Browsers not loading images, pages loading like text pages.

I've had an issue for months now that comes and goes where images will not load on any browser I use. When the issue comes up, I'll open all the browsers I have to find its occuring on all of them, they are: Safari, Chrome and Firefox.
I'm also getting an issue where pages will load like a text or source page. I've tried clearing the cache and resetting Safari, restarting my iMac, but it doesn't work. Then when I used the computer later in the day it'll be fine, it's an issue that comes and goes throughout the day and I'm not sure what's causing it or how to fix it.
Any help will be appreciated, thank you.

How to load images when loading application from Jar

Hi,
my program runs fine and all the images load from within Netbeans but the images dont load when I run the application from the executable Jar I created.
In netbeans I used:
Image image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage("images/fractions/image1.png");This works when run from netbeans but not from the Jar file.
I created the Jar file using Netbeans Clean and Build function. Should this include the image files (which are located in an image folder 1 directory below the src folder were the .java files are located) or do I have to somehow explicitly say that the Jar should contain the images? or is there another reason the images aren't loading?

You should be use the getImage() method that takes a URL as a parameter and use the getResource() method of the class to get the URL to the Image:

Muse Not Exporting Images/ Inconsistent Loading

Up until yesterday my whole project was all working great, no problems. Now it doesn't matter whether I preview, export, or save, Muse will just not load some assets. It's very inconsistent, as sometimes it will load a certain asset but after refreshing it won't show up anymore. The only one that has consistently not worked is the water animation at the bottom of the page, but, as I mentioned, it was working perfectly just a few days ago with no change. I was just about ready to publish this before it happened, so the timing couldn't be worse. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Your Muse file is giving 12 warnings that you have not exported Edge Animate oam-files to the pages. Check that you have added (exported) only oam-files to the pages from Edge Animate App!

Load image on mouseover after the page is showed

hi guys, i have a slideshow with 30 images and it load all the image until show the page but it takes amount 6-7 second..is there a method to load only a thumbnail and show the page and when i click or mouseover on thumbnail load dinamically the image...... i think it can be done changing the image src ....

Could not load images - website loaded without formatting

I created a website with parallax effects which loads beautifully in Chrome, Safari and Opera but not in Firefox. You can check the website at "varun.web44.net". Please help me identify the problem. Is it a problem of Firefox?

That is a problem with backslashes in the URL of the files.
You will have to change the backslashes to forward slashes to make it work in Firefox.

Word Processing templates have what is called a Document Body.
That is the area defined by the margins and holds a default text area which flows from page to page.
Examples of WP templates are the Letters, Reports, CVs etc.
Layout templates have that switched off and require you to add Textboxes or Shapes into which you can type text. Each page is an individual Section and no text flows from page to page.
Examples of Layout templates are the Brochures, Business Cards, Posters, Newsletters etc
In Pages '09 you can manually link Textboxes to flow in your own set order and across pages. Pages 5 has dropped this along with 100 other features.

Problem with loading Images from Google

Doesn't load images

I am trying sample files (gallery_tween.fla) in Flash 8
samples directory. I publish it run the .html file it is OK. But
when I copy the .html file which includes the swf file to another
directory and of course change its path to the swf file it doesn't.
Please help because I want to use it in my site as picture gallery

Load image into holderMC

I'm working on an application which places instances from my
library onto the stage. Every instance has a movieclip inside it
which is called holderMC. What I want to do is to load external
images into holderMC except I can't seem to get it working. How
does one load images into a pre-defined movieclip?

Oh, sorry, wasn't looking properly. You cannot load images
into MovieClips like in AS2, you have to use a Loader or the
UILoader component.
If you want to be able to position the loader visually, then
you can give an instance of the UILoader component and instance
name within the THEPhoto MC, and use the following code:
MovieClip(photo).holder.load(photoRequest); //where holder is
the instance name of the loader.
OR
Within the ThePhoto class you could create a new Loader:

Firefox is failing to display many (but not all) images on websites that I visit, some images are shown and some are not even if they are in the same format.

I recently changed my ISP because I was having connectivity issues. In particular my router would shut down sporadically. As part of my attempt to clear issues I ran some spyware software which I've been told I could trust. Since then I have a problem viewing many websites as many (but not all) of the images are missing, even on websites that I know very well, including my own. What is very strange is that on one site every page has a jpg image under the navigation bar and all of these jpg's appear except one which doesn't appear even when I reload images. This problem also makes security sensitive sites like my bank site look very amateur which frightens me. The problem does not occur on other web browsers.

Images dont show up on page

Thumbnail images no longer show up when i use youtube or visit a web site, and my face book no longer shows images either. For instance, on youtube home page, it will show links and text, but the images are not present.

Why do i no longer have the option to NOT download images as content

My reason for this is living in Australia where our government with their head in the sand attitude, does not see it as necessary to provide quality internet connections to the rural population thus we have to rely on wireless broadband technology which is very slow at most hours of the day therefore my need to not download the large images of webpages. I get by without them. Was using firefox 22.0 till a reinstall was necessary & firefox 29.0.1 no longer had this feature. I was given v29.0.1. Haven't looked at more recent versions. Is there a fix around this.

I think the problem was that many users blocked images accidentally on the right-click menu, so the feature was "buried" a little deeper.
To globally turn off loading of images, you can "uncheck the box" by changing a setting in the about:config preferences editor. Here's how:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''perm''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''permissions.default.image''' preference and edit the value to 2, then click OK:
* 1 = Load automatically
* 2 = Do not load images
* 3 = Load "first party" images automatically, but no others ("first party" means the image needs to be hosted on the server shown in the address bar)
This should take effect on your next page load.
For an easier way to adjust this setting, you can use an extension to add a toolbar button. The following extension covers numerous different types of content, but if you only want a button for images, you should be able to show just that one:

This older extension adds a button to turn images on and off on a per-tab basis, but I don't think it can override the global setting so if you use a lot of new tabs, it probably won't accomplish your objective:
