BPM Workshop Java Api

Anyone knows a documentation reference and a library which I can approve or reject a requisition in BPM Workspace using Java API , I like to customize the application , is there another way to do this ?
Thank you.

When you create a BPM application in 11g, you're actually creating a SOA composite application with a BPMN component in the composite. From within the BPMN editor, you can specify the interface (parameters) of each start node in the process. If you select a start node, look at the implementation tab, you'll see a properties group that lets you define the interface one property at a time, or by selecting an interface from the catalog.
By defining these properties you're also defining the shape of the Web Service interface that will automatically be created in the composite. If you switch to the composite view, you'll see your BPMN process with a wire to it from a Web Service that's generated from the interface defined in the BPMN editor. The naming convention is the BPMN process name with ".service" appended. When you deploy the BPMN process, the web service will also be deployed, since it's also part of the composite. From Enterprise Manager (EM) you can test the service and get the WSDL, which could be used by other applications (e.g. .NET) to start and interact with a process instance.
This is one of the advantages of the 11g architecture. The composite exposes services to consumers/clients. The implementation could have been BPEL, BPMN, a Mediator, Java/EJBs, or any combination working together. To the consumer, it's just a web service.
In case your next question was about security ... you won't see properties about security in the BPMN editor. You use Web Service Manager to apply security or other constraints to the web service endpoint.

  • Will BPM Tasks JAVA API work with Weblogic+ Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 ?

    Hi,
    I am working with the JAVA tasks API for working with BPM Human workflows that deals with programmatical interaction with BPM from ADF applications. The same is working fine in ver 11.1.1.4.0.
    My Question is that whether the same will be supported in the upcoming versions (may be 11.1.1.6.0) or do I need to change the approach by programmatically calling webservices provided as an out-of-box feature with my BPM.
    Much Appreicated !

  • Oracle BPM Java API - getting informations about process activities

    Hi
    I have a problem with Oracle BPM Java API, can someone help me?
    I have a business process project deployed in Oracle SOA Suite and I need to get some informations of my process programatically via Java API.
    Basically I need to get informations about process activities and the corresponding human tasks referenced by these activities.
    I'm able to get the HumanTasks of my Business Catalog and also to get the Activities of my Process, but the relationship between them is null.

    IProcessModelService processModelService = bpmServiceClient.getProcessModelService();
    List<ProcessMetadataSummary> processMetadataSummaryList =

  • How to query Task via instanceId  as argument in Oracle 11g BPM Java API ?

    hi,
    Is any one successful of getting Task Object  with InstanceId as argument using TaskQueryService or InstanceMangementService ? If So please provide the API.
    I am actually looking to assign a task to participant via JAVA api .
    Thanks

    You will have to query the base tables which are
    OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL and
    OE_ORDER_LINES_ALL

  • Java API for Error Handling

    There are some common error tables storing error IDs information ( IDs like error type, project id, interface id, message id etc.) in Operational Database (is not on source or target system) which we have to update using java API. We need to call java API (java code) whenever error occurs. We have to provide all the IDs to this function and then API will take care of DB updating. We can call java API in mapping program by creating user-defined java function, this will trap all the errors which are in source file as well as in mapping and mapping lookup. Query is:
    A-      A- Do we have any other place after the mapping to call this java API and trap the errors through it?
    B-      Can we call Java API using BPM and pass error IDs to it.

    Hi Anand,
    You Have to write Module For that(if you wanna call Java API after Mapping)at the receiver.
    To write Module Here is a link which will help you in.....

  • Any java API to get the metadata for a deployed bpel process in soa/bpm11g?

    Hi,
    Just wonder if this is possible, that there is some existing java api to retrieve the metadata (containing activities, isSynchrous, version information etc) for a deployed bpel process? If not, is there any other way to achieve this goal ( or example query database table directly)?
    I can only find this link for soa11g java api. I am able to invoke the bpel process using this API(direct binding) from java client.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/apirefs.1111/e10659/index.html?overview-tree.html
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Bin

    What I find so far:
    1. can get some process property values from ComponentInstance class, see its api.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/apirefs.1111/e10659/oracle/soa/management/facade/ComponentInstance.html
    Please refer http://blogs.oracle.com/soabpm/2009/07/soa_suite_11g_api_tricks_part.html of how to get the component instance (contain the bpel process) from a composite object
    2. in dev_soainfra database schema, the CUBE_INSTANCE table contains most of soa bpel components information. The BPM_CUBE_PROCESS table seems to contain only the process defined in a bpm application. This sounds a little confused, if we want to develop a bpel application, should it be put in soa or bpm application and what is the difference?
    Please feel free to correct any mistakes here.

