  • Problem with blocking upload file TMG 2010

    I'm using TMG 2010. I have 3 rules :
    1/Allow Internet Access :
    protocols : dns, http, https
    from: loclahost, internal to: External
    2/Allow Protocols :
    protocols : all traffics
    from: localhost, internal to: localhost, internal
    3/Defaul Rule : Block all.
    The problem is : i want to block upload file from internal to external so i've made HTTP filter in Allow Internet Access like this : Config HTTP --> Signature : Search in: Request Header
     Http header: Content-Type:
     Signature: mutipart/form-data
    Methods : Block method POST
    Unfortunately, it's not work and i dont know why. If i create a rule block web, it's work. Plesase help me. Thanks !

  • APEX Upload file feature resulting in 404 Page Not Found error

    Hi,
    I have a page where the user selects the local file to upload and submits it to another page. It has been working fine for the last few years. Yet recently when there's a submit with the file for upload, it says "404 page not found" regardless of which page it branches to. If I leave the file upload field blank, it doesn't have that problem.
    Any advice? Thanks.

    Hi,
    have a look at http://www.inside-oracle-apex.com/oracle-apex-got-404-not-found-2/ to get the reason of the 404 error. If you are using the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway (EPG) have a look at the comments where I link to a description what you have to do for EPG.

  • All plugins uptodate but on upload file get "USING one of the supported browser with latest Adobe Flash is required to experience enhanced file upload features

    I am freelancer. When I tried to upload files on elance it give following error and disable the upload button:using one of the supported browser with latest Adobe flash is required to experience enhanced file upload features.
    All plugins are up to date. Flash version 11.7 installed.

    I assume Firefox 19 worked fine on the site?
    Some sites may be mistakenly identifying Firefox 20 as Firefox 2, which is a very old version they probably no longer support. As a test, you could "lie" to the site about your Firefox version and see whether that little deception works.
    This take a minute to set up. Here's how:
    (1) Select and copy the following preference name to the clipboard:
    general.useragent.override.elance''.''com
    (2) In a new tab or window, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (3) In the filter box, type '''override''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (4) Make sure '''general.useragent.site_specific_overrides''' is set to its default value of true (or right-click and choose Reset if it is not).
    (5) Right-click anywhere in the preference list area and choose
    New > String
    then paste the preference name you copied. Click OK and enter TEMP or asdf or any text as a temporary placeholder. You should see the preference added in bold. Leave about:config open and switch back to this tab.
    (6) Select and copy the following useragent string to the clipboard ''(it's all one line)'':
    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0
    (That's Firefox 19 on Windows 7 32-bit)
    (7) In about:config, double-click '''general.useragent.override.elance''.''com''' and paste to replace the temporary text with the new useragent string. Click OK, you're done here.
    Now try reloading a page where you need to upload (use Ctrl+Shift+r) and test that function again. Any change?

    Hello i had exactly the same error, but not with file upload.
    I'm sure you have in your application lib directory to jars which aren't compatible to each other.
    And the problem occured between my myfaces and tomahawk jars .
    See this page:
    http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/CompatibilityMatrix
    It tells you which myfaces and tomahawk jars you can use together.
    Hope it can help.

  • How to specify the directory in which we want to store the uploaded files

    Hello !!
    I am using apache commonfile upload for uploading my files.I followed the user guide and tried to run a program,but my problem is I am not able to understand as to how to mention the directory in which the uploaded file will be saved..My code is given below :
    package r;
    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import org.apache.commons.fileupload.*;
    import org.apache.commons.fileupload.servlet.*;
    import org.apache.commons.fileupload.disk.*;
    import org.apache.commons.io.*;
    import java.lang.Exception;
    public class fileupload extends HttpServlet
         public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request,HttpServletResponse response)throws IOException,ServletException
                   // Check that we have a file upload request
                  boolean isMultipart = ServletFileUpload.isMultipartContent(request);
                 System.out.println(isMultipart);
                 if (ServletFileUpload.isMultipartContent(request))
                 // Create a factory for disk-based file items
                   FileItemFactory factory = new DiskFileItemFactory();
                   // Create a new file upload handler
                   ServletFileUpload upload = new ServletFileUpload(factory);
                   // Parse the request
                   try {
                               List items= upload.parseRequest(request);
                             Iterator iter = items.iterator();
                             while (iter.hasNext())
                                   FileItem item = (FileItem) iter.next();
                                 if (item.isFormField()) //NORMAL FORM FIELD
                                 String name = item.getFieldName();
                                  String value = item.getString();
                                  System.out.println(value);
                                  else
                                 String fileName = item.getName();
                                 System.out.println(fileName);
                                    String contentType = item.getContentType();
                                  File saveTo = new File("/info/upload_files/myFile.jpeg");
                             try
                                       item.write(saveTo);
                                       System.out.println("File written" );
                             catch(Exception e)
                                         System.out.println("File not written");
                                   // InputStream fs= item.getInputStream();
                                   fileName = FilenameUtils.getName(fileName);
                                    System.out.println(fileName);
                        }//end of try
              catch (Exception e) { }
         public void doPost(HttpServletRequest request,HttpServletResponse response)throws ServletException,IOException
                 doGet(request,response);
    The problem is that the control doesn't reach the try statement and I get " File not written" on the console because it enters catch everytime..Please tell me how the path to the directory should be given...Rest of the code is working fine

    No, the problem is that when an Exception is thrown, you ignore it completely and throw away all the information associated with it. That leaves you to guess at what the problem is. So instead of answering your guess at a good question, I'm going to suggest that in all of your catch blocks you put this code:e.printStackTrace();Then you can look at the output in the log file and see what the problem is. Start from there.

