BPM - An empty container element was specified when sending

Hello Experts,
My BPM process looks as below:
Receive -> Loop (execute if the status of IDoc is ERROR(E))--> Mapping ---> End Loop --> Send
The message is failing in BPM workflow with the log: An empty container element was specified when sending
Container for receive and send stepe are different. IP in SXI_CACHE has process code 0.
Mapping program is defined between the abstarct msg type of receive step and abstract msg type of Send step.
Th message being processed has initial status as ERROR and after the mapping step is exceuted, it retrieves teh current status i.e SUCCESS. This ends the loop step and while tying to send the messgae to target system, this error occurs.
Pls advice if I am missing anything.

Go to transaction SWWL , select your integration process instance and delete it
Create your process with a new name and run the scenario again

I have a BPM scenario like the following
1: Receive Sync (opens S/A Bridge)
2: Transform (split 1:n mapping. Only one interface will get created though depending on source content)
3: Sync Send (Send result 1 of previouse transform step if it has been created)
3: Sync Send (Send result 2of previouse transform step if it has been created)
4: Transform (transforms sync send result to response message of original sync message received in step 1)
5: Send (Closes S/A Bridge)
My issue is this... my sync send step keeps throwing an error saying the following
"An empty container element was specified when sending"
The problem is that I have checked and rechecked all the IM and MM's and they work with the inbound payload which I pull from the BPE monitoring. I checked the containers and they all seem to have the right values.
I cant understand why I am getting an empty result from my mapping?
By the way I have searched this forum all day and have found many similar issues but none that seem to have been resolved in a dinitive fashion so please don't just snd me links to these threads unless they solve the issue...

Ok I have attempted with the fork but I still get the same error...
The problem is that even though in the BPE monitoring it is telling me that the transformation step is successful I am still getting an empty mapping result...
All of the interfaces specified in the IP are the ones use in the Mappings so I really dont understand what is going wrong here...
Any ideas anyone?
Oh by the way I am doing 1:N mapping and i have set both source and target messages from 0 to 1.
Is there something else I should do in the transformation step to stipulate 1:N mapping?
What could be the reason for this?

Container element not available when task is background

Hi All,
We have a task and method. the method works fine when tested individually, returns the correct values.
However when the task is executed in background mode, the element in container is not updated. If the processing mode is foreground, the element is rightly updated in container.
Clearly it has nothing to do with binding since I get the elements when I execute the task in foreground.
any ideas would be welcome.

Actually, I believe the problem is related to binding.
When called in the foreground, object references (and data references) are present in memory for all subsequent processing.
You probably need to make the CONTAINER "Persistent".
In your code, call the macro SWC_CONTAINER_TO_PERSISTENT <container name here>. For example:
SWC_CONTAINER local_container.
SWC_CREATE_CONTAINER local_container.
" Set you Container elements
" SWC_SET_ELEMENT local_container 'Element01' lv_element01.
" SWC_SET_TABLE local_container 'Element02' lt_table02.
SWC_CONTAINER_TO_PERSISTENT local_container.
" Start your workflow passing local_container.
Something like this...

I have followed up with service provide and could see that they have activated and has no issue from there side. Let me know why this issue persists. Regular data plan will not work, ask Airtel if it's a BIS plan.

ELEMENTS SHUTS DOWN WHEN SENDING EMAILS

I have a Vista system and when I attempt to send photos through Elements 7 it shuts down completely. Tech support said I need Outlook, which is not on my computer. Is there another way to send photos? How do I set up an Adobe email account? Thanks!

John Here a further report from High Cloud Investigator: First test set: - Have deleted all contacts in Windows Vista: c:\Program Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Organizer\Settings\contacts.xml - Changed to Adobe Mail (signed up, got confirmation) - Added one contact (myself) - Selected one picture and sent it - It worked and pic arrived First run was as aministrator, second normal, both seem to work. Second Test Set: - Changed my machine (also Vista) from Outlook to Mail and sending PhotoMail worked - no crash. This means that there is something else on my wife's machine that suddenly, after a few weeks of normal use of PhotoMail with Windows Mail, decided to block it. As the undisputed Chief Investigator do you have some further tests I can/should/must run. I sure would like to get to the bottom of it, especially as the mailing via Adobe has a few restrictions such as no copies or blind copies and you have no "sent" file, meaning you cannot trace who of your friends has not yet suffered from you "gifts" <G>! System cannot find the path specified when sending emails with attachments

