Blushing a image over another one

Hey
I'm really after some help, i have added a new image onto an exsting image however the background colour does not match up
How to i burn over so the two colours match
Thank you
K

You are very welcome.  I had to rush earlier, but the steps required are:
Select the inset area on the notepad.  Quick Select is a good option as you have good contrast between the inset and the notepad.
Copy the selected inset to a new layer (Ctrl j or Cmd j).  Turn that layer off.
Make a new layer between the BG and copied inset layer.
Select the entire notebook area.  Here again, Quick select works well, but you will need to use Refine edge (if your version of Photoshop supports it) to refine the selection.
Fill that selection in the layer you made in step # 3 using a colour of your choice.  You could Alt (Opt) click on the note pad to sample the colour, and pick a less saturated and light tone from the Color Picker panel.
Turn the copied inset layer back on, and double click the layer to open the Layer Style panel.
Now adjust the upper 'Blend if' slider draging in from the right untill only the text is visible.  If you hold down the Alt (Opt) key you can split the slider to soften the transition.
You will be left with a dark outline, so add a layer mask, and paint out the outline with a black brush.
Good luck

    How do I super impose one image over another?

    Open image A
    Open image B
    On image B, use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the object which you wish to "superimpose"
    Go to Edit menu>copy to put the object on the clipboard
    Go back to image A
    Go to Edit>paste. The object will be on its own layer
    Get the move tool out of the toolbox, and position the object and resize, if indicated

  • Placing an image into another one

    Please help me with the following problem:
    I'm trying to place an image inside another one. So, I used the magntic lace tool to make the selection, and then copied it and pasted it onto the other image, but only the outline of the shape appeared.
    At first, only a white shape of the image appeared, but after changing some settings (I don't remember which) only the outline of the shape came up. I want the actual image to appear! How can I do this?

    Thank you for that. The cracker package appears to only be the Background (Frondo) Layer, so there should not be an issue with the wrong Layer there.
    I'd run that test mentioned, and just use the Rectangular Marquee Selection Tool, to do a rough outline of the cracker package. You will be on the Background Layer, so that a Copy should capture all of the pixels in the Selection. Then, go to the shot of the men, and Paste. Depending on the resolution of the two Images, you might need to do a Ctrl+T (Free Transform), to Scale, Rotate and also locate that new Layer to suit. Note: to constrain the Aspect Ratio of the pixels in that Pasted Layer, just click on a corner (little square), and hold down the Shift key. You can locate the Layer, as required, by either click-dragging inside the Bounding Box, or by using the cursor keys, or Shift+cursor key (larger increment of movement), until satisfied. Then hover the mouse's cursor outside the Bounding Box, but near a corner, and you will then see an arc with two arrowheads. Just click and move the cursor to Rotate. When done and satisfied, hit Enter, or Dbl-click inside the Bounding Box.
    That should do the trick. If not, then please let us know more.
    If all is well, it's a simple matter to create a Layer Mask for the cracker package Layer. To create that Layer Mask, one can use an number of Selection Tools, or the Pen Tool to create a Path to be turned into a Selection (my choice for situations similar to yours), that will become your Layer Mask to hold back the extra background pixels from the Rectangular Marquee. The beauty of a Layer Mask is that you can always go in and refine it. You can also directly paint onto, or paint away that Layer Mask. By using a small, soft-edged Brush, you can refine the Mask neatly. If you make a mistake there, or wish to add/remove from that Mask, just hit the X key to swap the colors of the Brush from black to white and back. I like Layer Masks for the level of refinement, and also for the ability to come back in and edit, as all you are doing is holding those extra pixels out of the Image, years later. Just be sure to do a Save_As PSD with the Layer and Layer Mask.
    Good luck, and hope this helps,
    Hunt

  • Animated gifs: How to transition (fade) 1 image over another

    Fireworks noob, trying to make an animated gif in CS4, reading/experimenting for hours, searching FW help documentation, Youtube tutes, Google - can't find how to pull off this basic fade.
    6 unique but same sz. jpgs in my .png (default FW worksheet doc), each a different "state" in the states palette. Got the basic timing down, all 6 pop up one after another, but I want transitions - #1 fades into #2, 2 into 3 etc. - possibly 3-4 step fade.
    How?
    Where are the other transitions/effects hidden?
    Doesn't FW have some kind of animation timeline feature where you can click through frame by frame?
    Ready to go back to Gifbuilder...
    TIA!

