  • User Audit Report not showing all details

    Hello,
I've encoutered a strange problem with the users audit reports.
After I assign a user with a few new roles I expect to get the following information in Audit Event Details:
In the "Changes" area, there should be a table with the following columns: Attribute, Old Value, Attempted Value and New Value that indicates the changes I've made.
Instead, I get something like this:
    "Changes Old Values=Role A, Role B, Role C. New Values = Role A, Role B, Role C, Role D..."
Since the desciprion is too long it usualy ends with "..." and does not show the complete information.
All Successes and All Failures are marked in the Audit Configuration.
What else am I missing? I am using IdM 8.1.
    Regards,
    R

It seems that there is a default limit of 4000 characters worth of Attribute changes logged. If the attribute changed string is longer than 4000 chars long it is truncated.
If you look at the create database tables script used when you set up he repository tables BEFORE installing IdM you will see that in the logs table definition there is a comment suggesting that if 4000 chars is not enough for attribute changes, you may use a CLOB to hold the data. (we use Oracle DB)
In my opinion this isnt really publicised well enough.
Furthermore, It also seems that you have to modifiy a setting maxLogAcctAttrChangesLength in the RepositoryConfiguration configuration object. Again not so well known.
To be honest, I have not been brave enough to change this AFTER we have installed IdM and have used it for a period. I have no idea what consequences there may or may not be if a database table definition is changed... instinct tells me its not good.

  • Difference between G/L Balance and Inventory Audit Report

    Hi All,
while checking the G/L ledger for Inventory account and the Inventory Audit report, there is a difference between the amounts posted. The closing balance till 31/03/09 is fine but afterwards the balance is not matchin at all. I hav tried to check between various posting dates but still there are differences. Any suggestions why there are differences and how should i check them??
    Thanks in advance,
    Joseph

The GL account and the Inventory audit report will not tie for a couple of reasons:
    - You have posted directly (JE) to your Inventory account.  These amount since they are NOT tied to a Item in a transaction will not appear in the Inventory audit report.  The Inventory account(s) should be treated like a control account (enthough they
cannot be set as one in SAP B1) and should not be posted to directly outside of the Item Inventory Transaction (GRPO, AP Inv, AR INV, DN, AR CM, AP CM, etc...) I have alos seen these posting when GL determinations are setup incorretly or when users use the inventory account in Stock Posting (staock taking) transactions
    - you have legacy issues resulting in audit report entries relating back to pre SP01 2005 days.
To get these details analyzed by SAP for free along with the recomended corrections please contact your partner for a free Inventory Verification analysis   Your partner can take a copy of your DB backup and create a support message under SBO-MM-IVC and SAP support will analyse these differenes and show you the recommended changes.
    hope this helps

  • Inventory Audit Report

We used the Inventory Audit Report to determine inventory value ending in a specific period.  It seems to work okay but it lists every single item in our inventory.
We are looking for more of a summary report.  The only option we have for this is by product category.  However, we want it a little more detailed than this.
So, is there any way to show the report summarized by our Style #'s?  We have have colors and sizes associated with each style.  We do not need to know total for each color and size.
We just want the total for each Style #, which is the first four digits of our Item Code.  Theses first four digits are unique for each Style.  Can a Query be built to just show this summary?
    So...would have the following info...
    Style #...Total Items...Total Cost...Most Recent Item Cost
Can something like this be built?
    Thanks!!!
    Mike

To backdated the history is the most challenge task to complete.  Please be patient to check the query results from below:
    SELECT  Distinct SubString(t0.ItemCode,1,4) 'Style #', Sum(T0.InQty - T0.OutQty) 'Total Items', Sum(T0.InQty - T0.OutQty) *Avg(Case When T1.LastPurPrc = 0 then t2.AvgPrice else T1.LastPurPrc end) 'Total Cost',  Sum(T0.TransValue) 'Check', Avg(Case When T1.LastPurPrc = 0 then T2.avgprice else T1.LastPurPrc end) 'Most Recent Item Cost'
    FROM  OINM t0
    Inner Join OITM T1 on T1.ItemCode =T0.ItemCode
    Inner Join OITW T2 on T2.ItemCode = t0.ItemCode
    WHERE     T0.DocDate <= '[%0\]' and T0.InQty != T0.OutQty
    Group By SubString(t0.ItemCode,1,4)
    Order By SubString(t0.ItemCode,1,4)
I have to get data from OINM table in which to get history quantity is fine but may not be able to find the old value easily.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Zero Quantity, Negative Stock Value in Inventory Audit Report

    Hi all,
The Cumulative Quantity of an item has become zero but the Cumulative Value in the Inventory Audit Report displayed as -150. How to adjust it to make it zero?
    Kindly advise, thanks.
    Regards,
    Xavier

    HI Xavier,
Mentioned below is teh detail from the note mentioned by J
    Symptom
In the Stock Audit Report, generated for a specific warehouse, a value is shown in the 'Cumulative Value' column even if the item does not have quantity.
    Cause
    Consulting
    Solution
The 'Manage Item Cost per Warehouse' setting in the Administration -> System Initialisation -> Company Details -> Basic Initialisation tab determines the information displayed in the Stock Audit Report.
'Manage Item Cost per Warehouse' is selected.
If this option is selected, each warehouse defined in SAP Business One maintains its own cost. This warehouse cost is calculated whenever there is a movement of the item in the specific warehouse.
When stocks are issued, the item cost will be from the specific warehouse where the stocks are issued.
The Stock Audit Report should be viewed per warehouse in order to determine the accurate valuation of the item. The option 'Group by Warehouse' can be used for this purpose.
'Manage Item Cost per Warehouse' is NOT selected.
If this option is not selected, a single cost is maintained for the item per company. This cost is determined by the movement of the item within all warehouses.
When stocks are issued, the single item cost determined on the company level will be used.
When the item cost is calculated per company, a stock value may remain in a warehouse which has zero quantity. However, since the cost is managed across all warehouses this is ok, as long as there is an overall positive quantity.
If the valuation of the item is required, the Stock Audit Report should be run for all warehouses and not for a specific warehouse. If the report is viewed per warehouse it may not provide an accurate cumulative value of the stock.
If only the quantity in a specific warehouse needs to be checked then the report can be run per warehouse.
    Example:
    1. Create new item with standard price 10 in all warehouses, since price is managed per company and not per warehouse.
    2. Create goods receipt for this item to two warehouses - quantity 10 to warehouse 01 and quantity 10 to warehouse 02.
    3. Create material revaluation, select warehouse 01 (only one warehouse can be selected for posting purposes), and change the price from 10 to 5.
    4. Create goods issue from warehouse 02 with issued quantity 10.
    5. Run the audit report for this item and:
    a) for all warehouses -> cumulative quantity is 10, cumulative value is 50;
    b) for warehouse 01 -> cumulative quantity is 10, cumulative value is 0;
    c) for warehouse 02 -> cumulative quantity is 0, cumulative value is 50.

  • Difference Between Inventory Audit Report & Inventory Positing List Report

    Dear all,
Please tell me the difference  between these twoInventory Audit Report & Inventory Positing List Report, Because I find difference , when observe Closing and Opening Stock Quantity on 1.4.10 audit report showing 610 units but on 1.4.10 posting list showing 973 units of opening stock
Why so happen ? can anybody explain............
    Thank you
    Komanduri

    Hi......
    Please read below.....
    Inventory Audit:
This report provides an audit trail for the posted inventory transactions in the chart of accounts.
You use this report to make comparisons between the accounting view (inventory balance accounts)
and the logistics view (inventory value displayed by the audit report). The report explains the value changes in inventory accounts.
    Inventory Posting List:
The inventory posting list provides an overview of all postings in the system, based on various selection criteria and sort options. You can generate a report for specified warehouses based on one of the following selection criteria:
    Item
    Business partner
Other: Enables you to specify a selection criterion such as warehouse or sales employee.
    Inventory Transfer:
You use this function to transfer inventory from one warehouse to another. An inventory transfer can also be carried out as a consignment for a customer. The items are then stored in the customeru2019s warehouse and are sold from here.
You cannot change the table after it has been added. If you display an existing inventory transfer later on, none of the fields in the table are active.
You can, therefore, only correct an inventory transfer table that has not been entered correctly by entering a compensatory goods movement later.
For more detail please refer help file in SAP.....

