BT Employee Broadband cut off - Automatically bill...

Hello,
I received BT Employee Broadband from a family member who was working for BT, their employment ended about a month ago, and I have been waiting for a call from BT to notify me of the end of service and options available.
I havn't received any calls or messages until this evening with a text message and an e-mail thanking me for my order for BT Total Broadband Option 3(at full price, no gift card, or anything else) becoming active TODAY.
I read on the website, and the employee who gifted it to me was told that at the end of the service I would be notified about the termination and options available.
I will be calling them tomorrow to make a complaint and cancel the order, but I will probably start a new order with the deals, as no contract has ever been agreed by myself for any broadband service other than the BT Employee Broadband.  I will probably call Ofcom aswell.
Is it right they have started a new contract for me without any notice, and just an e-mail thanking me on the start date?

They normally reply by email or phone directly to you within 3 working days they will take personal ownership of your problem until resolved and will keep you informed of progress

    My broadband was cut off this morning as I was late paying my bill. I paid around 3 hours ago online and it said bband would come back on immediately. It is still not on??

  • Broadband cut off and a whole other mess by BT - h...

    I have BT Total Broadband and Unlimited Anytime.....and I receive 2 bills from the same company....why can't they just charge me one amount per month for all the services I get from them??
    So....I somehow missed a DD payment in December for my Broadband. BT then tried to take this payment twice more on the 8th and 16th December  (without telling me first!) and then charged me £10 because they failed again. If I'd been notified that they would try and take the money twice more, then I could have made sure the money was in the account. Surely this is against the DD regulations and I should be notified 10 days prior to an amount being taken?
    They send me a statement in the week before Christmas saying "you don't need to do anything - we'll take this amount from your account on or just after 6 January' (with the failed payments on the statement)
    So I do nothing and wait for the money to come out.
    Woke up this morning and my broadband was off....with a nice message in my browser telling me to 'click here to pay now' and my broadband would be reinstated immediately. I clicked the link and paid the money on my debit card....my broadband came on, but my broadband phone says 'you cannot make or receive calls from this line'
    Checked my bank account online and they haven't taken the money they said they would take on the 6 January
    So.......I phoned them up tonight at 17.50.The guy in India tells me that the payment made this morning (on my debit card) has actually gone towards my phone plan and not my broadband plan!! So I ask him why and he can't tell me. Surely the link on the browser page relating to broadband being off should take me to a payment page for my broadband, and not my phone plan.
    Now I'm no further forward, and can't even SEE my account online because it won't add a broadband account to MyBT.
    And to make things even worse the guy in India cut me off half way through trying to get this sorted out. I phoned back and get a message saying 'the help desk is now closed'
    What an absolute joke this system is......I've now paid money to the wrong account (to which I'm now in credit), need to pay money to my Broadband account, but can't. Not because of any problems of my own, but because BT choose to have a closed help desk, and they also choose not to let me add or see my broadband account online.
    And they also told me they'd take money from my account on the 6 January, didn't take it, and then cut my broadband off today
    Ever so frustrated - why do BT repeatedly mess up like this and frustrate their customers?? Can someone answer this please as I'm sick of talking to call centres who don't have a clue what's going on

  • BT Business Broadband cut off!!!

    I must say that I am absolutely appalled at BTs service, I cannot express how distressed and annoyed BT have made.
    7th Jan I asked for a internal transfer of my phone and broadband from one office to another office within the same. Told this was fine, they logged it, gave me a reference and said it would happen last week of Jan/ first week in Feb but would be called in advance with a date of when it would happen...
    24th Jan, go to office to discover broadband been disconnected. Took two days of countless calls to discover that they cut me off at "my request" and the new line would be installed in new office on 4th Feb! How do they expect a business customer to go without broadband for this length of time!!!??? Spoke to Jackie Kirkpatrick in Dublin customer option who told me "this had BTs mistakes written all over it" and this should not have happen. An internal transfer should be a seamless process with minimal disruption. Logged a complaint for me. At this point I was so angered and frustrated that decided I could not trust BT and wanted to leave given what they put me through - all this whist trying to run a business. Jackie siad he would presonally follow this through and would get back to me...
    It is now 4th Feb and still haven't had the pleasure of his call.
    Over the last week or so made countless calls to BT trying to resolve, get answers and I am sick of explaining yself over and over again. I called yesterday asking to speak to complaints team about my complaint and said they couldn't transfer me through!
    Ive spent hours on hold being transferred from dept to dept and explained myself over and over again
    Meanwhile, get a bill for £650 for period April - Aug 2011 when a few weeks ago I asked to be put on monthly billing.
    I have written an official complaint to BT and Ofcom
    I have had enough and just want out
    I am disgusted that they are running a business this way
    I know I am not the only one that has to endure such a dis-service. How do they get away with it?????

    tbh, I've given up reading your posts as it's now getting very very boring.
    You've clearly got issues, which if you were to produce one clear post, listing these issues and politely asking for help, I'm sure you'd get it, either from other customers or BT themselves.
    Now I'm not one to defend BT, but attacking my fellow customers (noticed on some of your many repetative posts) is really not on. Also personally attacking a forum mod will lead to a simple resolution - you'll get banned from here, simple as that. Calm down, post your issues, sit back and wait for help or produce a polite email and fire it off to the mods or higher up the chain if you so wish.