    Gif animations are for poster-like images. They don't work successfully with JPEGs because the file size ends up enormously large. The best program to use for whast you want to do is Flash. That said, Fireworks has an animation wizard that will fade images for you. Select an image and choose Modify > Symbol > Convert to Symbol. A dialog box will pop up enabling you to choose which type of symbol you wish to create. Choose Animation. From there, just follow the wizard. To fade one image over the other, you'll need to convert the images to symbols and animate them on different states  (frames). Symbol 1 on state 1. Symbol 2 on state 10. Symbol 3 on state 20, for example.

    Seriously the best way to do that is using a css background image on an 'anchor' tag. When you hover over the anchor tag the background image is swapped to a lighter one.
    #header a {
    background-image: url(pathToYourBgImage);
    backround-repeat: no-repeat;
    #header a:hover: url(pathToYourBgHoverImage);

  • Displaying a temporary image over another image

    Hello,
    I am writing a program where I need to draw a filled rectangle over another image then disappear (without drawing on to it).
    The Image is on a JPanel.
    Obviously I can not use Graphics.drawImage because that will permantley draw the rectangle on the image.
    How can I achieve what I want to do here?
    Thanks
    Andrew

    Yes, Ill be more specific.
    I have an image and over the image there are two words: "photos" "videos".
    I want to do the following: when you scroll the mouse on top of the word "photos", the word "photos" gets underlined and you can click on it and it will have a link to another page.
    Now, I normally insert an "imagen de sustitucion" which i think is a substitute image and it works perfectly. But then I cant move that image to be ON TOP of the picture i want to use as a kind of backround to these words.

  • How to lay one image over another?

    Hi, all:
    I'm trying to draw a square of a given color, and draw a circle of a given thickness and greyscale color. I want to lay the circle over the top of the square. Is that possible given the method below?
        public void draw (SimGraphics g) {
             g.drawBackground(backgroundColor); //background square with given rgb color.
              g.drawOvalBorder(stroke, diskGreyScale); //the overlaid circle with given thickness and greyscale color
        }drawBackground is of course undefined, because I don't exactly know HOW to draw a background for a square like this one. Normally, in my code I'm only calling one draw method. Here, I need to draw two things and put one on top of the other. How would I go about doing that?

    Peter__Lawrey wrote:
    Do you mean like this?
    public void paint(Graphics g) {
    Rectangle bounds = g.getClipBounds();
    g.fillRect(0,0,(int) bounds.getWidth(), (int) bounds.getHeight());
    g.fillOval(0,0,(int) bounds.getWidth(), (int) bounds.getHeight());
    Nope--I need something I can wrap in Graphics2D; the class I'm using (SimGraphics) is a wrapper for Graphics2D. I need (I think--though you can correct me on this) to use the draw methods from Graphics2D. Like this:
    public void makeMyImage (Graphics2D g) {
       g.drawFastRoundRect();
       h.drawOvalBorder();
       Graphics2D myImage = CompositeOrOverlayClassOfSomeFreakingKind(g, h);//g is bottom image; h is top image
    }That looks more like pseudocode, but you get the idea.

  • How do I insert a substitute image over another image? Dreamweaver CC

    I want to have a picture with theres to words "photos" and "videos" (on top of this image).
    And i would like that they get underlined- individually- when you scroll your mouse on top of each one.
    I was planning on using a substitute image of the letters -a picture of the original word and a picture of the underlines word as a substitute- but I can't find a div that will let me insert a substitute image on top of the bigger picture.
    I have tried slicing the image in photoshop so that the part of the picture with the word on top is just a square that i can use for the substitute image,  but the pictures can´t be right next to each other to form the whole picture!
