BPEL Manager ; NetBeans 5.5

Hi,
i am trying to use the BPEL-Engine and the Sun-Application-Server which are included in NetBeans 5.5 (Beta 2) and code a Program to manage the running Workflow-Tasks.
Is there an API like the Oracle-BPEL-Process-Manager API (orabpel.jar) with them i can find out the status of the Workflow-Tasks, which Tasks are deployed and so on?
Thanks for your answers.
Using:
NetBeans 5.5 (Beta 2)
Java 6

lookup at "java:comp/env/jdbc/test"
and use the com.mysql.jdbc.Driver as URL driver class

  • Is there any manual about using DB2 as storage of Oracle BPEL Manager?

    Hi
thank you for reading my post
Is there any manual about using DB2 as database of ORACLE BPEL manager ?
any one tried to port and test the system on DB2?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
as you can read in the manual:
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28980/overview.htm#sthref26
Oracle Database Lite, if you use the SOA Suite Basic installation option
Oracle Database Lite is configured to support Unicode. DB_CHAR_ENCODING is defaulted to UTF8 in the polite.ini file.
    Oracle9i Database Server
    Oracle Database 10g
The BPEL schema includes PL/SQL packages. They will not run on DB2...
The datasources are configured to Oracle. You will have to change them to DB2...
and it is not supported ;-)

  • Any specifications about wsdls that works in BPEL Manager for partnerlinks

Is there any specifications for the wsdls/schemas that are supported by BPEL manager?
i observed issues when I try to make a partner link with any external web services (which runs out side the bpel manager).
the most common errors I saw
1."Exception :Problem building schema!" when trying to expand partner link operation input/output values
    2. not able to list the operations of wsdls in designer partner links
Most of the times it happens to consume wsdls which are generated by some other auto generated tools(like bea WL, specific servers, Xfire etc) to create partner links with!. at the same time we don't have any control on wsdls.
Of course some time by changing wsdl namespaces, etc we can solved few problems where ever we can identify the issue
So what i am trying to hear is, is there any specifications that I can impose/inform my external parners in order to consume their descriptions through designer partner link establishment option!
    thanks in advance!
    jagan

    Hi,
in a nutshell the buzzword to follow is ws-i compatibilty,, there are several kits on the internet to test your wsdl .. or simple import it into a jdev 10.1.3 and right click on it ..

  • For what does the BPEL Manager need a domain ?

For what does the BPEL engine need a domain ?
Where (in which file) is specified to which domain the BPEL Manager
    connects to?
Is it a difference if the domains are defined in table
    orabpel.domain
    or just
    domain
? With which user/password/service does to BPEL Manager connect to
Oracle DB to search for its domain?
Background: My domain "default" exists in table but BEPL Manager could not connect here

We currently have 3 domains for BPEL. We use them because they a) serve different purposes, b) we tweak the domain level threads.
I believe bpel manager will, by default, connect to the which ever domain starts with the letter closest to A.
I also think the user account is orabpel, which connects to the bpel schema.

  • What is administration port od OC4J which BPEL manager is deployed into it?

    Hi
Thank you for reading my post
How I can open administration console of OC4J which BPELmanager us as its underlying apps?
I want to change Connection pool definition.
    Thanks

You can do this through the Enterprise Manager website. You can log into it through:
    http://<servername>:<port>/em
Select the oc4j instance were your BPEL is deployed, and select the 'Administration' option. There you can find a link to the JDBC administration page.

