BT Gave me permission to leave during my contract ...

Always a but isn't there OK I was not really happy with BT (Had various problems with them messing up billing and so forth) and looking around noticed I could get a lot cheaper elsewhere. So anyway, I was eventually granted my release from BT and got told the contract was more or less torn up and I was "FREE" to leave. Would not be held to my contract or what not (Included vision and broadband) BT sent me letters and bags to return home hub and vision box (which I have) Imagine my surprise though when I see my final bill and notice that I been charged for the rest of my contract for vision and the box (which I have returned) Came to a whopping £219.53 all in. How could I be charged for something when I was told that I could leave for free?

    I'm in initial stages of testing Oracle 12c (12.1.0.1) on Windows, 64-bit with an application I develop.
    I had two working instances on the system. After an unscheduled power cycle, the instances refuse to start.

    Is it Vista or 2008, by default in these severs only files have a read only attribute Any changes to the folder's read-only box will only affect the files inside the folder, then the read-only box will default back to blue when you check it again.
    Because the attribute is set on the file level, then unchecking the folder box doesn't remove the Read-Only attribute, Check his note for more understanding and solution.

    How many employees is there for payroll processing.. How much time it is taking for processing..Mighit be hardly 2 hours or more???
    In case of ESS is there SAP standard progrm is there it will post pending documents which is approved through job scheduling.. In case of R/3 Day late hours if you run i.e end of the general shift before 3 hours you can complete payroll processing. Just 2 to 3 hours for every month they have to wait for master data updation..
    Or Create Business process for payroll processsing every month cut off date and time it will be very easy to stop masterdata for every users. before processing use this program "HFIUCPL0" to aviod open master data.

  • Error MOS-01105: Permission Denied message during install

    I am trying to install BW30B with Oracle 9.2 on a Sun Solaris 64bit machine. I am using Exceed to display the installation GUI.
    I keep getting the error message:
    Unable to access file <Path>/SAPENV.SH Permission Denied.
    I am running the install with root permissions. The above path does exist and I have given all the files 777 rights. I have in turn given the <SID>adm and ora<SID> directories 777 access. It looks like its trying to copy the scripts from the /UNIX/COMMON/INSTALL directory into the <SID>adm & ora<SID> directories when it fails.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    By Default none of us have root permissions. To work around this we start the installation as sapadm and add the install path to the sudo list so that the install runs with root permissions.
    Eg: sapadm> sudo /sapcd/BWINSTALL/INSTALL
    The destination filesystem is remotely mounted, though i think that's not the problem as we have successfully installed SAP from that path before. The error message from the sapinst log file is below. Also the userid's have already been created and I have set their home directories to 777 permissions.

  • I need to speak to a person.  My bank card has been charged over $500 in fees from Itunes that I did not make.  I spoke to someone in India on 7/22 gave them permission to take over my computer and that is what he said.

    I need to speak to a person on the phone.  I talke to someone in India on 7/22 I have him total control of my computer he went into my bank account and could see all the charges.  His name was Amhit something, he said there was over $500 in charges that I did not make since over a year this has been happening.  I tried before to address this with apple but I never get a person and the amounts are always small and then on 7/22 I got a larger charge so I called and somehow got Amhit.  Amhit changed my apple password to he could get into my account but I didn't know what it was and I have not been able to do anything in itunes since 7/22 but yet today 8/1 there is a $6.39 charge on my bank card.  Something is very messed up!!!!  Amhit said he would get me a credit and call me the next day...surprise he never called.  I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gave away upgrade and not renewing my contract

        My son's phone broke and he needed a replacement. He's going on a long trip next week and needed to have a working phone. Well, I was due for an upgrade in November and my contract was up. He was not due until February. I gave him my upgrade so he wouldn't be without a phone. I wasn't aware that if I gave him my upgrade my contract would be renewed because he was getting the new phone not me. Well, now I have a problem. I wasn't going to renew my line. I was going to terminate it. Now I'm stuck with my old phone and his contract still is up in February and he has an upgrade. So technically couldn't he upgrade his phone again or just cancel outright while still having a new phone. Also, if he wanted, he's got a brand new phone with an extra upgrade to use at anytime if he so chooses. The only way I can get out of my contract now is too pay the ETF. This makes no sense to me.  Is there anything I can do? We're on the family plan. I have a total of four lines on it. I don't want to upgrade either using his upgrade. That wasn't the plan. Do I have any options or am I just sol?

    well it's your "line" that had the available upgrade and that was renewed, so your phone number will be the one stuck with verizon for the next 2 years. you can swap phone numbers and he can move his phone to your number and use it, and then in february you are free to leave (he will use your current line/number and you take his number to another carrier or just get a new number). otherwise, yes, you are stuck paying the etf if you want to take your phone number and port it to another carrier.

