BT Home Hub connection issue on XBOX 360

I have just upgraded from a BT Home Hub 3, to the BT Home Hub 4, before the upgrade I ran Sky TV wired, and 3PCs wifi, my Ipad and my Iphone. I also ran my XBOX 360 wifi, and a PS3 wifi, all worked no problem.
Now I am on BT Home Hub 4, all my connections are the same all working well apart from the XBOX 360.
I have tried doing the fix on the BT site logging into the Hub changed the SIDD and set the other bit to NO. this did not work.
I then reset the XBOX to factory settings as this was in another fix, I then reset the XBOX to the Hub 4, logged on to call of duty ghosts got half way through a game it crashed out saying no conection reset to test conection.
The Hub will conect to my XBOX 360 but only stay conected for up to 14 mins at most.
Do I need to go back to my BT Home Hub 3, Can any body help its starting to be a pain. As one good person said use a wired conection that would be good, but due to location would be hard. I did think upgrading was ment to make things better not harder. Please Help.

To add, I had on online chat with BT, they said that no problems exist about XBOX 360  and the BT Home Hub to do with wifi.
If this is the case why have a fix on the BT site, that does not work may I add well not on my XBOX.
I found BT online chat not much help in this case.
Please advise and help

  • Can a 23 or 30-inch display be connected to a XBOX 360 or PS3?

    Can a 23 or 30-inch display be connected to a XBOX 360 or PS3?
    Thanks.

If your PowerBook has a dual-link DVI port, it will work with the 30-inch Cinema Display; this port can be found on a PowerBook with a clock speed of 1.67GHz. Neither the PowerBook nor the MacBook has upgradable graphics.

  • Trouble Connecting a Wireless Xbox 360 Controller to Windows 8.1 via the Play & Charge Kit

I've been trying to connect a standard black wireless Xbox 360 controller to my PC, a Dell Inspiron 17R Special Edition (what makes it special is a mystery to me, but that's the name) with the standard Play & Charge Kit.
I downloaded the drivers from Microsoft's website <http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/xbox-360-wireless-controller-for-windows>. Since there was no version for Windows 8.1, I downloaded the version for windows 7 (64-bit) and ran the installer
in compatibility mode. The installer ran just fine, and I was able to run joy.cpl with no trouble. The trouble was, my controller doesn't show up in the list of game controllers, which is blank.
Under Devices and Printers, an item named "Xbox 360 Wireless Controller via Play and Charge Kit" appears in the "Unspecified" category. When I look at the properties of this device, there are only two tabs, "General" and "Hardware".
Under the "Hardware" tab, there is a device also named"Xbox 360 Wireless Controller via Play and Charge Kit" whose properties have all the proper drivers and suchlike.
    Help!

    Uninstall all the driver.
Download and install the latest driver,or,you may try the same to get via Windows Update.

  • Home hub connected but can't open web pages

    Hi
Having a problem accessing any web pages. Has been like this for last 3 days. All the lights on the BT Home Hub are on and according to the task bar on my laptop it is connected and signal etc is all fine. When you open browser it tries to connect but never loads a page and eventually times out. Have phoned BT broadband help and they say there is nothing wrong with the line. Pretty certain it's not my laptop as my wife's has exactly the same problem and she uses a different browser and has different anti-virus software.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

I have also had exactly the same problem!
I've had the BT Broadband option 1 for at least 3 years now and not had any major problems (lucky me).  I decided to go for the new package (TV, Broadband (option 2), & calls package £18 per month - currently on offer) as I wanted to get Sky Sports through BTVision.  I'm not allowed Sky or cable TV where I live.  The activation date for Broadband option 2 was Monday 7th March and Monday 14th for BTVision.  This also included a new router i.e. HomeHub3.
On Sunday the 6th March my internet connection was fine i.e. could open web pages, get email etc (using a BT Voyager Router).  On Monday 7th I went on line and was unable to open web pages.  I thought it might be a minor problem i.e. back up in an hour.
On Tuesday the 8th March I still had the same problem (Voyger Router) but had also received my new router (BT Home Hub 3).  I decided to install the new hub thinking that would resolve the problem but it did not.  I then tried a wirless & cable (2 different cables) connection to my PC & XBox and still could get online even though I was "Connected".  I phoned the broadband help desk and was on the phone for at least an hour with no success.  The help desk agent said it could be a problem with my account and said he would ring me back on Wed at 8pm........guess what?  No phone call.  I then phoned up again (10pm) & went through all the usual tests.......again!  It still didn't work and I was told that it was probably a problem with my PC and they put me through to another department that should be able to help.  I was then asked what the problem was (no communication between department then!)  I had to go through the whole thing again and was then told that I would have to pay £10 a month (for at least 3 months) for them to do further checks.
Wednesday & Thursday evening I phoned the Broadband help line (same tests again - no notes on my previous calls!) and still no success. I didn't pay for the £10 month service (BT Home help) out of principle and do not know what to do next.