  • Where is the internal java api?

    Where can we find the internal java api for obpm?
    Thanks,

    No, the url you provided is the articles about java PAPI and they are not API document. Moreover, this is the document for the java PAPI client which is from external.
    I want the internal java API doc. For example, if you double click any automatic activity, a script editor will display. And you can put your java code there. But it is not the same with the java PAPI client. Where can I find that document.
    I want something like this
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/papi_javadocs/index.html?fuego/papi/package-summary.html
    But this is not for using internally. For example, internally I can use Fuego.Xml.XMLObject directly, but I cannot find it in the api document above.
    I don't understand why it is so hard to reach an API doc. Does oracle want people to use its product?

  • Aqualogic BPM and Java Server Faces

    Hi, I want to know if you can control the workflow from a jsf application outside the BPM environment, if not some way to integrate JSF and the BPM flow.
    i'll appreciate your help.

    Hi,
         There are a couple of ways to interface with a BPM Process deployed in ALBPM from an external Java based application:
         a) You can use PAPI (Process API) which is a Java API. You can write code to query instances and also process them through this API as far as they do not have Client components as part of the implementation (like forms). In the event that you have forms, you may need to use the WAPI or HTML API. You may also use PAPI-WS as an alternative for querying isntances.
         b) You can query the instances using PAPI or PAPI-WS and then use WAPI or the HTML API for processing instances in interactive activities that may have interactive components as part of their implementation (an interactive activity implemented with a screenflow rendering BPM Object Presentations or a JSP).
         Information about PAPI, can be found in the Enterprise distributions in the client/papi folder.
         Information about the HTML API can be found in the Studio On Line Help. You can look by "HTML" and find useful links.
         Hope this helps !

  • Unable to raise password expiry warning exception in OID using JAVA API

    Hi,
    We are maintaing the user information for our application in OID(9.2). During logon, it is required that a warning is given to the user according to the value set in "Password Expiration Warning" parameter.
    A pl/sql program (using DBMS_LDAP/DBMS_LDAP_UTL packages) written to test password expiry raises the PWD_EXPIRE_WARN exception as expected. However we are unable to simulate the same using the JAVA APIs.
    We did try some thing like the following:
    public class SampleExpire {
    public static void main(String argv[])
    throws NamingException {
    // Create InitialDirContext
    InitialDirContext ctx = ConnectionUtil.getDefaultDirCtx( "TCS-UUODC4",
    "4032",
    "cn=orcladmin",
    "welc0me" );
    System.out.println("Hello");
    // Create User Objects
    User myuser = null,
    try {
    // Create User using a subscriber DN and the User DN
    myuser = new User ( ctx,
    Util.IDTYPE_DN,
    "uid=C100013, ou=People, o=UUSD",
    Util.IDTYPE_DN,
    "ou=People, o=UUSD",
    false );
    catch ( UtilException e ) {
    * Exception encountered in User object constructor
    System.out.println("User creation failed");
    // Authenticate User
    try {
    myuser.authenticateUser(ctx,User.CREDTYPE_PASSWD,"Z100013");
    catch ( UtilException e ) {
    * Authenticate fails
    System.out.println("Authentication failed");
    } // End of SampleExpire.java
    The authenticate user does not raise any exception.
    Am I missing something ?

    Can anyone told me how i can retrieve all the groups that exist in my livecyle using JAVA API.
    Some method who return all groups ??
    Thanks!

    First Thank you for your answer
    I tried this part
    //Set connection properties required to invoke LiveCycle ES
                Properties connectionProps = new Properties();
                connectionProps.setProperty(ServiceClientFactoryProperties.DSC_DEFAULT_EJB_ENDPOINT, "jnp://test:1099");
                                                                      connectionProps.setProperty(ServiceClientFactoryProperties.DSC_TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL,Service ClientFactoryProperties.DSC_EJB_PROTOCOL);
                connectionProps.setProperty(ServiceClientFactoryProperties.DSC_SERVER_TYPE, "JBoss");
                connectionProps.setProperty(ServiceClientFactoryProperties.DSC_CREDENTIAL_USERNAME, "administrator");
                connectionProps.setProperty(ServiceClientFactoryProperties.DSC_CREDENTIAL_PASSWORD, "password");
                ServiceClientFactory scf = ServiceClientFactory.createInstance(connectionProps);
                DirectoryManager directoryManager = new DirectoryManagerServiceClient(scf);
                PrincipalSearchFilter psf = new PrincipalSearchFilter();
        psf.setPrincipalType(Principal.PRINCIPALTYPE_GROUP);  //Recommended - refines the search to a User or Group
        psf.setRetrieveOnlyActive(); // Recommended - returns only ative users/groups and not obsolete/deleted users/groups
        List<Principal> resultList = directoryManager.findPrincipals(psf);
        System.out.println("Done");
    and when I check the result of my list I find incomprehensible informations.
    So when I debug the code ,  my list  contains little information.
    NB : my LDAP contains hundreds of groups.
    Any suggestion
    Any code Source.

