BPEL Server Connection

Hi All,
Somehow am not able to start my BPEL Server now. It is giving error while coneectiong from JDev.
Also BPEL Console is not accessible.
BPEL startup window shows error like
JSP-0008 Unable to dispatch JSP Page :Exception:java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\BPEL_Homel\system\appserver\oc4j
\j2ee\home\default-web-app\BPELConsole\default\index.jsp (The system cannot find the path specified)
thanks

Have you performed any upgrade recently?
There has been a problem with the orabpel.ear file in some environments. The issue
can be verified by checking the size of the orabpel.ear files in the the following locations
$ORACLE_HOME/bpel/system/services/lib
and
$ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/oc4j_soa/applications
If only one of them is of size 2530260 bytes, then you have hit upon the cause for this issue in your environment.
Solution
Copy the orabpel.ear from $ORACLE_HOME/bpel/system/services/lib (the one that is of size 2530260 bytes) to the location
$ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/oc4j_soa/applications (to replace the one that is not 2530260 bytes) and restart.

  • BPEL server connection failed in Integration Server connect

I am creating an 'Integration server' in the JDeveloper.
After furnishing the details (App server name, Host, Port) on testing the connection it gets failed for BPEL process manager server:
    Application Server: OK
    BPEL Process Manager Server: FAILED
    ESB Server: OK
The BPEL identity service failed to start because of the error: java.io.FileNotFoundException:http://hostname:8888/integration/services/testconnection/BPELConnection
    Any ideas?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi Françoise,
I think Application Server Test uses OPMN Port and for testing BPEL and ESB HTTP port is used.
Do you use default 8888 HTTP Port Number? When you create a Integration Server Connection it is default value, but maybe you have installed Oracle Application Server on another http port.

  • Error while creating Connection to  BPEL Server From Jdev.

    Hi All,
I Installed an Oracle XE database on my windows machine , and Run the IRCA tool to create Orabpel, Oraesb and Orawsm in the XE database
Deinstalled my current SOA Suite[Basic] and Reinstall the SOA Suite using the "advanced" option.
Started the server and could able to create a connection to AS, but when i try to create a connection to BPEL Server it's error out with below error message.
    Application Server: OK
    BPEL Process Manager Server: FAILED
    ESB Server: FAILED
    What could be the reason..
I didn't modified any file in AS directory with Database details ,Since while installing SOA Suite it asked for the DB Details and forced me to execute all the scripts against this DB,So i assume it knows the connection string.
Let me know how can i solve this issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    -Siddhardha

    HI
    In JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0,
    1. Click on the tab for the Connections navigator.
    2. Right click on Application Server and select New Application Server Connection.
    3. Enter a descriptive name for the new connection, and select the appropriate connection type from the drop down list. Click Next.
    4. Specify oc4jadmin for User Name, then enter the oc4jadmin password. Click Next.
    5. Select Single Instance for Connect To, then provide the host name where BPEL is installed, the OPMN port number, and the OC4J instance name (the default for 10.1.3.1 is oc4j_soa). Click Next.
    6. Click Test Connection. If you have been successful, you should see "Success!"
    7. Now, right click on Integration Server and select New Integration Server Connection.
    8. Specify a connection name and click Next.
    9. In the drop down list by Application Server, select the Application Server Connection you just created. Again, specify the host name where BPEL is installed and the port number. This port number will be the same that you specified for the Integration Server Connection to the home OC4J container. Click Next.
    10. Test the connection. You should see something like:
    Application Server: OK
    BPEL Process Manager Server: OK
    ESB Server: OK
    11. Now, return to the Applications navigator, and try to redeploy your process using the Integration Server Connection just created. (It is possible that you will have to close JDeveloper and then reopen it for this to work.)

