BPEL Import of external created models - any detailed documentation?

Hi,
I want to import a BPEL into an Integration Process in XI that I have created with an external modellinbg program.
And (think roundtrip) I want to export BPEL from XI and import it into an external modeller.
Where to start? Can someone point me to something like a language reference, how SAP is handling BPEL? Or is it a 1:1 implementation with no SAP specifica?

As far as i know, such a guide is not provided by SAP. And there should be a reason for that. SAP is moving towards open standards and as one of its initiatives, it has started using BPEL because it is an open standard based technique. Thats why BPEL developed in other applications are also supported in XI. e.g. ARIS

It would be great to have examples and more information on what the consequences are if parameters are set too high or too low.
It would be great to have some real life examples that tell you what to consider when setting the lower memory threshold for the webi processing server, for example - or the maximum documents in cache.
I have found the handbook and the sizing guide but nothing in particular for the parameter settings of the servers.

Error while creating model classes, operation aborted in NWDS

Hi All,
When i select Adaptive rfc 2 model and then search for the RFC, when i select RFC and click on next i get an error while importing :
Error while creating model classes, operation aborted.
It is working fine in visual composer and i have activated function module, RFC but getting same error. It is also working in web service navigator also.
Can any one help me out??

I have tested the JCO destinations they are working fine and i created a new pair of JCO destinations but unable to import the Adaptive RFC2 Model gives same error but Adaptive webservices are working fine in my NWDS7.2

I am unable to create model in other projects also.
I have sufficient amount of memory in my drive.
I have imported the DC to other NWDS but it gives same error.

Error while importing Adaptive Web Service Model in WDJ

Login failed error while importing an adaptive RFC model

Hi there,
I am trying to import a adaptive RFC model for a BAPI from a 46D system, to which I have connected using VPN from my WAS J2EE server. I have given the login details as Single server(Not load balancing), and given the user login details. However, I am not able to proceed further because it gives me the error 'Name or password is incorrect, please re-enter'. This is strange because I am giving the correct name and password, and I am able to login to this system through SAP GUI using same logon credentials.
I am confused as to what it is expecting to move forward. I have tried changing case of the user name, restarting my WAS etc. The client is correct, and the login language is EN.
Could anybody have any clues or have you faced a similar problem?

I have had the same problem.
I think whoever programmed the logon routine at that point should be fired immediately and banned from programming for life! Logging on is a very basic and well-understood task, and programmed gozillions of times since 1940s. Common sense and unwritten rules of programming dictate simply if you make something case-sensitive, then you should accept an input in its original form (i.e. password in smalls, or whatever) but not change it to uppercase and then work case-sensitively. Either this, or you program everything case-insensitively.

I know that we can import XSD in Design and create data type,my question is:
1. Can i import an XSD thats been created in message mapping and use that to create my data type in design.

For your first question: i don't know exactly what you mean that the the xsd you create in the data mapping steps. So can you explain it in details?
For your 2nd question: Sure you can write your own XSD to create a data type. And i will give you an example xsd file format. Then you can import it in the XSD tab view.

Message no. O3453 "No additional quantities imported from external applicat

When I run LQ01, the following message appears Message no. O3453 "No additional quantities imported from external application"
Function MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT has been called for an HPM material (additional units of measure), but no additional quantities and UoM have been passed to the function. Stock levels cannot be posted correctly without this data.
This material is an HPM MAterial and have additional units of measure.
Any body can help me.

Importing XSD to Create a Msg Type.

Can anyone plz tell me how to create a msg type based on external XSD.I hav gone thru help.sap.com. there it is mentioned for Data Type.It is given that to go for Tools->Import XSD.but i din't find any such option there.Instead, i hav gone for creating External Definition and was successful in creating a DataType using External Definition.But to my surprise, the created Data type is not listed under Data types.Instead it is listed under External Definitions. This is for Data Types.But i need for Message Type.Plz help me out as i hav very severe dead lines.

Hi Anil,
You could create Message Type (MT) in 3 ways :
1. Manual: Create Data Type (DT) & Create MT refering to it.
2. Import XSD as DT: Create a new DT by giving a name. The structure can be imported from a XSD. Tools-> Import XSD. (Note: the name of DT here should match the 'complex type' name in XSD). Then create a MT refering to this DT.
3. Import XSD as External Definition: An XSD can be imported into External definitions, and this creates the MT directly, and no DT required. They appear only under 'External Definitions'. Note: This XSD should contain a 'complex type' definition, which stands for DT. And also a root element declaration refering to this type, which stands for MT. In this case, we can have one XSD containing multiple DTs and MTs within it. All these MTs can be seen under the 'Messages' tab within an External Definition.
Once an MT is created in one of these 3 ways, the other concepts of Interfaces, mappings etc. remain the same.
Hope this gives the differences, and clarifies your concerns.

Unable to create Model from DOE Data Object

I created a Mobile Laptop WebDynpro DC in NWDS 7.1, the build and deploy work fine.
The problem is that when I attempt to create a Model based on a Data Object from the
Mobile Middleware 7.1 DOE, I always get an exception when the Data Object metadata is
imported (the last step of the Model Creation Wizard).
Here's the exception :

I know this is not related to Middleware authorization, I tested with a userid with full DOE authorization.
When I display the Data Object metadata from the Middleware, it shows as status 'active'.
The exception seems to complain about the backend key, but there is a backend key field in
the Data Object.
I have the same exception even with any SAP delivered Data Objects (MAM30_001, etc..).
any thoughts on what the problem is ?

Hi Yannick,
This type of error can occur with local non-dc Mobile App when some jars required for the model generation are missing.
The easiest way to fix this is to create a DC for your Mobile app from the
Mobile App Offline perspective.

ECC Client export and import with BW data model

Dear BW Expert,
We are now have BW QAS system which is connecting to ECC600QAS.
Now we are going to:
     First >> Export data ECC600QAS.
     Second Drop this client
     Third Create client with the same logical name as ECC600QAS and then import again with the same logical system name is ECC600QAS. Ofcourse we will re-establish again connection between ECC600QAS and BW QAS.
In this case, do we need to create all data model or mapping data in BW again. Please help on this.

All your notes do not mention anything about in case Client refresh with the same logical name.
Our case is that we do:
      Step 1:         Export client logical name is "ECC600QAS".
      Step 2:         Drop client "ECC600QAS"
      Step 3:         Import again and create the same client logical name "ECC600QAS".
      In this case do we need to create again all data model, mappying rule or transformation.
      Really, I can not found any idea there in all your note.

Creating model relations

I am using the Java Bean model importer in Web Dynpro. I understand that you can not import objects (only primitive types) using the Java Bean importer so you have to create model relations in Web Dynpro. But I have not seen any examples or how to's on this. How do you create a model relation in Web Dynpro that corresponds to a backend object retrieved from a Java Bean?

8.4RC mentions support for Fuji lens profiles - any details known?

Curious if this is new support or if it's always been there and now ACR shows a message about it. I installed the ACR 8.4RC and loaded a RAW file from my X-T1. Looking at the Lens Corrections tab and the Profile sub-tab, there's now a message at the bottom that says "Built-in lens profile applied: XF14mmF2.2 R. Click for more info." When I clicked, a small dialog box appeared which offered a little more info:

This raw file contains a built-in lens profile for correcting chromatic aberration and vignetting. The profile has already been applied automatically to this image.
I experimented and got this for RAWs shot with my X-E2 as well and also my 18-55 and 55-200 lenses. I then went back to ACR 8.3 and confirmed that the messages are not there.
I notice that despite what they say, going to the Color sub-tab and checking Remove Chromatic Aberration was still required for some images.
I didn't see this aspect of the update listed in any release notes. Does anyone know any details about this? Is there a way to turn it off if so desired? I'm curious if the Fuji profile is as good as one that could be created with the Lens Profile Creator. The message doesn't mention geometric correction which would be nice.

The information about what built-in lens profile is being applied is new to ACR 8.4, but the application of built-in lens profiles is not new.
Whether those lens profiles do a perfect job is another matter, of course. And just like in previous versions, you cannot turn the built-in profiles off, but if someone creates an external profile those can also be applied.
The one thing to be careful of is if the built-in lens profile also corrects the same aspect as the external profile, for example, vignetting, then it’ll get double-corrected and the way to avoid this is to set the manual strength setting of that profile correction parameter, either vignetting or distortion, to its minimum value, effectively turning off the external profile’s contribution.

Error Importing ECT Odata BDC Model to Sharepoint Online BCS

When I try to import the BDC model (of Odata Service with anonymous authentication) to sharepoint 2013 online, got the
error "Application definition
import failed. The following error occurred: Unable to connect to the remote server Error was encountered at or just before Line: '63'
If I import the same BDC model to a Sharepoint 2013 on premise it works!.
Any idea about how to fix it?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you encountered with an error when importing BDC to SharePoint Online.
Before you begin this procedure, make sure you have the following:
    • The .bdcm file that you extracted in
Extract an external content type to a BDCM file for the Business Connectivity Services hybrid Scenario.
    • An account with administrative rights to your SharePoint Online tenancy and administrative rights to the BDC Metadata Store.
In addition, please make sure you import BDC to SharePoint Online correctly.

How can I set BPEL server enviorment and create BPEL domain?

Without use the http console, how can I set BPEL server enviorment and create BPEL domain?
When I try to use API like below

How can i use row set iterator to create multiple dummy detail rows upfront

Hello i am new to ADF and jdeveloper and have a Forms 9i/PLSQL background.
I have a 1 to many master to detail view link and 2 vo's one for each of the master and detail table.
I am trying unsuccsessfully to create 7 unique detail rows up front to populate at a later stage.
I have created a master record with primary key being staff number and week ending date.
i then use code below to try and create 7 detail records - P.S i have trimmed it to the first 2 for demonstration.
I am using
RowSetIterator rsi = this.mydetailVO.getRowSetIterator();
Row newRow1=rsi.createRow();
newRow1.setAttribute("Staff Num","123456A");
newRow1.setAttribute("Week_Ending_Date", "2010-01-01");
newRow1.setAttribute("Claim_Date", "2010-01-01");
newRow1.setAttribute("Day", "Sun");
rsi.insertRow(newRow1);
Row newRow2=rsi.createRow();
newRow2.setAttribute("Staff Num","123456A");

However it does create two rows but it always writes over the first row with the details of the second row so they are not unique.
How can i get a new unique row inserted with different details to the firat and how then do i access it uniquely.

I have tried the following and still i get 2 rows created but the first one gets overwritten with the last one. I'm confused as to why the inbuilt insert row doesnt move it on to the next available row. Any idea what i'm not doing in between inserting rows?
