BPM Cache

The Business Process Management(BPM) that I have developed in the Integration Repository(XI) , has been activated successfully. The Cache has been refreshed, but its not showing up in the sxi_cache Transaction.
Again its been activated and also the cache has been refreshed so many times. Restarted the server too. No use.
Any hint. Thanks.

Hi,
I don't know what you're talking about.
Shouldn't you be posting this in the  Exchange Infrastructure forum?

  • BPM CACHE REFRESH -

    Hi Guys:
I would like to capture the Customer Credit Memo to create alert message with it when there is already exists in R/3. I am using BPM, in the BPM i created container element P_SETTNO to capture the customer credit memo number from XPATH expression. When I am testing it cannot get the value for the container element. Then I thought it's better to refresh CACHE so that it can get the latest version. While refreshing CACHE(sxi_cache) it's giving below error.
" The Value of Expression &INF_SPLITBYLINE.P_SETTNO& Cannot Serve As the Source of an Assignment ".
    We are on SP19...
    Any clues/sugesstion please.
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

    Nilesh:
No luck so far. The sequence of steps I did after delete and re import BPM.
    1) Assigning expression value to container variable p_settlement, it's is some how
doesn't like the expression, it's giving same error as it was giving about
         expression.
      2) Then I removed expression and assigned constant value to p_settlement.
This time no error when activating BPM, but alert message is empty. I am
concatenating text like below in the alert message.
         <b>text &p_settlement& text</b>
      3) Then I even removed container variable and provided static alert message text.
Alert message is displaying in the Alert Inbox.
    What I am suspecting is
    1) it's not accepting expression value when assigning to container variable p_settlement.
    2) When I concatenate text with dynamic value (&p_settlement&) for alert message, it's not understanding to combine static and dynamic data.
I am trying to achieve here is if the settlement is already exists in the custom table, it should send alert to the intended receipients so that they can take action on it.
I hope you can understand the problem.

  • BPM Cache Problem

    Hi All,
I hav created a Business process. when i modified that process, it is not getting reflected in the SXI_CACHE. No matter how many times i activated it, it is not getting modified. i tried for around two hours and restarted the server again as the last alternative. I had refreshed the cache even with the mode 'full' which din't result in the expected outcome.
Any suggestions about this as i don't want spend two more hours next time.
    Thnx
    Anil.

    Hi guys,
I had done the samething which u ppl were mentioning for two hours. but my problem is that the BPM is taking the previous version itself. And i din't know how to enable BPM to consider the latest version. And now, my problem got solved.
In the Integration directory, i deleted my integration process(say MyXXXBPM) and created a new integration process with the same name(MyXXXBPM) and imported the same process. It is taking the latest version now.
    Anyways.......Thnx guys
    Anil.

  • BPM Cache Error

    Hi All:
I am getting strange error in SXI_Cache. The moment I import the IP (BPM) in ID and activate it, ABAP cache becomes RED and says " Cache Contents is obsolete". Can any one let me know why XI is behaving like this?
If I delete the imported IP from ID, then cache becomes green.
I check SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING and found this error:
(X: Red Color) Maintain Definition Environment --->(X: Red Color) Check Entries from HR Control Tables
    Regards,
    Farooq

    Hi Farooq,
It is suggested that all components in SWF... should be green,
Have a look at OSS note:

  • Error while invoking a automated activity

    Hello,
I don't know whether this is the correct quesiton to this forum but since I am getting error in NW BPM process, I am writing it here.
I have created a process which is getting triggered by WS call. The first step after start is automated activity where a call to SAP is made via a sync proxy.
When I tried to execute the entire BPM process, I am getting the error in BPM Logs as
"A technical error during invocation: Could not invoke service reference name
    eb7cf84e-f05c-41c4-940a-8f95113179f3, component name
    example.org~<DC Name>~BPMcomponent"
Actually 2 things I did as a part of correction, the first is to set the communicaiton protocol is XI in the service reference of an outbound service interface that is used to call SAP system and change the interface pattern of its inbound interface to XI3.0 compatible. as suggested by Udo Martens in one of his blog. Also the inbound interface in the start step is of XI3.0 compatible.
I re-deployed the project which I verified by going through NWA logs and also checked the configuration as given in blog. I have collaboration agreement done in PI where Sender is SOAP communication channel with XI protocol and it is as per the sender defined into the service reference.
Sending a message from SAP NetWeaver BPM process to PI fails via automated activity - Technology Troubleshooting Guide -…
Also I read one thread where it was resolved by clearing JCO caches but it seems the call was RFC call unlike in my case it is proxy call.
"Could not invoke service reference" for automated activity (RFC call)
Any clue what could have went wrong. I could see a cache issue here. But how to clear BPM cache.I couldn't find such option on NWA.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    Hi Ameet,
    I'm facing same error,
Could you  tell me how to apply the solution? Please.
    Thanks in advantage,
    Regards.