    Hi All,

Appreciate if anyone of you can provide any feedback on this ...

    Hi,
Have you checked SAP Note 1415496?  If that applies to your error, it is a bug.
SAP will deliver patches only for selected releases at its own discretion, based on the business impact and the complexity of the implementation.

  • MBAM 2.0 with SCCM Integration: Recovery Audit Reports errors.

I have installed MBAM 2.0 with SCCM integration according to the following website:
    http://myitforum.com/myitforumwp/2013/06/10/how-to-install-mbam-2-0-with-configmgr-integration/
    Topology:
    SCCM 2012
    SCCM SQL Server
    MBAM Server
    MBAM SQL Server
    Components installed:
Integration components on SCCM 2012 server
Compliance and Audit Reports on SCCM SQL Server
Recovery and Audit Databases on MBAM SQL Server
Self-Service and Administration Monitoring on MBAM Server
Everything is running correctly: SCCM sees compliance reports, keys are populating into the Recovery database. Self-service works correctly as tested.
However, the Recovery Audit Report in the /Helpdesk webpage reports an error:
"Cannot create a connection to data source 'DataSource1'. (rsErrorOpeningConnection)
Browsing to the /Reports page on the MBAM SQL server (with reporting) yields an empty page.
If I install the Audit and Compliance reports onto the MBAM SQL server, those populate (but are empty, as SCCM is handling that component), however, the Recovery Audit Report still yields the same error.
    Ideas?
    Thanks,
    -Patrick

You can put the Audit Reports on the SSRS instance on SCCM Server. But it has its own limitations. What if you want to configure the encrypted configuration within the MBAM environment using SSL certificate. In that case you have to take special
care while using the SSL certificate for configuring the reporting Point as it has been also used by the SCCM.
    Gaurav Ranjan
So, let me get this clear, I can install the Audit Reports onto the SRSS I am using for SCCM and not have to deploy an SRSS instance elsewhere?  The SSL certificate detail is not an issue.  I am desperately trying to avoid yet another instance of
    SRSS.
    Thanks

  • How to make hidden columns shown on Fusion Audit Report.

I have several questions about Fusion Audit Report here:
    1.  How to create Business Object Attributes, the seeded ones can't meet client's requirement.
    2. I can see from the audit report that, there are 10 columns hidden, how to show them? someone said to export the report, then hidden columns will show, I tried, it is not working for me.
    3. How to set date range as parameters.

    Hi,
    1. The creation of business object attributes depends on the customization options available to you. In summary it's really only Design Time Customization (JDeveloper) or Application Composer that permit business object attribute assition. Check out this document for details.
    https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E51367_01/fa_lcm_gs/OADTC/fa-cust-extend-intro.htm#OADTC157
    2. Do you mean in the Configure Business Object Attributes?  Does the View menu on the table not allow this?
    3. Use the Date dropdown and pick Between.
In addition, please review the following resources related to using the Audit report.

  • Data audit report in BW

    Hi All,
I am using NW 7.5, Sp15 and have turned on Data audit for a category in my bpc application. Is there a way to look at the detailed report in BW?
When i use transaction UJU_AUDDATAHDR, it only tells me if a package was run or data was entered. But i'm trying to get the detailed log of the signed data changed for each intersection. I remember seeing this detailed level activity by going to view data audit report in web interface but for some reason when i run the report in web interface it just opens a blank page. I was wondering if its stored anywhere in BW tables as a backup?

  • Deletes in Audit Report

    Hello everyone,
I am investigating an issue and I was curious to get some ideas to see how it came about. Does any one know a way how to delete the actions out of SAP HR without being recorded in the AUDIT report? Thanks for your help.

    Hi Feroz,
I understand your motives. And your problem.
To answer your question: YES, it can be done.
Of course in the process of deleting these records a malicious user will leave *some* traces.
With enough skill however, these traces can't be linked to the deleted data by people without *deep* technical understanding.
In other words: you can delete this data without leaving traces in the "usual places".
I can give you some ideas how to detect such activity.
However, I can't discuss these without giving hints how to manipulate data in the first place.
And clearly, I don't want to give a recipe for fraud on SCN.
If you want to get more details, pls contact me via Twitter.
(No, I will not disclose this information on Twitter, either. Takes more than 140 characters anyway...)