  • E3000 Setup Issue with Xbox 360

I just got my new router and went to setup it up. I put my laptop next to the router and followed the directions on the disc, once the install was done i could not access cisco program on the laptop. I decided to access the web base setup panal to get the 5ghz channel set up for my Xbox and leave the 2.4 channel alone.
My xbox shows that it is connected to the router but it won't get past the internet portion of the test.... I have found no posts about this issue, and plenty of port forwarding posts. Anyone think that port forwarding would help this matter?? I have 1 xbox 360 that i want on the 5 ghz channel and the rest of my stuff i had setup on the 2.4 ( ps3, ipad, ipod, laptop ) . At one point i couldn't even access the internet from those items. I did a full reset on the router and tried installing the program again with no joy...
I reconnected my old router for the time being and it all worked fine ( WRT110 model )....  I am out of ideas

Its always worth a shot, but i ran into sorta the same problem with the WRT110, when i tried to run it on N only for the Xbox.... Thats why i got this one so i could run my xbox on N 5ghz and the rest on B/G 2.4.... Thanks for the feedback, i will give it a shot and see if there was somthing i missed.

  • Home hub 3 issues

    Hi
I need some help if anybody is able to offer it.
Our home hub 3 is working intermittently at best and has been so for several weeks now. It drops out frequently. We have to restart it at least daily and change the channel 3-4 times daily just so we can have a decent wireless connection.
I spent two hours on the phone with tech support last weekend being guided through the process of changing the channel, something I could have done in 30 seconds if I'd been advised that was what needed doing.
I am very close to stamping on the blooming thing. It's clearly faulty and unfit for purpose and wouldn't be any worse for a good stomping.
So two things. How likely is BT to offer me a product/service that works properly (any nice BT people around to help me with that one?) or, failing that, how legal is it for me to quit the contract without penalty on the basis that the service I'm paying for doesn't work and is therefore not fit for purpose? I'd rather the former but I must admit to becoming somewhat resentful at having to pay for something that's broken. There comes a point, you know?
    Thanks in advance
    Bren

    Hey imjolly,
Interesting development. Following my complaint to BT which contained that old adage 'not fit for purpose', I received email and a phone call stating that 'some changes have been made at the server end which should improve matters' or words to that effect. Sure enough the service does appear to be more stable than it was and close to what it was until a few weeks ago.
I'm obviously glad that I finally have the service I pay for but I'm not impressed by the palaver I had to endure to get it. Clearly there was something that BT could have done but didn't until I got shirty. My contract is up in a couple of months. I'm pretty sure that BT is going to struggle to keep my custom. The service is great when it works but when things go wrong there just doesn't seem to be a customer focused response.
For all that, I wanted to say thanks to you for your input and suggestions. Thank you
    Bren

  • Connecting macbook to Xbox 360, HOW?

    Hi guys,
I have an xbox 360 and a new macbook. I want to connect my macbook to the xbox 360 to view itunes library and photos etc. How do I go about this, ie what cables etc do I need? Can I connect now using the stuff I have?
    xbox 360
    macbook
    BT HomeHub
    Ethernet Cable
Airport Extreme Built in to macbook.
    Help much appreciated,
    Baz, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

I use a program called Connect 360 from Nullriver Software which is free, just have a look on Google for it. It connects to your macbook via your wireless connection. You can watch .wmv and play music from your itunes. Just put the program on your macbook and it is very easy to set up.

  • Connecting to an xbox 360

I've been driving myself crazy this afternoon, trying to get my xbox 360 to connect to the internet via my Airport Express.
I know it can be done, at least with an Extreme (in b/g only mode), because I used to have it hooked up to my old roommates setup like that.
My xbox and its wireless adaptor "sees" my wireless network, but fails to connect to it.
Can someone determine once and for all, whether or not the auto settings on the 360 do in fact work. And if not, just what I should be doing?
I note that a lot of the proposed solutions on the net precede the changes that the last update to the Airport Admin utility brought.
I should note, that my connection is as follows:
DSL to Airport Express via PPPoE - sharing out the net to my devices.
My Wii has no problem connecting.
Big help needed here, and will be much appreciatd.

