Blurry Text After Rendering

While in the timeline pre-render my next is clear, then I render and it goes out of focus. I have my field dominance at none and have tried a variety of compressor settings. It looks best when the compressor setting is on "graphics" but the entire image becomes pixelated upon rendering. Any suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi,
Can you share some information regarding--
1. The version of Premiere Pro that you are using?
2. The OS- Windows or Mac.
3. The make and model of your graphic card and its VRAM.
Thanks

  • Fuzzy text after rendering to DVD!!

    Hello,
I've successfully wrote my movie to DVD but the text (especially the white text on a black background) is fuzzy and unclear. Interesting enough, the black text on a white background is clearer, and even better text on a textured background.
Any suggestions on how to fix, or at least improve this.
I used Lucida bright text, and the average font size is about 30 to 33 pt.
    Thanks in advance!!!!

    Update,
Since posting my question I have scrolled through previous posts looking for answers. I have read the following suggestions:
    1. Adjust RGB to 235 and opacity to %90.
I did a series of test clips with RGB adjustments and opacity. I also changed fonts (from Lucida bright) to Arial. I read that fonts with 2 pixels or less are unsuitable (I'm not sure what Lucida bright is so in my test clips, I changed it just in case). In my test I used 30, 35 and 40 point text.
Long story, short: I couldn't tell the difference between my old clips and the adjusted ones. Text still slightly fuzzy, especially on the scolling credits.
Perhaps I'm missing something (likely, as I'm very new to this) or this is as good as it gets.
Any further suggestions or advice? Thanks,

  • Blurry text after Tabbed Cycler runs on IE

    http://faculty.medicine.iu.edu/mentoring/
So three quotes rotate through on this page using the TabbedPanelsCycler that I found on the forum long ago. I recently have been getting complaints that as the second panel rotates the fonts dont render out correctly in IE 8. Looks good in IE 9 and all other browsers. From what I have read it has something to do with the filter being applied to that changing object and to just  turn it off. From what I see in the code, that is occurring but I am not sure. This might be more of a general javascript question but applies to this SPRY script. Any thoughts from other out there on how to fix this? Do all Spry Fade Effects have the same result?
    Thanks

    Site looks great!
    Add the following style rule
    .quoteBox {background-color: white;}

  • [SOLVED] Some text not rendering in Gnome after update

After a recent update some text is not rendering in Gnome. For example, look at the url bar of chromium in this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/A2Qyw.png
Here's a "screenshot" of some text not rendering in gnome-terminal:
    $ echo -e "I like pizza\nI like pizza\nI like pizza"
    ...blank line...
    ...blank line...
    ...blank line...
    ...blank line...
It basically renders my desktop environment worthless. I don't see anything suspicious in /var/lob/Xorg.0.log. Here are some of the packages I've updated recently:

  • PE7 - stop video from running after rendering text titles

    Hi gang,
When I add manual "sub-titles"  aka text titles to my videos, it works best when I render them as I'm going along with the ENTER key.    That's fine but the video then wants to KEEP start playing from the start and that's driving me bananas.  Can I turn this off?
Sorry, if this has been mentioned before.
    cheerio
    Petey

    Hi Hunt,
Indeed, I would never want the video to playback automatically after rendering.
In PE7, it was exactly where you mentioned.
BTW - rearranging menus is part of the neverending game, that drives us all constant upgraders completey bonkers!!!  Just like how AVI export dissappeared and reappeared into SHARE in PE 7.   What a nomad! hehe
    cheerio!

  • Blurry Text and Incorrectly rendered colors in 8,1

Ok...I'm at my wits end with this lap top.  I have tried everything.  I fixed it once...for about 48 hours, and then it went right back to the way it was.
Problem:  My laptop (HP Envy with windows 8.1) exhibits the common blurry text problem that everyone complains about.  However, there's an additional problem with mine.  The colors are all off.  Reds show up as greens, greens show up
as reds.  It's a mess.  I can't even watch a movie on this thing cause it looks like a different planet!
I have downloaded all the newest latest greatest drivers for my graphics card.  I have went to the manufacturers website and searched for drivers and downloaded them.  I originally had W8.  I downloaded and installed W8.1.  No change.
My graphics card is the AMD Catalyst.  I upgraded it.
When I fixed this thing the first time, I THINK the thing that did it was to go into Control Panel to uninstall programs.  My AMD catalyst, when I clicked on it gave the option to "repair".  So I hit that.  When I restarted...my
colors and text were perfect.  For about two days.  Now it's back to it's former crappyness.  I tried that again to no avail.
I've tried all the "de-scaling" crap that has been suggested on various forums.  Nada.
Someone please help me with this.  I'm deployed overseas and my laptop is my lifeline over here.

