BOBJ Reporting Solution Options
Hi Experts,
I need expert advise on the following questions.
1. What are the tools available in BOBJ to create reports out of NON-SAP datawarehouse build on SQL Server?
2. What tools/methodolgy can be used to create reports out of SAP BW and Non-SAP data using BOBJ?
3. Is building a universe the only way to create a report out of Non-SAP data? if no, what are the other options?
4. What are the tools available in BOBJ which can be used to create a reporting solution combining non-sap data (legacy) and SAP BW data? For example financial statement report showing data going back to 36 months in which 12 months data is from SAP BW and the 24 months is from legacy.

WebI Rich Client
Crystal Reports -
All above tools can be used to create reports from SAP and non-SAP data. Depending on your need, you can choose the tool.
DeskI can be used to create reports from Universes, free hand SQL, personal data files
WebI can be used to create reports from universe (only)
webi rich client is same webI but it is adesktop version. it is available from XI 3 onwards. they introduced personal data files as source.
Crystal reports can be created from Business View, Universe, personal data files, sql, etc.
Designer - to create Universe
Business View Manager - to create Business View
universe is a metadata create on the data structure. it can be either sap data or non-sap data.

1) Oracle BI Applications for supported Oracle E-Business Suite Modules and other Oracle Applications.
It will include real world experiences for implementing BI Apps Version 7.9.6
2) Custom OBIEE Development against E-Business Suite (when no BI apps are available)
3) Migration of Discoverer EUL to OBIEE RPD using Migration Utility
While OBIEE and BI Apps are clearly the strategic analytics reporting direction from Oracle, only certain Analytics applications are available. Sometimes all customer needs for BI reporting may not be met by these pre-built analytics. For instance, JD Edwards has pre-built ETL connectors only for Financial Analytics. While more BI Apps and ETL connectors are in the pipeline, how can users meet their reporting needs today as they go live in near future? In this session, we will look at several short and medium term solutions without deviating from the long term strategic goal of using pre-built BI applications to reduce the overall risk.
Several real life situations will be evaluated with demonstration of the steps involved such as how to Migrate Discoverer reports to OBIEE with the highest degree of automation. Likewise, we will cover how DBI views be used for custom OBIEE reporting.

We have a set of crystal reports that run correctly in SAP4.6C. During the upgarde, we are unable to run any report against the new sap 6.0 but the same report run correctly against SAP4.6C. Whenever we run the bobj report, a short dump is created in SAP ECC6.0 as follow:

In the source code you have the termination point in line 48

We are using BOBJ XI SP2. SAPGUI 6.2. SAP ECC6.0 SERVER. The following sets of transports from BOBJ integration kit SP4 have been imported into SAP.

Authenticaton helpers tranport
BOBJ support has been unable to help so far..Roland, we tried using the IP address to connect and create report and the same short-dump still occurs. We also applied BOBJ SP4 and it still didn't help. Please let us know if you have other thoughts. Thank you.

How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.

[Forum FAQ] How do I change default values shown in Report Delivery Options?
Introduction
Some users want to change default values shown in Report Delivery Options when creating standard subscriptions. Someone might want to always Cc the report to a specified user without sending the report URL. So they want to display those default values display
automatically when creating standard subscriptions like below.
Solution
To achieve this goal, please embed JavaScript code into the SubscriptionProperties.aspx file to change those default values (By default, the file’s location is: <Installation directory>\Reporting Services\ReportManager\Pages\SubcriptionProperties.aspx).
The example below will show how to set default values for “Cc” field and “Include Link” field.
Before coding, pleas find out the corresponding HTML tags of the two fields in the browser using IE Developer Tools.

