BPEL Invoke from B2B through Java Callout

Hi,
I would like to know if its possible to invoke a BPEL process from B2B other than AQ. I need not pass any payload to BPEL , I just want to invoke a BPEL process.
Thanks,
Phani

It is possible to inovoke BPEL from a call out, however it is not preferred and supported approach. Apart from AQ, we also have File, FTP and JMS integration with BPEL.

    Hi ,
       I found a document which says that MDM4J is the legacy API and is considered deprecated .The MDM Java API is the new one .I have both of them in the java build path . I am not sure if this is that cause of the problem .
    Now I had a look at the javadoc for the new API but I am not able to locate the class to obtain a connection to the MDM server from a custom application being built in Netweaver Developer Studio . Can someone help me out with the same ?What would be the code to obtain the connection to the MDM server with the new JAVA API ?

  • How to call a BPEL process from Oracle Apps Java Concurrent program

    Hello,
    I need to trigger a BPEL process from Oracle Apps. Can anybody tell me how to do that? I have two triggering option--
    1. On button click from a Form 6i screen
    2. Using Java Concurrent program.
    Thanks in advance.
    Debkanta

    I am not sure how concurrent program works, but may be one of the way might work out, let me know if Java Concurrent Program works a bit different way
    - [if async] Through concurrent program, you can insert message token to db or aq, and BPEL can be instantiated from there
    or
    - If it supports pure java call, then you can look at multiple documents (e.g. http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/bpel/pdf/orabpel-Tutorial7-InvokingBPELProcesses.pdf) to invoke your process
    - You can also use oracle db utility to invoke soap operation and get the result back

    Hi i am using soa suite 10.1.3 and i'm trying to invoke a bpel process from a java client

    import com.oracle.bpel.client.Locator;
    import com.oracle.bpel.client.ServerException;
    import com.oracle.bpel.client.dispatch.IDeliveryService;

    The problem that i had firs was that the security.properties file could not be found in the config directory of the projects root. I think i resolved this problem by copying the context.properties file from teh rmi tutorial from the folder 102.InvokingProcesses and rename it.
    After this the error that occure was that the file ejb.properties could not be found in the same directory as the security file.
    Does anyone know how to resolve this problem or where did i miss anythink?
    I tried until now all the examples in the tutorial step by step and i couldnt manage to run one

  • Email sending through java callout in osb

    In osb -- proxy service -- service callout -- i am getting a value using dbadapter select
    Then i am using if then condition to perform some operations
    After this step i need to notify this value to a user saying ... the account balance is this much
    In our project already there is a java callout program to send emails to the concerned people ... it is used to notify some other thing like reprocessing activity etc., which was previously developed.
    If i want to use that java callout option to send emails ... do i need to write a new java method and use that class file in this email sending java program and route my program to this service
    Will this work ?
    Thanks,
    Rahul

    do i need to write a new java method and use that class file in this email sending java program and route my program to this serviceYou may directly re-use that existing Java callout if it exposes a static method for starting execution. If it does not expose a static method, then you may write your own class which exposes a static method to be called by OSB, and from that method you may invoke your existing Java callout.

  • Different when BPEL invoked from Console & from a JSP

    Hi All,
    I have a very Simple BPEL Process which, which when invoked from the BPEL Console is working fine, but when invoked from the JSP, throws a "SelectionFailure" Fault in the Assign activity.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks
    Chandra

    In the audit trail, under the "receiveInput" activity, I'm able to see the values that I passed as the Input, but in the next "assignActivity", it throws this selectionFailure Fault saying the variable value is empty.
    My input is only 1 value and the XML is pretty straight forward.

    If you were expecting the spool file to be translated to ASCII with carriage returns, line feeds, and form feeds, here is the magical piece of code:
    SpooledFile splf = new SpooledFile(sys, splfName, splfNum, jobName, jobUser, jobNum);
    PrintParameterList pl = new PrintParameterList();
    pl.setParameter(SpooledFile.ATTR_MFGTYPE, "*WSCST");
    pl.setParameter(SpooledFile.ATTR_WORKSTATION_CUST_OBJECT, "/QSYS.LIB/QWPDEFAULT.WSCST");
    InputStream in = splf.getTransformedInputStream(pl);
    For reasons not immediately clear to me, the first character in the file appears to be a null byte (hex 0). I also believe that CRs and LFs only appear as needed to return to the beginning of the line (CR) and the feed one line (LF). It is permissible for example to have <data><CR><LF><LF><LF> (i.e. feed three lines). I also assume that <data><CR><data><CR><LF> would result in overprinting (missing line feed). I have even seen <data><CR><CR>, and I assume the second CR should be ignored.
    I have not exhaustively tested these scenarios, but from some of the problems we've had, the above description seems like a reasonable way to think about the data stream

    I want t publish a message from B2B using java callout. How do i configure connection factories on 10.1.2 OAS. In current OAS we deploy the AQResourceAdapter, Can we deploy the same on OAS10.1.2 but we dont have a option of deploying a RAR file on OAS10.1.2.
    Can you please guie me how to configure connection factory on OAS10.1.2 or guide me to a documentation which will help me in setting up the same

    Hi ,
    The connection factories defined in the App server is not available in the callout. you have to create connections directly from the callout.

    Hello,
    We are trying to send the payload information back to the client for a failed BPEL Transaction from B2B's b2b_instancemessage view. We are enqueing messages to IP_OUT_QUEUE using BPEL. We see the payload coming correctly in the B2B Business Message Reports. But we don't see the payload coming in the b2b_instancemessage view for failed B2B transactions. How can we see the payload in b2b_instancemessage view for failed B2B transactions as well? or How can we retrieve the Payload information from B2B?

    I am not sure about the PDK API to get the group name. But using LDAP API its easy to get the User Group.
    If you find the answer to get the group name using PDK API, Please update in forum. It will really help others.

  • PI 7.1 Access to Dynamic Configuration through Java Class

    My Current scenario involves IDCO -> FILE communications in PI 7.1 using XSL where the file name is dynamic.
    I have attempted calling a Java Class from XSL with the use SAPXMLTOOL kit option set in the adaptor and it works but I need to be able to call the transform method
    public void transform(TransformationInput arg0, TransformationOutput arg1)
    from XSL so I can access the message and update the File Name via Dynamic Configuration.
    Whilst I can call a static class with in the object I can not call transform with the correct arguments (arg0, arg1). I need access to arg0 (payload) to set/figure out the filename. I can calculate the filename in XSL and pass it to the Java but in a static method it is useless as it need to access the arg0 which is a object and obviously non-static context.
    Is this possible ? How do I get access to Dynamic Configuration from XSL through Java in 7.1 ?
    I have successfully called a static method but that is no help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Suraj,
       Unfortunately you link isnt operational but thankyou anyway, I have managed to call as Java class as per my original post, but a static method does not allow me to get a handle to the Dynamic Configuration Variables in the message.
    It seems importing the 7.0 LIBS may be an option and Im not entirely sure I have that option.
    It certainly isnt possible to use the JDK5 XML implementation to even call a static method on an Java OBJ from XSL (obviously the USE SAPXMLTOOLKIT option is there for a reason).
    I think and again I could be wrong but direct access via XSLT..
    LINK:http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/e2/e13fcd80fe47768df001a558ed10b6/frameset.htm
    Is what Im looking for, I shall report back success or failure but the doco seems to fit the bill. Im not sure why I wanted to instatiate a sperate Java class when it can all exist in the XSLT.

  • OSB JAR Resources for Java callout in Cluster

    Hi,
    I have a JAR Resource, which has one simple java class with one static method. I invoke this method using Java Callout in my proxy service.
    This all works fine if I am in single node environment, when I move to Cluster two node environment, I export the current single node config and import in cluster config, all services work fine except that JAR is available but I cannot access any methods and when I click on this JAR Resource it says "JAR Resource not found". Is there a special consideration for moving custom JARs to OSB Cluster.
    Please can someone provide some details on this, greatly appreciate.

    Here are some more details, basically I have a JAR which has methods, so I created a JAR resource in cluster, and it uploads my jar successfully. I see a resource name now, when I click on this resource it says "resource not found".
    If I do the same exact steps in non-clustered environment, it just works fine without problems.
    In cluster configuration I went to each node including admin and verified that .ar file is there.
    If I export now what I have in cluster, the exported configuration JAR does have a mycustomjar.Archive file. But I am not able to access it in console.
    Also I want to say thanks for helping me, please let me know what I can verify more.
    thanks
