Browser Flash Problem

When my site runs on a slow browser before my flash can get a chance to load in its place the word "TEST" appears. I don't know what the problem is and was wondering if anyone knew what it was and or if they know how to fix it so it never shows up again.

Flash is no longer supported by Adobe on mobile devices. That's why it is gone.
There is no option for signature in Blend. Hopefully, that will come at some point.

Full Browser Flash in firefox help

Hello.
first I'd like to say beforehand that i'm just an average
timeline flash designer. not really deep into programming. and
doesn't know any programming languages except PHP on an advanced
level nothing more nothing less. I mean, I only use javascript via
copy paste from a site that gives codes. so here's my question:
I have made a full browser flash site, or so it was called
(is that official? FBF?) my problem is, it doesn't work in firefox,
i tried googling, it resulted to change the doctype to an older
one, I did that, no progresss, delete the doctype enrtirely, did it
too, still no progress. And, found some site that let's you insert

It works ok in IE and btw, I only know how to make a full
browser flash by changing the size in the code from width="x" to
width="100%" and height="x" to height="100%" basically, I just set
any dimension i see in 100%. but of course I already created the
flash movie size that extends to 1280 x 1024.
can you help me please? I hope I enough info so you may
tackle wherever I've gone wrong. Thanks!

Any chance your video card might have "video" related settings that might be interfering? While I'm not suggesting that you switch browsers, trying to reproduce this on another browser will give us a datapoint to see if this is firefox specific. I would recommend giving both IE or Chrome a try to see if it still occurs.

Getting rid of a "download" icon appearing in Safari browser Flash Player

Please HELP!! I've inserted two screen shots to demonstrate what I'm trying to get rid of. Some months ago I downloaded the Free Video Downloader for Mac from here:

I'm stuck with a very annoying "Download" icon that POPS UP TOP LEFT when I mouse-hover on any and all Flash Player content on my Safari browser. I'm on Mac OS10.5.8. This is ONLY happening on my Safari browser. Not on Firefox or Chrome. I downloaded a Flash Video downloader for Safari months ago. I've deleted ALL traces of the app. I've been everywhere in my system Library - Application Support - Safari folders - etc, I've looked everywhere. Updating Flash Player makes no difference. Clearing all data in the Flash Player System Preferences interface does not get rid of it. Clearing the entire Safair cache does not get rid of it. Re-installing Safari does not get rid of it. I've tried anything and everything I can think of and I've run out of ideas! Short of wiping my hard drive and re-installing Leopard which I do not want to do, I'm stumped. Every time I hover my mouse over Flash content - I'm STILL stuck with this highly annoying "Download" icon in the top left corner of all Safari Browser Flash content. I am having exactly the same problem. Have trawled the internet for solutions and can't find one yet. Please can there be someone clever enough out there to fix this? It's driving me insane... Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

Full Browser Flash

Hey guys,
I need to make my site full browser flash because when a
portfolio element is clicked in its menu, a black overlay fades in
and a project swf is called. Simple enough, but of course the
overlay needs to fill the user's window otherwise it will look
disjointed.
When I publish to full browser flash I have set the
dimensions to 100% and got rid of the margins. The only problem is
that the image and pixel text is distorted because they aren't at
their proper size! Is there a certain size I should build to?
I had one idea that I could have a flat colour background
that uses the stage class to scale it's size whilst the content
stays the same size, the black overlay would use the scale class to
define it's size too.
Would this work? I would obviously need to make sure that the
central site stays central.
Any ideas?

Browser flashes when any button is clicked on web pages

This started about a week or so ago. Every time I click a button on any web page the browser flashes to white then back. It usually takes 3 or 4 clicks before it actually does anything. It started after I upgraded to Version 4 so I reverted back to Version 3 and worked my way back up to 4 to see if it would stop with any other version but it hasnt. Is this an issue with my browser or my pc?

Let me told you, i was traying to implement what you say in your last post but now i'm facing a new problem,
The way i used to create the new field from HTML for the comment is not correct because the data in the GRIDLAYOUT are paged, so, when i change the page all data that i introduced in the field are ereased and i must save that values before change the page in a kind of buffer or something like that.
so my new question is this, Do you know a right way to add that field to GRIDLAYOUT? and then save this values in a Z table before save al plan data into the infocube.
Sorry for all this questions but ive read a lot of articles and I can't find anything really helpful

Flash problem persists after 6 months...does this new information help?

I posted my problem almost 6 months ago, (I'll paste some of the info below to bring you up to date), but I STILL can't access only FOUR sites because I get a "Plugin file is missing" error, (after my previous post I found 2 other sites). I've been trying to solve this problem off & on, but I got more dedicated the other day because I'll be needing access to these sites very soon. I found some new information today that I hope will solve this awful problem; however, since I'm not very technically inclined I know I have to ask a "Flash Expert", so here goes....
I run Windows 8 & I use Mozilla exclusively. I updated Flash the other day to version 15.0.0.152 & I wanted to make sure the plugins had been updated, so I opened the "Flash Player Settings Manager" & under the "Advanced" tab it lists:
                                        NPAPI Plugin Version 15.0.0.152
                                        PPAPI Plugin Version Not installed
Is it significant that the PPAPI Plugin is "Not installed", or does Mozilla only require the NPAPI plugin?
My second question regards the installation of Flash. I know that when a program is problematic, it sometimes helps to uninstall & reinstall it...I recently had a game that went nuts & that's the procedure I had to do. Also, someone on Mozilla's forum said they were having a Flash issue & they went to your site & downloaded the .exe AND the .msi Installers from the Distribution Page, then manually installed them & their problem was resolved. Would this help me resolve MY Flash problem? If you think it's worth a try, do I have to uninstall Flash first?
Well, that's all the new info I have. I have to figure this out before December because that's when the nest-cam comes back on...I really have to get this problem fixed! I'll paste my previous post below, but I hope the uninstall/reinstall method will be the answer!

I watch several wildlife nest-cams every day running Windows 8 using Firefox 29.0.1, but yesterday morning, (after I'd already watched the 6 cams I view every day), I started getting a solid, black screen with, "Error loading plugin: Plugin file not found", on TWO of these sites.
My attempts to resolve the problem were:
1. Checked all the other web-cam sites I view daily, and there's only a problem on 2 of them.
2. Went to You Tube, Facebook & other similar sites and I can view streaming media.
3. Refreshed pages-when that didn't help, I closed & reopened Firefox & still 2 sites with "plugin loading error"
4. Completely shut-down my laptop & rebooted.
5. Did "System Restore" to earlier in the day when ALL web-cam sites were working.
6. Went to Adobe Flash site & verified that I had the most current version...I do, & I saw the animations on Flash site.
7. Verified my Flash Plugins in Firefox...AGAIN...they're all activated & up-to-date
8. Checked & re-checked ALL the web-cam sites I view every day, (for, at least the 10th time), and the
     same 2 sites are still showing the "Error loading plugin: Plugin file not found" on a black screen. Even
     though the video isn't seen the "chat" area is functioning, (I don't know if that's important, but I
     thought I should mention it).
9. I posted the issue on Firefox's Forum but no one has an answer since Flash works everywhere except
     for 2 sites.
I've tried everything I can think of to troubleshoot this, but as you can see, I've had no success in solving this "mystery".
As for the 2 sites I can't view, they are:

I've been watching these sites for MONTHS, so why I can't view them all of a sudden, well, I'm clueless, (I guess you already figured that out...ha ha ha). I hope you have a solution for me, as I'm desperate! I'm WAY behind in my documentation for these 2 sites, so hopefully you'll have an easy answer. If it's a technical thing, please use LOTS of details, as I'm not very technically inclined.

P.S. I just checked on another site that offers many different wildlife cams, & I CAN view the "Pittsburgh Bald Eagles" if I go through: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/pittsburgh-bald-eagles    I'm sure this means something, but since I don't understand this technical stuff I don't know what that is! (I told you I'm clueless!)

I definitely see a problem with the pixcontroller/eagles site on Windows 8.1. It works fine for me in the same version of Firefox on Windows 7. It's unclear to me whether it's a Firefox or a Flash Player issue, but I'm happy to look into it further and get some bugs filed.
As a temporary workaround, both sites work fine with Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.