  • To Delete the uploaded file in Application Server

    Hi Friends,
    I developed an BSP Application displaying the results from ITAB though Iterator, for which , each row there is feature to upload a particular file in the Application Server, where I stored the file  path into a database table field.  .When I delete the the row, I am successfully get rid of the entire row including the file path.
    My Question.
    1. How to delete the uploaded file of the Application Server ?
    Please mail me in this regard.
    Regards
    CSM Reddy

    Hi,
    you have the keyword and you have the documentation. What is your problem?
    Search in the forums with keyword "delete dataset", there are lots of threads about this.
    Example
    Deletion of dataset in applicaiton server
    deleting file from AL11 Tcode
    Best regards

  • Powershell: How do I upload files with metadata from a manifest file?

    I am using the script from this blog to try to upload files into SharePoint, using a manifest file to specify the metadata associated with each file. Right now, the script works, but is not populating
    the metadata from the manifest (xml) file. When I write the $metadataManifest variable out to the console, I get the contents of my xml file, so the code is reading the file when it should. However when it gets to the line in bold ($metadataManifest.Columns.Column),
    it does not go into that block...it just skips on to checkin the file. Again the $metadataManifest variable shows all the content in my xml manifest file. Here is what the script looks like...
    #Get web and document library objects
    $web = Get-SPWeb "http://companySite"
    $Library = "My Library"
    $docLibrary = $web.Lists[$Library]
    $ManifestFilePath = "C:\PowerShellScripts\Manifest.xml"
    $LocalPath = "C:\Upload\Test Upload\My Upload Directory\"
    if ($ManifestFilePath)
    $metadataManifest = (Get-Content ($ManifestFilePath))
    write-host "Manifest file: " $metadataManifest
    else
    write-host "Manifest file not specified for categorising uploaded documents"
    #Check for the LibraryStartFolder parameter to specify a root folder

    Hi Spawn,
    Name should not be a problem.. I will probably post you the entire code (I modified it to meet your goals for having multiple column xml nodes as well)
    For the code snippet below:
    a. In powershell all my changes will have ## prefixed comments
    b. in XML I have changed one column name to "Name" to replicate your case and also added a parent node for making the xml well formed.
    and the SharePoint output
    Please see the code below
    $web = Get-SPWeb "http://intranet/sites/test"
    $Library = "My Library"

  • Uploaded Files stored in Oracle 10G database or in Unix File system

    Hey All,
    I am trying to understand best practices on storing uploaded files. Should you store within the database itself (this is the current method we are using by leveraging BLOB storage) or use a BFILE locator to use the files system storage (we have our DB's on UNIX) . . .or is there another method I should be entertaining? I have read arguments on both sides of this question. I wanted to see what answers forum readers could provide!! I understand there are quite a few factors but the situation I am in is as follows:
    1) Storing text and pdf documents.
    2) File sizes range from a few Kb to up to 15MB in size
    3) uploaded files can be deleted and updated / replaced quite frequently
    Right now we have an Oracle stored procedure that is uploading the files binary data into a BLOB column on our table. We have no real "performance" problems with this method but are entertaining the idea of using the UNIX file system for storage instead of the database.
    Thanks for the insight!!
    Anthony Roeder

    Anthony,
    First word you must learn here in this forum is RESPECT.
    If you require any further explanation, just say so.
    BLOB compared with BFILE
    Security:
    BFILEs are inherently insecure, as insecure as your operating system (OS).
    Features:
    BFILEs are not writable from typical database APIs whereas BLOBs are.
    One of the most important features is that BLOBs can participate in transactions and are recoverable. Not so for BFILEs.
    Performance:
    Roughly the same.
    Upping the size of your buffer cache can make a BIG improvement in BLOB performance.
    BLOBs can be configured to exist in Oracle's cache which should make repeated/multiple reads faster.
    Piece wise/non-sequential access of a BLOB is known to be faster than a that of a BFILE.
    Manageability:
    Only the BFILE locator is stored in an Oracle BACKUP. One needs to do a separate backup to save the OS file that the BFILE locator points to. The BLOB data is backed up along with the rest of the database data.
    Storage:
    The amount of table space required to store file data in a BLOB will be larger than that of the file itself due to LOB index which is the reason for better BLOB performance for piece wise random access of the BLOB value.

