Error while creating Connection to  BPEL Server From Jdev.

Hi All,
I Installed an Oracle XE database on my windows machine , and Run the IRCA tool to create Orabpel, Oraesb and Orawsm in the XE database
Deinstalled my current SOA Suite[Basic] and Reinstall the SOA Suite using the "advanced" option.
Started the server and could able to create a connection to AS, but when i try to create a connection to BPEL Server it's error out with below error message.
Application Server: OK
BPEL Process Manager Server: FAILED
ESB Server: FAILED
What could be the reason..
I didn't modified any file in AS directory with Database details ,Since while installing SOA Suite it asked for the DB Details and forced me to execute all the scripts against this DB,So i assume it knows the connection string.
Let me know how can i solve this issue.
Thanks in advance,
-Siddhardha

HI
In JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0,
1. Click on the tab for the Connections navigator.
2. Right click on Application Server and select New Application Server Connection.
3. Enter a descriptive name for the new connection, and select the appropriate connection type from the drop down list. Click Next.
4. Specify oc4jadmin for User Name, then enter the oc4jadmin password. Click Next.
5. Select Single Instance for Connect To, then provide the host name where BPEL is installed, the OPMN port number, and the OC4J instance name (the default for 10.1.3.1 is oc4j_soa). Click Next.
6. Click Test Connection. If you have been successful, you should see "Success!"
7. Now, right click on Integration Server and select New Integration Server Connection.
8. Specify a connection name and click Next.
9. In the drop down list by Application Server, select the Application Server Connection you just created. Again, specify the host name where BPEL is installed and the port number. This port number will be the same that you specified for the Integration Server Connection to the home OC4J container. Click Next.
10. Test the connection. You should see something like:
Application Server: OK
BPEL Process Manager Server: OK
ESB Server: OK
11. Now, return to the Applications navigator, and try to redeploy your process using the Integration Server Connection just created. (It is possible that you will have to close JDeveloper and then reopen it for this to work.)

A little more details on what you are trying to do will help.
Which versions of JDev/OC4J? which technologies? did you install the ADF Runtime on the server?

  • Connecting To Discussion Server From JDev (11.1.1.6)

    Hi,
I am trying to use discussion server from JDev 11.1.1.6 but now we need to define security policies while creating a discussion server connection. Because their i need to key an alias key, I tried to update the keystore when I am trying to update the credentails using the following commands in WLST:
    updateCred(map="oracle.wsm.security", key="keystore-csf-key", user="owsm", password="welcome1", desc="Keystore key")
    updateCred(map="oracle.wsm.security", key="enc-csf-key", user="webcenter", password="welcome1", desc="Encryption key")
    updateCred(map="oracle.wsm.security", key="sign-csf-key", user="webcenter", password="welcome1", desc="Signing key")
i am getting the following error:
WLSTException: Error occured while performing save : Cannot call Edit functions when you are not in the Edit tree.
I am not clear how to avoid it. And not sure how to install EM on this domain so that I can update the keys from there.
Would appreciate if there is any blog which explains how to use discussion server from jdev 11.1.1.6.
    Thanks,
    Laiit.

  • IBM WPS: Error While Creating App and Int Server Connections in JDev 10g

    Hi,
I have been struggling to create App Server and Int Server connections in JDeveloper 10.1.3.4 without any luck.
The JDeveloper is present on VM ware machine from which I'm trying to establish the connections to remote server where SOA Suite 10g is installed on IBM Websphere.
    My Settings:
    App Server:
    Connection Type: Standalone OC4J 10.1.3
RMI: tried WC_defaulthost port, 6003, RMI default port (How do I get the actual value of RMI on IBM Websphere and does this really make a difference?)
Connection test fails with Mbean error. Ignored this error as documented in Installation guide.
    Int Server:
Used the above App Server connection, gave the http port value of 9700 (also the WC_defaulthost on IBM Websphere)
Connection test fails for App Server, BPEL PM Server and ESB Server.
I have gone through other threads where different workarounds were suggested but none of them worked for me. The workaround of adding the property ipaddr with the value 0.0.0.0 in opmn.xml doesn't hold good here as IBM WPS doesn't have OPMN.
Please suggest a working solution for this issue.
    Regards,
    CC

The below message comes when you don't specify any default file for your webcenter portal application and this should not be any problem.
Target Portal.jpr is not runnable, using default target index.html.
Can you answer to my questions:
    1. Did you just created a new wcp application in jdev and ran it with out doing any changes? If you have done what are the changes?
    2. How did you ran your application? (right clicking a particular page or right clicking your portal project and selected "run" option?