I've had an on going issue for some time on one of my clients whereby users will intermittently get this error "The System cannot find the path specified." when they try to send an email with an attachment.
The issue seems to arise generally (though reportedly not only when) when someone creates an email and attaches a file but leaves it for some time before finishing and sending.
The staff run in a Windows 2008 R2 full Terminal Server desktop environment on Office 2010 (32-bit 14.0.7140.5002) and several staff have reported the same issue.
I have been able to replicate the issue in their environment by creating an email and leaving it for some time.
After a fair bit of scouting around I found that if I monitor the temp directory that the attachments get placed into (content.outlook under Temporary Internet Files on user profile) and found that the directory with the attachments would disappear after
a period of time which would then cause the error where obviously Outlook could not find the file that had now gone.
I don't know of any Outlook settings that would cause this and the issue isn't related to temporary Internet files filling up as I've recreated the error on a user account where there is nothing else stored in the Temporary Internet Files.
To work around the issue I have changed the reg file that tells Outlook where to place these files (HKCU/Sofware/Microsoft/office/14.0/outlook/security - OutlookSecureTempFolder) to a location in the users home drive.
This appears to resolve the problem however I am noticing 1 issue with this. Unlike the temp folder which gets purged after a file is no longer required, the location I've changed it to does not clear out old files.
While it shouldn't be too difficult to add a script that can clear the files at log off it would be good to see if anyone may know what the cause of the problem in the first place is. I would rather it work as it should than have to bodge around changing
the folder and scripting file deletes.
Does anyone know of what maybe causing the attachments and content.outlook folder to disappear?

Do you have any redirected folder in your environment? Is the original Temporary Internet Files folder stored on a server?
Basically, the attachments remain in the Outlook Secure Temporary File folder if we exit Microsoft Outlook while email attachments are open. See:

How to Initialize Container Element in BPM..No Payload found

Hi All,
How do we initialize a container element in BPM if that container element is a message Interface.
I am doing exception handling in BPM, so whenever a exception occurs i need to send a mail.
So in the exception box i have a transformation step and a send step.
In the transformation step what will be my source message?
How do i initialize that source message?
What i have done right now is created a dummy interface(abs) for source and then mapped with the target abs interface.
When i execute the schenario,in the monitor i find in the Transformation step the following error
No payload found.

I too agreee. Lemme try to explain witha example.
In my first transformation, MI_MAIL_TEMP_ABS is there along with 3 other interfaces. Each one is getting mapped i can see that in monitoring.
Now in the exception branch in transformation step,
i am mapping MI_MAIL_TEMP_ABS to MI_MAIL_ABS.
Now in the send step im giving MI_MAIL_ABS as the interface name.
Do you see anything wrong with this?

Container element value does not display

Hi,
I am facing a strange issue.
There is one step in my custom workflow which sends sap mail. The subject of the e-mail has a container element &notif&. When I check the workflow log this container element gets set with a value just before this step and so I expect it to be displayed in the e-mail .
But the issue is i am getting the mail in my inbox which says ....&notif& ......
i.e Instead of displaying the value of this container it displays the text &notif&.
The same container element is used in the same e-mail message body where it displays correctly.
has anyone faced this kind of an issue before?

Yes it is set to Expression.
This mail step was not created from scratch.
I just changed a few texts in the subject of this Mail step in an already existing workflow without touching the container element in the subject. But after i did this change and tested teh workflow, the container element no longer displayed any value in the subject, but it does continue to show value in the message body.
Any suggestions to solve towards this issue will be extremely helpful.

I'm doing a bpm scenario where i recieve a file using receive step then use a switch to check if a condition satisifies based on that I'm sending to File using send step and in other block using Mail.
Im getting error as container elements not intialized when did syntax check in bpm and also for receive step it says container element intialized but not used,,,
please tell me what needs to be done

Hiding a container element from a standard applicaition

hi,
i have a requirement to remove the UI elements in a transparent container from a view of a standard webdynpro component HRRCF_C_PREFERENCES_UI. This component is being used as a sub component in a main application.
The transparent container within has a drop down list and a few buttons.
So i created a component configuration for the component HRRCF_C_PREFERENCES_UI and changed the property of the UI element in the configuration to invisible. This worked, the container element was invisible in the application. But two other containers next to the UI element that was hidden did not move to the left . No proper alignment.
Is this the standard behavior of a component configuration? i don't think so.
Now in my option, the other only possible option is to hide the button by changing the attribute in the WDDOMODIFYVIEW method of the view.
Could someone please help me how to set the attribute problematically? Is there a different way to meet this requirement?

