BO 4.1 SP3 "Database Middleware Selection" - drivers missing

Hello guys,
I've looked up my problem and I saw 2-3 similar scenarios, but couldn't get any good answer from previous discussions, so I'm asking again.
I have a BI Platform, 4.1 SP3.
BO Server is installed on WIN 2008 R2.
Client Tools machine is on WIN 2008 R2 as well.
I've used the BO Server machine to install client tools and create universe and reports, because no other machine was available.
Suddenly, after 2 weeks without even logging in - My universe and reports aren't opening - but the most wierd thing is while trying to re-create the connection, I don't see any drivers while creating "Relational connection".
Inside the list I see sap BW and SAS drivers. the rest of them are gone.
Tried "repair" on the Client tools setup, and tried re-run the server installation just to make sure the drivers are ticked while installing - It's all there.
Still doesn't appear on the list inside IDT.
Anyone has a suggestion ?

Just for login validation, you could simply use the tool
BI Platform Landscape tool:http://goo.gl/8yELes
This is a very minimalisitc tool, which needs the CMS to login
You could get this placed in the BO2 server and provide the System/login details of BO1
This could be used as a check point for the connectivity test once passed, you could start the installer and proceed with the Cluster setup

Designer hangs Database Middleware Selection Page on Linux Server.

Hi All,
I am facing an issues with Designer XI 3.1 when i try to connect to Red hat Linux 4.
Whenever i try to create new connection or edit an existing one from the designer, the Designer screen just hangs at the Database Middlewatre Selection Page for about more than 90 minutes, but it eventually comes up.
When i tried the same with a Windows Server, it works fine.
Tried to set the hostname and ip address in the CMC but it does not help.
The Environment is clustered and there are two linux servers and whenever the connection servers are stopped it runs fast, but when the connection servers are stopped it works fine.
It also works when we login to designer in the no cms mode.
Please help.

IDT Database Middleware Drivers missing (ODBC & OLEDB)

I did search this forum and various others for this problem however I cannot find a solution.
I have recently installed SAP BusinessObject BI Platform 4.0 Client Tools SP6 on my Windows 7 machine. I have created a project in the Information Design Tool, and when attempting to create a new Relational Connection, the list of Database Middleware Drivers available is very limited.
I wish to make a connection to a SQL server, and I believe this would be achieved via an ODBC or OLE DB driver however none of which are available.
All I have available under Microsoft is:
MS SQL Server 2008 -> JDBC Drivers
MS SQL Server 2012 -> JDBC Drivers
I have already created a system DSN through ODBCAD32.exe. In fact I created three, using different drivers for each
SQL Server
ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server
SQL Server Native Client 10.0
I have also set my Secured Connections preference to use 'Server Middleware' in my IDT. However I am still only seeing the same options when trying to create a connection.
Can someone please provide instruction on how I make a connection to my SQL database from IDT.

Thank you for your response.
I have attached screenshots below illustrating my issue. As you can see, the only drivers it shows available is JDBC. This is the case when either 'Local Middleware' or 'Server Middleware' is selected.

Want to hide middleware selection in connection creation

Hi all,
I want hide or remove the middle ware drivers in Middleware selection during connection creation for business objects client version. I dont want my users to use some middlewares in the connection creation.

You can disable the middleware driver by going onto the BO server:
Go to "Add/Remove Programs" > select "Modify" > Go to "Database Access" > here you can diable all the drivers you don't need

Logical Database (PNPCE) , selection screen hide.

i have couple of questions related to logical database pnpce.
1.Since i know logical database has there own selection screen , my requirement is i want to add my custom fields to the selection screen other than what is provided is it possible or not.
2. i want to hide the selection screen of the logical database, but i do want to create my own in which i will be declaring some select options of the standard logical database screen has, like pernr, organisation unit, etc, how do i communicate the entered data with the logical database if i dont use the logical database standard selection screen, hope i could able to explain my problem, please see into my problem and let me know thanks in advance,

Hussain,
LDB have standard selection screens, if at all you want to customize those standard selection screen you would have to define a report category for your program. You`ll have to configure in the spro settings for your corresponding report category.
If you would like to declare your own selection criteria, you can very well do it and these criteria are visible below the standard selection criteria. You can process these elements in your program and not in the LDB standard program. Use the normal selection screen events in your program for processing your selection criteria.

FBL5N - Logical databases - Dyanamic selection screen fields

I am trying to insert "Profit center" from BSEG table of Logical database DDF into the dynamic selection screen of FBL5N.
Procedure I followed:
Program -> Attributes -> Logical database -> Extras -> Selection views.
Interestingly when I add "Profit center" from BSID table instead of BSEG, it appears on dynamic selection screen. But this is not working for BSEG. I have no clue why this is so? If someone can help me in this regard, that would be great.
P.S: I can not insert Profit center from BSID table as BSEG contains profit center values and BSID is not storing the same info.

