Blocking row navigation during validation error

Hi Experts,
I'm using jDev 11.1.2.4.0
I'm trying to find the property blockRowNavigationOnError, but it doens't exists on my jDev version.
Anyone knows an alternative to this property?
What I want to accomplish is:
          - the field it's blocked after the user inserting invalid data, but it's allowed to select other rows. I want to fix the selected row where the data is invalid.
Thanks!
Regards.

    Amar,
    I am little confused with your logic here.....
    but if you are trying to remove the row by clicking Remove button, you can set the immediate property to true and that remove function will run without executing any entity validation.......

    Hello jaden,
    Please edit tip.properties as follows and restart b2b. The log file will be generated at OH/ip/log/b2b/b2b.log.
    oracle.tip.LogType=text
    b2b.oracle.tip.DiagnosticLevel.B2B=DEBUG
    Make sure the delimiter used as part of configuring the document, i.e Document Protocol parameters are appropriate. The document might have validated in the spec builder as the delimter which is defined there might be different.
    Please setup a quick call if you still face issues.

  • Possible bug: validation errors raise at table row and current row is lost

    Hi everybody,
    I've just implemented a simple test case against the HR schema:
    1. Create Business Components from Tables: choose only Employees. That will generate Employees EO, EmployeesView VO, associations, viewlinks and AppModule with the following hierarchy: EmployeesView1 > EmployeesView2
    2. Create a simple page with an ADF Table based on EmployeesView1.
    3. Surround af:table with af:panelCollection
    4. Add toolbar buttons to the af:panelCollection "toolbar" facet:
    <f:facet name="toolbar">
      <af:toolbar id="t2">
        <af:commandToolbarButton actionListener="#{bindings.CreateInsert.execute}" text="CreateInsert" disabled="#{!bindings.CreateInsert.enabled}" id="ctb1" partialTriggers="t1"/>
        <af:commandToolbarButton actionListener="#{bindings.Delete.execute}" text="Delete" disabled="#{!bindings.Delete.enabled}" id="ctb2" partialTriggers="t1"/>
      </af:toolbar>
    </f:facet>5. Create a af:panelGroupLayout that encloses everything under af:form
    <af:document id="d1" title="Employees">
      <af:messages id="m1"/>
      <af:form id="f1">
        <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl1" partialTriggers="pc1:ctb1 pc1:ctb2">
    ...6. Delete the LastName field for any row in the table and click anywhere on the next row in the table. This will raise a mandatory field validation error. At this point, the selected row is the one you've just clicked on, but the focus (mouse cursor) is in the LastName field that raised the error.
    7. Fill in the LastName field. Don't click on it; just write something, as the field is already focused.
    8. Click the CreateInsert button
    Result: The current row is still the one you clicked on before, not the newly created row. If you click on this new row to fill in its fields, validation errors raise for every mandatory field.
    I'd appreciate any help on this. I can send you the test case if necessary.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
    We have a strange problem, recently we have upgraded our server from XI 3.0 to PI 7.1 and after the upgrade

    I am getting the error "Error during validation of the dependencies of the selected hot fixes" during the check queue phase and I am not able to go ahead..

    I am sure that what ever the files I am trying to deploy are correct because these are instructed by SAP.
    I guess I have some problem with my JSPM.
    Please help me.
    Thanking you in advance.

    Hi,
    There is no SDM in NW 7.1. All the deployments have to be carried out by JSPM itself.
    Sonali - Can you check the JSPM logs and give complete log ?
    Also can u mention the SDA file names ?
    Are they standard SAP SDA files or custom files ?
    Cheers......,

  • Error during validating Project Mgmt Templ. in Item

    Hi Gurus,
    I am working with PPM 5.0 and facing an issue while creating a Project from Project template that is assigned to an Item type. In Item detail screen, when I click on "Create Project on saving" check-box and select a particular Project Template, I am getting message "Error during validation of Project management template".
    Following are the IMG activities I have done:
    (1) Define Portfolio Item type:
    - Link to Project system = Portfolio and Project Management
    - NoAutoPro = " "
    (2) Map Item type to Project Templates:
    - Item type to Project template = I have mapped two Project Mgmt templates to one Item type
    - Item type to Project type = mapped accordingly
    (3) In Base System Interfaces -> Application Object Settings -> Define Object Link Types:
    - For all 0RPM* objects, I have mentioned Logical and Destination system as newly created Logical system which is already assigned to system client.
    After doing these settings also I am facing the above mentioned error.
    Can anyone please guide me where I am going wrong?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ravi,
    Considering above mentioned Object link grouping, I also made the changes in DFM.
    Following is the screenshot showing same. Unfortunately still no luck.