  • Unable to view uploaded files in Tomcat till server is refreshed

    Hi All,
    I am building an application wherein the user would have an option to upload files (can be documents or images) and once the files are uploaded the user should be able to download it.
    I am using Apache Tomcat 6.0 and JDK1.6.
    Every thing seems to be OK for the File Upload part but I have some questions in my mind for the File Download Part.
    Approach 1:
    Initially I tried to use the BLOB feature of the mysql Database to save the file as a Binary stream in the DB. However after googling it out I found out that there are serious performance issues with BLOB (The file size can be anywhere from 1 KB to 20 MB). Thus we have ruled out this approach.
    Approach 2:
    We decided to save the file path in the DB and save the file to the File System.
    For this, Initially we stored the files under the Root directory of the application but the Tomcat could not recognize the files until it was refreshed/restarted.
    This can’t be accepted for the realtime environment.
    One fix we found out for this was to create a new file directory under the web-apps folder of tomcat outside the root directory of the application and save the files in this directory. To make this work we added a new context to the tomcat configuration.
    Please suggest if this is the best approach to follow.
    Thanks

    Did the code properly close the outputstream on the file after writing the file contents? If it does not, then the file contents cannot be read until the handle on the file is destroyed (by restarting the java virtual machine).
    That said, it is a violation of forum's code of coduct if you spam your website in messages. Cut it out and just post it in your forum profile or only post it if it has really something valuable to add to the currently running topic subject.

  • Upload file PL\SQL

    Hi,
    I'm writing a web application using PL\SQL procedure.
    I've got one problem, how can I upload file in the database blob field?
    I've found some articles (like this: http://www.acs.ilstu.edu/docs/oracle9ias/web.902/a90855/feature.htm
    ) that present this example,but its doesn't work:
    -----------------------------FILE.HTML----------------------------------------------------------
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>test upload</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <FORM      enctype="multipart/form-data"
    action="pls/mydad/write_info"
    method="POST">
    <p>Author's Name:<INPUT type="text" name="who">
    <p>Description:<INPUT type="text" name="description"><br>
    <p>File to upload:<INPUT type="file" name="file"><br>
    <p><INPUT type="submit">
    </FORM>
    </body>
    </html>
    ----------------------------------PROC PL\SQL---------------------------------------------
    procedure write_info (
    who in varchar2,
    description in varchar2,
    file in varchar2) as
    begin
    insert into myTable values (who, description, file);
    htp.htmlopen;
    htp.headopen;
    htp.title('File Uploaded');
    htp.headclose;
    htp.bodyopen;
    htp.header(1, 'Upload Status');
    htp.print('Uploaded ' || file || ' successfully');
    htp.bodyclose;
    htp.htmlclose;
    end;
    --------------------------------------------END-----------------------------------------------
    Any ideas?

    Re: Upload file through PL\SQL Webpage

  • Uploading files from web to db server

    hi, yesterday discover article from otn about uploading file from clients filesystem to web application server.
    but how about uploading from clients filesystem directly into database column? (i'm talking about forms application via web server, btw, not c/s app)
    i've search through the archieve, but cant find anything useful, just alot of similar question with no useful answer. so i guess alot of people could use this feature, if it can be done.
    thanks in advance
    Phil

    The demo titled "Forms, Reports, and Portal Integrated Demo"
    has the package and a form using it.
    You can download it from http://technet.oracle.com/sample_code/products/forms/content.html
    Read the script and search the part where you upload an image.

  • MULTIPLE UPLOAD file problem

    Hello,
    I have a problem with multiple upload file tool.
    Because my server need, in order to upload files in its folders, to be logged only with ftp user (that is unique).
    Now, I need that when I upload a file its name will be stored on db table "file_name". But in order to put data in database i have tobe logged also with user that is allowed to access on mysql db.
    So I understand that I should nedd to types of authentication at the same time...
    I think it depends on my type of hosting that is windows, and there is not the possibility to change CHMOD, so the error when I try to upload a file is that the folder has not write permissions...
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks a lot

    Hi ascaro231,
    wow, that is one bag of problems on the remote side :-(
    to be logged only with ftp user
    although PHP itself provides native FTP functions
    (e.g. for uploading files and also changing folder & file permissions), ADDT´s file upload features don´t support this protocol
    and there is not the possibility to change CHMOD
    CHMOD *will* have to be supported by your host, because this is how ADDT changes folder & file permissions.
    Well, to me it seems that your host doesn´t provide some very basic and truly common-standard PHP settings -- and honestly, disabling the regular PHP file upload features is ridiculous.
    Any suggestions?
    go for a better host -- this is just inacceptable.
    Are you hosting with "Aruba" BTW ? They have both Windows and Linux hostings, and AFAIK it´s possible to switch the hosting type.

  • Upload file in google docs is ignored in FF 4b4 (OK other browsers and previous versions of FF)

    I am using Firefox 4.0 Beta 4 and think there is a problem with the "Upload file" functionality in google docs combined with the latest beta4 release of FF. It worked up until beta v3. I have also installed v3.6.8 and seems to be a problem on all such evironments. I use Windows XP. I tried to disable adblock plus but same problem persists and I have to use say Opera.
    Google docs provides an excellent gateway to publish stuff to my blog and to publish plain office and pictures. I have tried to disable "Popup blocker" but no difference.
    Any help most welcome.
