we had run std cost run last month... after that we came to know that for one of By product price is high
in This month we want to change the price using Mr21/Cost run
Its not allowing to change in Mr21 and displaying error current or future std cost exists...
In CK11n n --Test ruits displaying old month std price only..
How to cahnge the price of this material..

For the by product there is no BOM..
Depend on the by product price only my header material BOM (raw materials + By product) price will change ...
So first i have to change the price of by product then it will reflect in finished product price..

Price change for material with Goods Receipt with out Order reference?

hi all,
Our client company have some finished products produced from raw materials. But we are not using Production planning module. So in MM we are receiving these products with Goods receipt with out order reference(521).
The issue is, the price for this product will change monthly. This new price will affect the existing stock as moving average price calculation.
ex:
                                 Quantity             Price             Value
Stock balanace        100To                 2.00/To         200
Newly produced      100To                 2.20/To         220
after the GRN for newly produced is done. The price also need to change as below.
Total                         200To                 2.10/To         420
This is easy if we receive goods with PO price, as moving average price will updae in the master record.
But here no reference. So only quantity updated with existing price.
So how to achieve the change of price ? Please help.

Every month My client company revise the price of the produced material based on various factors including the
raw material purchase cost.
The price will be fixed for the whole month.
While posting the GRN, the accounts updated are,
Dr Material account
Cr Production Cost

Automatic Price Change at the time of Confirmation of PP order

Dear Sir,
When Production Order is being confirmed (T Code COR6), the
price of the BOM material (Finished Goods with standatd price)is getting
changed. PR document type FI document is created and UMB key
is getting the hit with a very minimum amount. (0.01 Indian Rupees) . This is not happening regularly. But suddenly in one confirmation it is happening. The process order are created in
the system for 1 month say Start Date 01.01.2009 End Date
31.01.2009
This is happeing when confirmation is made in first day of next month
for previous month i.e. for process order of January 2009 (Start
Date 01.01.2009 End Date 31.01.2009 ) confirmation is made on the
01.02.2009. Document date is 01.02.2009, posting date is
31.01.2009.
The PR (Price Change) docuement is getting generated on 01.02.2009 with posting date on 01.02.2009.
At the mont end there is no manual Price Change thru MR21 transaction.

Hi,
You need to check that material Standard Cost estimation has run or not for the next period. Normally Standard cost run can be run every period or once in 3 periods or once in a year. Based on this the standard cost estimate will update the material prices in the costing 2 view if any changes in the existing price. May be his could be the reason you may face the problem.

Products Price studies

Dear Experts,
my customer wants to make price studies for the finished products, they want when the exchange rate of dollar changed that they can make studies for all current products by changing the raw materials price and see their effects on finished products before they make any actual changes because raw materials are standard not average I tried to use Reference and Simulation Costing but I can do that for just one product but they need to do that for all products for example when I change the price of one raw material I can see the effect on all products price to make a decision.
so I need your advice if there is another solution in SAP

Hi Nassar,
The costing results are stored in DB tables. There is no way to check all changes on-the-fly.
I can only think of make CK40N costing in another costing version. But still data will be stored in DB.

Price Change of Materials

Hi MM experts,
Is there any report to see the change in price of materials. MM03 gives this information but limited to one level. I wanna know full report of changes, i.e. in different periods, that mean there might be more than one changes in price.

The price change document documents price changes as well as material debits and credits.
Choose Accounting -> Controlling-> Product Cost Controlling---> Actual Costing/Material
Ledger --> Information System -->More Reports ---> Price Change Document.

Just had "the email" myself and I'm wondering just how many millions BT must have spent in their fight with SKY for advertising that customers come to BT for phone, broadband and vision and how many, including me, will be staying.

Manual price change on Sales Order line

Hi everyone,
Say I have a product A and have entered this in the price list Product A = USD 100 per unit.
I create the order and process the order, do ship confirm, but at the time of creating the invoice, I want to change the price to 97. or 95 or whatever. This is not fixed and depends probably on various business factors not in anyone's control.
I tried to manually change the price on the sales order line, but it is not allowing me to change, saying 'no manual discounts available'. My questions are :
1. How can I manually change the price of a product at the time of invoicing?
2. I have not defined any modifiers or qualifiers. Is this required, and if yes, what type and how to do it.
3. At what level can the price be changed? at order booking or even after ship confirm?
4. If I change the price today, this price change will be applicable to what orders? All orders with booked statuses, or all orders which are not yet ship confirmed, or all orders not interfaced or all future orders entered after this price change is saved?
5. Do I need to make this price change in the price list also?
Pls reply asap.

You cannot change the price once invoicing is done or when the Order Line Status becomes 'Closed' . Any change at the order entry level can only be effected till the Order Line Status is in 'Entered' Stage.

We have defined a modifier for our business purpose where by we can manually change the Price at the order entry level. If you require I can send you the screen shots of the setups we have done. I would need your e-mail id for that.

Price can be changed till the order is in 'Entered Stage'. It cannot be changed once it is 'Booked'

I did'nt understand this question actually. I think the price change is done on an order to order basis, if it is done for a particular order I don't think so it would affect further orders. If i'm changing the price in my price list then surely it would affect future orders.
5. Do I need to make this price change in the price list also?
This depends on ur business situation. If the price change is permanent u can make the changes in the price list also. Our business situation demands a base price to be defined in the price list even though the price we enter at the order entry level is always different from what comes from the attached price list.

How to Control Finished Product Price based on Raw Material

Hi Experts,
Our client manufactures Steel Products where basic Raw Material is Steel.
Customer will give annual contract/Sales Order on the rate prevailing on the contract date. But there is clause that if Steel prices increase / decrease by 5% then correspondingly Finished product price will change by 3%.
How can this be mapped in SAP where by based on Raw Material price, Finished product can vary?

CO-Product, price difference issue

Dear Experts,
we are getting a probleum in CO-product, price difference do not split correctly.
Suppose there are three product A is the main product and B, C are Co-product, maintain equal valance number in material master MRP-2 view,
Planned qty in BOM is A-40, B-30,C-30
Actual GR QTY from PO. A-50,B-20,C-30
Price difference after settlement is 50,000/-, that fifty thousad should be distributed in actual quantity receive from from PO but system distributed on planned quantity, Material Ladger is active.
Please help to solve the issue

Pls check if the settlement rule in production order is updated according to rules from material master.
Remember that first you have to update the rules in material master and after create the PO, so it gets the rules from material master.
I believe you can also change the rules for co-product in KOB5.

Price changing after suggesting and approval

Hi Experts,
I need help: our company sells domestic appliance, for expample TVs, dvd, refrigeratorsu2026.. We have in SAP the prices for each product (e.g. article with label UE40D6530 and the price is 999 eur. We have a large number of article, and 90 branches in whole country).
My inquiry: for some reasons I need change the price from 999 eur to 949 eur (due to local competitors), but I need, that 1 user can suggest the new price 949, but the another user with higher authority in SAP can this new lower price approve.
Also, the price will be changed at 949 eur only after the approval from the user with higher authority.
Is there any transaction, which can do this?

I will describe more, what I mean::
We have 4 users with a different authority in SAP in this order (from low to high):
VP001 u2013 this user can change the price only to -3%
LM001 u2013 this user can change the price to   -15%
NO001 u2013 this user can change the price to -30%
OR001 u2013 this user can change the price to -100% (unlimited)
Our company sold the products in shops (not at internet)
Example:
We have the product UE40D6530,which is normally sold for 999 Euro.
But the customer wants the lower price, at 949 Euro. The different/discount is 50 Eur (999-949=50 Euro), what is 5% of discount.
VP001 (manager of branch) is not able to make this discount, because his limit is 3% of price change (in our example is discount 5%). He is only able to suggest the new price at 949 Eur, but he is not able to change this.
This suggest go to user LM001 (he has limit to minus -15%). He can approve this new price at 949 Eur.
I have these questions:
a)     How and where can I adjust the authority to particular users and to particular price changing? Which condition, or transaction, or something else?
b)     Can I do this change only at VK11,VK12? Is there any other transactions, where can I change the price of 10 000 products in bulk?

Hide/ unhide option for Product prices

Hi All,
We want to implement hide/ unhide option for Product prices i.e. whenever the user wants to unhide the price of a product, the user should click on a link u201CHideu201D and then it should hide the price of all the products. And similarly, when the user clicks on u201CUnhideu201D link, then it should display the prices of all the products.
Can it be done through some config or through some code changes. Can you please let me know how to achieve this.

Hello Nikhil,
I assume that you would want to achieve this at the catalog page level or at a basket level. There is no standard config that can be used at runtime to hide/unhide price elements as per user choice.
What you could do is modify the corresponding JSP files to add your custom logic via combination of some Javascript and div tags.
PS: Refer to the section of the item details div on the order screen which uses similar logic to collapse/unfold item details on click of the arrow buttons.

Raw Material price change and its effect in costing of Quotation.

I have a scenario in which the Quotation is given on 11th May, and the costing of the Order is done where the Raw materials Details along with overhead costs is determined, and then sales value is quoted, after the production is done after 2 months, and at the time of dispath there is a change in the price of raw materials. The user wants to known that the net loss or profit against that order due to price change in the Raw material.
Will it be possible at the sales Order Level and whether it will give the costing as per the current RM rates.

I think the best way is to use a Make to order scenario with cost calculation in the order. the calculated cost is then stored in EK02 condition, the at invoicing time you can calculate the variance in CO/PA between real cost and estimated cost.
You have to ask the help of smart CO guy to do this.
