BRF Expressions and Events transport

Hi Gurus!
I kindly need a support in order to transport from a client to another of the same system all the BRF events and expressions created in tcode BRF for the process workflow.
Can anybody suggest a way to do it, since I cannot find it.

we are using that report with teh option TRANSPORT so that the system is supposed to popup a request creation page....but this is not happening...any clues?
BTW we read in the SAP help the following:
To transport BRF objects that were not delivered by SAP, you must copy the report and add the tables to the include BRF_TRANSPORT_SIMPLE_MAIN manually.
If these tables are specialization tables, note the following:
Specialization tables for expressions: Enter an 'F' in the inverted commas
Specialization tables for actions: Enter an 'A' in the inverted commas
any clues?

So I'm guessing that's really BRF then and not BRF+ ? Most of the forum participants in this space are BRF+ or BRM users, and most of us keep very clear of BRF itself...
You might need to search on that Tcode and see if there's a functional forum that's aware of it or else report it via SAP Message.

BRF+ Trigger via Event, change on field value, etc

Hi,
I'm implenting BRF+ for SPM Claims & Returns Process.
It took me a while to understand how I can set up an application, Function from type event, Rulesets, rules, etc but at the end it seems that it is a tremendous improvement compared to BRF!
So far I have triggered the BRF+ via the CRMV_EVENT_CUST table calling a function module that triggers the BRF+ Function and receives an CRM Log message but this solution is not sufficient for all locations I want to call the BRF+.
At first I want to call the BRF+ for the Entryvalidation: Entering a Claim with a item net value below a threashold should not be saveable.
The second call should be to decide if the Claim will be automatically approved or set to manual investigation: This is a check that will lead to a item status change.
The third and last check will be fullfilled by saving the Claim document: a whole set of business rules have to run and set maybe an incompleteness or process some error messages.
I neither any information in SAP Documentation, nor on any ressource on the net any information about customing the BRF+ Solution.
Is there any customizing in the system, as it is for BRF, that allows me to trigger the BRF+ for Business Transaction Category, Business Transaction or ItemCategories?
Furthermore, is there an option to call BRF+ via customizing that "listens" to a field change as Reason Code ( CODEGRUPPE, KATALOGART,CODE in the Subjectprofile?)
Can I define Events that trigger the BRF+ as in the BRF customizing?
When I search the IMG for BRFPLUS, I find a couple of entries, but doubleclicking on this search results doesn't jump to the customizing step.
It would be very helpfull to get some input in these topics.

yes, the screenshot was from CRM-Financial, but available in CRM Transaction Processing:
And I agree to your statement that there is no such customizing, because I neither found this Customizing, except:
Using the search in the customizing IMG, you will find 3 customizing entries with BRF+ or BRFPLUS, but clicking on them you will land in Nirvana, and not in the proper customizing tree.
But still the overall trigger for my message here is, that the BRF could be triggered via Customizing that doesn't seem to exist for BRF+ and that's strange!
I hope someone knows how the replacement of BRF with BRF+ is intended from this customizing point of view. I have to trigger a lot of different functions and using the old BRF I could trigger this Events using this customizing setup.

Using GREP to bold Date and Event Name

Hi
I am stumped at how to properly apply a bold style to a combination of dates and event names using GREP. I am including three examples below. I do have Paragraph and Characters styles set up. The area I would like to effect the change is in all caps. I am trying to add a bold style only to the dates and the title of the event with out changing the rest of the information.
I started of with this GREP Style:
\d{1,2}\/\d{1,2}|\d\-?\s|\u
It is bolding the dates and the name of the event. But it's not bolding the small dash between events that have a beginning and end dates or the en dash. It is randomly bolding other numbers and capital letters that it should not. Very frustrating. Each time I alter the GREP Style above, it makes it worse. This is as close as I got to the desired effect. Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks! That works. I am using a paragraph style for the body and have a bold character style for the information that needs to be bolded. I notice there are some listings that uses a colon and the bolding continued into the description where the first period appears (see samples below). I added a colon (to the shorter GREP style you suggested) in addition to the perod and excalamation point to search for.. Now the bolding stops at the colon but does not include up to the word "CARRY" (see first example). The second example, the bolding should stop after "FAIRE" but cotinues to the word Wisdom because of the period.
I wish there was a option in the GREP drop menu to search for All Caps only and not Any Uppercase Letter. Is it a case were I need to manually edit those instances so it conforms to the norm? Or is there away to modify the GREP expression ^.+?[.!] to also include other instance like the example below?
I alread try to add an additional rule using the Postive Look Ahead and nothing. And using the Any Uppercase Letter option, either forces the text back to the begining looking unstylized or it forces any capital letters to be bolded.

AirPort Express and AirPort Utility Problems

Hi all
As I have posted before I was having some problems with a slow internet connection and pages loading verrrrrrry slooowly in Safari. Used sppedtest.net to test my connection speed and was finding my upload and download speeds to be fine, so I think that it something other than my DSL intenet connection. Also found that I mgiht be having some problems connecting to the internet via my AirPort Express (sometimes I would see a flashing amber light). After searching Google I found out that I should use the AirPort Ulitity to fix the probem. Well in any event yesterday I updated the firmware on the AirPort, but today was still having some problems. No flashing lights today, but just a slow connection that I do not get on a neighbor's network. Today again I opened the AirPort Utility, but get the following message, "No configured base stations have been found. AirPort Utility will continue to searching." My step-dad suggested taking it to local authorized store/service center to see if they could fix it. Only thing is that they will charge me more the cost of a new AirPort Exprees ($99). Also wondering if I were to buy a new AirPort what is the difference between the Express and Extreme. Not sure if this matters, but my step-dad's computer is a 1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Mac Mini, while I am on a the newest MacPro. For some reasaon I thought I read were the Extreem might be a better choice, as his airport card runs a a slower speed than mine and the Extremw would allow us each to connect at the different speeds, while the Express would not.
One any help in fixxing my problems and answering my questions is greatly appriecated.

The new Extremem models do have Simultaneous Dual Band frequencies which allows the faster computers to connect to it with less outside interferrence from 2.4 MHz devices.
These units also have a built-in 3 port hub if needed for other devices like printers and computers that don't have wireless.

Import and Export transport requests on Netweaver 2004s Sp11 Sneak Preview

Hi Experts,
I have configured the transportation system <STMS> in order to import and export transport requests on the NSP system. The configuration is working properly as files can be imported and exported out of the C:\sapmnt\trans directory. (configuration distributed by STMS -> Overview -> Systems -> Extras -> Distribute TMS Configuration, Folder SAPMNT shared).
The problem I'm facing with the import of some example transports is given by the hanging import queues. In phase 'Import ABAP Dictionary Objects' I have the following message for almost all objects -> '... was not imported in this step'.
I tried to solve this issue by running SE38->RDDNEWPP with DDIC user to schedule job RDDIMPDP for TP imports. I also made the config in TP_DOMAIN_NSP.PFL with SYSTEM_PF = C:\SAP\NSP\SYS\profile\DEFAULT.PFL.
The error is still in logfile SLOG0732.NSP
ERROR:       The following call returned with exit code 7:
ERROR:         sapevt.exe SAP_TRIGGER_RDDIMPDP -t name=NSP
and logfile dev_evt
ERROR ***: MsSndTypeOnce, rc = -20
ERROR ***: Event raise failed
With the exports there is a similar issue in the EXPORT phase, given the note

Batch process is available (parameter rdisp/wp_no_btc = 1)
Profile has been activated by rz10->utilities->import profile->ofactive servers.
Any ideas what still can be wrong? Does the import export and DDIC activation really work with the sneak preview?

Errors: error in transportprofile (param missing, unknown).
My license expires in four days. I tried to extend it via http://www.sap.com/minisap

What is to be entered in 1 and 2.
Where should I look for HWID and Sysnr ?

SAP TM and Event Management

Hello all,
I am a student of informations systems and currently I am writing my bachelor-thesis about SAP Transportation Management 7.0 and SAP Event Management 7.0 in view of Supply Chain Event Management focused on a Fulfillment-Process. I have a few questions belongs to the practicability of this process with SAP TM 7.0.
Usually you use SAP APO to implement SCM-Fulfillment-Processes. But instead of using SAP ERP LES it is also possible to use SAP TM for Transportation Management especially for Transportation Planning, Execution and Service Provider Selection (Integration between SAP ERP LES and SAP TM e.g. via IDocs), isn't it?
I have got a few experience in customizing SAP TM and SAP EM for a Transportation Execution (FCL) and Tracking Szenario. For this reason, i want to implement e.g. a partial re-planning of the Transportation Execution in SAP TM if there is a variation between planned and actual data (e.g. because of traffic jam).
I don't want to know, how to implement this in SAP TM, I just want to know, if is it reasonable to implement this and the scenario above with SAP TM? Or is it recommend to use SAP APO only?

Hello guys,
currently we are handling some problems with the integration of SAP Event Management and SAP Transportation Management. Both are running on the same system.
The Situation:
I had set up a RFC-Connection between SAP EM and SAP TM. In SAP TM I definied the corresponding settings for EM-Relevance of SRQ. In "Integration with other mySAP.com Components" I defined, the Business Process Types, Application Objects Types and the Event Types.
After creating a SRQ, I got the message, that event tracking for the expected shipment request type is activated. While debbuging I found out, that SAP TM found the corresponding Business Proccess Type and Application Object Type to the Shipment Request Type. SAP TM also found the Event Manager which I defined in "Integration with other mySAP.com Components" --> "Define EM" and got the RFC-Destination.
The Problem is, after creating a SRQ there is no message in the Application Log, like "Event Handler was created successfully". The corresponding tables are empty, too.
Has got anybody an idea? Maybe the configuration of the RFC-Connection is wrong or something else?

SRM SC Workflow is not working as per BRF expressions

We are having SRM 7.0 SP5
Based on SC item values, We are determining whether the process level is required or not using BRF expressions.
For a particular data, only 2 process levels are selected.
But I go into debugger mode and skip one process level.
After SC is ordered, when I see the approval process there is only one level.
But when I come out from that SC, and go back to the same one and see, there is 2 process levels(when I am expecting only one).
Can anyone help me out on this? Thanks.

As you are only in SP 5 (last Support Package is 12), i advise you to upgrade until SP 11 or to implement all OSS notes for SRM-EBP-WFL-PC application area.

Alarm and event logging has stopped

Alarm & Event Logging with Citadel 5 and Lookout 6.02.
I have a continuously running application that stopped logging alarms and events approx. 6 weeks ago. (March 07, 2010) The problem went unnoticed until a recent event/alarm sequence needed to be investigated. Data traces are not a problem. They are visible using MAX as well as with Lookout hypertrends. However, MAX shows nothing for alarms or events past that date. (No problem earlier, going back to 2002)
The Alarm panel in Lookout will show the alarms and events as they occur so I know they're being detected.
I understand that the data traces are logged to Citadel, whereas alarms and events are passed to the MSSQL server. (In my case the free version that comes with XP - SQL Server Express I believe.)
This version has a database size limit of 4 GB. What exactly does that mean?
An *.mdf file >4GB cannot be created?
An *.mdf file >4GB cannot be read?
The total size of all *.mdf files cannot exceed 4GB?
Curiously the file in use is 1.99GB. When archived, it is only about 750 MB, yet the total number of alarms and events are the same in each. There are other *.mdf files that exist on the system but aren't in use.
NI document 4GPBLT21 states "Once that limit is reached, the alarm and event data is logged to the high performance Citadel database". Then what? Is that data viewable with MAX?
MAX doesn't appear to have any tools to selectively delete old alarms or events.
How can I determine what has happened and what do I need to do to restart the logging?

Lookout 6.0.2 uses SQL Server Desktop Engine which has the limit of 2G, so your alarm/event database has already reached the limit.
After the SQL database is full, the alarm/event will be logged to Citadel database. But this maybe reduces the performance of Citadel, that's why we log alarm/event to SQL Server first. But I'm not sure why the alarm logging is stoppted.
To delete the alarms from SQL Server is not straightforward. One way is to archive it. Follow the steps below.
1. In MAX, create a new database in different folder.
2. Create a Trace View and add the whole old database to the trace view.
3. Right click on the Trace View and select Archive. Archive all to the new database. You don't need to specify the time range.
4. After the achiving, the new database will have all the trace data and no alarm data in it. You can detach the old database.
In Lookout, select File->Modify Process to change the database to the new database. Or you can change the system default database from Option->System. And then the lookout process will use the new database which has no alarm in it.
You can keep the old database files. All the data and alarm/events won't be lost. When you need them, you can attach the database.

I Just got an 49e Keystation usb keyboard. Im using Logic Express and I not sure how to get the sounds i record to play back. It show that it is playing but there is no sound. can someone please help me

I have an M-Audio 49e, and it works perfectly with Logic Express, so don't despair. I assume since you see the input from the 49e in the Logic transporter window (right?), that you have run the Audio midi setup application in Utilities to install the 49e, that it appears in that window, that you have run the setup assistant for LE and that it shows the 49e as a connected device (right?).
The 49e is used to input notes as an 'AudioInstrument' so you have to create and audio instrument track for it to do it on, say a Steinway piano. Having done that, the track can not be muted, no other track can be solo'd, the volume phaser has to be turned up, your speakers have to be working, the volume slider on the 49e has to be slid at least half way up, say. That's what I can think of off the bat. You might check that the Audio Drivers in the Logic Preferences>Audio is set to Built in Audio. See if any of that works.

Business Event Brochure in Training and Event Management?

My client has a requirement as follows. The training administrator decides the Business Event Types which for which superiors can book their subordinates or not. Those events are stored at a particular place. Once the administrator stores them, a mail should be triggered to all the superiors. Thus superior can have a list of event types for which he can book his subordinates. When he books for such events, a mail should be triggered to his subordinates regarding the training event. If an employee books for an event, a mail should be triggered to his superior for approval.
How is this possible? According to me, those events will be "Included in Brochure" (in Business Event Type Infotype). Am I right?

If you do not want to distribute the costs to FI/CO but only report them, you can use the cost items provided by TEM. We have set up something similar for our plants in South Europe.
We have created some cost items and fill them manually with the training costs. Additionally we have created a report that evaluated this costs and combines them with the employee costs (derived from salary).
