Bridge between JCAPS 5.1.3 and JCAPS6 using STC JMS

Hi
Would be glad if someone could help me configure Glassfish (that we use developing applications in JCAPS6) to use STC JMS. Do not really know how to setup the JMS Resources to access the message servers that we have configured in JCAPS 5.1.3. I try to use connectionURL property but glassfish does not like it, I get a warning in the log "The method setConnectionURL is not present in the class : com.sun.messaging.jms.ra.ManagedConnection"

are you talking about repository based projects?
we are doing this by adding a"Unified JMS Ressource"server to the "Caps 6 environment" (bridge to STCMS ICAN 505)
and pointing this ressource to "stcms://somehost:8888"

Message Bridge between WLS 6.1 sp3 and MQSeries 5.2

          Hi,
          I'm really struggling with getting the Message Bridge working with Weblogic 6.1
          sp3 and MQSeries 5.2. Currently I have both installed on the same Windows 2000
          machine. First I'll pose some questions that I have, then I discuss the error
          I'm getting. Here are my questions:
          1. With the jms-xa-adp.rar there is a ra.xml and a weblogic-ra.xml. Within the
          ra.xml deployment descriptor there are config-properties for ConnectionURL, InitialContextFactory,
          ConnectionFactoryJNDI, and DestinationType. If my MQSeries Queue is the source
          jms destination bridge and my weblogic queue is the target jms destination bridge,
          what values do I set for the listed config-properties? I can't seem to find any
          documentation on what these values should be. Am I missing something? Do these
          values even have to be set?
          2. When I go to install a Weblogic instance to a different physical machine what
          has to be installed in terms of MQSeries? So I'll have MQSeries on physical machineA
          and Weblogic on a different physical machineB. I want machineA to forward all
          messages placed on a MQSeries Queue to forward them to machineB where the weblogic
          Queue resides. Does machineB also have to contain an MQSeries installation?
          Or can I just grab the necessary libraries and jar files and place them on the
          Weblogic machineB so they can be included?
          3. Is it correct that if I distribute Weblogic onto one physical server and MQSeries
          onto a different physical server that I cannot use Exactly-once quality of service?

          I tried your suggestion and it worked!! The only thing is, it
          makes the deployment of the resource adapter a little more
          complicated. Now my customers are going to have to edit their
          config.xml, instead of just dropping in the appropriate rar into
          the applications directory. But one nice side affect of placing
          the rar's in a different directory is it makes the Message
          Bridge a little more stable. I was finding it to be very
          unstable. One time I would startup my Application Server and
          everything was fine, then I would shutdown. The next time I
          started it up, I would get exceptions. I have yet to see that
          behavior with this new configuration.

How to setup thunderbolt bridge between two macbook Pro (retina and 2011 )?

I have a new 13" MB Pro retina and want to use the thunderbolt bridge btween the 13" and the 15" MB pro 2011.
Somehow I cannot do anything with this, and on both laptops it shows the the Thunderbolt slots as "Inactive". I have connected the the two laptops via the new Thunderbolt cable.
I looked around and there is no documentation on how to make this happen. The documentations are very thin or non existent.
I want to use this mechanism to transfer my data from my old MB pro to the new retina one.

unfortunately the option to select thunderbolt/firewire never comes up.
It directly goes to the options from where to transfer and then upcon clicking on it. It keeps on looking with the spinner icon showing and it never finds the other computer.
It does see it through the wiresless but not through thunderbolt.
The more I look to make this happen the more I am convinved that this feature is not fully baked and does not really work as the documentation on "Thunderbolt bridge" setup is next to none existent and only one perons through macrumors has supposedly managed this. It is really a shame as I was looking forward to use this new capability.

JMS Bridge Between HornetQ (on Jboss 5.1) and WebLogic 10.3

I'm trying to set up a bridge between HornetQ (JBoss 5.1) and WebLogic 10.3. The bridge should be set up on WebLogic. It'll read messages from queue on HornetQ and post them on WebLogic Queue.
Here are my preferences on Source Destination:
Adapter JNDI Name eis.jms.WLSConnectionFactoryJNDINoTx
Classpath: empty (?)
Connection URL: jnp://<hostName>:1099
Initial Context Factory: org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory
Connection Factory JNDI Name: /tp/ConnectionFactory
Connection JNDI Name: /etgreceiver/queue
Destination Type: Queue
User Name: guest
User Password: guest.

Yes - I think "pre_classpath" is probably the right place to reference the non-WebLogic jars. That said, layered products like BPEL often provide tooling that simplifies messaging integration -- I assume some even help setup classpaths and may have their own recommended unique way to set them. So I recommend consulting your layered product's documentation and forums.
It looks like this posting already covers the needed HornetQ specific settings. The name of this technology - WDS.
HP Laser JET 1536 dnf MFP connect to one of this routers (copper).
Second device (my NETBOOK) connect to second router (WiFi).
I have good communication between NETBOOK and HP Laser JET 1536 dnf MFP via WiFI-bridge.
In usual case NETBOOK can find (and can Ping) network printer and make a print some files.
But my Ipad or Iphone can't find HP Laser JET 1536 dnf MFP (using Eprint). Ipad and iphone connect
to router across WiFi.
Please, help!