Just go to enhancement mode in your webdynpro component and delete that button from UIElement hierarcy.
If you want your button back, delete the enhancement.

Receiving "The Itunes Library file cannot be saved. A duplicate file name was specified".

Itunes Version 10.5.3.3
Using Iphone 4 on Windows 7 Proffesional PC.
Keep getting "The Itunes Library file cannot be saved. A duplicate file name was specified" when trying to sync Itunes with Iphone.
Have tried the following steps;
first you have to locate your last library file, you can do this by clicking Edit-preferences-advanced. it will show you the itunes media folder location. then close Itunes
open your folder and locate the last library (libraries are saved with date names, find the most recent one or the one that was last modified).
change the name of the library to today´s date following the format it already has. you will have to change the name for libraries: .itl, .xml, genius and extras.
once you have changed the name to today´s date on the 4 libraries you will have to delete all other libraries existing on the same folder or on a folder named "previous itunes libraries". it is also recommended to delete the itunes "preferences file" .dat (usually 1kb) and the "sentinel" file.
so, you will have on your itunes media folder only 4 libraries: .itl .xml genius and extras.
the next step is to click the itunes icon holding the "shift" key . itunes will ask you to either "quit, choose library or create library" click on choose library. then locate the library you just renamed with today´s date and extension .itl
done, itunes will open with the last saved version of your library. keep in mind that some changes or songs will not be present if you added any while getting the error "itunes cannot save the library file. a duplicate name has been specified" just locate the songs and add them again, if you have the option "copy files to itunes media folder when adding to library" checked. then go to file-add folder or file-and locate the songs missing on the itunes media folder.itunes saves the files on the hard drive but does not save the changes on the library.

A communication error has occurred: An XML element was malformed

Hi all,
I have trasported an VC model to the production enviroment. While executing it i am getting the error
"A communication error has occurred: An XML element was malformed"
When i search SDN i got to know the details from the Note 979583 as : its a known limitation of Visual Composer, as the flex is unable to handle the large amount of data been fetched.
Please let me know whether there is a work around to this problem. Can this problem be resolved by using Visual composer 7.1 ?

Hello experts,
Visual Composer tells me in a pop up, that:
"A communication error has occurred:An XML element was malformed"
when it tries to call a Stored Procedure (SP). This is s.th. that happens only sporadically, i.e. I can trigger the SP many times and see that it executed correctly. Then, suddenly it doesn't work anymore, but when I keep clicking it starts working again after a while.
I checked that nobody has opened or locked my model, because I read that this can cause this behaviour in another thread.
What is the cause for this? What can I do?

xml error , 32k span error , portal request failed errors are usually cmng in vc
sometimes it will work and sometimes it wont work tht tine we have to reimplement our task .

Mail not send to multiple users even Multiline container element has value

Hi,
I have collected the AGENTS to send mail notification in a multiline container element using a background step. The method collect the agent and return in to a container. I use this container in the following mail step using expression. The type id is 'G'. The mail step fails .The address string is filled also with agents.
Please guide me if u have come across this situation early.

I think if you are passing SAP User Id then the SAP User Id should be concatenated with US in the front.
If this is maintained in the container element and if still send mail is failing then it might be that one of the USER Id does not exist in the system.

BPM: How to return the total number of lines in Multiline Container Element

I am trying to follow the following blog to do message splitting:

In the blog, total number of messages for Message1 was returned to Count in Message 2.
If I do not want to create message 2, if there any way to return total number lines in multiline elements ? Because this number need to be used to specify in loop condition:
While Indxe != TotalNumberOfLines

For the loop block option, your answer is passing message count in different message type is best option !
I really do not know why SAP does not deliver a build-in function to return the number of items in multiline element at run time ?
Now the question for the second option: ForEach block:
When I leave current line of block properties empty, the compile does not pass
I have to input a another element (Var_Cur) in current line
Inside my block, I have one send step, it will send Var_Dest[Index], followed by a container operation step to increment Index by 1.
With above setup, I compile it, compile passed, but it says:
"Container Element Var_Cur in Step Block1 is initialized but not used"
then I added another containter operation step in block:
Var_Cur = Var_Dest[Index]
I modified send step to send Var_Cur rather than Var_Dest.
Up to now, I can compile it without any warnings.
But when I send message to IE, the message pass pipe line, but it seems does not pass the BPE.
When I go to SXI_CACHE, to check the return code for my Integration process is 0, means no error.
But my message does not reach my target system.
Where do you think I made wrong ?