Go through the step by step instructions as sited here:
How-To Uninstall AMD Catalyst™ Drivers From A Windows® Based System
    There is also a
standalone uninstallation utility will clean your system of any existing AMD Catalyst drivers to prepare your PC for the clean installation of a new driver version.
Once the driver uninstalled visit AMD's website to download and install the latest compatible driver.
    Right click your desktop.
    Choose AMD Catalyst Control Center
Locate 3D Application Settings (under gaming)
    Locate Morphological Filtering.
    Make sure it is off.

  • Boris Title - Missing Text After Render

All apologies if this is an ages old bug that everyone worked to fix years ago. I was a daily editor from FCP 1.0 until 2004 or so when a project caused me to walk away from cuts and edits and crashes all together. Like a masochist, I've jumped back in, but without the prior security that came with daily readings of all the proper forums. I've tried to do my due diligence (5 hours here, 2-pop, Cow, etc) but to no avail. So....
    FCP 4.5/OS X 10.4.9
Previews of text when using Boris Title Crawl to create a crawl look fine, but after rendering, the beginning and end of each text string, no matter how long, are missing.
So the above sentence would read:
ext when using Boris Title Crawl to create a crawl look fine, but after rendering, the beginning and end of each text string a
Scrolls are no problem. Only a problem with crawls.
Again. Sorry if this has already been settled and I'm just overlooking the thread.
    Dual 1.42 GHz G4   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    Welcome (back) to the forum.
    Have you tried...
Deleting all renders in Render Manager, then re-rendering?
using the crawl in a different sequence or project?
    trashing preferences?
I'm unable to duplicate the behavior. Seems to work fine here, with that sentence.
    How are you previewing?
Do you have improperly set 'Margins' in the 'page' tab of Boris...or any crops set in 'Motion' tab of FCP?
    Post back,
    K
EDIT - BTW, FCP4.5 works best with OS 10.3.9/QT6.5.2

  • Lumia 925 blurry text while scrolling

Noticed that my lumia 925 has a blurry text while scrolling, specially when scrolling white text over black background or black text over white background... also noticed some blurry when scrolling tiles on the home screen, this blurry occurred around the black horizontal lines separating the tiles.... compared the scrolling with the 920 and there is a huge difference...
I read that some of the galaxy S4 units has this problem and that this problem related to Samsung AMOLED screens, and you know the lumia 925 has a Samsung AMOLED screen.
Any one has these issues? let me know in comments please..

I have the same issue with L1020.
I am extremely annoyed and disappointed at Nokia for messing up the PERFECT display of L920.
After using L920 for months and laughing at lower quality displays of other phones, this L1020 display feels like those typical phone displays.
Are nokia engineers so incompetent or everyone of them have vision issues that you ship a phone with such s**t quality?

  • Weird glitches after rendering

    Dear people,
I did recently huge (for me) step from PRE 3.0 to PRE 8.0 (I hadn't know, there were 9 Version). Anyway, I had in my first video some weird artefacts after rendering my video, and I don't know, how to fix them. (With 3.0 I hadn't such problems, even if I used it already ca. 3 years for many similiar projects).
You can see this glitch between 0:59-1:10 of my video in the upper right corner.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pp40ZjZ_lQ8
I tried it with various configurations, but it had always just various glitches. The youtube video was directly uploaded from PRE, and its quality is much more better than the glitch-full videos I exported as files. Do I do something wrong?
To my PRE project: it contains a video and many animated text layers. In the PRE preview, before rendering, everything looks good, but the rendering disappoints me :-)
Actually I wanted submit my video to some art video galleries, but I cannot since it's still a little bit buggy.
I would highly appreciate any help!
    Thank you, people, in advance,
    Merzmensch

Well, perhaps this was one of some differences to my previous videos: I usually use my Sony camcorder, but this time I used my digicam Ricoh K8. The video to this camera is fully incompatible with PRE (even if it's an AVI - I worked with another cameras before, but only with Ricoh K8 I discover incompatibility to just every video cut software), so I converted it through VirtualDub (using also MSU Cartonizer for special effects). As far as I cam recall, I converted it with Helix YUV codec, which I often use, because PRE 3.0 hadn't compatibility problems before.
About settings of the project, which details do you need exactly? I actually used the default settings. Here I did the screenshots of every part of Project settings:
    http://s234.photobucket.com/albums/ee240/kosmopol/PRE%20settings%20Takahashi/
(Sorry, it's German version, I hope they haven't shuffled the settings) :-)
I have a feeling, that the problem is not with video footage, but with some PRE settings, since you can see in the glitch both levels: video and text together. Perhaps rendering failure?