Flash problem after software update (on 10.6.8)

I'm having flash problems on *some* macs after one of the recent software updates (june 2012).
On my school's 10 iMac's (2010), I can't play flash games anymore *in safari*. Chrome is ok.
An example site, is http://www.barryfunenglish.com/games.php (select any game)
But on my school's 6 MacBook Pro's, I can - both safari and chrome.
It was working 2 weeks ago on all computers.
I'm using Software Update server from our server to update all the macs, so it's possible there was an update problem.
Why is flash missing on the 10 imacs safari? But not on the macbook pros?

Yes, it was blacklisted by Adobe for security vulnerabilities. OS X now checks to make certain you are running a safe version and disables it if you aren't.
With the latest update, you now have the option of having Adobe doing a "Silent Update" in the background without your having to do anything. I would recommend you implement it.

Oracle 10g express edition browser login problem

I installed oracle 10g express edition and after installing successfully logged in browser , unlocked hr login and also created one form then I shutdown the database and rebooted my pc and since then when I try to login to "go to Database Home page" after starting database , I get a cookie 127.0.0.1 with username and password, First of all I am not sure what username/password it is expecting, I believe it requires my Windows XP username and password , I tried to enter couple of times my pc login username which has administrator privileges, I also checked it has ora_dba group but after entering pc username , password browser opens saying "unauthorized". I created another os user and tried with that still same. I tried entering oracle password "SYSTEM" and password for it but still could not login, I tried HR username password still nothing.
I tried disabling firewall but still same issue. I tried to re-install two time but still same .
Start database dos prompt does show all the process are started successfully .
I also did ping for 127.0.0.1 and it does ping.
I tried everything what I knew.
Can anyone please help me ..to resolve this issue .

This is how I resolved the browser login problem .
I checked the listener log
C:\OracleXE\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\NETWORK\log
And found the error
TNS-12542: TNS:address already in use
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00512: Address already in use
I have another version for oracle installed on my pc .
I ended both the oracle process (Oracle.exe) through the Task Manager
Then manually started OracleServiceXe service through Component Services
Control Panel Performance & Maintenance Administrative Component Services
Then did following
Programs Oracle Database10g ExpressEdition Start Database
Programs Oracle Databse10g ExpressEdition Go to Database Homepage
Enter username SYSTEM
Enter password xxxxxx whatever given at the time of installing.
And I did successfully login to the browser .
Hope this will help to those of you who have run into similar problem which I faced

Browser display problem in firefox

After reinstall Vibe 3.3 to new server. Browser display problem in firefox. Last column only display half in the table. But IE is display fine. Any suggestion?

According to the bug report it was found in 3.3, so either they had this problem before or they used an older version firefox than 16 prior to the server migration.

Firefox not helping with Flash problem

Ok, so, I'm getting really irritated with Flash. I talked to
a friend who was having flash problems and they said they
downloaded Firefox and it fixed the problem. Well, after doing
EVERYTHING else first, I thought, what the heck, maybe it might
actually work. So I downloaded and installed Firefox. Ok, that
installed perfectly fine. So I used Firefox to download Flash 9. I
thought all was going to work out, because Firefox didn't just
refresh the page like Internet Explorer did whenever I clicked the
"Agree and download now" button on the download page. It actually
downloaded and "said" it installed correctly. But I still can't
play ANYTHING no Youtube STILL!! I go to youtube on Firefox and
aperently it doesn't regonize any Flash on my computer. I go to
youtube on Internet Ex. and it says I need the latest version of
Flash. I tried rebooting the computer. I tried uninstalling and
installing it AGAIN. What the F is the problem? I've made sure all
my AxtiveX controlls are set to whatever thry need to be, my
Shockwave is updated, my security is not interfearing. I'm getting
really pissed. I've been trying to fix this problem for months
now!! What else could be going wrong?? Is there something I haven't
tried yet? Do I just need to get a new F-ing computer? Someone
help!!