  • Java Card Manager NetBeans plug-in

Just to announce, I've uploaded a simple plug-in for NetBeans that provides basic functionality for Java Cards. Send APDU commands to card or simulator, browse content loaded on card, load & install & delete applets, open secure channel... Plug-in follows Open platform specification.
It has been used with GemXpresso cards (and works well) so there is no experience with other cards, but suppose that the card is OP compliant, it should work ok.
I have some ideas to improve and to extend it to support full OP/GP specs as well as plug-in for Java Card project type. However, I have no idea about what Sun prepares as tools with JC3.0 (I've noticed that it will be NB plug-ins too).
    http://plugins.netbeans.org/PluginPortal/faces/PluginDetailPage.jsp?pluginid=10935

    Hello, neinaggar1.
Well, on NetBeans plug-in portal, I've uploaded Java Card Manager plug-in. This plug-in brings to NetBeans the possibility to communicate (APDU commands, installing applets, etc.) with card or running simulator; no project types.
In comments on plug-in discussion, i.e. http://plugins.netbeans.org/PluginPortal/faces/PluginDetailPage.jsp?pluginid=10935 , I've put a link to second plug-in Java Card Project that provides the "project" functionality - new project type (new project type category "Java Card"), code completion, compiling, converting, starting simulator... However, this plug-in is in "beta" stage because it has some unsolved pitfalls - for example, you can provide just one export path for converting and there is a problem with plug-in depedency to internal NetBeans modules so it is strongly dependent on certain ide version (and probably even on its build).
Check the link above and discussion present there.
    Just a note:
the access to the functionality Java Card Manager plug-in is from "Service" tab.
the access to the functionality Java Card Project plug-in is from properties (right click on the project name in project treeview) of existing java card project made by this plug-in or via new project wizard to make a new java card project.

  • High CPU on BPEL Manager until Dehydration store purged

We are seeing that if we get run-time exceptions while running BPEL processes we will have high CPU on the system until we shut down the BPEL instance, purge the dehydration store, and restart the instance. If we shut the instance down and restart the instance without the purge we are getting seriously high CPU usage, the only cure being the purge. Any help or thoughts appreciated.
    Art

When the SYSTEM process uses high cpu, it typically means there is an IO issue. Open up process explorer from sysinternals to see what thread on the SYSTEM process is using the CPU.  Typically this is caused by slow disk or antivirus getting in the
way. You could temporarily disable the antivirus real scan to see if the issue clears up. If the issue clears up you should verify if the recommended antivirus exclusions are in place.

  • Oracle BPEL process Manager Full Cycle Error

    Background introduction:
This is my first time install SOA, Database Server and JDeveloper in my laptop (I am not sure whether they can be installed in one machine). It seems like the installation didn't pass the Web Services Verification. I hope this won't influence other services in my SOA.
    Problem:
When I put my username and password in the BPEL Manager Console window, it let me passed it. And then there is a box let me put in the Domain.
    Then this error jump out:
I hope some one can help me on this.

An unexpected error has occurred while executing your request. This is most likely related to a defect in the Oracle BPEL Process Manager product. We apologize you can post the error to the OTN forum and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • How to config the proxy of Bpel process manager(with password)

HI, i met the quetion as below
The The Oracle BPEL Process Designer & Manager server is installed on my computer in domin of my company, so if One of the BPEL processes deployed on the BPEL server needs to access a synchronous Web service hosted outside the firewall .i need to config the proxy, but the proxy of my company needs my ID and password to access outside . after I congfig the proxy
option of designer and build the Process, there will be pop-up a dialog box and ask for my ID & password .But how i config the proxy of Bpel process manager?? I read the tecnote about HTTP Proxy Configuration and config the proxy in the obsetenv.bat ,but it seems has no information about my ID&password in obsetenv.bat.
The question is How can i let the Bpel process manager know my proxy and ID&password ?? pls help me ,thx!