MI_RecipeDownload_Abstract is my first recv step in BPM
It is also the recv interface for RFC sneder

Not sure what really happens in your app.
What do you mean by It needs to communicate to another weblogic domain (created by weblogic 10g)Just call an url?
From the error java.io.IOException: Cannot bind to URL: javax.naming.CommunicationException [Ro
ot exception is java.net.ConnectException: t3://192.168.253.15:7101: Destination
    unreachable; nested exception is:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect; No available rou
ter to destination]it look like either the connection information is wrong or a firewall restricts the communication.

  • BPM MESSAGE_NOT_USED, cache problem?

    Hello,
I try to set up a small BPM but it won't fire and in monitoring I get the error MESSAGE_NOT_USED.
When I look at the XI runtime cache I can't find my business process (but all receiver and interface definitions which points to it)... And It won't show after a complete cache refresh either.
My BPM configuration is as follows:
    BPM with receiver interface:
    CreditWorthinessChangeInformation_Abstract
    http://sandvik.com/xi/SOPIC
The CreditWorthinessChangeInformation_Abstract interface uses the following message type:
    CreditWorthinessChangeInformation
    http://sap.com/xi/FSCM/Global
The inbound messages that should trigger the BPM comes from the following interface:
    CreditWorthinessChangeInformation_Out
    http://sap.com/xi/FSCM/Global
Which uses the same message type as the abstract receiving interface of the BPM:
    CreditWorthinessChangeInformation
    http://sap.com/xi/FSCM/Global
Any suggestions what might be wrong or missing?
    Regards Johan

    I'm having the problem below:
1)File adapter get a file from AS400, split it several XML messages and send to XI(Async)
2)XI get each message and forward to BPM using XI adapter
3)BPM has to send the message to R/3 via BAPI (Sync)
4)R/3 reply the result message to BPM(Sync)
5)BPM has to send the result message to e-mail system if an error had ccurred in BAPI call (Async)
When I send directly from File adapter to R/3 works like a charm, but when I want use the BPM, a soap header error says to me, that cannot identify a data type that I’m using in the message sent by File adapter, but is the same that using with File adapter
    Any idea?

    Eduardo Souza

  • Cache Contents are Obsolete after activating BPM

    Hello.
I have made a BPM for a scenario, and after activating it, the SXI_CACHE shows: Cache Contents are Obsolete
the problem is solved only after I delete the Cache instance in the integration directory, and make a cache connectivity test.
The version of the PI is 7.0 SP15
What in BPM development might cause this? or is there an external cause for this (this is the first BPM being made in this server)
Thanks for anyone who will try to assist.

    Thank you very much.
I tried to use a simpler BPM (one that receives an interface and immediately sends it) to see if the complexity of the BPM, or just a bug in this specific BPM was causing the problem.
However - this problem occurs with the new BPM as well...
I have open an OSS, and waiting to see what they'll suggest.

  • What is similar to BPM 10g PAPI Caching in BPM 11g?

    Hi,
Earlier we were using BPM 10g where for BPM workspace/Custom Worklist, PAPI caching was used. Now we are looking for using BPM 11g where HWF (Human Workflow) APIs are present instead of PAPI. Can anybody tell me that is it possible to use caching in HWF APIs and how it is done?
    Thanks
    Edited by: user10778361 on May 25, 2012 12:04 PM

One of teh difference which I noticed is that BPM Workspace had the left pane where the integrated ADF Applications were visible whereas Worklist didnot have that option.
Some more prime differences here -

  • BPM in CACHE won't activate. Fault message is not defined

    Hello All,
After adding fault messages to our RFC scenarios, our BPM will no longer activate from transaction SXI_CACHE. The ReturnCode is 99. When we attempt to do a manual activation, we get an error which reads:
<b>Send step: Fault message '722783b5171311d9881bd5c4c0a8a777' is not defined</b>.
Have any of you seen this before?
We have mappings for the fault messages in interface mappings. Is there something else needed in the BPM itself?
    Thanks,
    Jimmy

    From OSS:
The synchronous send steps define a fault message as exception. In this
case you have to wrap a block around every one or all send steps.
The block catches the exception, in your case the fault message.
The problem is, if no handler is defined, the import of the process fails (SXI_CACHE).
So modify the process, wrap a block with exception
handling around the send step and activate once more.

  • Fork is not working - BPM

I have done 2 samples using fork and in both the cases it is not working. For each message new BPM is triggered and only one step (branch) gets completed and other branch steps remain in ready state forever.
    1) I have tested standard BPM pattern BpmPatternCollectMultiIf
    2) Simple process using fork - two branches using different inetrfaces (having different message types)
Integration process return code is 0 - runtime cache
I am testing on local sandbox (XI 3.0) with SP17.
Under SAP help only brief description available about fork. Please share if you have good references/samples about fork (BPM).