Hypothetically, what if you have:
1) old code which uses a DropTarget to tie together a JEditorPane and a DropTargetListener
2) the desire to set on newish GUI code a TransferHandler. It�s a custom GUI TreeTable component that I want to be the source of the data only (COPY).
When I tried to mock something up and drag something from the new GUI to the old GUI, I did not see a Transferable set in the DropTargetDropEvent of the drop method
Thoughts? Has anyone ever done such a thing before? Google did not reveal much.
The mock up code I have is intertwined with the system so I cannot share it.

Nd help configuring JMS Bridges between COM and SOM

We skip the JMS Bridge between SOM and COM because we deploy the O2A cartridge using the:
- When Central Order Management and Service Order Management Exist in the Same
OSM Instance in a Non-Cluster Environment.
- Customer and Service Order Management in the Same OSM Instance
"Deploy the following cartridges through Design Studio for the simple fulfillment
topology"
Now what happening is: the flow of the order taking time before it was completed or need manually submit the task using oms-automation user.
But even with the above work around we cannot see the billing data in BRM.
UpdateSalesOrderSiebelCommsProvABCSImpl (v. 1.0) this is the last BPEL process we see in BPEL.
FulfillBillingFunction.BRM-ALL.BundleGranularity.FulfillBillingSignificantUpdates is the last Activity we can see in osmwebui if not manually update the task.
Then ProvisionOrderSIResponseTask is the current task in osm task web client where order state is In-Progress.
With that it seems the SOM is not processing.
Do you have any idea why we can't complete the order and see the billing data in BRM?
Is'it the COM and SOM not properly configured, or have some issue with other application(RODOD)?

We started working on OSM 7.0.2 and I have a question about the configuration of JMS Bridges between COM and SOM.
When COM and SOM Cartridges are installed in the same OSM instance on non-cluster env., it is mandatory to configure JMS Bridges between COM and SOM?
If it is case, could you please detail the procedure to follow?
In the document called "Application Integration Architecture Order-to-Activate Cartridge Guide Release 7.0.2 E18005-01" it is not obvious to understand. If you have a look in the table 2-1 page 2-15, I don't see all the mandatory field values to create a new destination bridges (for instance, what is the value of destination JNDI name?). Does anyone configure this part in the setting up OSM to the Order-to-Activate Solution?

The COM-SOM bridge is only required when COM and SOM are deployed on separate osm server instances and AIA Emulators are deployed (on both) for development/demo/quick testing purposes.
In QA/SIT/PRODUCTION environments, OSM should be integrated via AIA, this means that all participant applications ( CRM , OSM-COM, OMS-SOM, BRM ) should be using queue bridges (or SAF in 7.0.3)

Wireless Bridge between WAG120N and E1500

I have my internet coming into my WAG120N and going out wirelessly. I want to setup a wireless bridge between this and an E1500, so I can connect my TV to the E1500 (via an ethernet cable) and have it access the internet. Unfortunatly I can run a cable from the WAG120N to where the TV is. So it I can get the E1500 wirelessly bridged to the WAG120N, I hope I can get around this issue.
I have updated the firmware ont he E1500 to get Bridging support, but from what I can tell it only provides bridging via an ethernet cable. Is there away to bridge wirelessly?

1. Linksys wireless routers don't support wireless bridging.
2. Either install 3rd party firmware like dd-wrt or tomato or buy a dedicated wireless bridge and connect the E1500 to the bridge. That way you can also use the wireless in the E1500 for wireless connections.
3. Otherwise check power line ethernet. That's often a better and more reliable solution.

Bridge between airport card and ethernet port

My son wants to access the internet through the ethernet port to connect his xbox 360. My airport extreme base station is upstairs and my powermac g5 is in the basement and connects to the internet through the airport network (airport extreme card to base station). One of his friends says he can configure a bridge between his wireless card and his ethernet port on his windows computer and was trying to do it on my mac. Can a bridge be configured between the airport extreme card and the ethernet port on the g5 which will allow an ethernet device to connect to the internet? Any advice will greatly appreciated. I have used an external ethernet bridge in the past. What I am wondering is: How can the airport card be configured to create a bridge to the ethernet port on the computer, so the game console could be connected to the back of the g5 with an ethernet cable and then connected to the tv with a/v cables. Do I have to use some external device to provide an internet connection to the game console or is there some way to share the connection from the airport card to the ethernet port?

At Websphere MQ 6.0 side:
³ Create a folder by the name JNDI-Directory under C drive
³ Create the queue manager by using the command at the command prompt:
crtmqm testqmgr or you can create it by GUI also.
³ Start the queue manager: strmqm testqmgr. or you can start it by GUI also
³Define Local Queues in the newly created queue manager testqmgr by using GUI or by using Commands .Assume we have created a local queue by the name MyMDBQueue.
³ Create a file by the name MyAdmin.config,It¡¦s a configuration file under C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\bin directory.
Now add the following entries into the config file

You have a file called JMSAdmin.config under C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\bin directory.jsut uncomment the above mentioned 3 properties and comment the remaing that¡¦s it.
Next run the below command
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\bin>JMSAdmin.bat ¡Vcfg MyAdmin.config
Once you run the above command you will see
this prompt InitCtx>.
Now your command prompt will stop at

Just type the following commands
a) InitCtx> def xaqcf(SenderQCF) qmgr(testqmgr) press enter
b) InitCtx> def q(MyMDBQueue) qmgr(testqmgr) queue(MyMDBQueue) press enter
c) InitCtx> end press enter
At step a it will create a queue connection factory by the name SenderQCF UNDER QueueManager testqmgr
At step b it will create a queue by the name MyMDBQueue UNDER
QueueManager testqmgr
At step c Its ends the Context cration process
At Weblogic 9.2 side:
Go to your domain location lib folder i.e. In my system it¡¦s in C:\bea\user_projects\domains\bplus_domain\lib. Add the following jars in lib folder

Confirm User Password: < optional>
Now configure a new Bridge by using above configured two source and destination
jms bridge destinations
At source you have to select Other JMS.don¡¦t select Weblogic7 or Higher because the source of this bridge is WebsphreMQ, not weblogic
Now once again RESTART The weblogic9.2 serever and put one message on WebsphreMq queue and check whether it reaches the destination queue of weblogic

Unable to create a JMS Message bridge between Weblogic 12c and Weblogic 8.1

I am unable to successfully create a Message Bridge between Weblogic 12.1.1.0 and Weblogic 8.1. The error message being received is:

I have managed to get a JMS bridge working between 12c and 8.1 by including the 8.1 weblogic.jar on the classpath. This setup was using eis.jms.WLSConnectionFactoryJNDINoTX.
After trying to use the adapter that supports transactions, WLSConnectionFactoryJNDIXA I received the following error:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: can only be called from server
Is this because the Weblogic 12c server now views the 8.1 server as being foreign?

Bridge between a relational DB and an XML based DB

Iam implementing a repository which acts as a bridge between a relational db and an xml db, has any work already been done in this area ?

It seems to me you have 3 choices...
1. Re-invent the wheel from the ground up. Having been involved in both iFS and XML DB I can only comment that creating an repository on top of relational data is a non-trivial task, even when you have access to the database source code....
2. Abandon database independance and create a solution that leverages the features of Oracle XML DB. This will give you the quickest time to market.
3. Consider creating a facade over the Oracle XML DB resource API. Your facade would hand processing off to Oracle XML DB when the underlying database was 9iR2. In the case of earlier or non oracle databases you would need to implement more of the logic in the application layer.

Workgroup Bridge between WRVS440n and WAP321

Hi, i am trying to expand the wifi range of my WRVS4400n. Since the WAP4400 is'nt available i got me a wap321, since it was mentioned as recommende replacement. However i am having trouble in getting the bridge to work.
First i tried to use WDS but this only killed my WRVS4400n and i am now trying the Workghroup Bridge mode on the WAP321.
On WRVS4400n i have enabled WDS and have tried both auto setting and Manual without any difference
I am stuck with this status on the WAP321:
Network Interface Status and Statistics VLAN ID Name (SSID)
WLAN0UPSTRM Disconnected 1 myssid
WLAN0DWSTRM Up 1 myssid
It is the Infrastructure Client Interface setting that fails, i've tried both None and WPA pesronal Security setting with same result: Disconnected
What am i missing?

Hello Lars,
Just wanted to add a note to this as well. Pretty much the workgroup bridge is made to be used with other wireless devices that are not WAP121's and WAP321s. Cisco pretty much recommends to use WDS bridge if you have another WAP321 or WAP121.. if that is not the case then workgroup bridge is your other options. The admin guide should have some good documentation on this and also if you click on help in the GUI of the WAP321 it provides a lot of great information as well! It gives you recommended set up for this configuration.
Other than that you do not have to set up WDS on the WRVS4400n. As long as the SSID, wireless channel, wireless mode, wireless bandwidth and secuirty is the same on the WAP321 and the WRVS4400n this should work out just fine. Maybe have to power cycle the devices a couple times to get it to come up but I know I have gotten this to work between a RV220w and a WAP321... so I do not see why it shouldn't work between the WRVS4400n and the WAP321.