  • Detecting validation errors during accept processing

    I have a page with the following accept processing components
    1. Process - On Submit - Before computations and validations
    2. A validation
    3. Process - On Submit - After computations and validations
    When the page is first submitted, (1) runs fine. (2) runs and the validation fails so (3) doesn't run.
    Now when I re-submit the page, I would like (1) to NOT run.
    Is there a way to detect that the page is being re-submitted as a result of validation errors and hence suppress certain after-submit components from executing?
    [As far as I know, the "Inline validation errors" declarative condition and the g_inline_validation_error_cnt variable only apply during the page rendering phase, so they can't be used here]
    Thanks

    Hello Vikas,
    In version 3.0 you can use a hidden item as a flag, and set this flag with a on load procedure (and NOT computation). The first procedure will be conditioned by "Inline Validation Errors Displayed" and the second one with "NO Inline Validation Errors Displayed". Then you can condition your after submit processes with this flag.
    >>As far as I know, the "Inline validation errors" declarative condition and the g_inline_validation_error_cnt variable only apply during the page rendering phase, so they can't be used here
    A little test on my local instance confirm this.

  • FND_FLEX_SERVER validation error during Requisition Creation

    Has anyone encountered this inconsistent issue FND_FLEX_SERVER validation error (something related to account generator) at the time of creating requisition in iProcurement? I'm getting nowhere with my SR. Oracle wants me to provide a log of the error, but, I cannot get one unless I can re-create it (which I have been unable to do so far)!
    But, I have atleast 3 such errors reported by the users. It is very frustrating.
    Any pointers, or help will be very much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Utsav
    Our users are entering the correct accounts. I do not believe this is due to charge account. It is intermittent, and that is what is very frustrating. Our users have to keep logging off and logging back in and try again and sometime, it clicks!!
    The most unfortunate thing about this is that it is also difficult to get the log of the statement being executed by OAF at that time. We have to turn on the tracing on the screen and by the time we get to the point where the error appears, the log is some 600 pages and cannot be cut and pasted into a document.
    Any assistance?
    Thanks

  • Validation error while trying to change a value in a request scope bean

    - JBoss 4.2.3.GA
    - JSF 1.2_09-b01-BETA1 (Mojarra)
    - Java 5 Update 17
    Hello, everybody!
    I'm having the following problem in my JSF web application:
    I have a request scope backing bean. The first time this bean is loaded (I check
    this with the ResponseStateManager.isPostBack() method) I fill a list of SelectItem
    instances that are to be displayed in the JSF page in a +<h:selectOneMenu>+ component.
    The list goes, of course, to the +<h:selectOneMenu>+'s +<f:selectItems>+ facet child
    component. In the constructor I also define the value that goes to the value property
    of the +<h:selectOneMenu>+ component. This value is a property in the backing bean, as
    is the list of SelectItem instances. Until now we have something like this:
    The backing bean declaration in faces-config.xml:
    <managed-bean>
        <managed-bean-name>solicitacaoGeral</managed-bean-name>
        <managed-bean-class>br.urca.solicitacoes.web.PaginaSolicitacaoGeral</managed-bean-class>
        <managed-bean-scope>request</managed-bean-scope>
    </managed-bean>
    The relevant parts of the JSF page:
    <h:form id="form">
        <h:selectOneMenu value="#{solicitacaoGeral.setorOrigem}" id="foco">
            <f:selectItems value="#{solicitacaoGeral.setoresOrigem}" />
        </h:selectOneMenu>
    </h:form>
    The relevant parts of the backing bean class:
    public class PaginaSolicitacaoGeral
        private final List<SelectItem> fSetoresOrigem = new ArrayList<SelectItem>();
        private Setor fSetorOrigem;
        public PaginaSolicitacaoGeral()
            if (primeiraExibicao()) // First load (!ResponseStateManager.isPostBack())
                // Fill fSetoresOrigem...
                fSetorOrigem = ...
            else // Page submitted
                // Read below...
        public List<SelectItem> getSetoresOrigem()
            return fSetoresOrigem;
        public Setor getSetorOrigem()
            return fSetorOrigem;
        public void setSetorOrigem(Setor setorOrigem)
            fSetorOrigem = setorOrigem;
        private boolean primeiraExibicao()
            String idFerramentaExibicao =
                FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getViewRoot().getRenderKitId();
            ResponseStateManager gerenciadorEstadoResposta =
                RenderKitUtils.getResponseStateManager(
                FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(), idFerramentaExibicao);
            return !gerenciadorEstadoResposta.isPostback(
                FacesContext.getCurrentInstance());
    }But when the user submits the form and the bean constructor is called again
    (this time the method ResponseStateManager.isPostBack() returns true ),
    in the else block in the constructor above, I need to fill fSetoresOrigem with
    other values and also the fSetorOrigem field because, of course, the fSetorOrigem
    field has to be a valid value that exists in the new fSetoresOrigem list.
    JSF is not complaining about the change to the list items, but it is complaining
    to the change to the fSetorOrigem field (the list value), even though it is a
    valid value present in the list. So I'm getting this error message:
    08:23:54,312 INFO  [lifecycle] WARNING: FacesMessage(s) have been enqueued, but may not have been displayed.
    sourceId=form:foco[severity=(ERROR 2), summary=(form:foco: Validation Error: Value is not valid), detail=(form:foco: Validation Error: Value is not valid)]I suppose that JSF is comparing the new value of the field fSetorOrigem with the value
    it has in the view state. As the value is different it is raising the error. That's
    what I suppose. But am I not able the change the value in the postback? I've already
    checked and the value is valid. It corresponds to a value that exists in the list.
    I really need a solution to this problem as I'm stuck with this and can't proceed until
    I find a solution to this. What I am doing wrong and how can I solve this?
    Thank you very much.