    I and hayleygreen up there are here for the same reason -- I was a BT business customer until i realised the nightmare I had got into -- I was mis-sold multiple contracts no way of getting out of them -- they sucked my account dry
    BT do have T&C's which should be read before agreeing to any contract.
    Having said that, maybe they do mis-sell on occassion, but I'd of thought the regulator would come down on BT like a tonne of bricks.

    Probably because A.N.Other supplier doesn't want to go to the expense of supplying rural locations as they'll never recoup the money needed to invest in rural locations

    They do, if you email them with your name, account number and a link to one decent post, listing all your issues. Don't expect complex issues to get resolved quickly, but they'll do there upmost to keep you a happy bunny.

  • Stop threatening letters of being cut off if bill ...

    received 2 letters today, in duplicate, telling me that my email address was not valid. how dare bt to dictatate to me what email i can and cannot use about my on-line bt bill at another email that was returned to them, knowing that i`ve been with bt for years, ant telling mt to correct my details, which bt know who i am, and bt telling me that if i fail to pay for my bt services, i will get suspended and would have to repay to get reconnected. this is unheard of, as my bill is collected from my bank every month, on the dot. they need to get their facts fight before writing to someone, and once, not duplicated, as its wasteful and costly. i`m fuming.

    can you go to hub manager then troubleshooting then helpdesk and post 1-12 assuming you have hh5

  • How do you turn off automatic billing?

    I've visited www.att.com/iPad and I can't figure it out... o_O
    I tried registering for an account as well, but it doesn't recognize the iPad phone number.

    On your iPad, go to Settings > Cellular Data > View Account.
    Sign-in with your email and the password you used when you set up the account. it will be in the email you got from AT&T confirming the account. Tap next, tap add data or change plan, tap cancel plan.

  • ITunes 7 Cutting Off Songs

    I'm sorry if there is a similar topic already existing, but it seems that all of the songs in my library (at least the ones that I've tested) are being cut off well before they are finished since I installed the new iTunes 7 (and the new Quicktime). Most songs seem to cut out at the 4 minute mark, a major problem with my songs that are 10 minutes or more. Even songs that are around 4 minutes cut off early; "Billie Jean" cut out at 3:10 even though the song is supposed to go 4:54.
    Some of the other threads have suggested recoding the songs, but when I attempt to do that, it only codes the shortened version. So, when I try to convert my 25 minute song, the converted version only includes that 4 minute segment.
    Has anyone had similar problems and been able to come up with solutions?

    None of those settings have been changed.  The crossfade is not checked.  Moreover, the amount cut off on different songs varies (whereas I understand that crossfade would affect all song in the same way).
    I am not sure what you mean by song - options.  I did not change anything.

    As it was pointed out making prior arrangements could of helped extend the time you need to get your account back in order..
    But if you have to have the phone and its the only thing you have to make calls, I would try other means ( Family, Friends, or other )  to get the rest of the balance payed and you can pay at a Corporate store using the stores Kiosk machine.!   You can pay with Cash, Credit or I think with a  check  but using a check I'd ask the Local store how the policy is on that..

    I use the Tools > Annotate > Add Text feature, and when I click away after adding text, it automatically changes the text box size such that the last letter -- or last word -- gets bumped off into an invisible line below it, forcing me to manually adjust every single text box. It is highly annoying when trying to complete PDF forms (e.g. job applications).
    It appears to be a glitch, quite honestly, an error resulting from Apple's product design. Has it been fixed in the new operating system (for which they want $30)?
    I would very much appreciate any help you can provide! Thank you for your time.

    * "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

    Scheduling SDBILLDL is exactly like scheduling any ABAP report - it is an ABAP report.  Any ABAPper in your team should be able to help.  You need to create a variant for your sales org/distribution channel and schedule this report to run periodically.
    Since you will be running this periodically, the billing date field should dynamically change for every run.  Again a competent ABAPper should be able to help you setup a variant such that the date automaticaly changes for each run.  This is accomplished by use of selection variables

    Our only phone is the landline. We jut switched to Verizon. The phone has been cut off for a week, I have NO way to call Verizon. We JUST got our very frost bill yesterday!     Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases".  You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
    Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information.  This should be checked on a frequent basis  as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions.