As BSID stores customer info, I believe only line item that has customer info is stored here.
I guess, that is the reason.
I will try the option told by prev post. Will keep you guys posted.

And how are you spawning the php instances? I don't see that in the daemons array anywhere.
EDIT: It looks like the info in that page is no longer using pre-spawned instances, but lighttpd adaptive-spawn. The documentation has been made inconsistent it looks like.
You will note that with pre-spawned information, the config looks different[1].
You need to do one or the other, not both (eg. choose adaptive-spawn, or pre-spawn..not both).

when attempting to install the groupwise gateway for microsoft exchange 7.02, i receive the following error:
error accessing domain database for selected domain. invalid or non-existant domain database.
the existing gw80 environment consists of a few sles 10 servers (mta, po, gwia, webacc) with edirectory 8.8 sp2, and an external bind dns. i've built a gateway system with the following components:
ws03sp2
ex2k3sp2
novell client 4.91sp5
c1 1.3.6h
edir88sp3
gw801 mta
can anybody share tips for getting the gateway to see the domain database? are there installation logs i can check? are there any srv records that i need to verify are manually created in the bind dns? will i need microsoft's exchange connector for novell groupwise?

CloudControl 12c: when adding cluster-database single instances are missing

Hello ,
I'e have installed the agent 12c on every single host of our RAC. When adding a database to CloudControl 12c just the RAC-instance gets discovered - but not the single database instances on each host.
Due to this when clicking targets -> databases I just see the cluster-database - but not every single instance of the database.
Compared to another RAC database this is totally different behaviour.
Any help will be appreciated

maybe I should try to explain the issue a little bit clearer...
We have one RAC database called PROD02. When clicking "targets -> databases" I see the following:
PROD02 of type Cluster Database
PROD021 of type Database Instance
PROD022 of type Database Instance
That's the way it shoudl be - that's the way I expected it...
For the newly cofgured RAC database, called PREP02, it looks different when clicking "targets -> databases"
PREP02 of type Cluster Database
The single instances don't show up. Of course I see the single instances when clicking on "PREP02" under the item "Instances".
Now I wonder why these two RAC databases are differently displayed when clicking "targets -> databases". When trying to add the single instances (clicking "Add" under "targets -> databases") and selecting then either "only on the host <hostname>" or "on all hosts in the cluster" no single instances are found or displayed...

Bug: 9780 blue color selection cursor missing

I am having the blue color selection cursor missing when I do the following:
At home screen, click blackberry button to open tray, but blue color cursor not shown and I cannot select application. I need to close tray and try few times.
At home screen, scroll to the top to open network panel for changing 2G or 3G. But the blue cursor not shown and I need to close it and reopen few times.

Have you tried to repair permissions, and check/repair disk? Looks like some Finder plist file getting corrupted after a little use of your computer. Also, you could try and create a new user account, and log in onto this new account, to check if your problems exist on this new account too. If not, then something is going awry on your own (admin?) account; if not, well, then your issue is system-wide.

Group Selection tool missing from tools

My group selection is missing from my toolbar on the right and is replaced with position tool. Is there anyway of getting it back?

Yes I completely agree with Peter we don’t have "Group Selection" tool in ID. Still you are feeling something missing in your tools panel...? Just go to Windows menu > workspace >> Reset Panels. So you can get ID default all tools. I hope it will help you.

Do you have a good example of caches that load from a database on a cache miss for Coherence 3.0. I looked at the crud.zip (CrudStore) but it is for version 2.5 and the class com.tangosol.net.cache.CrudStore is missing

Database recovery,password file missing

the operating system crashed .therefore i again installed oracle .
i had cold backup of my database.but the but the pwd file was missing.please note that database was not in archived mode.and the dumps were too old.
i tried to restored my database but because of missing password file ,i didn't
succeed .i created another password in svrmgr but it didn't worked.
please help me to restore the database which is oracle 8i.

Tauqeer You use the orapwd command to create the password file.
$ orapwd
Usage: orapwd file=<fname> password=<password> entries=<users>
where
file - name of password file (mand),
password - password for SYS and INTERNAL (mand),
entries - maximum number of distinct DBA and OPERs (opt),
There are no spaces around the equal-to (=) character.

coprocessor drivers missing after window 8.1 installed, I have a file to install it when it ran windows 7; and it did install; but will not install drivers off the file now.

What program are you talking about? Coprocessor is built into the Processor nowdays...