  • Impossible to connect to BPEL server from Jdeveloper

We have installed the soa suite in the following way
    -     oracle home 1 on server 1: http server
    -     oracle home 2 on server 1: apps server with two oc4j, one for the jsso and em and another one for bpel.
I want to deploy the bpel process from jdeveloper.
I first do a server connection to the server 1. When I try to test the connection I get an error
Error getting OC4J Process for: opmn-home+oc4j-oraclesoa.smartwavesa.com-6004-default:
Error connecting to OPMN (is it running?): Connection refused: connect
So I tried to modify the opmn.xml of oracle home 2 by adding the following line
    <ipaddr remote=”0.0.0.0” request=”0.0.0.0”/>
After this modification I am able to connect to oracle home 2 from jdeveloper BUT the http URL of enterprise manager and bpel console are no more available.
So my question is how can I enable the deployment of bpel process from Jdeveloper to the server 1?
    Thanks for your help

Yes admin instance is running on home 2 and more precisely on oc4j_home.
BPEL and ESB is also running on home 2 but on another oc4j oc4j_soa
If I use the standard configuration (the one that has been created during the installation) I am able to reach all the consoles BPEL, ESB or Enterprise Manager.

  • TNS:Operation Timed Out error while trying to invoke BPEL Process from sql

    Hi,
I am trying to invoke a BPEL Process from PL/sql code. When i try to invoke the process, I am getting the following error message
    ORA-29273 HTTP Request Failed
    ORA:06512: at SYS.UTH_HTTP at line 1029
    ORA:12535: TNS:Operation Timed Out
    ORA:06512: at line 18
I have the SOA suite installed on my local machine...and the BPEL process that i am trying to invoke is deployed their.
Any idea what could be wrong..following is the code piece
    soap_request:='<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

    Please advise

you are right the file adapter doesnt invoke any bpel
process, instead it is polling the file from
directory location? If it is polling for new files, shouldn't it create a new instance of the BPEL process automatically the moment it finds a new file? In other words, should a new file trigger an instance of the BPEL process rather than being started from PL/SQL?
Can this file adapter not be invoked as bpel process
in that case? The file adapter is part of a BPEL process. The BPEL process can be invoked from e.g. PL/SQL.
In this case this file adapeter return to an RECEIVE
activity...I think this receive cannot be invoked as
a BPEL process rite? Can you explain what you mean with this?
Also , will all synchronous request return "TIMEOUT"
error, if tried to invoke from pl/sql?Only if the synchronous process instance takes more time to complete (and thus to return) than the value specified for a time-out to occur. If the instance completes in for example 10 ms and the time-out time is specified as 30 seconds, no time-out will occur.

  • Error in creating connection to app server  (10.3.4) from JDev 11.1.1.4.0

    Hi Everyone,
I am trying to create a application server connection (weblogic server 10.3.4) from JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0. but when I test the connection, I get status/response as " 0 of 0 tests were successful".
Can anyone pls shed some lights on the issue? When I look into the Weblogic console, I do not get any kind of error. I am using Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.4.0.
Pls note that, I have already disabled the proxy settings from the JDevelope (Tool -> Preferences -> Web Browser & Proxy) as suggested by someone to resolve this issue, and so far, this has not helped me. :-(
Pls help, I am stuck in my work because of this.
    Thanks

    Frederic,
The DVT components use Java's AWT (Abstract Window Toolkit) to show the corresponding images. By default, the Java Virtual Machine tries to use the hardware-based graphical capabilities of the
machine to implement AWT. I could find the error, "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class sun.awt.X11GraphicsEnvironment" reported for UNIX machines in which the display wasn't set. So let me ask, is your problem on Windows or on Unix ?
I found the following WLS parameter that you can set in the WLS doamin cmd file to make the JVM setting up the awt libraries
    -Djava.awt.headless=true

  • Stack overflow error while creating connection using Oracle10G dirver

    Hi,
Our web application built on Servlets runs on the iPlanet web server (In solaris machine). Earlier we used JDK 1.5 update 6 with oracle 9i driver and now got migrated to JDK 1.5 update 10 with same driver. Everything went fine until we started testing the environment with oracle 10G driver. Java 1.5 update 10 with oracle 10G driver throws "Stack overflow error".
    Driver version is - 10.2.0.2.0
This occurs only when I access the portal. When I created the single main program and try to run it in the solaris machine it works fine. But wen I try to access the portal keeping this driver under classpath, it fails. Please let me know if anyone have any clues.
When I looked into it, I am able to find that the "stack overflow error" occurs at the point the code line DriverManager.Getconnection("url", "username", "pwd") executes.
    Thanks in advance

Yes, request goes through connection pool but weird
thing is application throws stack excatly where
    DriverManager.getConnection gets executed.
    Not weird at all.
This is what I am guessing that you did. You changed the driver and some other stuff, like configuration information.
Then when it blew up you tracked down in your code where you see the stack overflow. That happens to be on the connection line. That is not where the overflow 'occurs' - it merely represents where you saw it.
That line however isn't using the oracle driver. What it is using is a connection pool of some sort. That connection pool is configured somewhere. And that configuration is self-referential (or maybe refers to a another driver which refers back to the original.)
And that causes you stack over flow.

  • Error while creating Data Form Definition report from Planning

    Hi All,
    Working on Planning 11.1.2 (x64)
I tried to generate a Data Form Definition report from Planning and found that I get an error if I select the option "Include member selection list". By going a bit deeper, I realised that it errors for some forms while works fine for others.
I have tried to find any differences in setting or selection between the forms but haven't been able to see anything that struck me as a reason for error.
    Help please.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek
