Brbackup from DB13 not working

Dear experts,
For the past one week suddenly my Offline backup from DB13 has stopped working. I havent change anything on my SAP server or Oracle but its not working.
First I checked DB13 logs. Last messages it is giving me is like as follows

when I checked my previous DB13 successful logs I saw that next message is

Obviously it gave me idea that might be database was not closing out successfully. then I checked and compared my oracle alert logs but havent found very obvious changes their. Please check below messages of alert log. First set of messages are of successful backup and next set is of my recently failed backup

I used to schedule backup at 3 AM but when I came to office next morning my oracle instacne was in idle mode. I checked ps -ef OS command and saw process of brbackup was still there and not a single byte had been taken as backup.
Please help me if you have any clue.

"Old" update rule from ODS not working

Hi Gurus,
I need to set up the "old" fashioned update rule to load data from an ODS1 to another ODS2.
The thing is that I need to set up an update rule because I need to implement a Return Table Routine that is not supported (as far as I know) by the new Transformation/DTP.
When I select option (through the right mouse click over ODS1) "Other Options" - "Create Update Rule" it takes me out of the RSA1 and leaves me in the main menu making it impossible to create a new update rule.
The strange thing is that I have this working from and ODS to an InfoCube.....
Suggestions, a workaround??

Just to confirm that this is not working. The tys_TG_1 structure only shows me the target infoprovider structure. Check that in the how to, to be able to derive employee first you need to assign eache source_filed to the result_field leaving employee blank.
I need to have in the same place, the source_field structure (source infoprovider field structure) and the result_field structure (target infoprovider structure). That is what the "old" return table gives me as in the same place I can have the communication_structure (source infoprovider field structure) with the return_table structure (target infoprovider structure).
Just to understand, in the source infoprovider I have 12 Key Figures (1 for each period) and I have to split each incoming record to 12 records. If I work only with the result_field structure tys_TG_1 and the result_package tyt_TG_1 I'm not able the see those 12 KF.
So... return table functionality is not fully supported by BW 7 as far as I know.
Any other ideas why I'm not able to create the old Update Rules from an ODS?

Can only add music with Autofill from Library (not working with playlists)

I can only add music using the Autofill feature and it will only work when the main music library is selected. Autofill does not work when a playlist is selected and I can not add music directly by dragging songs from a library or playlist as described in the owner's manual.
Is there something wrong with iTunes, the iPod or is this user error?

You're right it's the same for me.
I don't know as you mentionned whether it is an user error or not but I've got 2 iPods now, one is 60 Go color display (60Go) and the other received yesterday is 2G iPod Shuffle (Clipod). I can't drag songs from 60Go nor to iTunes Library neither to Clipod Music. The autofill function works only from iTunes Library where I've got 5 songs only (new MacPro), somebody knows how to export 60Go music to iTunes Library ?

Why is my symbol loaded dynamically from library not working?

Hope someone could help,
The code in "Example1" work fine if the video symbol is located on the stage. But what I'm trying to do is load the video symbol from the library dynamically and that doesn't work as illustrated in "Example2".
My question is why does Example1 work and Example2 not work?

"Automatically retrieve CD track names from internet" not working

I'm about to begin re-ripping all my CDs (400+) which I haven't done since at least 14yrs ago in order to take advantage on newer/better formats. I was excited to see that iTunes can automate a lot of this process with the following two options:
- When you insert a CD: (Import CD and Eject)
- [ ] Automatically retrieve CD track names from internet
Found in the "Playback" settings of iTunes 10.1.1
However after inserting my first CD, I noticed it started to import without downloading the track names first. Obtaining track names manually is working for me because if I choose "Advanced -> Get track names" it accesses Gracenote DB and works fine.
It's just the automatic operation after inserting a CD that is not working. This causes me to have to:
1) Insert CD
2) Choose "Advanced -> Get track names"
3) Click "Import CD"
4) Eject
as opposed to the one supposedly promised step of "Insert CD" and have the other 3 things happen automatically.
I've tried deleting my iTunes plists in my ~/Library/Preferences/ folder but it still works the same.
Any suggestions?

You can seach the Gracenote site directly. I don't know if that would help you decide which option you needed to use.

RDP from internet not working in Hyper-v VMs

Sorry for my english .I hope to explain clearly my problem .
I 've Hyper-v on Windows 2008 server r2 . I've 3 Virtual networks ( External , Private and internal ) .
In my VMs there are two domains . The first one is bound with internal Vn and the second is bound with private Vn. My Host RRAS is configured to switch inbound connection RDP (3389) to a second RRAS (Virtual machine bound with private network) . Last
RRAS does port forwarding correctly to the machine for RDP connection ( port 3389) request .
RDP works only from host and VMs but not from internet in private vn.
RDP from internet connects but when try to configure session disconnects . Any ideas ?
Netstat says "SYN-RECEIVED" then disconnects .
All other services work fine (http mapped between RRAS host and RRAS vm i) and RDP works in private virtual network from internet . I think the problem is nat over nat for port 3389 in internet connection . I've tried to disable firewall but
not works .

Also add firewall exception "from" any or specific ip "inbound" "to" whichever destination.
To truly test, you ca disable firewall, if it allows rdp session, then you know it is something with firewall.
Remember sometimes antivirus software includes firewall., and in the case of home routers, they have built-in firewall, and Windows also has firewall, so you must be sure to check ALL possible locations of firewall blocking and dropping (even server-to-server).
Basically you would be allowing inbound from your router, NATted through (or routed through) your network, to the destination or allowing inbound from server to server. Also
double check that your server NICs are not having any additional 2nd DHCP interfaces, if so, disable the secondary DHCP NIC and test again. And do:
traceroute
From Internet to the server having the issue and from server to server and it may uncover more details of where things are getting dropped.
I have heard also some ISPs may also try to block inbound RDP or 3389, so be sure and verify that as well.

Notifications from Mail not working in iCal

Notifications from Mail are not working. I have set the proper setting in both iCal and Mail with no luck. .ICS files show up in Mail when I search but they don't populate of show in the Notifications window in iCal.

The same problem here. It used to work for a while. But after the last update it stopped working.
if I get an e-mail reply to an event, it does not update the attendee list.
i figured out though, that if you drag the .ics file onto iCal window (events part), the attendee status is updated and event is marked as done, but there is still a question mark in the upper part of the event.
obviously a bug.

Drag and drop from Aperture not working?

This sounds like a pretty stupid issue but... when I attempt to drag & drop an image from Aperture (to anywhere, e.g. desktop, iweb, mail) it usually doesn't let me. Some photos will drag out but most won't (Two pictures of the identical format and size - one will let me drag&drop it and the other won't), and the export feature takes forever. I tried making sure that aperture is maintaining the previews and that the file to export is half size but still not working... any ideas?

Not stupid at all. That's a feature I use all the time and I'd be pretty PO'd if it wasn't working.
Your profile doesn't indicate whether you're running Aperture 3.x or not. Did the problem appear after an update or has it always been that way on your installation?

Iphoto remove photos from iphone not working

For the past couple months iphoto will not delete the photos from my iphone. It successfully imports them, prompts to delete, appears to delete but doesn't actually remove them. They are still on my iphone. iphoto recognizes that they have already been imported and asks to delete them again the next time I plug in my phone, I accept, looks like something is happening but they are still there. I've tried image capture as well and there is no way to delete off the phone in image capture. Help!?

Can it be, that you have enabled iCloud Photo Library (Beta) on your iPhone with iOS 8.1.3? Then you can import photos from the phone, but deleting from Image Capture or iPhoto will not work, if the photos are in iCloud Photo Library.

Just to add some more information.
We have 3 servers, X(Database + CI),Y(Dialog instance),Z(Dialog Instance).
Server X is the primary node and Y is the failover node.
Gateway is already installed on Database server and I can verify it by giving ps -aef | grep gwrd.

Select in FROM clause not working

I have three tables with one table containing the name of the other two tables and i want to select dynamically the two selects based on their ID that matches in the first table.

What I wanted to do is select the table name dynamically based up on the id in TABLE_NAMES
and I failed when doing this

OR a more generic form with JOIN statement also did not work

What you are trying to do will not work. To accomplish your requirement you would have to use dynamic SQL.
However, I want to stress that this is probably not a good design decision because:
1. Maintainability of the code may be jeopardized
2. Dynamic SQL could be laden with SQL injection vulnerabilities
3. Dynamic SQL generally does not perform as well as static SQL.

Frame access from servlet not working

Dear all,
I am running my servlets on Tomcat 5.5 and using JDK 1.6. I have a small program that uses codecs to access frames from a video file. PreAccessCodec implements Codec interface and PostAccessCodec extends PreAccessCodec. I set the two codecs into the processor's codec chain. The program is implemented as a thread and once started grabs frames and stores the images in a certain interval. The problem is this: whenever I start the thread from a main program, everything runs without a glitch. However, when I put the code in init() method of the servlet, I get the following error message:
The input format is not compatible with the given codec plugin: com.mapper.utils.PostAccessCodec@69d02b
Failed to realize: com.sun.media.ProcessEngine@1478a43
Cannot build a flow graph with the customized options:
    Unable to add customed codecs:

Error: Unable to realize com.sun.media.ProcessEngine@1478a43 I am using netbeans 5.5.1 to deploy my servlets. I doubt that the problem is with classpaths because the servlet doesn't complain when I am using JMF's classes like Processor.

The GE.iH() method should return false for
a ..head-full ..en-headed, not headless
environment, and I expect (from what you
reported above) that will return false for both
your servlet and application, and is apparently
not the problem.It returned false when I tried GE, and it was not the problem as you suggested. However, I now noticed in the logs:
java.awt.HeadlessException
I use Netbeans for the development, and I tried using -Dheadless=true and -Dheadless=false, it did not change anything...
I think it is time to check that assumption
more carefully.
My impression is that PreAccessCodec and
it's 'Post' equivalent are mentioned a lot in JMF
example code, but are custom classes,

Pre/PostAccessCodecs for this app.?Yes I customized them from the JMF sample codes. They are in the classpaths and are correctly read by the servlet. I did some logging and I actually saw that the code inside Pre/PostAccess was logging when my servlet was run.

oes a jar appear in the WEB-INF/lib directory,
that contains the Pre/PostAccessCodec.class?
Failing that, are the classes themselves in
WEB-INF/classes/(sub-dir according to package name)/ ?Nevertheless, just to double check I checked WEB-INF directory and the classes appear correctly in their appropriate 'package-folders'.
I figured out where exactly the thread was not running. In my PostAccessCodec class, I had overloaded getSupportedInputFormats() function to return RGB format.

When I changed it to return {VideoFormat()}, the codec initializes, but I get nothing when I want to access the frame.

Printing wirelessly from computer not working

I am trying to print wirelessly from my computer but when trying to print a word document, it does not work. In the "select printer" tab, the only options available to me are Fax (USB) and Fax (Network)...the printer is in "fax" mode and it will not allow me to print the document.
I do not have a landline and therefore do not need the fax option but it seems to have been automatically set and I do not know how to change it.
How can i set up my word/excel to print wirelessly to my HP 4620, how to take off the fax?

To remove the fax driver, just right mouse and uninstall. There should another printer that is the similarly named without the "Fax", use that printer to print.
Also, how come you have Fax (USB) and Fax (Netowrk)? Did you install the driver twice, once as usb and another network? The computer can only have that printer either as usb or network, but not both.

"mail.smtp.from" is not working for me

There seem to be zero other posts like this, so I'm probably just doing something obviously dumb,
but for me, setting the mail.smtp.from property seems to have no effect.
The debug output shown below says to me that while the property has been set, the transport is using the From address not the value of the property.
Any suggestions for what might be causing this?

I haven't read the FAQ, at least not lately. I'm just stating an interpretation of the behaviour that you described.
Normally, system properties are used to specify defaults that can be overridden. It doesn't make sense to me to have to set a system property to "override" something that you do normally in your code. As a designer, it's obvious to me that the system property should be the default value for "from" and it should be possible to override that on a message-by-message basis by explicitly setting (and thus overriding) the from-address. And you confirm that it really does work that way. I'm not surprised at all. I would suggest that if the FAQ doesn't say that, then it needs to be fixed.

@PostConstruct from superclass not working...

This clearly means that the motd property is not set, i.e. the SuperBean.init() method does not run.
However, if I alter the NormalBean class like this:

The message in the browser displays correctly.
Why is this happening? I need the init() method to be only in the superclass, so the developer doesn't have to bother with the initialization stuff...
Actually, the original bug(?) is in IceFaces 1.8, but I tested it in a plain JSF1.2 application and I get the same behaviour, as you can see.
I am posting this in the Weblogic forum because it works on any Tomcat version greater than 6.0.18, but it does not work in Weblogic 10.3.4
