Blue screen that fades to yellow then white...

I have an iPhone 5s 64gbs. This is the second phone I've had to get, the first broke due to a cracked lcd screen. This one gave me the blue/yellow/white screen fade before rebooting. I have it in recovery mode and it is restoring. However, if this doesn't work, what should I do?

You can take some of the steps here, #4, #5 or even trying a #18
Step by Step to fix your Mac
but I suspect your going to first have to create a data recovery drive
Create a data recovery, undelete boot drive
to get your data off the machine,
then do a #20 to eliminate the bad sectors as that's why your getting the "pinwheel" it's getting a delay reading from the drive, right when your trying to log in too, what a bad spot for it to happen.

  • My Macbook has a blue screen that wipes to gray with little squares??

When waking up my MacBook it'll have a totally blue screen that wipes to the gray log in screen with my curser.  It wipes in little squares.  Once I wipe clear enough to see my log in box and put in my password, it clears up and logs on.
What does this mean?  Is my LCD going bad?

If it's gotten past the hardware tests (assuming you mean the ones on your Install disks) then assume for now that the problem lies in the OS rather than the hardware. That means, for one thing, that you're actually in the wrong forum and should be moving over to the Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger section, probably the Installation & Setup forum you'll find there.
On the way, take a look at the contents of the following KB article. It will get you started on the troubleshooting of this problem, and reporting what you've done from here (and what the results were) will speed the process in the other forum.

Reset the device by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for about 15-20 seconds.

  • Won't respond.  Have a blue screen that keeps flickering.

My MacBook pro is not responding.  It has a blue screen that keeps flickering.  Power button does not even work.

Safe Boot by restarting your computer while holding down the "shift" key.  Safe booting disables all nonessential processes, often times allowing you to start up when you would otherwise crash.
As of OS X 10.5.6 Safe Boot deletes the dynamic loader shared cache location in the /var/db/dyld directory.  A corrupt cache here can cause the blue screen crash.  Once you restart normally, the cache will be recreated.  This should take care of the issue.

  • My Macbook wont turn on, it gets pasted the White Apple screen then goes to a Blue screen that quickly turns a slightly darker shade of blue with the familiar loading icon then back again and does this over and over. What should I do? please help!

So today my iPhone decides to go into recovery mode on me randomly so I  plugged it into my Macbook right away, but it wasn't showing up in iTunes so I did a quick internet search as to why that could be. On the Mac support forum I found instructions stating I should make sure I had the current verison of iTunes on my computer, turns out I had been putting off an Update because I didn't like waiting for it to restart n so forth. So I clicked my boucning update friend at the bottom of my screen and it started checking for updates, the bar got maybe a quarter of the way up and then stopped moving all together, I thought something was wrong so I clicked cancel and tried again. The same thing happened so I clicked cancel and went back to the Internet to find more help on my problems. I found yet another forum saying this solution was simple, restart the computer. So i clicked my little apple at the top and pressed restart and that has been the last thing I got to do on my computer because when it restarted it got past the White Apple logo screen and went on to a Blue screen which quickly turned a darker shade and had the loading circle, then back to the previous blue screen, then right back to the darker one. This process it repeated several times and I can't for the life of me figure out what to do. Please someone have a simple answer to this that I haven't Already tried, I have already tried safe mode and it just doesn't work for me. Please please help I need my computer for class it has all my notes and a paper I was doing, not to mention my iphone is still in recovery mode, even when I can get to another computer to fix that I need all the back up files off of my macbook to restore it to what I know it as and not default.

    Reset the PRAM
Reinstall the operating system from the dvd (you will not loose your data)

Iphone 5s is switched off and then shows a blue screen, then yellow then white

I just experienced this exact same issue with my early 2011 15" macbook pro. Since like a month after purchasing it I had issues with the screen randomly going dark on me. I sent it in for repair inder waranty they replaced the gpu and logic board but I continued to have the same issues with the screen randomly going black sometimes I would need to reboot it in order to get the screen to go back on but it happened so infrequently and I used the computer for school so disnt find the time to resend it in to apple. Just last night the screen started to display the blue screen with black verticle lines on it. I called apple and explained to them  the issues that had been ongoing since I purchased the laptop but they said because I was now outside of warantee that any repairs at thia point wouldn't be covered. Fml so glad I spent 2200 on this future proof macbook pro what a joke my sister purchased a toshiba laptop for 300 4 years ago and it still running like a champ. I loved my macbook but at the price I paid I expect it to last longer than 2 years before leaving me high and dry. *** apple??

  • Splash Screen that fades in smoothly...

    Is there some code somewhere?
Or how can I realize that with Swing?
Hope you can help me... ;)
    Greetz
    Sambale

Ok... Guess you didn't understand it right...
I want my splash screen to fade smoothly from 0%
    (invisible) over 50 % (semi-invisible) to 100%
    (full).
It means I need a method just like setTransparency(
    values from 0 to 100).
D'you know what I mean? The top level Java components (Frame and Window) are always 100% opaque. In order to do what you want you have to use the java.awt.Robot class to grab a snapshot of the background where the splash screen will be displayed and then paint your semi-transparent image over the top of it using a thread and AlphaComposite to tweak the transparency over time. Not 100% accurate but good enough to fool most people. Here's an example showing the concepts.
    import java.awt.AWTException;
    import java.awt.AlphaComposite;
    import java.awt.Dimension;

  • Screen fades to blue screen continually (video attached)

Here is what is going on. On boot the computer would lock up after the spinning gear. Or it seem to. It would get past the apple logo, flash pink for a second and go to a white screen. I could hear the hard drives being accessed but it never seemed to come out of this white screen after waiting 10 or minutes. So I ran the hardware test on this computer. It found no problems, so rebooted and oddly enough I the computer booted fine. However occasionally after being logged in the computer would flash to a blue screen and fade back in. This is the same animation you see when you log into your machine right before you see the desktop. In some cases it will continue over and over (see the youtube link bellow). Even booting off the original restore disc this issue kept continuing. Which leads me to believe its a hardware issue. Ive tried, resting the PRAM, SMC, ran the hardware test a second time, ran a check on the hard drive using disk utility, fixed the permissions, swapped out dvi cables, and changed out the power strip. I am leaning towards it being a video card issue, but i cant be for sure. The problem is intermittent, so its hard to track down. Has anyone seen an issue like this before?????

I've just recently upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.3, when this blue screen issue started to bug me. I tried resetting the

I was wondering maybe MOTU has new released driver for OS X 10.6. I only downloaded the latest driver for mac which is for 10.4 and up. But whenever I'm plugging back the PCI card in, the blue screen problem still occurs and cannot continue with the installation procedure anymore.
Hope someone could give me idea on any solution for this.

You must repair the HD, if Disk Utility or fsck should fail to repair it, your best bet is DiskWarrior from Alsoft, you'll need the CD to boot from if you don't have another boot drive...

  • Gold iPhone5s Experiencing Nonstop Boot   Blue Screen

Please help I am so scared!
So yesterday morning (Friday, May 2) I dropped my iPhone once in the morning. It seemed to be working perfectly fine until 7 hours later. I saw my iPhone and it was completely black, so I decided to turn it back on. The white screen and apple logo is there, and it shows a glitchy blue screen for a splitsecond and then goes back to the apple logo screen and so on, it never stops! I got so scared at that point. I have tried restarting my iPhone. Now it says the connect to iTunes screen. And so I did, and it recognized that it is in Recovery Mode. So I pressed "Restore and Update" but when it seems to be almost done, it goes back to a blue screen and shuts down again, and iTunes says "Error, iPhone could not be restored. (9)
    I've tried
Installing new updates on iTunes and my Macbook
Trying to connect it using a different PC
Attempting to restore it loads of times
Letting it sit for 8 hours
This really *****, I've spent so much money on this iPhone. And all my pictures are precious. Is there any way it can be fixed at home without having to go to the Genius Bar?

    Hi Matt,
Yes I managed to fix this. It was due to some changes I did to permisions on my Mac. What he has to do is boot in single user mode and and use the chmod 1775 command.
You can have a look at http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1411
    I found it really helpful.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

  • External display no longer working - stuck at blue screen

Hi everyone. I just don't know what in the bloody **** happened here.
Everything was working fine, I even had my macbook 13 upgraded to 10.5.6 and it always worked fine with my external DELL 2007WFP screen thru DVI cable and miniDVI adapter.
Suddenly when I got home today and plugged the miniDVI adapter, I saw the screen blinking forever at the blue screen that usually fades out to both screens with extended desktop turned on.
If I unplug the miniDVI adapter, everything gets back to normal on the macbook screen. I plug it again, I get the blinking blue screen.
Tried rebooting, unplugging everything else from the external screen, no luck.
If I boot the macbook with the external screen on and the macbook closed, then it is recognized fine and I can use it, but when I want to use both screens, it will blink again.
I need to use both screens as that's how I arranged my workspace.
Again, everything was working fine yesterday.
    Thanks

Did you ever figure out what was doing this, and more importantly, did you get it fixed? I have the same thing happening to my macbook 13. It has worked fine in the past with external displays, both mini-DVI to DVI and mini-DVI to VGA, and many types of monitors/projectors. All of a sudden last week, i try to connect to my external monitor and I get the flashing blue - dark blue - light blue - repeat...
I tried the command-f1 trick to switch displays, and it sits there for a second, my desktop will flash onto the external monitor for a second, and then it'll give up and go back to the repeating blues.
I ran the hardware test, both the short and the long, to no avail.
I tried with the lid closed and an external mouse and keyboard. I tried this both from the startup and from when the laptop was already on.
Any ideas? Time to go to the genius bar?