  • Impossible to connect to BPEL server from Jdeveloper

We have installed the soa suite in the following way
    -     oracle home 1 on server 1: http server
    -     oracle home 2 on server 1: apps server with two oc4j, one for the jsso and em and another one for bpel.
I want to deploy the bpel process from jdeveloper.
I first do a server connection to the server 1. When I try to test the connection I get an error
Error getting OC4J Process for: opmn-home+oc4j-oraclesoa.smartwavesa.com-6004-default:
Error connecting to OPMN (is it running?): Connection refused: connect
So I tried to modify the opmn.xml of oracle home 2 by adding the following line
    <ipaddr remote=”0.0.0.0” request=”0.0.0.0”/>
After this modification I am able to connect to oracle home 2 from jdeveloper BUT the http URL of enterprise manager and bpel console are no more available.
So my question is how can I enable the deployment of bpel process from Jdeveloper to the server 1?
    Thanks for your help

Yes admin instance is running on home 2 and more precisely on oc4j_home.
BPEL and ESB is also running on home 2 but on another oc4j oc4j_soa
If I use the standard configuration (the one that has been created during the installation) I am able to reach all the consoles BPEL, ESB or Enterprise Manager.

  • Error Connecting or Deploying from JDEV to BPEL Server

    Hi,
I am using BPEL PM 10.1.2 installed on a UNIX box.
I am unable to connect from JDEV to the BPEL server installed in a UNIX server. I get the following error when trying to test the connection
org.apache.soap.SOAPException:Unsupported response content type "text/plain", must be: "text/xml". Response was:

    </body></html>
This has been working fine until recently.
I am still able to test processes from the BPEL console.
Please let me know if anyone has come across this error earlier.

    Hi,
change the named connection in JDeveloper to not use localhost reference but the data server host reference. The data sources are created from the available named connections.Alternatively you can switch off the automatic datasource creation in Jdeveloper and create them manually

Our Bpel server runs fine and then all of a sudden it starts to give errors. Does anyone have any advice about what could be wrong. I pasted the log file info underneath, as you can see its info messages and then just errors and I have to restart the server.

Looks like the server is unable to connect to the dehydration database.
A standard installation would have this data source setup as part of the installation.
    "jdbc/BPELServerDataSourceWorkflow"
This again uses the connection pool "BPELPM_CONNECTION_POOL"
And the name of the data source is "BPELServerDataSourceWorkflow"
There are a few checks that you can perform.
    1. Check if the dehydration database is up.
If no then this should be up and running.
    2. Go to the EM and use {test connection} for "BPELPM_CONNECTION_POOL"
If comes back with error then check if the dehydration database credentials has changed post installation.
There are a few other datasources that share the same connection pool. Check if these are working too.

  • IBM WPS: Error While Creating App and Int Server Connections in JDev 10g

    Hi,
I have been struggling to create App Server and Int Server connections in JDeveloper 10.1.3.4 without any luck.
The JDeveloper is present on VM ware machine from which I'm trying to establish the connections to remote server where SOA Suite 10g is installed on IBM Websphere.
    My Settings:
    App Server:
    Connection Type: Standalone OC4J 10.1.3
RMI: tried WC_defaulthost port, 6003, RMI default port (How do I get the actual value of RMI on IBM Websphere and does this really make a difference?)
Connection test fails with Mbean error. Ignored this error as documented in Installation guide.
    Int Server:
Used the above App Server connection, gave the http port value of 9700 (also the WC_defaulthost on IBM Websphere)
Connection test fails for App Server, BPEL PM Server and ESB Server.
I have gone through other threads where different workarounds were suggested but none of them worked for me. The workaround of adding the property ipaddr with the value 0.0.0.0 in opmn.xml doesn't hold good here as IBM WPS doesn't have OPMN.
Please suggest a working solution for this issue.
    Regards,
    CC

The below message comes when you don't specify any default file for your webcenter portal application and this should not be any problem.
Target Portal.jpr is not runnable, using default target index.html.
Can you answer to my questions:
    1. Did you just created a new wcp application in jdev and ran it with out doing any changes? If you have done what are the changes?
    2. How did you ran your application? (right clicking a particular page or right clicking your portal project and selected "run" option?

    Hello, All.
I am a BPEL rookie. Anyone know what this means, and what I need to change to make things work again? It was working fine, but many things have changed lately, including multiple oc4j-ra.xml and data-sources.xml files. This is what I get in my BPEL Console when I start up the server:

  • BPEL Server Load Capability.

