Bluescreen after pressing Stop-Button

Hi,
I've got a problem again.
My system:
DIAdem 9.1 (evaluation), MS Windows XP
My program:
I read ascii data from an measuring-instrument (force, torgue) via RS-232. I use script-DAC-Driver to do this.
While measurement I display data with DIAdem-VIEW, and after that I export as an excel-file.
My problem:
That all works fine so far, but If I start measurement in DIAdem, the script-DAC-driver waits for bytes at serial port. If my instrument does not send data (for example if I decide not to start work), I can't stop DIAdem. If I press the Stop-button, I got a bluescreen and Windows reboots.
Is there any way to do this better (without bluescreen)?

I could reproduce your problem and solve it. (see attached file with modifications in Procedure SFD_init)
The reason was some errors in your code, but a blue screen or a spontaneously reset is a wrong reacton of diadem
1. You have't opend the interface corectly. Use the Open -command!
Remark: The Open-command and the IsOpen-function don't work properly in case of an error. The Open -command cause a runtime error and iterrupt the DAC-plan so the IsOpen -function can not work. This error is known at least since Diadem 8.0 but it is still unsoved.
2. You have not written a handler for the case of an timeout. I've done it for you.
3. Use the Read -function only with the second parameter "mode".
Remark: The description of "mode" in DIAdem help is
wrong. The right description is:
Bit 0 stop read/write at delimeter
Bit 1 send data including the delimeter
Bit 2 received data do not contain the delimeter
4. Diadem 8.x Script-Blocks did not work in asynchron mode with Windows XP. I don't know if it's solved in DIAdem 9.1
5. Your "Taktblock" was to fast. You should't takt the scriptblock faster then it can work. A RS232 is slow!

Calculating a value from a item after pressing a button

Hi all
I would like to calculate the value of an item (highest available value in db +1) using a pl/sql-function after pressing a button. The result depends on an other item on the same page. The value of this item is not known while rendering the page. The result should be inserted in the item before saving/validate all other items from this page.
Part of SQL-Script for one possibility :

I wanted to know which triggers get fired after pressing 'save' button on toolbar, and in which sequence it get's fired.

When you press 'save' it tries to do a commit_form.
Before commiting the form, it checks for any errors which might occur at form level, block level or item level and does the commit only when it doesn't find one.

Automatic logout in SAP System after Pressing Confirm button

We have Stock confirmation Transaction(ZTransaction) coming from SAP System through ITS. Our Issue is When user click on Confirm button in that transaction, background process will run. It is more like running Replenishment in ICH. Then user will be able to see the order pager after 45 min,after pressing Stock confirmation button. but the user is still alive in backend system, this will causing load on the backend system. So want to set automatic logout from that system after pressing confirm button in that transaction.
Can anyone help me or guide the logic to implement in ABAP Program.
Note: User will access this Transaction through Portal.

can't turn on apple logo fades a moment after pressing on button - not recognised by itunes as being there. Can charge - however this causes the apple logo to appear and disappear repeatedly??

Sounds like you may need to reset the iPhone or put it into recovery mode to resolve the issue if it is to do with the software.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

so I have called HP tech support 12 times over the last 6 weeks and still my HP Officejet 4620 loses connection overnight. Of course becasue it was a birthday present I spent more time than I normally would have on this issue. While the tech are very polite they have not fixed my problem and now it is too late to return printer to store. This is a lot of money wasted and I think they need to admit this is a bug in this printer and resolve the problem!!!!!

Satellite A200 23W shuts down seconds after pressing power button

Hi all :)
I have just bought a Toshiba Satellite A200 23W portable computer some hours ago.
I turn it on and i let it finish all the Vista installation.
After finishing Vista installation it asket to resturn the laptop and from that moment the laptop is "dead".
After pressing Restart computer (from Vista) the computer shut down with no problem but it never restarted!!!
After waiting some minutes i tryed to start it over by pressing the power button.
Now when i press the power button i can hear the HDD working and most of the time before i can see something on screen the laptop shuts down!!
Now i notice that both the battery indicator AND the DC IN indicator are flushing and stopping flash at moments.
From reading the manual i would assume that the DC IN indicator should not flash at all though.
I have tryed to unistall the battery and try to boot the laptop but in that case i can not even listen the HDD starting up!!!
I have try to unplag and replag the power cable (in the wall socket as well as in laptop) but again no result.
Any ideas of what has happened?

I do not know what is wrong there and, in my opinion, it should not be so important for you. Contact your dealer as soon as possible and talk with him. Explain the situation. Maybe you will get new notebook. If not please contact nearest authorized service provider and let them check your notebook.
The notebook is brand new and it must work. Please do not wait too long.

Unlock screen not responsive after pressing Home button

Usually when I lock my phone, I can press the Home button to turn the screen on so it can be swiped and unlocked. But recently I have had to hit the Home button multiple times for the screen to appear, sometimes it does not appear at all (I have to press the lock button to turn on the screen). Other times I have to press the button multiple times and what looks like iPod controls appear at the top of the screen, even though the phone is locked.
Can anyone shed some light on this or a possible solution?

Can you disable 'flash' after pressing a button - epub fixed layout annoyance

Hi,
I have a hide show feature across two images set as buttons so that it seems that one image is animating slightly, however, whenever i click on the image there is an after 'touch' - ie the image turns muted and blue for a split second.
Is there anyway to disable this when pressing a button?

This is not giving high hopes though. I know it's new-ish and all but if people have to go out of there way to read these that is not going to make it a very popular format. Apple has there stuff together but as for Windows and Android they really need to step it up. Adobe needs to take the initiative and add this to Acrobat or crate a new viewer for epub in my humble opinion.

Satellite A60 Shuts Down immediately after pressing power button

My A60 shuts down after 2-3 seconds when I press the power button for openning the laptop. After pressing the power button, all lights come on, but before anything appears on the screen, computer cuts off the power. Fun, DVD and harddisk sound working. At least, sounds are coming from the these hardwares. Also from the buttom of the laptop, I can see the fan is working.
This problems started nowhere. Yesderday, I closed my laptop properly and carry my laptop to my friends. When I tried to open my laptop, this problem occured and I could not open it yet.
I tried any combination of using power supply and battery for power. Non of them is working.
Is there any one had the same problem or have any diagonistics for this problem.

Dont think its the same problem!
Your problem sounds more like overheating and the cooling modules cleaning could helps to prevent the notebook form overheating and from automatically shut downs.
The vacuum cleaner is a useful tool ;) but be careful if you dont know how to do it please contact an technician!

Screen recording, how to press record after pressing stop?

When I do a Quicktime screen recording, I can pause the recording by use the "alt" key to make the stop button become a pause button.
However, when I click the stop button the recording is considered finished and recording cannot be re-started.
Is there a way to click "record" again after clicking "stop" to add more recording to the end of the video?

Please help with the above question...
