Blocked Windows (Bizspark) keys

I have some problems with Windows (Bizspark) keys. A few weeks ago I generated one key for Win 8, one for 7 and one for XP. Save these 3 keys I haven't generated any other keys for any other products and there are no other members registered in my Bizspark
account.
Unfortunately all those Windows versions report the respective keys as "blocked" and I'm not able to activate them after the installations.
What could be the reason? I contacted the MSDN support and they confirmed this: these keys haven't been used for activation so far. The case was "escalated" on the 13th Feb and I'm being told we are still waiting for Microsoft/Bizspark to investigate
it.
Is there anything else one can do to (help to) resolve this? I did write directly to bizspark@... on the 16th, 25th Feb and on the 3rd Mar and haven't received any answers.
Btw, another question: the "My Bizspark" page in my account says I can define/add up to 4 members whereas every FAQ and support page states it's 8. Which one is correct?

    I have purchased this HP envy laptop (15-j050tx) and somehow I lost my recovery partition. Now I did a clean installation of Windows 8.1 (64-but) using Windows Media recovery tool but it is not accepting the serial Key embedded in BIOS / Motherboard. Windows is telling me that my recovery key is blocked. Yesterday talking to a Microsoft agent he told me that my windows serial key is blocked by manufacturer (HP). I donot know why HP blocked my serial key. I want to use embedded windows serial or when I install other software (Windows 8.1 Pro) downloaded from my university MSDN link it does not work and my system always fall in problems (may be getting a conflict with motherboard serial key or something else).     For a KMShost with the OS=WS2012R2, you cannot, and, there is no need to, install any other Windows KMShost keys. The WS2012R2 KMShost key, by itself, will activate the KMShost OS, and will also enable the issuing of activations for ALL Windows KMSclients.
    Office KMS features are different, and do need to be installed for Office KMSclient activations.
    The error you are experiencing is expected, and is a result of your attempt to perform an unnecessary configuration step.

  • Windows 8 Key Issue

    Here's my problem.  Windows 8 came preinstalled on my computer; however, I accidently deleted the Windows 8 key from the bios and now Windows keeps asking me to enter the correct key.  Since there is no longer a sticker with the key included with the computer I have no way of finding the key.  Does HP keep a record of the keys tagged to the serial number?  Or am I just out of luck?
      I called HP Support about this and they told me to get the key off the CDs which were included with the computer.  When I told him there were no CDs, he said I had bought a used computer mascarading as new because all of their computers ship with Windows CDs.  When I disputed this he said that Microsoft could solve the issue for me.  Microsoft said that HP could solve it.  Can anyone help me?  I'd rather not spend money on buying Windows 8

    HP does not retain records of the keys issued .  HP also does not ship Windows CD's with the computers unless they were specifically ordered.  If you have somehow deleted the key then you are out of luck, sorry.

    Kind of. You can block the Chat web category and that will block HTTP access to Chat related sites. This will 'help' prevent the downloading of such software, though if the installers are on a site like download.com, the clients will still be able to download it.
    Once the software is already on the computer (installed previously, from an alternate download site, installed from a thumb drive, so forth), the chat software will most likely NOT use HTTP for communication with its servers. Which means the chat traffic will bypass the WSA and not be blockable.
    The WSA will support these native chat protocols in the future.

    Usually you had to create an Toshiba Recovery disk in the past in order to install Windows system in case something would go wrong with the HDD or preinstalled OS.
    The Recovery Disk contains already activated system and therefore the Windows 8 key isnt necessary in such cases.
    If you did create the recovery disk in the past, you can order such disks from the page posted by Keany.
    If you want to install Win 8 using original Microsoft Win 8 installation disk, then you have to use the Win 8 serial key belonging to this medium.

    if your talking about Windows OS (Windows XP, Windows 7, etc.) you don't need to do anything. Windows Batch files, Virus, Malware, Executables, etc wont run in Mac OS, (but they could be a problem if you happened to have Windows installed AND running on your Mac at the time of the incident.)

    If you bought  a notebook with Windows 8, there are no product key stickers anymore.
    The key is now digitally encoded in the BIOS.

    Windows Program Compatibility mode is on. Turn it off and then try Setup again.
    Compatibility tab on the setup VS_VmSdk.exe shows compatibility mode is off.  No variation of settings on that tab have any effect.
    Is there any way to bypass the compatiblity check on Windows 10 Tech Preview?

    Thank you for taking the time to submit this issue to Connect. This is a known issue with Windows 8.1 RTM and it will be addressed in a future update of Windows 8.1. In the meantime, you can typically rename the EXE to get it to work correctly.

    On the other Hand Adobe explicitly allows a second Installation on another Computer with the same license. No word abot having the same Operation System. And when you look to Amazon, their offer both, 12 and 13 as a Win/Mac Combo License - but Adobe doesn't. That's Stange, isn't it?

So you can't use them in the ABAP workbench.     I've got a Lenovo Thinkpad X131e with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit und a option for Win 8 with some win 8 recovery disks (but i only need win 7).
    Some weeks ago I installed a SSD and installed a Windows 7 Pro .iso from the internet. I read that the bios got a back up of the Windows activation key and the activation goes automatically but this was a fail...
    Some days ago windows suddenly asks for a activation key and I dont know where is should get this key. Under the battery is no key and I get the oem key from the bios with a tool but the windows-activation only say: "This is a windows-standard-key....and not for activating Windows 7 Professional 64bit".
    I hope somebody can help me with this confusing activation of windows. My last chance is to install win 8 with the recovery disks and maybe downgrade to win 7 but i want to avoid this step.

    fresh Windows reduction for auto activation from the BIOS SLIC should be OEM. Perhaps your .iso is retail one. Reinstall OS from the same image but before you'll perform that ask google about ei.cfg file within .iso, what is it for and how it could help.
    It's impossible to manually activate Windows using the key from the BIOS.
    Why do not clone your image from the HDD to the new SSD if you still have it?