    Hi Folks,
We have 5 domains in the BPEL console with around 70 active BPEL processess in Clustered BPEL Production Environment on Weblogic server. The total dsp max threads for all domains combined on the 2 BPEL clustered servers is 275 and connection pool size total on weblogic around 500.The heap size is 2.75 on each server.
We are planning to add more projects to the Production Environments.
Is it possible to know the capacity of these  BPEL server ?
How much more load would it be able to take ?
Is there a way we can calculate some statistics?
Any information related to this is appreciated.
    Thanks again,
    Swetha HemaChand.

I think you'll be better off trying this on the BPEL or SOA forum.

  • BPEL Server is unreachable

I am unable to connect to the bpel server from my local machine.
This is the error that I get:

    com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g
    (10.1.2.0.0)].server.http.ServletRequestDispatcher.invoke(ServletRequestDispatcher.java:778)
Could this be because of having both jdev and Eclipse set up on my local machine?
    Any say?

Did you add a BPEL Process Manager connection in JDev ? Go to Connections - Navigator, add a BPEL Process Manager Server (use the wizard) and add the server. Test the connection. If you refresh now, it'll show you the server where you can deploy to.

  • Getting Error while  creating Integration server Connection ...PLS help me

    Hi everybody,
While creating the Integration server connection I am getting the below error.
Please help me to solve it.
    I am using 10.1.3.1 .
    Application Server: OK
    BPEL Process Manager Server: FAILED
    ESB Server: FAILED
    Thanks in advance.
    Ramana

Now i can able to login to my weblogic admin console and find that listen address is blank i have given the listen address as localhost now i can able to create the application server connection successfully ...Listen address blank means your server will accept connections on all network addresses i.e. on localhost, on 127.0.0.1 and on IP/Host name of machine
If you want to access this server from a remote machine as well, then better keep the listen address field as blank OR assign the value of hostname/IP of machine as listen address. In case you set listen address as hostname/IP of machine, server will not listen anymore to localhost or 127.0.0.1
1)Now iam working in local machine so that i am giving localhost .... In case i doing some bpel work in my local machine and after completing the work if want to move to my server ...do i want to change the connectionand give my server hostname ha?If your BPEL server is a remote server then better create a new connection for that (using listen address and port of that server)
How to see errors in Admin server log C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\Soa_base_domain\servers\AdminServer\logs ...is it i want to check it here?Yes, you need to check the logs in this directory in file AdminServer.log
How to check this?Under $Domain_Home/bin (C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\Soa_base_domain\bin), there will be a file setSOADomainEnv.cmd. If you open this file using notepad, you would see a setting like below -
set DEFAULT_MEM_ARGS=-Xms512m -Xmx768mThis setting defines the heap memory.

  • How to invoke a service on a server other than local bpel server?

    Hi,
Im trying to invoke a service on a server other than the local bpel server thats installed by default. Any pointers to how this can be achieved? My jedevelper does not show "Bpel process Manager server" under the connections navigator and hence I cannot create a new connection to a different server(other than the default one). Appreciate yr help.
    Thanks,
    -L

If you only want to just invoke the service, you dont need a new connection.
Cant you just point to the wsdl of the service in the partnerlink ?
If you need a new connection in jdeveloper to the other server, you first need to make the new applicationserver connection and after that the integrationserver connection.
After this you can connect to an other bpelserver, besides the default.

  • I have problem with the BPEL server caching the jar file of Instance

Is there any way to undeploy and redeploy a process where you have changes to the underlying DA, without the BEPL server being restarted. This always works in my Local BPEL server in my Laptop. But when deploying in the hosted BPEL enviroment it becomes a big problem in getting it restarted when ever I MAKE changes.
Is there any other way to disable the Cache of the instance and make it use the newer version uploaded. One more thing if the connection to a database is severed, then the DA will not work until the server is restarted. All the instances using the said connection is failing with either "Invalid Datatype" or "Socket Read exception". Can someone help!!
    Thanks,
    Prabhakar

    Hi,
have you tried to kill the session of the DA in the database?
