Bottom of my ipod screen won't respond, so i reset factory settings as suggested, it didn't help and now i can't log in to itunes as my apple id password has numbers in it
few issues here. firstly, the bottom section of my ipod touch 4th gen won't respond. it'll let me slide to unlock but not tap anything, including to change between keyboards which brings me onto my second problem. i did a factory reset because a few people on here had suggested it, but now i can't log into my apple account because my password has numbers in. is there a way to bypass this requirement? or fix my ipod? i can't afford a replacement

Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver off. You may have to use three fingers to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see:

My iPhone has crashed during a sync and now I can't restore from backup as it is asking for password to load the backup yet neither the lock code for the phone or my iTunes Password are working... I have no other password to call upon and need the restore to retrieve info onto my phone, I am a real novice to this...... please help, !!!!
If anyone else is looking for a solution to this same problem, I was able to get it working looking through several older discussions.
The solution was to use the password that I had on my iTunes account the very first time I set up the iPhone about a year ago. I changed my iTunes password about 10 months ago; but apparently, the backups continue to use the password that existed when the phone was first set up.
A couple of troubling things with this are that 1) I didn't apply a password when I did the backup this afternoon so I don't understand why it was required when I did the restore a few hours later. and 2) it makes zero sense why iTunes would not be smart enough to use the current accout password when requiring the password to restore from a backup made with no password.
I thought iTunes and Apple were smarter than that. With so many posts stating exactly the same problem, it is clear that this is bug in the software.

I changed my Apple ID password and now I can't log into iCloud. In addition I am unable to sign out or exit the iCloud System Preference page and have to force a shut down using the power off button to get rid of it. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks
If the Preference Pane hangs, hit comand-option-escape and force quit System Preferences to avoid having to reboot.
In order to sign out you need the original password if you have set up 'Find My ....'. However you can't now change the password back to the original one (as you are not allowed to re-use a password).In this situation only Support can help you.

You will have to format your iPad. Looks like that's the only way to reset your password.
Formatting your iPad
Turn off your iPad, turn on iTunes, hold large button down on ipad while connecting the white ipad cord to your Pc.
When the window prompts format iPad,let the button go and press format button on iTunes.

My iPod synced automatically and now I can't play songs on iTunes.
I used to play my songs from my iPod all the time on iTunes. One day, I connected my iPod to my computer to charge it up and it started to sync automatically for no reason and now I can't seem to 'rewind' this and go back to the way things were.
What has happened? I have never synced my songs before (at least I don't think I have) but my songs on my iPod are very light in color and are non-playable on both of my computers now. :o(B-rock,
Thank you for replying to the issue I am having with my iPod. I think I may have tried to download an update for the iPod on iTunes, but I never completed the download or installed it, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it?? I don't know if I should try to restore it to it's original settings or if that will delete all the songs I have on there. When I uncheck the sync button it deletes everything, so I know I can't do that option.
I don't think my kids have downloaded a newer version of iTunes on this computer and I know I didn't on my laptop, so that rules that possibility out.
It is just the craziest thing. They are there one day, then one a different day, I plug it in to charge and bam, it starts to sync out of the blue, and I have no control over what is happening.
I am not one that is very 'iPod literate' so I have no clue what it means to 'sync' the music, so in a nutshell, I'm not even sure what really happened when my music synced..... I know how to create the playlists, add the music, add the pictures, and do the basic stuff, but when it comes to BIG stuff, my kids know more than I do.... :o/ -

Reset Password using Recovery HD
Boot into Recovery Partition.
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”. -

I did the new update of the itunes for my itunes and ipod touch (4th generation) and now when I try to log into my apps my apple ID window pops open and keeps popping back open when I try to log in. I tried downloading the newer Itunes, it didn't change anything in my Ipod Touch that apple ID still won't work. When I first updated to the 10.6 I was using a very old version of Itunes and it changed a lot in my ipod which I think had something to do with it now messing up.

Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes much longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Then follow the instructions here > OS X: Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password
When you are done, click Restart from the Apple () menu.

I updated windows 10 and now I can't log in - I just get a purple screen!!
Windows 10 installed onto my laptop on Friday and it was working fine for the day.Now I have tried to turn it on today and I can't log in or do anything, there is just a purple screen and dots going round in a circle.If I press ctrl+alt+delete I get a screen which allows me to shut down or restart, but when I restart it I just get the same purple screen.Please can someone help me? (Please note, I don't know if the operating system in 32-bit or 64 bit, I just selected one)
This may not help but I updated over the weekend and it took a long long time even though I have a dv7 laptop with i5 chips and 6Gb memory. The circling dots are shown when windows is doing something - try booting and leaving it for 1/2 hour - it takes ages for mine to boot at the moment!