  • Java API to read the Encrypted Values from Windows Registry settings

    Is there any Java API to read the Encrypted Values from Windows Registry settings ?
    My Java Application invokes a 3rd party Tool that writes the key/value to windows registry settings under : “HKLM\Software\<3rdparty>\dataValue”.
    This entry is in BINARY and encrypted with 3DES, using crypto API from Microsoft.
    3rd party software to encrypt the data stored in registry it
    either uses C++ code: and uses the call “CryptProtectData” and “CryptUnProtectData” or
    If it is a .NET (C#) it uses the call “Protect” or “UnProtect” from class “ProtectData” of WinCrypt.h from the library “Crypt32.lib.
    Note: The data is encrypted using auto-generated machinekey and there is no public key shared to decrypt the Encrypted data.
    Since the data is encrypted using auto-generated machinekey the same can be decrypted from a .Net / C++ application using CryptUnprotectData or UnProtect() API of WinCrypt.h from the library “Crypt32.lib.
    To know more about Auto-Generated MachineKey in Windows refer the links below
    http://aspnetresources.com/tools/machineKey
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms998288.aspx
    I need to find a way in Java to find the equivalent API to decrypt (CryptUnprotectData) and Microsoft will automatically use the correct key.
    But i couldn't find any informato related to Java APIs to enrypt or decrypt data using auto-generated machinekey.
    Is there a way to read the encrypted data from Windows regsitry settings that is encrypted using the Auto-Generated Machine Key ?
    Kindly let me know if Java provides any such API or mechanism for this.

    If the symmetric key is "auto-generated" and is not being stored anywhere on the machine, it implies that the key is being regenerated based on known values on the machine. This is the same principle in generating 3DES keys using PBE (password-based-encryption). I would review the documentation on the C# side, figure out the algorithm or "seed" values being used by the algorithm, and then attempt to use the JCE to derive the 3DES key using PBE; you will need to provide the known values as parameters to the PBE key-generation function in JCE. Once derived, it can be used to decrypt the ciphertext from the Regiistry in exactly the same way as the CAPI/CNG framework.
    An alternate way for Java to use this key, is to write a JNI library that will call the native Windows code to do the decryption; then the Java program does not need to know details about the key.
    That said, there is a risk that if your code can derive the key based on known seeds, then so can an attacker. I don't know what your applicatiion is doing, but if this is anything related to compliance for some data-security regulation like PCI-DSS, then you will fail the audit (for being unable to prove you have adequate controls on the symmetric key) if a knowledgable QSA probes this design.

  • Performance of Java API 2

    Hello,
    we are currently using Java API 2 that comes with MDM 5.5 SP5 (Build 5.5.42.65) to read extended information from the mdm repository.
    Our process:
    We are export every product as a XML file over the MDM Syndicator and enrich this file with extended information from the API (This step is needed because we cannot export all data by the Syndicator, for example multilingual attributes / some product data like textblocks / id's for incremental updates ...).
    Actually the performance is really bad, we need ca. 10-15 secs to process one file, that is really frustrating when you have stored near 70.000 products in your repository.
    Are there some tricks to improve the performance or is the API really so slow? Or any better alternatives for an fast export?
    Thanks for your help ....
    Best Regards,
    Jan

    1 - If you are able to use the EJB connection with the LiveCycle SDK classes (you have are using a supported java version such as 1.5_xx, your network security doesn't prevent RMI calls, etc.) then that is your best bet.
    2 - Yes, you will need the java APIs to be accessible for your application. The LiveCycle APIs have remote EJB endpoints so you can access them from another server.
    3 - There are samples that ship with the LiveCycle server (located in your LCInstall\LiveCycle_ES_SDK\samples\Forms). There are also samples on the LiveDocs page at: http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/8.2/programLC/programmer/help/000064.html
