Brand new Ipad 2, forgot to connect with itune or icloud. It says ipad disampled and connect to itunes, which I have several times.

Brand new Ipad 2, It says 'Ipad is disabled, connect to ITunes. It won't do it. When I got it, I forgot to connect to iTunes or icloud. Now I can't get it to clear or start over.

What happens when you connect it to your computer's iTunes by its cable ? If your computer isn't recognising the iPad so that you can reset the iPad :
PC : iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support
Mac : If you don't see your connected device in iTunes for Mac - Apple Support
If you don't have an iTunes or iCloud backup, then after you've reset the iPad back to factory defaults what you can redownload for free from the stores will show in the Purchased tabs in the iTunes, App Store, and iBooks apps.

Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.

I have just bout a brand new ipad mini and commenced setting it up. I had to leave it for a while and switched it off. When I came back to switch it on it asked for a pass code and I haven't set one up as far as I know. Anyone know whats going on!

You can only deauthorize everything to do that. Click on Account under Quick Links. You can deauthorize all five there. But you can only do this once a year.

I have a brand new iPad 2 and it is not being "seen" by iTunes for Windows (64 bit Win 7)

I originally had my iTunes library (music, apps, etc) on a MacBook. Used "home sharing" to drag over most of my collection to my new Windows 7 laptop. All apps, music, etc show up fine in iTunes on Windows but when I unpacked my new iPad 2 and plugged the apple cable into the USB port on my Windows laptop and the other end in my iPad 2, no synching occured nor did the iPad 2 show up on the left-hand list on iTunes.
Any idea what might be wrong? I did already try different USB ports. Each time I plug and unplug I get the audible notification from my laptop that the cable is disconnected and/or connected. so it's not a hardware issue.

A Couple of questions..
Is the location shown under preferences/Advanced/General still showing the correct location?
Is the check boxes under this checked or unchecked?

Brand new iPod Classic will not sync with iTunes. All my older devices are fine, but as soon as this is connected, iTunes stops responding when it says it's "determining tracks to sync."

Also, the iMac I'm connecting it to is brand new as well - replacing a slightly older one. My complete library got imported during setup and, like I mentioned, my older iPod classic synced fine, as did our iPhones. Thoughts??

Is the Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC option ticked from under the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes? If so disable this feature and then try resyncing the device.

If it is brand new, bring it back to Apple before the warranty expires, if you are using iTunes on a Mac.
If the Apple Genius Bar is 10 hours drive away then I would suggest, when you want to sync, disconnect from Internet, stop your Antivirus and sync your Ipod.
Very advisable to disconnect from Internet when you stop any Antivirus program.

Unable to send any email from my brand new ipad 2 and my iphone 3gs lately

Brand new iPhone 4 won't sync with iTunes!!

I can see this topic has been covered several times but I haven't been able to fix this problem. Is it true that you must have iTunes 10.1 to use an iPhone 4?!?! Because I was never informed of that...sorry if I'm sounding stupid but I am brand new to mac and to the iphone and don't understand. I have read elsewhere that you only need iTunes 9.2 (which I have) but when I plug in my iphone it says I need version 10.1...and I can't get version 10.1 because I only have OS X 10.4.11...what the heck am I supposed to do? Is it true I'll have to pay an additional $130 to upgrade on top of all the money I just dropped on the phone?

Mac system requirements
* Mac computer with USB 2.0 port
* Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later
* iTunes 9.2 or later (free download from www.itunes.com/download)
* iTunes Store account
* Internet access
This has been out since the phone was launched. Depending on your Mac it might be a $30, or a 130. best to make an appt with your local Apple store to see what can be done.

Brand new iPod will not fully sync with iTunes

Howdy! My issue seems to be similar to the other thread "new 5G iPOd formatted for windows, no Movies tab????"
I purchased a new 30GB iPod yesterday and plugged it into my iTunes (7.0.2). After naming the iPod I set it to upload all my iTunes content to the iPod. Then the registration process comes up. Once I tried to complete it I got an error saying that the iTunes Store was having a problem and I should try again later. So, I waited until the upload was done and checked my iPod. None of my videos, audiobooks or any purchased content had been uploaded.
Having only owned a first generation iPod I was ignorant of what I should see in my iTunes window with this new one. I only have four tabs: Summary, Music, Podcasts and Contacts. On my Summary page the "Update" and "Restore" buttons are grayed out and the Software Version and Serial Number display as n/a. AND it was formatted for Windows (what's up with that?).
I went to the wife's computer and did a restore and a software upgrade (Version 1.2) and saw all these tabs that my iTunes didn't have! I was elated! Plug it back into my computer and I still have the same problem, nothing has changed. At least now I'm past the registration problem as I completed that on the wife's computer. When I try to manually move purchased content to the new iPod I get an error saying my software needs to be upgraded.
So, I believe that iTunes is confusing my new iPod with the old one. But, at least on the old one I was able to upload purchased content, if not video and photos. I did name them differently, so there shouldn't be any confusion there. One thing I find odd is that my old 5GB iPod has software version 1.5 where my new 30GB iPod has version 1.2. This must be the root of the problem.

that sounds like the ipoddriver.kext has gone skunky on the Mac. see:
iTunes 7 for Mac: Restore option is not available
iTunes: No Photos or Videos tab in the iPod preferences pane in Mac OS X
iPod does not appear in iPod Updater or iTunes in Mac OS X

Just opened the box would not see the phone. I had taken it to AT&T to get it activated. All well. Works fine and sound great. Can't wait to get it all set up.
Trying to synch with iTunes would not see the phone. Since I still have the old phone I hooked it up too. It would not recognize that one either. So....
I decided to look on line. Seems like other folks are also seeing this issue. Some are deleting iTunes and the accessory files and the reinstalling. This seems to work for most folks that I read about. So I tried it. Cant get iTunes deleted. iTunes helper is "being used". I've turned it off in the system preferences and can't find any file anywhere. I pretty much have to continue down this path now.
So I suspect if I can get this deleted and then reinstall I should be in pretty good shape.
Please help me find what ever is preventing me from completing the deletion.

If you are using Windows, open a Command window with Administrator privilege and type the following:
netsh winsock reset
Then reboot and try it again. If you have a Mac or the above doesn't solve it you have a corrupt backup; delete it by going to iTunes Preferences, Devices tab.