Well the first thing you need to understand is this...
Flash Player for Windows Internet Explorer is an ActiveX
control.
Flash Player for Windows for ALL other browsers is a plugin.
They do the same thing ultimately, but they're separate
downloads and on your machine they're actually seperate bits of
software.
So the reason that so many people have success with Firefox
is that the Flash Player plugin seldom has install failures. But
for IE Windows users the Flash Player activex control often has
permission-related install failures that cause these kind of
issues. It's unfortunate, but very, very complex and we've been
fighting it for a long time.
So the thing to remember is that when you're talking about
Firefox, you're not dealing with ActiveX controls in ANY way.
So here's the question.. When you launch JUST Firefox, and go
to this page, what do you see?

Flash problem in IE - not the usual one.

I am new to the game here. I've created some pages that use a
Flash video player. The user can click on a list of available
videos (XML generated), and the video will load in the player and
play.
Works fine in IE and Safari on Mac.
Works terrible in Firefox on Mac and Windows (seems to need
to buffer for a long time before play starts - longer than the
specified buffer time).
In IE for Windows - videos play fine and load fast. but -
activating a video seems to "lock out" the rest of the page -
rendering the ability to click through to other links not possible.
Eventually, if i smash around enough, i can get a link to work -
but its a terrible experience. This doesn't seem to be the "usual"
Flash problem in IE (ie click to activate) - but I'm new - so this
may be a related issue?
Help??? I don't even know where to begin.

Explorer 7 + vista ultimate+ flash problem

Hello,
I have just intalled vista ultimate and I have a serious
problem with explorer 7 and pages with flash contains. Each time i
go through a flash contain with my mouse pointer the flash contains
starts to " flash" like crazy!!!
Do you why? is a a display problem, flash problem (version
9.028)??

I had to step back from this and take a different approach.
While tossin' down some aspirins, I worked on my other niece's
laptop to upgrade to FP10 and troubleshoot. Identical to T2, but
with more Yahoo stuff: homepage, toolbar, chat, etc.. Turns out she
had already done it via Adobe yes/no prompt. No issues, everything
works OK. She said it only took a few minutes. I checked it out and
checked the settings, it's OK. Go figure.....
So, I will approach this as a problem with Manual
Downloading, which you and I did (not sure about Morac).
The HP desktop? We don't normally use IE7 on it, as it is AOL
Dial-up only, so few/no cookie issues on IE7. I kicked in IE7 and
FP10 worked OK. Well, as OK as dial-up video can be....
OK- a question for ya, this will tell me if I'm on the right
track: On your first FP10 upgrade, did you FIRST uninstall FP9, or
download/install OVER FP9? Please answer honestly....no judgements
here...
I didn't uninstall first- I admit it! I never do for Adobe
and Java, as I want to make sure the new version/upgrade works OK
before losing the old. I was on the old dial-up for too long, I
guess. There are exceptions, of course, like AVG.

If you have a lot of elements you are resizing, it may become
worthwhile to look into using a layout helper class to do this
stuff for you:

Full Browser Flash that Validates in XHTML

I would like to have a full-browser flash intro page and have found how to make that happen by using the publish settings in Flash; however, the code it generates includes deprecated elements (such as <embed>) and does not work at all when I try to add alternate content for SEO purposes or change the DOCTYPE. Where can I find how to change the code so that it still works as advertised as an XHTML 1.0 Transitional (or better yet, Strict)?
I'm working with AS3, by the way, if that makes any difference whatsoever...

Full browser Flash stop resize?

I have built full browser Flash sites like

there is one thing I don't like about them. I would like to
be able to
have a minimum size, at which the browser would add the
scroll bars
back. If you look at the site above, it resizes really small
but never
give the viewer a scroll bar. The file is 800px by 600 px,
but you can
resize way smaller and never get a scroll bar. Is there a
way, where I
can add something to the file, where its like: if browser
window is
smaller then 800 x 600 add scrollbar to browser? So like a
minimun size?
Like a conditional to the embed?

If the document size is greater that (I forgot what), then it
loads the
flash as 100%,100% (and the flash does internal resizing and
placements), if
not, I load a fixed size flash.