  • How to leave Verizon after contract ends - taking with me the phone number?

    My contract is about to end - Nov. 5 - and I want to port the number over to an entirely new phone, which will use Straight Talk.
    Do I let the contract expire, then port the number? Or do I port the number first, then let it expire? It's not clear whatsoever. If I port it before, then I risk an early termination fee (ETF) unless I clear it with them first. I'd rather let it expire, then port the number over, eliminating any risk of ETF. But if I do that, will my number be lost? or is there some kind of grace period when I can still port my old number out?

    Hopefully more people will find this thread Googling around.  My phone transfer was made but my online Verizon account indicated my phone was "Suspended."  Calling customer service was a joke.  Mind you, my question was simple: "Will I owe Verizon any more $"  and "What does suspended mean.  Answers: "yes," and I never got an answer for number two. 
    So, here I am paying 65% more for Verizon and now they're coming after a pre-paid two weeks of service plus another bill cycle....  You can't imagine how many pieces of cranium I had to pull form the ceiling.  Further, the Customer Service Rep was so poorly trained, she didn't know that "paid in full" means "paid in advance."  To her, I was going to pay for 6 weeks of service whether I liked it or not.  She told me it was due to my new provider canceling my account to late in the billing cycle.  Which made no sense to anyone who's been through this process before.  As long as it's switched within a current month, there is no new invoice for the upcoming bill cycle.  So, I did the math of the situation, realized the CS Rep was wrong, questioned her logic, and then asked for a supervisor.  The other thing that was weird, CS would not give me an explanation in writing other than snail mail!  She couldn't email and was not authorized to give written data to customers.  Who the H#ll uses snail mail anymore?    I was told it would be 45 minutes before I could speak with a supervisor and they'd call me.....  Still waiting!  Almost Two hours later!  Tells you how many mad customers Verizon has or how much they actually care about their customers!
    I finally called my new provider and looked at that account on-line and sure enough, the CS Rep lied to place blame on my new carrier or was clueless of Verizon's non pro-rate policy.  So, I called their CS department again and had someone with a brain at the other end of the line who explained it the way I understood it.  She also told me it was not my new provider!  My comment back was, "That's the way I thought it worked.  You guys do a horrible job training your reps and thanks."  I will not receive another months bill.....  What a joke.  They created all of that aggravation due to their lack of training or dishonest employees.
    My point is this:  The above is the reason I'm leaving Verizon.  For the over priced service, they should be honest, train their Customer Service Reps so we customers do not get angry (they might save a few customers that way), and prorate billing cycles by rounding out to the next week.  The reason I bring this up is I'm saving 65% by switching and, yes, that's a real number...  I had to prepay my first bill.  And, there's no hissing in the connection......  Way better deal!

  • Reconcillation of by product during sub contracting

    Dear Experts ,
    I have a question regarding by product received from Sub Contractor .
    I send material A & B , and receive material C along with by product X .
    I do the normal sub con process & receive material from sub contractor , afetr recieving the Material B from sub cont. I do reconcillation of the sub con challan , in this transaction only child material A & B is visible the by prioduct X is not listed in it.
    My question is ,should the by product appear in the challan during reconcillation or it shouldnt.

    By product is end result of process along with material B.
    You are not sending by product while issuing material to vendor using 57F4 Challan.
    So it wont' appear in challan reconcillation.