    BalusC wrote:
    It is comparing the selected value against the List<SelectItem> returned by getSetoresOrigem() as it is during the apply request values phase of the form submit request.Ok. That's what I supposed JSF was doing.
    BalusC wrote:
    If the selected value isn't in there, then you will get this error.I can understand this, but is this right? As I said, the old value isn't really there because I changed the list values to new ones. But the new value (the value of fSetorOrigem ) corresponds to a value that exist in the new list items, so a valid value. So JSF is not considering that I also changed the list, not just the value. It is comparing the new value with the old list, not the new one. Acting like this JSF is making the page looks like a static HTML page, not a dynamic one. If I can't change the list and the value, what's the point of that? In my point of view I'm not doing anything wrong, I'm not violating any JSF rules.

  • Validation error corrupts component tree?

    I've got a strange problem trying to use validation on input fields.
    The basic setup is as follows:
    I've got a page divided into two parts with separate h:form tags, the one holding a dataTable with some elements and the other showing the element details in inputFields once an item is selected in the dataTable via a commandLink. A commandButton on the detail side allows you to update the values of the selected item which is being reflected in the dataTable on reload. So far so good.
    Here comes the strange part:
    All the inputFields are marked required. Now once you leave a field empty and try to submit the form, you get a validation error as expected. BUT if you now select a different element from the dataTable, ONLY the field whose validation formerly failed is being updated, the other fields still show the same value as before. The backing bean method that belongs to the commandLink is being executed, and the underlying data object of the input fields is being set properly, only the values in the component tree aren't updated. This behaviour persists until you enter a valid value in the formerly invalid input field and submit. Debugging shows that as long as at least one field has had validation errors, only the getter of these backing beans properties are being invoked during render response phase, as opposed to the "normal" case where the getters of all the backing beans properties are being called.
    For some reason, the render response phase seems to ignore the other components in the component tree when there was some validation error on one or more fields.
    Another interesting observation:
    This is the behaviour if I don't specify an action attribute in the commandLink selecting an element from the dataTable, as I want to return to the same page again. But if I define a navigation case that brings me to the same page and put that into the action attribute, the problem doesn't occur. Unfortunately this is no option for me, as I'm aiming to do all this with ajax.
    I've created a simple example so you can try out yourself:
    test.jsp:
    <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" prefix="h"%>
    <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" prefix="f"%>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>validator test</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <f:view>
         <h:form id="form1">

    Thanks for any input,
    Harry.

    Is there noone here who can tell me if this is behavior like specified or if I miss some point?
    A possible solution seems to be telling JSF programmatically to rebuild the view root. Does anyone if this is possible?
