BPM -NO interface detected

Hi,
I am doing one BPM scenario. In Integration Process - Receiver step - Messages .. When I am selecting the messasges, In that Pop up windown no <b>messages Interfaces</b> r coming, even I created Message interfaces.
Thx,
Ansar.

Hi,
As Bhavesh said did you create Abstract interface and created a container element in the BPM refering the abstract interface?
Check ou this blog to see how it is done.. look at Figure: 15.

  • BPM, abstract interface unavailable

    Hello,
I want to build a business process. Therefore I need some container elements. One container element has the type abstract interface. The message interface is defined in some namespace of some software component. But unfortunately I can't select this message interface in the dialog. Of course I have already activated my change list. I also refreshed the CPA cache, but this doesn't help a lot. What can I do in order to see this abstract interface.
    Thank you very much,
    Oliver

    Hallo Oliver,
XI currently only allows BPM to use interfaces within the same software component or within a software component with which you have a based on relationship defined.
I think, that this does not make too much sense, but that's the answer we got to an according OSS message.
    Best Regards

  • BPM - Message interfaces of one component are not appearing in another comp

    Hi,
We have created 2 software components(X and Y) for File to RFC scenario.
"X" SWC is dependent on "Y" SWC.
We are building sync-async bridge using BPM. We have created one BPM in X component. This BPM has the visibility of message interfaces only particular to that component only, not the other component.  Though wehave created dependency between these 2  components. But without this we cannot build sync-Async bridge.
Please could you provide the inputs, so that we can proceed further.
    Thanks,
    Ramesh

    Hi,
Where are you developing your BPM objects in X or Y ?
If X is dependendent on Y , then you can access Abstract interfaces created in the X in Y.
After creating SWC dependency, then refresh the cache and check out is it working ..

    Regards,

    Hi,
I just saw your IP design and from this I can see that you have message mapping between Sender(as in Outbound interface MIOASY) and abstract interface (as in MIAASY) and then in that you have used transformation step to utilise Interface mapping which is between same abstract interface which is not required at all as message type for both the interfaces is same. For me, what your configuration would be is
    1. Sender agreement to fetch the message from outbound interface(MIOASY) utilising communication channel with whatever adapter you have used
    2. Receiver Determination with Sender and sender interface as MIOASY while receiver as IP(Integration process)
    3. Interface determination between
        a. Sender and Outbound interface and Abstract interface with interface mapping IM_Sender
        b. IP as sender with abstract interface MIAASY and receiver interface MIIASY with no interface mapping being used as it must be of same type as receiver interface is
    4. Receiver agreement with MIIASY being used as receiver interface and communication channel utlililsed to convert it into receiver format.
If I am assuming it correct then if you see then inside BPM we are not using receiver interface MIIASY which is why I feel this error is coming.
However, if you design it something like this then I feel the error would get resolved
    Design
    1. Make one abstract interface (MIAASY_Sen) of same type as sender, and create another abstract interface (MIAASY_Rec) of same type as your receiver message type
    2. Create message mapping between sender message type and receiver message type, Interface mapping IM_ABS - (MM_ABS_ABS) between sender abstract interface (MIAASY_Sen)  and receiver abstract interface (MIAASY_Rec)
    3. BPM should be something like this
       Container:*
    rec Abstract Interface MIAASY_Sen
    send Abstract Interface MIAASY_Rec
Receiver (rec) - Transformation (IM_ABS) -  sender (send)
    Configuration
    1. Sender agreement to fetch the message from outbound interface(MIOASY) utilising communication channel with whatever adapter you have used
    2. Receiver Determination with Sender and sender interface as MIOASY while receiver as IP(Integration process)
    3. Interface determination between
        a. Sender,Outbound interface MIOASY and Abstract interface MIAASY_Sen with no interface mapping
       b. IP as sender with abstract interface MIAASY_Rec and receiver interface MIIASY with no interface mapping being used as it is of same type as receiver interface is
    4. Receiver agreement with MIIASY being used as receiver interface and communication channel utlililsed to convert it into receiver format.
Let me know if it works.

  • Dynamic Receiver Determination [W/O using BPM] Sync interface

I have been exploring options w.r.t. performance sensitive service interface.
    This has following issues :
    1. Gets a org code looking up instance and route the msg. accordingly to an RFC and get response back.
    2. Prominent answer would be Enhanced receiver determination step but that doesnt work in sync case.
    3. Classic Receiver Determination needs the condition to be evaluated in source msg. which is not going to happen.
    4. Use BPM i designed one but performance its not all acceptable it has a round trip of 10Sec.
are there any ways to overcome this ?