Yeah, the xbotch only supports 802.11b. I have my extreme configured to be n/b/g compatible, and it seems to work fine. Problem is that I have another xbotch in my bedroom which is on the other side of the house. I picked up an express to use to boost the signal from my extreme to that side of the house. The express comes online and connects to my airport extreme, but it doesn't extend the signal at all, my xbotch seems to ignore the express which is basically right next to it, and connects to the extreme on the other side of the house, thus only getting one bar of connection. If the express configuration software actually worked, I might be able to troubleshoot the problem to get it to actually boost the signal, but it doesn't even let me configure it all so basically I'm screwed.

  • Problems with internet sharing/network connection/ethernet and XBOX 360

So basically I have a sent my Mac Book Pro 13" (Snow Leopard) away to be fixed, and in return I got a loan Mac Book Pro 15" (Lion). In the two weeks my Mac book was away getting fixed I purchased an XBOX 360, because of my location I am unable to use wireless on my XBOX, so instead I connect the loan Mac Book to the XBOX 360 via network cable.
This worked fine and I could now connect to XBOX Live and be on the Mac Book at the same time.
So today my Mac Book (13") is returned, I connect everything up exactly the same also changing the settings on internet sharing making sure that it can be used to send the connection to other devices via ethernet.
    But it just wont connect.
The XBOX doesnt find the connection like it did before, and it also doesnt register on the MAC Book either.
I've tried different cables, the same cable I used where it worked before.
I've tried turning of Virus protection.
Both still at both ends it is not registering a connection, I have used this Mac Book before through a network cable so I dont think there is a problem there, to my knowledge everything is the same as I did on the other Mac Book but this one does work.
Have you any advice or tips on how to get this to work?
    Thanks for your time.

What I did to get my network running again (although I still haven't found out why DHCP has stopped working):
    1. Open the Control Panel of the computer that's trying to connect to the network (not the computer sharing the internet connection)
    2. Go to 'Network' panel, and select the AirPort connection
    3. Under the 'TCP/IP' tab, change 'Configure IPv4' pull-down menu from 'Using DHCP' to 'Manually'.
    4. Enter an IP address between 10.0.2.2 and 10.0.2.256 (I randomly chose 10.0.2.40), a Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0, and enter 10.0.2.1 in the Router box.
    5. Click "Apply now"
The computer should now be connected to the network, and able to access the internet. If not, you may need to manually enter a DNS server - put '4.2.2.1' (or an IP for a DNS server provided by your ISP) into the 'DNS Servers' box.
You need to do that process for each computer you're trying to connect to the shared network, making sure you enter a different IP Address for each.

  • Connecting T6100 to xbox 360

someone please help me!!!! i got the inspire t6100 surround system but i cant work out how to connect it to my xbox 360! is there any way to connect using a digital optical cable?

    @jason-cl
Sorry buddy, why creative is still recommending people to buy DDTS-100 and still advertising it on its website ? I thought the product is discontinued. I think creative should remove it from its website if it's discontinued. Please kindly make clear of this. A lot of people desperately search for this great product, I'm one of them, luckily I can get one without any warranty, but not everyone as lucky as I am. Thx

  • WRT54G Issues with Xbox 360

Okay, I got this Wireless router so that my family could get more then one computer eventually. Now we only have one computer still but we have added an Xbox 360 to our network recently. However, the version 6 that we bought is not on xbox 360 compatible router list and encounters some problems. Namely that it causes some of my friends games to be unjoinable and doesn't allow chatting with them. I need to figure out how to get this router to be able to work at full efficiency with my 360 or else I will constantly be hooking and unhooking the DSL cable and directly connecting to my modem. I'm curious if running it as a router instead of a gateway may help with this. I'm also curious if anyone has already fixed this problem. Any more data needed by you I will gladly provide. Oh, also, the ISP is Windstream.

Hey very first thing you need to be able to go Online using the DSL modem with the router & the pc.Also, the firmware should be latest then you will be able to do the wireless & advancedc wireless settings & now connect the XBOX to be connected to the router & for XBOX settings... Please click on the tab "Application and gaming" and click on sub tab "Port range forwarding" 1) On the first line in Application box type in "Xbox", in start box type in 88, in end box type in 88, in protocol keep it both, in ip address type in 192.168.1.20 and give a check mark on enable box. 2) On the second line in Application box type in "Xbox", in start box type in 3074, in end box type in 3074, in protocol keep it both, in ip address type in 192.168.1.20 and give a check mark on enable box. 3) Now save the settings 4) Once you return to the setup page, click on the tab "Administration" and disable the UPNP and save the settings. 5) Now assign the given ip address on your xbox ip address :- 192.168.1.20 subnet mask :- 255.255.255.0 default gateway :- 192.168.1.1 Please assign the dns address on the xbox primary dns :- 4.2.2.2 secondary dns :- 192.168.1.1 6) Please try to test your xbox live & you will be able to play the games on the XBOX live.