    Jai,
1)I expect following result in case of standard BPM pattern "BpmPatternCollectMultiIf"
Note: Here same message type for all 3 interfaces ( branches), no end condition, no of branches = 3
As all message types are same when I send first message only one branch will be executed and outbound status under sxmb_moni with be clock (Message being sent). When I send 2 message, second branch will be completed and status will be clock again. And when I send 3 rd message all branches will be completed and outbound status will be success flag (Message successful on outbound side). Under one process id three messages will be displayed
Actual result is every time status as clock. and for each message new fork instance is created. below are the processids for 3 messages
    133721
    133726 -
    unexpected
    133731 -
    unexpected
Ideally when you send 3 messages all should be process under process ids 133721 to 133725
    2) I have tried fork with 3 branches with different message types. When I send 3 messages ( here each payload is different as per message type ) I expect success flag after 3rd message. But in this case also always the status as clock. and every time new fork instance.
Is anybody  successful to test BPM pattern -> BpmPatternCollectMultiIf?

You're right, I restarted the server again and again...
I have just opened the sr in metalink, it has been confirmed as a bug. Unfortunately there's no way to workaround. What I can do now is waiting for the solution.

  • Error in Directory Cache Update

    Hi,
because we changed from two SLDs (PROD & DEV) to one (DEV) we did all changes like given in note 720717.
Everything seems to run fine except the Adapter Engine - ok parts of it.
When checking the Cache-Infos in Integration Directory we get following error in Integration Server (Central Adapter Engine). What do we need to do?!

    Hi,
Hereu2019s a list of common errors/problems in SAP XI and their possible resolutions. This Guide will help you troubleshoot your integration scenarios in SAP XI/PI. This is in no way an exhaustive list. You can add your points/ideas to this list. Please feel free to post your inputs using the comments form at the end of this article.
    Cache Update Problems
Use transaction SXI_CACHE to update the Integration Directory cache. Alternatively, you can use the following URLs to update the CPA cache. Use XIDIRUSER to refresh the cache.
For complete cache refresh - http://<hostname>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
For delta cache refresh - http://<hostname>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=delta
If this does not solve the issue, check transaction SLDCHECK to ensure that connection to SLD is available. If the connection fails, check the configuration in the transaction SLDAPICUST. Make sure that the password maintained is correct and the maintained service user is not locked.
Now in the Integration Repository go to Environment u2192 Clear SLD Data Cache. Also go to Integration Directoy and clear the cache using menu Environment u2192 Clear SLD Data Cache.
Open the XI Start Page and click on Administration. On the Repository tab, choose Cache Overview. Refresh the cache using the buttons/icons on the right. Use XIDIRUSER to refresh the cache. Carry out cache refresh in the same way on the Directory and Runtime tabs.
If you are facing cache update problems in your BPM (say you have modified the BPM, but when executed old version of the BPM is picked up instead of the new one), run the transaction SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING and press F9 carry out automatic BPM/Workflow Customizing.
    Routing Errors
    NO_RECEIVER_CASE_BE or NO_RECEIVER_CASE_ASYNC
This means no receiver could be found. Check your Receiver Determination. Activate and update cache. Asysnchronous messages can be manually restarted.
    TOO_MANY_RECEIVERS_CASE_BE
More than one receiver found. Check your ID configuration to ensure that there is exactly one receiver for the synchronous message. Multiple receivers for synchronous interfaces are not permitted.
    Mapping Errors
    JCO_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE
Check whether RFC destination AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER is correctly configured
    NO_MAPPINGPROGRAM_FOUND
Ensure that mapping program exists and is activated. If it exists then update the cache.
    EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE
This error occurs due to erroneous XML formatting. Check your mapping program and ensure that you supply valid input data.
    Messages stuck in queues
Check the queues using transactions SMQ1 (outbound)/SMQ2 (inbound). Resolve the displayed errors. You can cancel the messages from SXMB_MONI. Execute LUW if necessary and avoid deleting entries manually.
    Conversion Errors
Unable to convert the sender service XXXX to an ALE logical system
This error occurs in case of scenarios with IDoc adapters. Whenever you use business systems, make sure that the corresponding logical system name is maintained in the SLD.
Open your business system in the Integration Directory. Switch to Change mode. Access the menu path Service u2192 Adapter Specific Identifiers. Click the button that says u2018Compare with System Landscape Directoryu2019 and chose Apply. Save and activate your change list.
In case of business services, you can manually type a logical system name in the Adapter Specific Identifiers if required. This name should match the corresponding logical system name defined in the partner SAP systemu2019s partner profiles.
    Errors on the outbound side
Sometimes the link between SAP XI and the target system (say ERP) goes down and messages fail on the outbound side. It may not be possible to restart them from using RWB or the transactions like SXI_MONITOR/SXMB_MONI. In such cases, you can follow the procedure outlined in the following article - Dealing with errors on the outbound side.