    Hi Bujji,
can you explain the point 1.
<i>1. Gets a org code looking up instance and route the msg. accordingly to an RFC and get response back.</i>

  • BPM Sync Interface

    Hi friends,
In my current interface, i am using BPM and in that i am sending sync request to Proxy, when the proxy takes more time i.e. more than 3 mins, i am getting timeout error in xi monitoring. Because the default timeout parameter was 3 mins. Now i changed all the default parameters to 5 mins. Even now, i am getting the same timeout error.
    My current BPM design,
    Start - Receive - Transformation - Sync Send - Transformation - Send - End.
Please suggest me, whether we can have any wait step to wait for specified minute after the Sync send step. If we add that wait step, will there be any performance issue?
    Please suggest me.
    Regards
    Bala

In a Sync step the Request and Response happen in the same call
Now in Async flow you make a request (using the same Req Message that you are using in the Sync Request Message section).
Then have Async Receive step (with a correlation defined).
    Disadvantage:
    1) In this case you need to have a field for correlation
    2) Call has to be made Async on the receiving system also....so config may change at target end...
    Advantage:
No need to worry about the time taken to receive the Response ....  however it is always better to introduce some alert mechanism if the response is not received within some desired timeframe ... this behavior is shown in the BPM designs present under: IR -> SAP BASIS> http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns --> BpmPatternReqRespAlert

  • BPM Sync Interface - Help

My current scenario is File to Proxy Sync
From the sender side, two files are coming, so that i am using BPM in my interface.
    My current BPM Steps
Inside the fork, i have give 2 receive stps.
Receive 1 - Receiving First file
Receive 2 - Receiving second file
    Transformation - Mapping - Merging 2 files
Send Step - Sending data to Proxy.
By using the above steps, my scenario is working fine without any response from the proxy.
Now, my proxy is giving response back, i need to receive the response and send the response to a file.
Experts pls advise me, how to handle this within BPM?
    Thanks in advance..
    Regards,
    Mani.

    Hi Abhishek,
I was getting error in coorelation, now it is fine and i have completed the bpm steps as you recommended and did the checking in the IR, no error was displayed. Now I am doing ID configuration.
I have given the steps in ID that i have created, Pls correct me, if i am wrong.
    Sender Agreement:
    File 1 - File Adapter
    File 2 - File Adapter
    Receiver Agreement
BPM - ECC - Proxy Interface
    Interface Determination
File System - File Interface1 to BPM receive step 1
File System - File Interface2 to BPM receive step 2
after this point, i got bit confused in creating interface determination. How many interface determination and receiver determination we need to create, since we are using two transformation and two send step in the BPM.
    Pls advise me in this.

  • BPM Abstract Interface for IDOC?

    Hi all,
I am doing an IDOC XI File scenario with BPM.
I have created an Inbound Asynchronous and an Abstract Interface for the LEGACY SYSTEM(Target Message).
I didn't create any Abstract interface for the IDOC(Source message).
    I am getting this error:
<b>"Expression must return the interface type DEBMAS.DEBMAS06.DEBMAS06".</b>
Do I need to create an Abstarct Interface for the IDOC?
According to the above error, BPM is expecting an ABSTRACT INTERFACE Type for the IDOC.
    Experts need help from you.
    Thank you,
    Joslyn.

That mapping is an dummy mapping between Idoc to Abstract Idoc Type. Here Sender Idoc Interface is mapped with Reciever Abstract Idoc interface.
So inside the BPM, Abstract Idoc interface acts as a Container variable to collect the idocs.
    For simplicity-for collection of idocs
You can see, BPMPatterns from the SAP BASIS Software Component in your XI Repository.

  • BPM and interface mapping

    Hi All
I have done a BPM which collect messages and send them to a file adapter in one message.
I have added a tranformation step , which uses the interface mapping IM_map
when i run the program it failes , and in the sxmb_moni_bpe it showed mapping error and navigating to the message it says the following
    http://test.com.IM_map
    (SWCV=127593A01FA211DBC43DEDD90A16547D) not found.
I deleted the Interface mapping IM_map and created a new Interface mapping IM_map_2
and refreshed the cache and changed the mapping program in the BPM to the new one , I can se the IM_map_2 in sxi_cache but whenever I run the program it stille shows the message refering to the deleted inteface mapping IM_map that is not found .
how can I get rid of this error.
    Thanks .

    Hi Malu
while creating new IM in IR activate this with your software compnent
right Click on the BP object in the IR and activate it select SWC also with this and activate
then make a full cahe refresh either BY t code SXI_CACHE
or In IR go to environment and make a full cache refresh
    or through URL
    http://<host>:5<sys#>00/CPACache/refresh?mode=full     Full CPA cache refresh

  • BPM error: interface are not same

    Hi,
In my BPM I opened a Asy/syn bridge. When I close it I get the error: A interface and B interface are not the same.
A is the interface (synch) which I used on the sender side when I opened the bridge. B is the aynch. abs. interface for the receiver side for which I defined a container.
A interface response and B interdace request are the same. Why do I get this error? Any idea.

Make sure that you have created a SYNC interface (ABS) which refers to the Request and response messages....and then the COntainers in your BPM refer to these request and response messages only!
The COntanier should have the same message types as they are in the SYNC ABS message Interface..... as of now they are different and hence the error.
Just have a look at the BPM pattern which I mentioned in previous reply and you will know which message has to be include in the Receive and Send step.
    Regards,
    Abhishek.