  • How to do settings for serial numbers during  sub contracting

    i want to serial numbers to be populated when i do GR for a subcontracting PO. then it will be used in house  for another higher assembly where it  assigns another set of serial numbers  and that higher assembly is sold to the customer. then can i have a trach of all these serial numbers which have been used in different assembly levels.
    how the case happens when you reject a sub contracing item which  has been Competed with GR. Please tell me what are the settings to be done for it.

    if  proper serial no. profile assigned to material in storage data1/2 data, u can assign serial no to material at GR as well as at production & at delivery..
    u can track this material by serial no.
    If u received material from subcontractor, u can return same by cancelling material doc. or return 122 O.
    but while receiving next time u have to enter another sr. no

  • Problem during sub-contracting

    Dear Experts,
    My client is making a finished product after 9 Operations, In which first and last 3 operations are in-house operations.
    Middle 3 operations are performed in sub-contractor's place at 3 different work centers.
    The client wants to track the "qty after each operation" at the sub-contractor's place. They also want to do the capacity planning of the sub-contractor's work centers, to make the further processes smooth.

  • Item mapping during SRM Contract Distribution

    Hi All,
    When I distribute Central Contract from SRM to ECC How do I do product mapping?
    Eg -  My product ID in SRM and ECC is different and while distributing contract to ECC, I would need to map SRM product to ECC product.
    I checked FM BBP_PRODUCT_MAP is for the purpose of product mapping thru SAP Content Integrator.
    SAP Content Integrator is a part of MDM where the mappings are maintained.
    But in SRM 7.0 the Content integrator FMs  like /SAPMCI/GET_CONTENT seems obsolete.
    Any idea how the product mappings is achieved in SRM 7.0.

                          There is a scenario where in like am facing with my clients,
          my client company is a manufacturing company, as if now 75% of job was done through sub-contract only, and 25 % of job was done in their own warehouse,so they want to tack their item which is going out for sub-contracting, (for example) they are transferring  their raw materials in "KILOGRAM" to sub-contractors, while receiving as semi finished they get in "Numbers". so i want to Track the "UOM"  as well consuming of raw materials also.
    kindly advice how to map this scenario..

    Hi Chandrashekhar,
    You need to create BOM-Bills of material for that activity (changing RM item to Semi Finished item) and complete the production process.
    In BOM definition you need to mention Semi finished item as Parent Item and RM as Child Item.By doing this you will have the different UOM as both the items are different.
    You can create new warehouse with name of sub-contractor, and use in above process to track material lying with sub contractor.
    You will have to track other commercial activities separately, like creating Purchase Order on the name of Sub-contractor for services, and completing the Purchase cycle there. Where as stock level transactions are to be create by posting BOM,Production Order,Issue for Production(RM in KG to Sub contractor whare house),Receipt from Production(Semin finished item in No. to main ware house).
    Hope by following above steps you can do the desired functionality.

    I just read an article regarding the FCC's "fine" for Verizon Wireless;

    It is a joke.
    But Verizon is going to lose more than just $25M.
    My contract expires in a little less than one year.
    We currently pay around $150 per month.  How much would I pay over years of service if Verizon were actually a good company to do business with?
    It won't be just me.  There are many, many people (just look at the other posts on this forum) that are going to leave Verizon as well.
    Interesting business practice.  Cheat, rob, and steal from your current customers, perhaps hoping they will not leave, and relying on new business to keep coming in?

    Your statement that I (and others that have stated that they are going to leave Verizon) will not be missed by Verizon, is kind of, part of, my point.  Verizon does not care about their current customer base.  Once you are signed into a contract; they know that "most" people will not leave during their contract because they would have to pay a "fine"; and they count on many people just simply renewing, because that is easier, when the contract comes due.
    Of course; not everyone will be happy with a particular business they decide to do do business with.  What happens when people are not happy with a business though?  They generally leave.  Right?  Sure, there are people who will hang on and just complain and keep doing things the way they do.  I see it all the time.
    That's great that you have not been robbed, cheated, or swindled by VZW.  Other people HAVE!  Clue: that is why the FCC has "fined" them.  That would be for their "less than honest" business practice. 
    Of those amazing numbers you have thrown up, and pretty much indicated that the people who post here are a very, very, small number of VZW customers, how many of those who do not post here do you suppose HAVE been impacted by VZW's less than honest business practice?  Even if only 1% of all subscribers leave, don't you think that will be a much LARGER loss than $25M?
    I read most of the articles concerning the FCC fine on Yahoo news.  People on Yahoo can comment on those articles.  On just ONE article, there were THOUSANDS of people who posted their discontent with VZW (and one or two people who praised them).
