPoffice inbox.
    Many Thanks
    Jean

    Hello Jean,
    Release the blocked document directly via mail received:
    - After carry out the step  4 in note 677377, you will be able to
      release the blocked document directly by:
      Display the SAP office mail recieved;
      Menu: Document -> Execute;
      Then you will be redirected to transaction vkm3, with the blocked
      document number defaulted on that screen;
    Unfortunately, it is not possible to direct your mails to Outlook
    and release the document from VKM3.
    Best regards,

  • Block some parameter in control indicater setting

    Hi Experts,
    I would like to block some parameters in control indicator of inspection characters to make them can only be displayed, how can I realize it?
    Because sometimes I ticked the parameter in control indicator by accident when I maintain characters in inspection plan, so I would like to block the parameter or make a checking before saving inspection plan, so the wrongly setting of character in inspection plan can be avoided. Can anyone help me or give me a suggestion?
    Thanks & Best regards,
    Benny

    Hi gajesh,
    Thanks for your suggestion,  I really appreciate it.
    I know this standard way, but it can not fulfill our requirement completely, you know, if I use the reference MIC, I can not even change any other paremeters not only in control indicator but also other settings.
    So what I am looking for is blocking only one field in control indicator, I think there is no standard way, I tried to find a user exit to pop-up a warning message when user try to maintain the 'destructive' parameter, but seems no one can meet this.
    Can you pls suggest another way?
    Thank you very much.