  • BPM - Message Interface

    Hello all,
I have some doubts about Messages Interface used in BPM.
BPM just used Abstract Message Interfaces, but to expose the Interface to sender aplication, XI need the same Message Interfaces that is declared abstract but no abstract.
My question is how the Business Process Engine that the Outbound Message Interface, that my application is using, is the Abstract Interface that activate my Integration Process???
    Regards,
    Luiz

    Hi
BPM can process only through abstract interfaces.
Those abstract interfaces attached to a receive step in BPM(Receive step is a mandatory step to start the integration process) are automatically assigned as inbound interfaces with respect to BPM and will be outbound interfaces with respect to sender side and similarly in the receiver side.
I didnt get your question properly.hope i am giving the answer you needed.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Queries on Business Process Monitoring (BPM) & Interface Monitoring

    Dear all,
I have got a few queries on the subject and would greatly appreciate any valuable inputs.
Before I proceed, want to clarify that I have downloaded all overtly available  documents (PDFs, SIMs) from the following URLs:
    http://service.sap.com/rkt-solman
    http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager  Media Library
    http://service.sap.com/bpm Media Library
I may not have read them all though since I come from a Functional angle.
Kindly reply to whatever query you can please. Not all of them are sequential.
    Queries:
    (1) How are Interfaces with External Systems (beyond the firewall of the enterprise) monitored ?
    (2) Is it really worth listing all such External Systems as Logical Components in their own right ? I guess this makes sense if at a Process Step level, one wants to list a 'specific' Logical Component involved instead of 'generic' term like External System. However, it would benefit only if Interface Monitoring is feasible; isn't it ?
    (3) There are Interfaces which are built between SAP and External System and serve various Business Processes under various Business Scenarios. In such circumstances,  it is not easy to list which Process 'owns' the Interface. Therefore, under a normal Implementation Project structure (SOLAR02), choosing a particular Process Step, getting into 'Development' Tab and listing the Interface Program name may not be feasible, since there is no particular place where it belongs.
Is it therefore a good idea to create namesake Scenario for capturing all interfaces and list a library of all interfaces and store documents right there ? If so, will these namesake processes be of any use in BPM at a later date ?
    (4) If my primary objective is to accomplish Interface Monitoring and not Business Process Monitoring per se, is it a good idea to create a new Solution Landscape, and manually create Business Processes that are suited to list Interfaces than to assign Template or Implementation Project to the Solution Landscape, and inherit those Processes ?
    (5) What is it that a SAP Competence (Support) Centre will find as a 'major' gain in activating BPM to monitor Interfaces alone - is there something that SolMan's BPM based Interface Monitoring gives more than what PI level reporting may provide them with ?
    (6) In Interfaces with Non-SAP Systems (some of them are old/ proprietary legacy systems with Credit Card companies; some of them are like 'Active Directory' servers), is it possible to define Metrics for BPM that such systems will contribute to SolMan, for reporting purposes ? Or, is it too much to hope for
Thanks again, for your patience and advance thanks for your kind responses.

    Hi,
    Welcome to BPM
You have asked too many questions in a single Post, Please read rules of engagement before posting
You can monitor the following without any trouble.
    &#9679;      ALE/EDI
    &#9679;      qRFC
    1) Its obvious, if your firewall blocks all your request to external enterprise, it is not possible to monitor.
    3) These interfaces are not the one related to development tab in SOLAR02, you have to map them from BPM.
    4) Yes, you don't have to depend on any project for your processes, you can add it in your Solution Landscape.

  • BPM Studio 11.1.1.5 Install Issues

    Greetings,
I am trying to work with BPM Studio 11g but have been unsuccessful at getting the extensions installed correctly with JDeveloper 11g. I have a fresh installation of JDeveloper 11.1.1.5 and installed the BPM Studio extensions for JDeveloper via Help>Check for updates in JDeveloper. The download and installation process appeared to work fine however when I try to utilize the BPM functionality in most circumstances nothing happens or the options are not available. The BPM Analyst role is available via Tools>Preferences>Roles and the option to create a BPM Application/Project also seems to work, but not much else. I noticed a list of warnings in the JDeveloper 'extensions' log window that suggests the extensions weren't installed correctly. I've uninstalled JDev and installed 11.1.1.3 with BPM Studio extensions and I get the same issues. I'm not sure what to do at this point.. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,
    Yes, thats the problem.
You are creating file from test tab of  1..N mapping .
In case of 1..N mappping in mapping Extra tags of messages are addded to the data.As shown here:-
    Messages
          Message1
               MessageType
When you use this mapping to generate xml message then it will add additional tags for <Messages> and <Message1>, which is not correct. it should only have structure of you MT.
So remove start and end tag of <Messages> and <Message1> from your data file. Mentioned below in bold.
    <xml......>
    <Messages>
    <Message1>
    <MT_...>
    </MT_...>
    </Message1>
    </Messages>
    This should solve your problem.
    Regards,
    Sami.