  • Video "Hits" After Rendering

After I render a piece of my timeline and look at it on our studio monitor, I'm getting a good amount of what I would call "hits" in the video, like hits you would see on an old tape that's past its prime. The timeline has a number of graphics layered on top of one another with text and moving jpegs, with a broadcast safe filter on everything.
I've had weird things appear after rendering before, but they've always gone away after rerendering. This time they're pretty consistently in the same spots.
Any ideas about settings I should look into or other work arounds?

I have seen this on several occasions and there seem to be a few causes.
    possibilities:
    1) you are using the Broadcast safe filter, if the clipping on your images are extreme you get strange green and white artifacts after rendering. Try using the 3-way color corrector to bring levels down before applying the BS filter. Or if the artifacts are occurring on graphics, make adjustments in Photoshop (or whatever program you created the graphics in) and bring them back into FCP. A lot of people create graphics using the full range of RGB colors and luminance values. NTSC video does not have as large of a chroma and luma range as RGB.
    2) You are working in an uncompressed 10-bit sequence and applying filters that are not compatible (for lack of a better word) with Apple's 10-bit codec. (Or you are just getting random render problems in 10-bit). I have had many, many render issues in 10-bit that went away by switching to 8-bit. In most cases you can't really see much difference between 8 and 10 bit video anyway, so why go through the hassle or working with it. If you are doing a lot of green screen work, you may want to reevaluate this argument.
I'm sure there are other possible causes for the problems you're experiencing, but these are the ones I've run into in the past.
Graeme Nattress knows a lot about 10-bit issues in FCP, perhaps he can chime in with some suggestions/explanations.

  • Titles made in Premiere become fuzzy after rendering

Is there a setting or button to check in Premiere to prevent titles made in Premiere from loosing the clarity and shapeness they had to becoming fuzzy and out of focus after the video is rendered?

I'm a novice learning Premiere. I assumed the softwear would make the export setting the same as the settings used to make the video sequence. I checked the best quality boxes and in both the rendering and exporting windows, but  the text in the titles made with Premiere played back fuzzy.  However, all the images I used stayed sharp in playback after rendering and exporting, even text that was already in images I imported in to Premiere stayed sharp in playback after rendering and exporting. What are the best sequence and export settings to use to produce sharp clear titles made in Premiere?

  • Project not running smoth after rendering ???

    Hi there,
    i need some help.
    Problem:
I have a project with some pictures( big pictures about 8 MPix and some small pictures for working with text )
With the intention to move this pictures over in the project i use the way to scale and to move with the Object-effects.
After Rendering all the movings are not smooth.
    Project-Config is DV-AVI, standard
Is there anything i can do to get the moving of Object ( like Pictures or text) smooth ???
Until now i have worked with Ulead's MediaStudioPro 8 and i never had problems like this.
hopely anyone can help me ...
    N.Gruss

    What?
Did you use the Effect Controls, Motion to scale your picture? Have you tried changing the keyframe interpolations or using Bezier curves?

  • Relative Location of Words after Rendering

I was using the animation tool to drop words from the foreground to the background in time to a drumbeat.  I noticed when I rendered it that the words lost video quality as they receded, so I decided I would cut the video level short after the animation and then have a basic statiory word in its place.  I find that no matter how I try to manipulate the words, they do not show up in the same place after rendering.
    This is Premiere Elements 9.
    Thoughts?

I knew this was going to be difficult, as I am new and not using correct terminology I think.  I did not use preset text animation.  I used keyframes.  So I keyframed location and size to create an effect as if the word was rushing from the observer to the screen and then stuck.  Only thing was, when it stuck, it had lost some video quality.  So I was going to cut that video track the instant the "animation" keyframing was done and replace with with a nice, newly minted and properly sized version of the same word.  I placed the word higher in the timeline list of tracks so that it lapped over the original, and placed it directly in the same location.
Sadly, when it rendered it was nowhere near the same location in terms of left to right, although it was in the corect location in terms of top to bottom.
    Hopefully that helps some...?