Embed such a code snippet at the end of the existing code within the SubcriptionProperties.aspx file

Outlook Junk Reporting Add-In Not working - No "Report Junk" option
I have installed the "Junk Reporting Add-in for Office 2007, 2010, 2013 (32bit).msi" from Microsoft on 2 computers with Outlook 2013 as part of Office 365. Both are currently on version 15.0.4693 (latest version). On one, when I right click on
a message and go to the Junk options there is, as expected, the new "Report Junk" option. On the other, running on a Windows 8.1 system, that option is not there. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no effect.
Any ideas why the Add-In might not be working on the 8.1 computer? Anything I should try?

Does the user have any other add-in installed? This issue may occur if a conflict with a plug-in or an add-in causes the Junk Email Reporting Add-in to become disabled. We need to first check if the Junk Reporting Add-in is listed in the Add-in list under
File > Options > Add-ins. If it's not in the list, it means the add-in is disabled or not installed successfully. To check if the Add-in is disabled, go to File > Options > Add-ins, switch the "Manage:" drop-down
list to Disabled Items and press Go. Check if Junk Reporting Add-in is listed there. If so, highlight the add-in and click
Enable.
Please let me know the result.

I am using VS 2012, I have selected the option "sharepoint sequential workflow (Farm solution) option and not the workflow App model.
Earlier in SharePoint 2010, the approver status column can be got from ExtendedProperties["TaskStatus"] and which contained either "#" or "@" as its value.
However, in SharePoint 2013, the ExtendedProperties does not contain the "TaskStatus" key. In the quickwatch, i was able to see the value as "#" associated to some guid key. In the debug mode,i can see the below:

You can't do that using any report settings as such, but you could update a report template to do that. In a report template, you can use #CSV_LINK# wherever you want the export option to appear. By default, this is underneath the report (in the "After Rows" template setting), but you could also add this in above the report (in the "Before Rows" template setting).
When working with templates, it is always a good idea to work on a copy of an existing template - especially if the change is only for one report. In Shared Components, Templates, create a new Report Template and base this on a copy of your existing template. Once created, make the change as above and Apply Changes. Then, on your report, switch its template to your new one.

Except Create Report Job option, i do not have Create Data Model and Create Report options visible in my Home page.
In My Account-> My Groups, in which i have BI Consumer Role assigned.
Do i need to have a BI Administrator Role (or) BI Author Role to have these options enabled in my Home page?.
or What is the procedure to request for access

for the first part where you don't access I would suggest you do an authorization trace to ensure that the user has all the necessary authorizations.
and on the second part - yes the user needs to have credentials for the system that you trying to access

I am trying to print a report in APEX 4.0
using the free account APEX.ORACLE.COM .
I learning how to do this using the tutorial at:

What model number is listed o the back of the printer?
The HP Wireless Direct feature is only available for the CE658A model, not for the CE657A model.

We have developed a module that integrates Forte with Actuate. We were very
impressed with Actuate's reporting capability, but our clients had a couple of
concerns with it: 1) they didn't like the per-user fee Actuate charges for the
report scheduler, 2) they wanted to use the same interface to input parameters
that they use in their normal application windows (with drop-down lists,
multi-selection list, validations, short cut keys, etc.).
What we did was to create a front-end window in Forte that dynamically builds
parameter screens for inputting report parameters. These windows vary
depending upon the reports' needs. After entering these parameters, the user
can run the report from Forte.
Shortly we will add the ability for the users to parse their reports, by
customer, and automatically fax them. When R3 is released, we will further
integrate the two tools.
I myself have not used Actuate, but if you are still interested, and I can
refer you to our Actuate/Forte experts.

- output: probably html table, because it is easy to publish on webpage or sent by email

You can try use the hyperlink in WebI to call SAP ITS.
For example, you want to use the data of the WebI report as a parameter to call a transaction in SAP, you can try this kind of hyperlink URL:

Hyperlinks - Another Report Object option
I am using Crystal Reports 2008 for my development. I have a requirement to navigate the objects within the report by clicking the text object made into hyperlink. I have tried the Another Report Object option, it is not working. I exported the report to HTML and there the text object is with the link but having a invalid link like "navbookmark...". Please help me to resolve this and implement the requirement as mentioned above