I have set these value in obsetenv.bat as follows, and I restart the Bpel manager server and designer.
but the same issue still occur:
    set OB_JAVA_PROPERTIES="-Djavax.wsdl.factory.WSDLFactory=oracle.j2ee.ws.wsdl.factory.WSDLFactoryImpl" "-Dhttp.proxySet=true" "-Dhttp.proxyHost=pxysha" "-Dhttp.proxyPort=8080" "-Dhttp.proxyUser=oocldm\hanfi" "-Dhttp.proxyPassword=123456" "-Dhttp.nonProxyHosts=localhost".
At the same time, I have set proxy server in bpel designer of eclipse, after I build the process,it can works well(which display BUILD SUCCESSFUL), but the bpel server display error message as below :
    Exception Name:
    Failed to read wsdl
    Exception Description:

  • Authorization Error  While  Invoking BPEL Process Via RMI

    Hi All,
I have been trying to invoke BPEL Process via RMI client.
I use the following piece of code for BPEL Process Invocation...

    public RMIClient() {

    Hashtable jndi = new Hashtable ();
    jndi.put (Context.PROVIDER_URL, "opmn:ormi://host:6010:oc4j_soa/orabpel");
    jndi.put (Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory");
    jndi.put (Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL,"oc4jadmin"); // username of Bpel Manager
    jndi.put (Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS,"welcome1"); //password of BPEL Manager

    Map payload = res.getPayload();
When I try to connect to my locally deployed BPEL process Manager and Invoke the same process (MyFirstBPELProjectProcess ) it works fine and creates an Instance on BPEL Process Manager Console.
When I tried Invoking the same BPEL process (MyFirstBPELProjectProcess ) deployed on a Remote machine ,it doesnt create an Instance.
I believe my connections settings are all correct ,since it doesnt give me an connection issue on my standalone client.
I tried looking at the following file default_group~oc4j_soa~default_group~1.log available opmn folder under SOA Suite OAS and there
    are no errors.
Could some body point the log files that I need to look at.
    I am sort of clueless...
    Regards
    Harish

CAn you post the error. HAve you made sure that the remote machine has connection on the port 6010. You can test this with the folloing command from the remote machine
    telnet host 6010
obviously replace host with the fully qualified host name of the SOA machine.
    cheers

I am trying to attach fault policy to my bpel process. The fault conditions are working fine but the email part from the action class is not able to send email. The code execute properly , i can't see any error message in the log but I cant access the email in my inbox.

Could any expert advise pls ?What's your BPEL version ? SOA Suite version ? Any major change prior ? I assume you are using OID. What's the version ?
You must provide more information .

Is your BPEL console still valid ?BPEL is not valid. My BPEL manager is 10.1.3.3 . I just install a MLR patch.
    anythings go wrong ?

  • RAC node outage causes SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 BPEL  failure

Using weblogic 9.2 and the SOA Suite 10.1.3.4. We use a 10g Oracle RAC ( 2 nodes ); the WL cluster has a multi data source of 2 pools, each pool pointing to a single node in the rac, each pool deployed to the cluster, and the multi data source in load-balancing mode.
So the other night, one of the db nodes had a hardware failure ( ironically, with a remote monitoring / management card ). Annoying, but it should not have caused the BPEL servers to be in "FAILED NOT RESTARTABLE" status the next morning.

Both managed instances of the BPEL cluster failed, even though the 1st node of the Oracle RAC was still available.
Our 10.3 cluster, also using multi data sources to the same RAC for the OSB components, simply went on about its business using the remaining rac node pool.
Seems to be a single point of failure...

We haven't changed the JDBC connection string yet, but we did run a test in the same environment while Oracle support considers the situation.
For the test, we simply shutdown one node of the RAC and watched to see what happens. Within the space of a minute, the JDBC "Failed Reserve Request Count" was increasing by thousands on every refresh of the screen. We restarted the RAC node after 5 minutes, by which time the "Failed Reserve Request Count" was over 190,000
The 2 BPEL managed servers remained in Running status and each created a 660 MB log file within that 5 minutes. In the original outage, the nodes were down for about 15 minutes. Most of the logging is being generated from within the oracle.tip.esb classes, not by the weblogic classes. It looks like that once the pool pointing to the downed RAC node becomes disabled, the Oracle BPEL code is still trying to use it even though the multi-source JNDI is the published lookup:
